Re: monthly chat june 2020

@Wing of eternity, I know the musical of les miserables very well and can sing a lot of it, me being a tenor. I've not read the book, though I have read hunchback of Notre-dame a while ago. Again worth reading, but way too long winded unfortunately, also very much full of things Hugo himself was extremely concerned about at the time, such as Parisian architecture. I also admit in Hunchback, it was pretty difficult to like anybody, even Quasimodo himself was a bit of a git. @Dark eagle, it sounds like India is in a bit of a  mess there. I'm hoping that once the second wave hits, perhaps the government will pull themselves together. For the mean time though, my lady and I are just going to go on with the lockdown anyway, at least until the actual facts and figures show things are calming down a bit, since the last thing we want to happen is my lady to have beaten the cancer only for her to get corona virus. On the plus side it will probably result in me looking like Tarzan of the apes by the time we're finished given I'm doing zombies run every day I can, running and lifting weights, and also not attending the barber for obvious reasons . For my lady this isn't such a bad thing since her hair needs to grow out post chemo (yes, she did have to wear a wig at one point), but in my case, I already have the real orlando bloom style shoulder length wavy hair, although mine is extremely dark brown verging on black not blonde. Soon enough, I'll have to get some hair bands and tie it back in a pony tale again. I did this for a few years on one occasion, however was persuaded to stop by a director who told me that it was okay in stage productions like pirates of penzance, but not in other things. Since however stage productions are right out now (and have been for a long time due to the UK's crappy attitude to the idea of blind people on stage), it really doesn't matter. And hay, I sort of like the idea of having big hair again .@mirage, hope your feeling better, and i'm sorry you had to go in too hospital. When my lady had to go for the scan, apart from being nerve wracking in terms of what the scan was for, the logistics were also extremely difficult, since getting a taxi at this point would be a really bad idea, and even hospital transport seemed dodgy. it finished up with my dad coming over in a car with a literal barrier of sheet plastic between the front and back, and my lady changing clothes on the way, as well as of course washing her hands. The worry wasn't the hospital itself, since obviously that's getting regularly mega cleaned, but walking from the car to the hospital entrance, especially since my lady would need to hold someone's arm. So, hope everything went okay. For us, we're still busy continuing doing what we're doing, for me that means reviews, a bit of gaming on slay the spire, and more game of thrones, although season 3 doesn't quite have the momentum of seasons 1 or 2, though it's still extremely good.

Hi.I've beaten the game with both the ironclad and the silent but not the defect. I was told that to unlock the watcher you have to complete the game while having the defect unlocked. Well, I've beaten the act three boss with both the ironclad and the silent but the watcher hasn't unlocked yet. I read somewhere that the watcher only unlocks if you have no mods installed. Does that mean the watcher can't be unlocked for us? Has anybody else unlocked the watcher? Thanks.

@Firefly, glad it worked, and I like the idea of a list of working mods with links for steam. I found the jungle listed on This page, which is a list of most highly rated mods. Though obviously there are several there which won't make any difference, like those involving changing colour options, there were several extra characters mentioned which might be worth checking out, assuming they don't make any mechanic changes. For me, I'm still trying to get through with the ironclad, as I said, act 2 floor 7 is my best so far.

how to get NVDA to read open/save dialogs in qWS on Windows 10

2020-06-27 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : musicalman via Audiogames-reflector

