What console are you using? if its the ps4, go right twice and press x a couple of times. then press r2 to exit the name screen. then there will be a screen with difficulty, go to the most left one and press x.

Hello there! Well, if there's something I'd like to play for sure is something close to the classic survivor horror games from the Playstation One, Resident Evil, though the 3 first games I managed to beat with sighted help, Silenthill, Alone in the Dark, etc. I can try to help with a plot, ideas and even some sounds if you are up to the challenge.Best regards, Haramir.

Electrolysis and Accessibility

2016-06-07 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Sebby via Audiogames-reflector

Electrolysis and Accessibility

Firefox will introduce Electrolysis starting with version 48 for a small fraction (1%) of users, for about 50% of users in version 49, and more later. The 50% or so aren't running add-ons or screen readers. This is an eligibility requirement for Electrolysis. There are technical difficulties. Accessibility APIs are synchronous, and splitting Firefox up into processes means the main process will have to communicate to accessibility tools information that is itself communicated from subprocesses. Of course, this creates scheduling complications, so while processes are now more isolated, they are nevertheless blocked from operating asynchronously with respect to the main process. Google have solved this problem in Chrome using DOM caches in the main process, which eats up more memory but guarantees that the main process can't get hung up on subprocesses as often.A 64-bit multi-process architecture is a big rea
son I recommend Chrome. Maybe we poor, helpless blind can finally get off IE or Safari with a browser that's not made by Google.

Re: Installing mak on my computer: how to go about it?

2016-06-07 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Sebby via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Installing mak on my computer: how to go about it?

Yeah, OS X is licensed, not sold. So just like every other vendor's software, including Microsoft's. The difference, of course, is how the companies make money: Apple makes it from hardware, and Microsoft makes it from spying on you. Oh, hang on--that's today's Microsoft. They used to make it from selling you software. In any event, the terms of software license agreements, of any kind, can and should be disregarded with reckless abandon, and only the law should guide your actions. As long as you're not infringing copyrights, you're all right. I doubt any court of law would regard these click-wrap contracts as enforceable, and once you completed the sale, your ownership came into effect on any hardware and the software contained. So buy a Mac, image the software, and install the VM on your PC or in a VM on your Mac booted into Windows. Or install an OEM copy of Windows that you got on a DVD on to as many computers as you damn well please. Or install L
inux, and follow the terms exactly, because really, that's just how software licenses ought to be.I agree; every time this subject comes up my answer is the same: in the end, the actual experience of running OS X in a VM is more than sufficient to turn you off it. OS X, while it may indeed be a large constituent part of the Mac, is not the whole of the Mac--that is the role of the hardware, and the well-optimised drivers that drive it. Really, just go out and find the cheapest Mac Mini you can find on FleaBay, and use that.I do think Apple could improve the odds by opening up OS X, at least as far as virtualisation. Think of all the developers and server admins that would be much happier if they could run OS X and Xcode or OS X Server on their big iron boxes. Apple could easily target the most common VM environments and make it a lot sweeter, I'm sure. And they could slap a high price on it, so people wishing to hack it to run on their own hardware would not
get away scot-free. I know Apple tried in the past to liberate Mac OS, but then they were careless; now that the landscape is so very different, maybe, just maybe, they could win favour with those fleeing Microsoft's tender embraces.

Just be aware that for Outlook Express, you can't use a secure connection on port 587, so try 465. 587 would work if security is not required (SSL). In any case, consult the person who runs the mail server to find out which ports you should be using, or whether or not you need security.

Re: Crazy Party: mini-games and card battle! (beta39)

hello alli have encountered an issue, that perhaps could be fixed, not sure if anyone else would benefit from this, but i sure would.I actually, being the total newb i love to be, screwed up most of my decks, and its a pain to go through each one, and unselecting cards, such as thorn (0).so what i was curious about is, if the decks can have a default value option. So lets say i am done using that deck, which mostly has water type and air type cards, and I know i just want to start fresh on that deck, rather than unselecting each card, i could just press enter on "default" and all cards would be 0, thus i won't have to worry about going and manually putting 0 for all the cards i had used.hopefully what i am asking for is not too confusing or i can see if i could clerify. But thanks for the consideration, this would be very useful!

When was the last time you changed your Apple password? I bet they made you change it because your password doesn't fit into their rules anymore. For example, if you made a basic password 2 years ago and it only consisted of lowercase letters, it would force you to change it now since the rules have changed and the password you were using before is considered weak. It only forces you to change it on their site which explains why you could go for so long without changing it.