how to get NVDA to read open/save dialogs in qWS on Windows 10

Hi all,I posted about this once before in a related thread, but I've since acquired more knowledge and I thought it would be nice to share it here, both as future reference for myself and for others who are facing this problem. The problem is that when trying to open or save a file with QWS, NVDA cannot read the files/folders you're focused on. I don't know precisely why this happens, but there is a workaround. Basically, what you have to do is hide the common places bar to essentially revert back to the Windows XP open/save dialog. There are two ways to disable the common places bar. You can either use the group policy editor, or edit the registry. I will cover both here, but just be very careful. Don't mindlessly mess with the registry or group policy editor, just follow the below steps. You can trust me; I just did this today on a brand new machine and I have no interest in turning it into a brick. With that out of the way, here are the instructions.Method 1: group policy editorIf you are on Windows 10 pro, you can use Group Policy editor. Follow these steps:1. Press windows+R to get to the run dialog and type gpedit.msc. If user account control comes up, press the yes button (alt y should work).2. In the group policy editor, find the tree view and navigate to local group policy > user configuration > administrative templates > Windows components > file explorer > common open file dialog. Then tab to the list box and find hide the common places bar.3. Press enter and you will be in a new dialog. Tab to the radio buttons and change disabled to enabled.4. Press OK and close the group policy editor.5. Reboot. Now open/save dialogs in QWS should read well.Method 2: registry. If you're on windows 10 home which doesn't have the group policy editor, or you otherwise don't have access to it, you'll have to use the registry. Follow these steps:1. Press windows+R to get to the run dialog and type regedit. If user account control comes up, press the yes button (alt y should work).2. In the registry editor, navigate to this path:Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PoliciesNote: Later versions of Windows contain an edit field in the registry editor, where you can type/paste a path. If you have this edit field, simply paste the above path into it and hit enter, and you'll instantly jump there. If you don't have the edit field, you'll have to navigate manually.3. Press alt e to go to the edit menu, n for new, then k for key. You will be asked for the new key's name. Type Comdlg324. In the tree view, you should see Comdlg32 inside the policies folder. Make sure you're focused on Comdlg32, then tab to the list box. Hit alt e, n, d to create a new DWORD 32-bit value. You will be asked for the new DWORD's name. Type NoPlacesBar5. Now find NoPlacesBar in the list box, hit enter on it and type 1.6. Reboot. Now open/save dialogs in QWS should read well. And that's it! Hopefully this is useful to someone.BTW I found the registry procedure here and can confirm it works. The group policy procedure was found by experimentation.

Re: Fifth Aeon CCG

You may be able to use JAWS plus control plus tab to label those unlabeled buttons, and JAWS plus space followed by O followed by C to OCR them if tabbing doesn't read it.I also find that placemarkers can be useful in these games to skip quickly to relevant text which has changed if the N key doesn't work.  You can set one with control plus shift plus K, and navigate between them with either K and shift plus K, or numbers 7 through 0 on the number row.

Fifth Aeon CCG

2020-06-27 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — New releases room : david_solomon1 via Audiogames-reflector

Fifth Aeon CCG

Haven't seen a post about this here, but I wonder if someone hasn't talked to the dev already since there seems to be some strides toward accessibility.http://fifthaeon.comPlayable CCG with a few unlabelled buttons.Battlefield looks like this:Enemy's health, button to view enemy's crypt, enemies played cards.Your health, your crypt, your cards.resource collection buttons.end turn.your energy.your handThere's a tutorial in the game, but I'll explain how to play a round just in case the labeling throws people. When battle starts, you can select any cards in your hand to replace with a new draw. When a card is selected, below it's information you'll see something like virtual marker. Hit the done button when you're done. When it's your turn, you can play as many cards as you have energy to play. Energy works like this. You have a total energy cost, which is the top number of any card. So if you see something like this:4minotaurgrowth/smallgrowth/smallgrowth/small54This means the card takes 4 energy and 3 of the growth resource to play.Below that are it's health and attack values respectively. You gain total energy by collecting resources, generally one per turn. You can do this by clicking the growth, renewal, synthesis or decay buttons above the end turn button. One thing that's a little confusing is often when you click one of these, the game will say "You can't play a resource right now." But if your turn just started and you click one of these buttons, you will gain the resource and energy. You can always check by looking at the numbers below the buttons. When playing a targeted card, the game will tell you that eligible cards have a blue glow. For us, there's an icon that appears that says something like crosshair. If you see this below a card's info after clicking a card that needs a target, you can click on this card to target it.Battle is simplistic. Before you end your turn, you can select any cards that have not been played this turn, you'll hear a metallic clink sound. Any unit assigned to combat has a crossed-sabers icon below it's card info. Once you hit end turn, you'll see an attack button appear. This means if the enemy has any cards in play that can be attacked, you can now assign specific attackers to these cards by clicking on your attacker, then clicking on the target you want to attack. After that, your creature's attack is simply subtracted from the enemy creature's HP. There may be some effects in game that will modify combat slightly. When you go to open packs, you'll see 3 unlabelled buttons. The first lets you open a pack if you have one. The second lets you buy a pack for 100 gold. The third takes you back to the main menu.If you don't know what a button does, often tabbing over it or pressing B to move through the buttons will read a label on the button, if one exists.Note that I haven't tried this game with NVDA.