And although I had sighted assistance with shops and such, not long after, I was able to buy my own weapons, and items, and also use the forges. Needless to say this game combines the layout of chess, but with a story mode you can keep up with by the use of cut scenes. Although I wished for the conversations to be read sometimes, all in all it's a really great game.

Re: Crazy Party: mini-games and card battle! (beta39)

Flame, if you want have more than 12 decks, you can create more decks as a txt file, and putting them on /deck  folder. On that folder, a example.txt deck is for follow A, another suggestion. currently, you get gems in online mode, including when you're a looser. And definitely this approach is incorrect. The gems are a price, and the maximum looser doesn't have receipt any gift. Only give gems to the players that can defeat one or more people. One gem per player that have less score than you.And if you want, another gem if you can get more than 100 coins. But a free gem only for play, nop. That is all :3

When you start the game, press x or start, it should ask if you want to play online, press x or circle, then you should be in the menu, press x and then the character screen has sounds, and you can press right to change your character to female. Each class has a sound. which is pretty cool!

I went to find it with the Find My iPhone thing on iCloud for web, it makes me log in, as usual, but then it forces me to change my apple ID password, before I could find the damn thing by meas of playing a sound which wouldn't end until I shut it up, so I begrudgingly change my password, and find the phone. 2016-06-07 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Jeffb via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Harry potter books memories from harry potter fans

I love Harry Potter and I'll be in HP World in Universal FL in about 2 weeks! The one thing that really bums me out is the lack of an actually Harry Potter audio game. Sure Sarah and the Castle of Wizardry was okay but it’s not the real thing. I wanted a HP PlayStation game when I was 10 for Christmas. I refused to say I couldn't play it walking into the same wall. My cousin 6 at the time said "give me the controller you don't know what you're doing, you're just walking into walls." I did try a Game Cube version of it where Harry just told me over and over to go to the Weezely's barn. I still hold out hope for a HP audio game. One of my favorite memories was having a Harry Potter party at my local library the night one of the books came out. We had potions class where we put together cookie mix in a jar, Care of Magical Creatures where we looked at creatures, and I think we may have even been sorted. I remember going at midnight and going to wait for the books and had my parents or someone read them to me. When the 7th book came I got it on CD and forced myself to finish it over a weekend because of a theater summer program I went to and I knew that stuff would be spoiled. Luckily I did finish it in time Jim Dale being the best of course! I remember at the time I really was confused by how Sirius died. At the time I don't think I understood that he crossed through the door of death itself and not understanding that really frustrated me. In the 7th book it seemed like J.K. Rouling just started killing people just to kill people, and that the final battle between Harry and Voldemort was poor and not at all what the book led it up to be. As for the question about bathrooms of course they would have always been there. One clue is that Myrtle died in that bathroom 50 years ago when the chamber was last opened. If you are talking about before the invention of plumbing that may be possible if the school existed back then. Unless the plumbing in the school is magical, but enough about magic poo. Magic email there was a Disney show the Wizards of Waverly place that had wiz mail and internet. However I do not think electronics fit into Harry Potter and that it was meant to be more of an old fashioned world less advanced in some ways than muggles, but even more advanced than the muggle world in more ways. One question is though if they could regrow bones why couldn't they fix Harry's vision? Did that mean they couldn't cure blindness and if not is there a wizarding school for the blind? Another point I saw in a YouTube video is that Harry should have been able to see the Thestrals before book4 as he clearly had nightmares about seeing his mother die. He had seen his parent’s die he was right there he also saw Quirrell die at least was in the chamber when he probably did.

As for the ball game, you should sometimes look beyond your 3 balls and what your opponent would end up with. For instance, if I had minus, double minus, double plus, minus, megaplus coming up, I might just take 1 giving me the minus. Then I would be assured my opponent cannot take the megaplus. A fun game and one I would play more if it was playable without gems once unlocked.

What's worse is that they then abruptly decided to stop supporting the PC version, demonstrating how much they care about their paying customers. If you're buying for console, you probably won't get burned and will in all likelihood have a great time with Injustice 2. If you're like me and don't have a console, steer clear of Nether Realm. When a game from Warner Brothers professes to support the PC platform, Warn a Brother.Kai

Re: Going back to Windows 7, a good or a bad idea?