Hello there.@dungeon diver, no, currently there is no way to add quests or npc. This is not currently designed for that. I do have plans to add npc in the future, however I haven't figured out how they will behave and so on.Version 1.1 has just been released, addressing the walkspeed problem. the download page has the new version. Also, for pre 1.0 users of environment suite I have started including an envport.exe application, which ports some, not all, lines of the older space delimited syntax. The way this works is you give it an environment text file, it runs through it, updates as much as it can, and then makes a backup copy of the original in the event something goes wrong.

Re: IOS 14 has Inflated My Expectations

If it was as simple as browsing the web, done...I wish, really wish that was the case, but you have to browse the web heavily on your phone before you can tell me that it works well on Android. A huge page will make Talkback lag, while VO deals with them perfectly fine. I can of course give examples, but from the latest Chrome 83 changelog I heard that it's supposed to improve Talkback's performance on larger pages, so if this is finally the case it's a huge improvement. Just as I'm looking forward to iOS 14, I'm equally looking forward to Android 11 and seeing what progress will be made.

I did not steal any classes int his project. This was all handwritten by me directly. The only reason it looks similar to the SB bullet class, is because I learned from SB's techniques and adapted them in my projects. I am making my own version of this game behind the scenes. But I thought some people would find this helpful. Since this seems not to be the case, I will gladly get rid of it if this seems to be to disorganized / needs work.My version which contains missiles, allies, and bombs should be out soon.

I really don't get the big fuss that some of you are making. For the average person, an Android device will work fine. I've heard folks on this forum spread all sorts of false info, but let me tell you, Browsing the web, Done.Reading. done.Being able to adjust whether or not you want the tts to read each individual line, paragraph, letter or word by swiping up or down. Done.Being able to answer calls by hitting the volume up nob, done. And so many more. Yes we know Apple does a great job of accessibility, but Android has accessibility, and other things going for it. Both systems have their flaws, as I said previously, and both systems have their pluses. Also, 77 proves Haily's point quite nicely.@Nocturnous, you started off with perhaps one of the worse phones, If i'm thinking of the right brand. Lol, when I first got my J6 about a year ago, I was pretty scared, because the last time I used a mobile screenreader, which was probably in 2014 there about, it was so fricking bad I decided just to depend on my sight, and only use it for menus, like the settings or whatever. That was Talkback running on a Blu. My first 2 phones were Blus.

Re: Shooter XT - Open sourced 2D Sidescroller Shooter for BGT beginners

OK, let's say I was running a living skills workshop for blind people. I wanted to teach them how to do do laundry. I'd need some clothes, a hamper to store the dirty stuff, a washer and dryer, a dresser, and possibly a closet with a hanging bar and hangers.I could start with the finished product and let them check out the dresser, but would I take the time to fold everything neatly and put things that belong together in the same place? Probably. It wouldn't make sense to ball everything up and shove it in random places. I'd probably find some scheme that would work with the dresser I had. Maybe underwear and socks in one drawer, T-shirts in another, long-sleeved shirts in another, and jeans/trousers in another. I'd hang hoodies and sweat shirts, as well as dress shirts and slacks.Where this analogy breaks is that you have the possibility to build your own system, or your own dresser, as it were. But that hasn't happened, instead, it's like no one took the time to set up the workshop and now it's starting and these people are wondering where everything is.In your own code, you can do whatever you want. I actually think most code written by blind people that I've ever seen is messy to one degree or other. But when you're doing an open source project, and trying to make it a teaching tool to boot... Yeah, it kind of doesn't work.

Re: don't forget to drink more water than soda/sugary drinks.