As I said, all of those apps can be removed.Just out of curiosity, did you sign in with a Microsoft account? i've never had any of the problems you describe with notifications and such. Then again, on a new installation of Windows 10, the very first thing I do is to get rid of all the apps. Well, that, and tweak all the privacy settings to my liking.I will never use a Microsoft account, as I don't want any of my data being stored in the cloud. I keep lots of things on my computer that I want to keep safe from prying eyes. Besides, I do not want to be dependent on an internet connection to be able to sign into my computer. That's ludicrous. And, you're absolutely right, all the apps are unnecessary on a desktop computer or even a laptop. Sure, there are a lot of folks who would disagree with that stance, but these are the same folks who predicted, when touch screens really started to take off, that keyboards would disappear within 5 years. Well, gu
ess what? That didn't happen. At Crashmaster, I'm on that same Win10 email list, and I've seen the kinds of messages you're describing. For the record, I also use Ribbon Disabler. I don't like ribbons at all. I find them irritating and cumbersome. When I first installed Windows 10, I installed Classic Shell, too, but I moved away from that because it was buggy. The start menu isn't too bad once you get rid of the live tiles and obliterate all of those stupid default apps. The only thing I really miss from previous versions of Windows is first letter navigation, which I hope microsoft adds in the future.

Re: Crazy Party: mini-games and card battle! (beta39)

The trick to sticks is to force them to take from a number one greater than a multiple of four.  so, if you can multiply something by four, add one to it.  so that would be 4, 8, 12, 16, 20,24, 28, 32, etc.Add one to that, and that's the target number you want to shoot for.  so if there are 18 sticks on the table, take one and force him to draw from 17.  keep doing this an you'll win every time.Sticking with this example, let's say he takes 1, making it 16.  take 3, making the total 13.  Assuming he himself takes three, making it ten, only take one.  He then will have to make it 8, 7, or 6.  Draw once more, leaving him with five.  After that, no matter what he does, you can force him into taking the last stick.  So, the rule of thumb, again, is make him draw from a multiple of four plus 1.As for the ball game, the trick here is to take the most amount of points while minimizing your losses.
so if youre up against a minus, minus, double plus, take three, because it evens out to zero gained.  If you're up against double minus, double minus, plus, take one and hope for a better chance.  take it slow and think through it.

Re: Introducing: Out of Sight Games

2016-06-07 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : Joseph Westhouse via Audiogames-reflector

Re: Introducing: Out of Sight Games

(Preface: I hope this reply doesn't sound terse. It's not meant to...I'm just really tired, and sometimes that means I'm not a good judge of tone.)Assault: I totally get what you're saying. We went a long time keeping things very quiet, not mentioning that we were working on a game, for the exact reasons you mention. When it came time to start talking about it, we recognized that some people would get impatient, and that's okay. But I'm not sure your comparison to what triple-A studios do is entirely fair. First of all, there are plenty of times when a game studio will announce that they've "begun development" on a title, without any sort of release date - or with a very tentative date ("sometime in 2018" for example). But as for the three options you suggest, I'd never want to commit to an uneducated release date and then release an incomplete game. Anyone who's played a title that was rushed out o
f production just to make a particular release date (I'm looking at you, KotOR II) knows how upsetting this is. As for waiting to announce the game until we could say for sure when it'd release...you guys would've gotten about two weeks of hype. Because we just don't have the framework to predict anything with more accuracy than that - we don't have the experience, or the history, to make more educated predictions. Maybe we should've just waited - but then we wouldn't have had the opportunity to interact with the community in the meantime, which has been very beneficial. As for Option 3 - providing regular clips and the like - that was sort of the intent, and we've tried to provide updates when it seems reasonable. There are probably a few reasons those updates haven't been as frequent as you could expect from something like a triple-A studio, though, some of which include:- We aren't a triple-A studio. Some weeks, I migh
t not be able to find more than an hour or two to work on the game. When I have such limited time, I'm forced to prioritize between working on the game, and working on publicity for the game - and in cases like that, I tend to want to spend my time working on the game itself.- This isn't a fighting game: In a fighting game, you can demo a new character every week without spoiling a significant portion of the experience for players. In a game that's about story and exploration, it's a little harder to find things to demo that won't then rob players of the enjoyment of discovering or experiencing those things themselves for the first time. Obviously there are ways around this - but at the same time, I sometimes struggle with knowing what things would make an interesting demo. I would love to provide more regular little clips of gameplay, but I have a hard time knowing what sorts of things I should do demos of.- The kind of progress we're makin
g doesn't demo well - Other than Drew working on creating the myriad of sounds you'll hear in combat, most of what we're working on right now are things like rewriting how the game handles saved data so that updates are more stable, or changing how it randomly populates containers so that item gathering feels more balanced, or playing with the balance of different effects and armor properties to improve combat balance, or messing with the levels at which certain enemies show up so that combat remains challenging at higher levels while also feeling rewarding when you level up. Obviously those aren't the sorts of things we can make a little video of ("Hey guys...check out how smoothly this game loads. Uh...ok. Bye!")- The stuff that's done doesn't demo well without complete sound design - One of the biggest road bumps in our production process was the growing sound design needs of the game, which were way more than Ian and I were up to. We
struggled finding a sound designer who was in a position to take on the needed work. So while Drew is turning out plenty of quality work, he's also playing catch-up, and in the meantime there are plenty of gaps in our sound design that limit what we can do interesting demos for.So all that is to say - we're doing our best to make the best game we can, for all of you. And while we appreciate your eagerness, and can also understand your need for confirmation after so many projects have been announced, only to crash and burn, our first priority is to create the best gameplay experience we can - and to preserve as much of the joy of that experience for you, the player. We're obviously not striking the perfect balance between giving you a taste of the game without spoiling it all, and I'd like to hear more about the sorts of updates that will be interesting and beneficial to you, so we can try to do better.

He's right about one thing: BrailleNote has a legacy, and until I read that message I really didn't stop to think how much I take my BrailleNote for granted, or how such a small thing can have such a big impact. It's truly been one of the most precious and memorable and enduring product lines in all the time I've known it, since the BrailleNote Classic.

Re: Going back to Windows 7, a good or a bad idea?

Hello, @Turtlepower,I don't think I'm doing this downgrade so  as to be against the change. I like changes, of course, everybody does, but when the changes do not suit my needs, then I am forced to not accept the change (not that I want to not change).Windows 7, as far as I'm playing with it,  works very good for this laptop; the windows explorer opens and works faster, the drivers work better, the system crashes less, and though the processor stays higher, the computer is not as sluggish as it was on windows 10.Windows 7 has a really simple interface, the start menu is less complicated, it is more friendly to screen readers, + it doesn't have stuff that I don't need such as app recommendations or whatever windows likes to suggest. The notifications on windows 10 were really tiring; I got invited many times to tell a friend about windows 10, to assess windows 10 from 1 to 10, to give feedback, to become a windows insider,
to get office 365, and a lot more. What's more, the notifications were not read by jaws, and that's where it got even more boring. You may say, move to NVDA, but NVDA didn't satisfy me in these areas: windows explorer, microsoft office and mozilla firefox/internet explorer. Moreover, it had a lot of apps I didn't need, and I think few people do. A computer should be a computer and not a smartphone.By the way, what could you find on windows 10? I tell you.Contacts, phone, calendar, weather, mail, news, maps, a virtual assistant (like siri or OK google), store, and some others, which I don't recall at the moment. So a typical phone.

Re: Crazy Party: mini-games and card battle! (beta39)

The trick with the sticks game is to get your opponent so there are exactly 5 sticks remaining when it's their turn. Then, no matter what they choose, you can get them down to 1 stick. If they choose 1, you're now at 4 and you would take 3. If they take 2, you're now at 3 and you take 2. Etc.

Re: Music Theory in regards to triad chords and what not.

I'll have to look into that. The reason why I posted this is for fun discussion and also because I play bass guitar. And bass is primarily a single note instrument. Unlike Guitar, Keyboard, or Harmonica where you play chords on all the time. However, I have discovered that it is possible to play chords on bass guitar as well. It doesn't happen as often as the other instruments usually because if you play closer intervals together, the lower you go, the muddier it sounds. So if you play a major third double stop high on the neck, it sounds sweet and lovely like it should. But if you come down on the lower end of the neck, especially on the lower pitch strings and play a major third there, then it sounds like you're in the  bowels of hell! Lol!

Re: Python or PureBasic

Jonikster, you need to understand that BGT, indeed, does have and does use mathematics. Do you know why colleges around the world require that you know your math really well before they will even allow you to join a computer science class? It's because everything you do requires math. Every single program that you right (except, perhaps, the simplest programs that just do input and output) require some form of mathematics, whether it be number base conversion, game point calculations, etc. Hell, even bitwise operations uses math!Have you ever seen something like the following?(This program contains a routine to perform a bitwise AND, OR, and XOR on two integers, a bitwise NOT on the first integer, a left shift, right shift, right arithmetic shift, left rotate, and right rotate. All shifts and rotates are done on the first integer with a shift/rotate amount of the second integer.)PureBASIC style:Procedure Bitwise(a, b)  Debug  a & b      ; And  Debug a | b       ;Or  Debug a ! b       ; XOr  Debug ~a          ;Not  Debug a << b      ; shift left  Debug a >> b      ; arithmetic shift right  ; Logical shift right and rotates are not available  ; You can of use inline ASM to achieve this:  Define Temp  ; logical shift rightEnableAsm  !mov edx, dword [p.v_a]  !mov ecx, dword [p.v_b]  !shr edx, cl  !mov dword [p.v_Temp], edx  Debug Temp  ; rotate left  !mov edx, dword [p.v_a]  !mov ecx, dword [p.v_b]  !rol edx, cl  !mov dword [p.v_Temp], edx  Debug Temp  ; rotate right  !mov edx, dword [p.v_a]  !mov ecx, dword [p.v_b]  !ror edx, cl  !mov dword [p.v_Temp], edx  Debug TempDisableAsmEndProcedureAnd here's that same program, in Python 2.x:def bitwise(a, b):        print 'a and b:', a & b        print 'a or b:', a | b        print 'a xor b:', a ^ b        print 'not a:', ~a        print 'a << b:', a << b # left shift        print 'a >> b:', a >> b # arithmetic right shiftHere's Python 3.x style:Python does not have built in rotate or logical right shift operations. Note: Newer Python versions (circa 2.4?) will automatically promote integers into "long integers" (arbitrary length, bounded by available memory). This can be noticed especially when using left shift operations. When using bitwise operations one usually wants to keep these bounded to specific sizes such as 8, 16, 32 or 64 bit widths. To do these we use the AND operator with specific values (bitmasks). For example: # 8-bit bounded shift:x = x << n & 0xff# ditto for 16 bit:x = x << n & 0x# ... and 32-bit:x = x << n & 0x# ... and 64-bit:x = x << n & 0xWe can easily implement our own rotation functions. For left rotations this is down by ORing the left shifted and masked lower bits against the right shifted upper bits. For right rotations we perform the converse operations, ORing a set of right shifted lower bits against the appropriate number of left shifted upper bits. def bitstr(n, width=None):   """return the binary representation of n as a string and      optionally zero-fill (pad) it to a given length   """   result = list()   while n:      result.append(str(n%2))      n = int(n/2)   if (width is not None) and len(result) < width:      result.extend(['0'] * (width - len(result)))   result.reverse()   return ''.join(result) def mask(n):   """Return a bitmask of length n (suitable for masking against an      int to coerce the size to a given length)   """   if n >= 0:       return 2**n - 1   else:       return 0 def rol(n, rotations=1, width=8):    """Return a given number of bitwise left rotations of an integer n,       for a given bit field width.    """    rotations %= width    if rotations < 1:        return n    n &= mask(width) ## Should it be an error to truncate here?    return ((n << rotations) & mask(width)) | (n >> (width - rotations)) def ror(n, rotations=1, width=8):    """Return a given number of bitwise right rotations of an integer n,       for a given bit field width.    """    rotations %= width    if rotations < 1:        return n    n &= mask(width)    return (n >> rotations) | ((n << (width - rotations)) & mask(width))In this example we show a relatively straightforward function for converting integers into strings of bits, and another simple mask() function to create arbitrary lengths of bits against which we perform our masking operations. Also note that the implementation of these functions defaults to single bit rotations of 8-bit bytes. Additional arguments can be used to over-ride these defaults. Any case where the number of rotations modulo the width is zero represents a rotation of all bits back to their starting positions. This implementation should handle any integer number of rotations over bitfields of any valid (positive integer) length. And believe me, you'll use bitwise operations at some point. I hope that this post shows you the importance of mathematics in computer science.References:Bitwise operations - Rosetta Code. (n.d.). Retrieved June 7, 2016, from

I've finally started playing Shadow Rine full voice, and it's a lot better than the original version, in some ways. It took me a long time to get used to how battle works in this version, and all the new sounds. I'm now at the dragon shrine, before the sub-boss. Has the puzzle changed? I see some switches, but no levers. If it's changed, how do you do this one with the switches? I'm guessing you just press some of them and see what happens? Because it's nothing like the puzzle in the original version with the levers.

Re: Super kolkhoz, public alpha released!

@andy93 I actually don't remember any of that. And regardless its not a big deal, as the early dm side scroller was rather crap compared to my layder work. Now, to ch games and other future devs if applicable. Let me try to put this in perspective with something we can all understand. Lets say your favorite music group for instants. In general a music group or band is a small number of people. Now when they release a song to the public, we all have our opinions on it. Some of us say it sucks, while others say that they enjoy the song. Regardless of what the feedback is, this is a little thing known as crittisism. And surprise surprise, this gets past to the game industry, weather we like it or not. Weather you be a small 2 man team or a giant corporation, the minute you release that project your working on to the internet, even if its alpha stages, your subject to the same public scrutiny. Telling others that its in alpha stages or telling them to be nice isn't going to
change their opinion or what they say or think. Even if the opinion isn't past around on this forum, it'll get past around someware else. And you can either choose to insult your players for having an opinion, something of which you yourself are probably guilty of, or you can grow to accept the path you've chosen. Just remember this. As long as your allowed to complain about that song or game you don't like, others are allowed to complain about your work if they don't like it. As some would say, you get what you dish out.

Just mentioning that stupid walkthrough like thing I made tells me I have to finish the one for BK 3, if I could ever figure out stage 21 with no cheats! For the chaos flare in BK 2, you need at least 1000 small figures. Go to 24-1, and get on the boat. You should hear 3 beeps. On the third beep, jump. You will land on a bridge or some place. Keep going right, and grab the weapon. Get back on the boat, and finish 24-1 normally. Note: you can't use the chaos flare on the final boss. I'd say the super buster blade works best on the boss. Just wait until it beeps, informing you that it will do a close range but really high damaging attack, jump over it, and keep attacking it. Just keep doing this until it dies, not hard unless it summons a bunch of those minny robots or clones you.

If you don't like complexity it will be hard to create a 3d shooter. These types of games require a high knowledge of math for creatingeven the most basic things.A side scroller is easier, but even with that, you'll need to write thegame's engine and the game itself.Purebasic, Python and BGT only provide the building blocks for doing that. The rest you need to code with the tools that the language provides.

The  chef's gloves are just pretty awesome for most cooking things. As to  discrimination, I'm not altogether certain whether you mean discrimination from one group of blind people towards another, ie, inside and outside the organization, or discriminatory attitudes stopping people getting jobs and opportunities and what not no matter how much the "sell yourself" and "think positive" type of attitude prevails. I've encountered both unfortunately though how prevailent the nfb is I don't know. I personally don't like the rotory saw and catering things since to me they just don't seem to serve a point other than ticking items off someon

While I'm not the most hardware handy type of person I also suspect I could! make something out of wood if I tried, but again I just don't have the desire to so the "This proves your compitancy" seems a bit odd to me, compared to say being able to perform on stage or rock climb or do the things I have! actually taken the time to learn to do. I suspect I'll get a windows 10 machine later on since xp is currently proving mildly inconvenient in terms of  program and website compatibility at the moment, though i'll keep an xp laptop around (the one I'm using now), for useful stuff. @Turtlepower, glad you like the touch screen on Ios. I'd actually agree with you as far as typing goes, indeed I don't use email or write forum posts on my Iphone for that reason, but there are certain things a touchscreeen

Mainly I've used my  Iphone for games, though i do like blindsquare and some of the default siri functions that come in handy.Crazy party also is awesome, though I'm rather busy currently for gaming, and anyway at the moment I only have phone coverage in the states so need to try and hook my Iphone up to this wireless network as well as my laptop. @nocturnus, so glad you got a house, that is awesome! Mrs. Dark will be pleased to hear that, she's been quite vicariously sympathetic to the fact of your sudden ddeluging, lets hope Colin doesn't object to the house either (btw, isn't colin an amazingly weedy name for a natural ddisaster?). Actually Mrs. Dark and I are going to have to think about houses and such. We've been living in my flat which is okay if a bit small for two people, though the fact that we can share a one bedroom space for six mo
nths and remain as nausiatingly in love as we apparently are is something of a testament to strength of relationship, actually since I'm over here in Americanland I'm rather shocked at the size of people's houses, My lady's sister has a three story house with three living rooms (counting the basement where we are currently),. Now we have lots of  wedding things to sort dispite jetlag and such. In amongst that I'd like to get back to Alter since I've been having great fun with my druid, Mrs. Dark also wants to give it a try though whether it'll be her thing I don't know. I am however most recently rather taken up with crazy party which is surprisingly addictive . So that's what's happening with me currently.

Some ISPs block all traffic on port 25, because it is the standard (unsecured) SMTP port, so spammers and their bots try to connect to vulnerable or misconfigured servers to send spam messages. Try ports 587 or 465. Your only other option is to use a VPN or proxy of some kind to bypass the blocks.

hi guyswhell since other gave their opinion here i will also do it. the game is not a game at all. it's a chat client with sounds . in a game you can do things but here you can't. even a alpha there you could walk around is better then this. as post 53 said, when you develop something you have to take neggative respons but possetive also.so i must agree with akilor and slj here. why do you think sam didn't released redspot before? the answer is, the game idea wasn't completed that's why.i talked with the dev to make a game similar to klash of clans there you could build and manage your city and fight with other players.

email problem in states

Hi. I'm currently at my lady's sister's in Pencilvania. The network here is fine, accept for one weerd thing. I can recieve emails but not send them, when I try I get something about "socket error port 25" Any suggestions? I'm using a pop 3 smtp server with outlook express, and no, I'm not changing mail accounts, indeed that would sort of negate the purpose of me using email at all since the point is keeping in touch with all the people who have! my email account, I presume it's a port problem. I know it's not the firewall settings or similar, and I've used these accounts with various networks, it just seems to be this one. Whether it's because it's in America I don't know, though at least one of the accounts is administered by a friend of mine in the states anyway so theoretically it shouldn't be a problem.Any assistance much appreciated.

Re: Super kolkhoz, public alpha released!

all right all right, I'll explain what happeneda few minutes ago.Recently, I had a discussion with somebody in SPK, someone whose username I am not gonna mention here. So I grabbed the update hoping to see  something new, given the fact that the changelog is still in russian. I logged in, tried to figure out what was new, said Hi to that user or admin or whatever, and then after some talk I commented: oh right, so its still the same, you still have nothing to do here.So what I got as an answer was, But this game is still an alfa version. I gave the same opinion I have regarding the game, and this guy started calling me "someone with lack of comprhehention", argueing that I was not giving any  feetback but instead I was  destructively critizising the devs. Listen, again I am not saying  things like: "oh man you guys suck, your game is a piece of crap and aprone or sam make better stuff than you"; Heck, I'm not wanting to start another flame war because I'm not that kind of people, but I have an opinion the same as SLJ, or as criticview, etc etc.Pretty honestly, I believe that when you start a project of this kind, you have to  be awair that you'll receive possitive feetback  as well as, some times a negative responce. So after defending myself this person called me a crying baby, and some other things; I don't know, but if your   opinions do not count as valid, and everyone like me gets treated like that, calling him/her with names, I don't think  I'll be logging in there any more.once again, my intention is not to destroy, attack, or start something against anybody, because I'm not one of these kind of people  that starts throwing stuff at a sertain developer, just because you didn't liked what he did. Now that I remember, the only time I was sort of pissed off and said something against a dev, in a very destructive way, was back in 2013 when the first version of DM was releaced; Just because it got stuck somewhere, I said something terrible to Danny and I do apologize, if I didn't made it before. Yes I know I¡'ve had countless opportunities to tel this to him when we were fooling around in some games, but now that we're talking about this I'm doing it, and recognizing what I did back in those times when DM was  a very ruff  alfa side scroller, a very playable alfa I should say. This is all I have to say, again sorry if I'm not being clear enough since at times I have problems with my english gramar and stuff like that.

Re: Python or PureBasic

Hi,I'd recommend PureBASIC if you want a lot of functionality that's hard to find anywhere else (accept Python, which owns by comparison). I'd recommend Python if you want text processing services, binary data services, unusual data types, numeric and mathematical modules, functional programming modules, file and directory access, data persistence, data compression and archiving, file formats, cryptographic services, generic operating system services, concurrent execution, interprocess communication (IPC) and networking, internet data handling, structured markup processing, internet protocols and support, multimedia services, internationalization, program frameworks, graphical user interfaces (GUIs), development tools and libraries, debugging and profiling, software packaging and distribution, python runtime services, the ability to create your own custom python interpreters (within python itself), advanced module importers, python language services, miscellan
eous services, Microsoft Windows specific services, Unix specific services, the ability to load antiquated and/or archaic modules, the ability to use undocumented modules, and the ability to embed and extend the interpreter, all built-in into the interpreter. PureBASIC has a lot of things that are unnecessary, but can be useful only at certain times.

Re: Going back to Windows 7, a good or a bad idea?

Hi.Well I agree I don't want to be forced on.The good thing is that with gwx tasks removed from running and recomended updates offand automatic updates set to ask me, I have not as yet got messages to upgrade to win10 though from time to time gwx fixes itself and I have to get rid of it again.People will have different reasons to upgrade or not.I know in the case of my uncle who handles business things they did upgrade on one system which was old, liked it, and then got a couple newer systems with 10 on.For them they really like the os, however their business uses a lot of cloud services from ms, google and dropbox. They have android and windows phones and tablets and sync regularly.Though they don't use ms accounts to log on as such they do use just about everything else. For another friend of mine, she has 2 win10 phones, and a laptop sharing her son's large onedrive office subscription as part of his law business. All of them are linked and she likes here mail and photos anywhere she goes. She loggs with ms account exclusively and really digs the touch interfaces. One of her units is a ultrabook hybread and so thats how she roles. My cousin, orat least one of them, well both of them in one group, have tablets, phones, and computers, laptops and desktop with all flavours of os android ios, windows, they even have x box units from the 1 to the 360 to the standard and all the playstation units to boot.So those are the markets ms is aiming for and for whoom it makes sence to hit the big new world order. These people share their data all over the show so ms spying really doesn't matter to them especially with all the service they get.On my end, my dad's business uses the latest office and he until recently was on the home use program till he retired last week. For him windows 10 really works for him, though he only uses the desktop, he has some clou
d access in icloud, google and dropbox however so its not to much to ask eventually if he will eventually get the ms account and cloud access himself. My brother while an android buff on his old sony and now a new samsung s6 has had the old first generation i3 since 2009-2010 whn he started university its on its first install of the os and while its had its ups and downs with viruses, etc its never been formatted yet.He wants to replace his system before he updates to win10 though in his term of use while he does use a lot of desktop apps he could be a contender as he is a cloud google and web user predominantly. Then there is me.I have used 10 and can say that if I have to in its current 11.86 build I could use half of the os.I could use the apps list in start, the search maybe and the desktop and some functions on the ribbon.I could also use right click, the settings and control panel apps and a few misc things. But while I do use dropbox and
google mail, I have no interest in an ms account even though I have one and I have no interest in cloud service exclusively.Much to everyone's disgust that are win10 diehards on the lists I subscribe to, if I got win10 I'd use ribbon disabler, classic shell and other hacks to mutilate the os to what I like.Every time I jump off 10 and back to my old and while partly broken but still relyable windows 7 install I wander why I bothered with the slowness of win10.For the gamer, windows xp and win7 are the best for gaming on.I get my work done with little fuss and its all good.I do think ms still needs to do some work on its oses. One thing I have wandered is this, why isn't there some sort of desktop manager like in linux where you can choose the desktop and os interface you want or interfaces and can run them with a couple key presses, and have a default interface like linux does. For me, I would choose win7, win xp or at least a classi
c xp type interface, maybe gnome if I wanted to I guess, win10 etc.I'd also like a basic interface where most things were disabled where I could chill out and not worry about things.Right now with 7 for example I am not bombarded with messages about what is going on.I find live tiles and information from my twitter feeds on who fucked who or who went to the toilet this morning. If I am not exclusively online I'd like it to be peacefull and pure.On my dad's system for example when I am on it, I get notifications, reminders, messages, lots and lots of stuff coming in my face.Granted, being a business user thats probably not a bad thing.Someone asked me why I think the way I do, saying that you must move for change.Largely I agree, however the world must move you towards that change.Example, win10 its better, nicer, and well its expected for you to move. For most of us eventually it could be good to do so.So
why not.For me I am not working in a business and I don't get cash. Its free now but what about later. Then I have 1 screen reader and a few bits of other software, and while nvda handles a lot of stuff I still anve another reader I use for a

Oh, I see what you mean now. That was my fault for not understanding clearly what you meant.Anyway, it's totally up to you whether you want to go back to 7 or not. As I said, it's not imperative that everyone should upgrade to 10, no matter what Microsoft says. And, even with the security issues and stuff I mentioned above, I'm not the type of person who would hound a person for staying on an old OS anyway. I tell them what I think, and if they can give me a compelling reason for staying with the OS, (i.e. not just, "I don't want to because I hate change"), then by all means, stay informed of the risks and have fun.

Re: I'm looking for a new iPhone

I would also recommend getting more space than you need. You never know how many apps you're going to want to install. I went with the 64gb model of the SE myself. I hadn't seen any of the 6 series personally, but I was told that they had a larger screen. I wanted to start out with something smaller first, because I did not like the monstrous screen of the IPad at all when I played with my sister's device before buying. I know that a phone is obviously smaller than that, but I still kind of like compact designs for mobile devices. Of course, the price was also a factor. Even for the 64gb SE, which is what I ended up getting, I got a pretty good deal for it. I paid a lot less for that than I would have for any of the 6 series.

Opinions can be rong or a bit odd some times, but that doesn't mean they don't count. I was only thinking that, since the rainforest was released without update, the fact this map wasn't ment to my mind it was part of the upcomming update, and I do have the opinion that updates are either given as a finished product, or not at all. Did you ever see Microsoft releasing a servicepack for windows, without for instance an updated, redone, expanded control pannel? Or a new OSX with an old vo?