@Nocturnous to further add to how water can taste differently depending, let's use my school for example. There's a long sink, with about 4 taps. Once I had to drink water from there, and for every sip i took I had to spit it back out. Now, ironically, just across from thaat same tap, a couple metres away, there was a new sink put in. It was plastic, as aposed to the suramic they used on the old taps. Eitherways, A friend of mine whose really picky and I had to drink from there, and Christ in heaven that was literally one of the best waters I've ever tasted. I'll even say it rivals water from the springs up in Maracus, which is the middle of nowhere. So yeah, it depends on a lot of factors. @Nocturnous, I like water cold as well, it has a much blander taste if its normal temp. And don't talk for when you leave it in a car for like an hour and come back. Its like drinking air. My mum also drinks roomtemp water.`

Re: i hate how some devs want attention

@Simter, good on ya for taking the first step.  You acknowledged what I wrote.  Now, I'll do my part. No, just because a majority holds an opinion doesn't make it right.  Obviously if a majority tells you to jump off a bridge you know you more than likely shouldn't do it. What makes an opinion worth considering is the reasonability behind it.  There's nothing wrong with having a strong opinion provided you can present it with logical consistancy.  the problem shows up when you present your opinion with something akin to irrationallity or lack of reason and voice it just because you want to be heard rather than wanting to solve the actual problem and provide an end to the argument. Here's what I want you to consider now.  Can you honestly say that your posts portray you as someone who is willing to meet everyone else in the middle?  Can you say that your posts are making you appear like someone who has willingly made a rational assessment of the argument?  Is there anyone out here who has posted, who you believe might be more intelligent than yourself, who you can honestly say wouldn't just trash you for being yourself and give you a chance, but who is at present saying that you just might be wrong?  If that person does exist, are you willing to listen to them?  Are you willing to take advice?  Perhaps you don't just want to go with the crowd; that's fair.  I can get behind that.  Can you humble yourself, however, to someone else rather than just listening to yourself for the sake of accountability?

I know what you mean by waters tasting differently and I've had some very good water. You do bring up an important point about pollution and I'd wish we'd get it knocked into our thick skulls that maybe we should take a little more care of the environment than we do currently? the best thing my mother did for me when I was but a wee lad?  Give me water!  Water water water!  I hated the stuff!  Hated it!  then, two things happened:1.  when I was 5 she started buying purified water thinking I'd drink that over tap water which, nowadays is the most disgusting thing you can drink and which I encourage you stay away from.  In fact, I'd say that you're better off drinking soda than you are tap water.  Anyway, it worked!  I liked it and hated tap water from that moment on.2.  When I was 6 I went to Austin, the capital of Texas.  All of their water back then came from the Edwards Aquifer.  Today, lake Travis and the Colorado river contain high amounts of algae, making most of the city's water something I wouldn't consider drinking.  Back then though, the water was so good that I set my standards more or less by it.My point is that All water tastes different.  Many people will disagree, but as someone who has spent a lot of time, some 30 years in fact, drinking water, I can honestly say it is true.  Some companies that sell bottled water will flat out sell you drinking water they've spent a ton of time industrially purifying, while other water, if you can find it, still comes from natural springs and the like.  Mineral tastes different when compared to Distilled, and both taste different when compared to different sources of tap water around the world.  Bottom line?  Drink safe water.  Distilled water may seem like the best because it is the purest, but if your diet doesn't contain enough vitamins and minerals you won't truly get any benefit from drinking it.  On the other hand, mineral water is not necessary if you have a wel;-balanced diet.  Spring water is only good if you can know when you purchase it that the spring it came from has no pollutants or the company you purchased it from treated it well.  the trick is to find water that is both clean and actually tastes good in the process.  My wife can't drink it at room temperature; she says it tastes disgusting but will not refuse it cold.  I'm perfectly fine with it either way; I actually find I drink more when it's room temp than when it's cold and I prefer it that way because vocals.  I am, however, convinced that without water as a regular part of my day I'd be a lot worse off than I am now.

Re: i hate how some devs want attention

I agree. Give it swome time while you visibly change and stop this thing your doing, and then people might not be as much against you. Trust is earned, your not entitled to it. And yes, either of those logs could very possibly be served. This isn't a real time text service, so we can't tell if either were edited, and that would just as easily be fooled by a copy and paste job. Either way, i see no large or maybe even true evidence against Tumni, so i'm sticking on my side of the case. If major changes happen, then maybe i'll choose a different side, or even go nutral because if what simter said is true, and if what i know about you simter you ahven' changed, both sides would not be a good one to choose because it'd just be toxic all around.

Either one of the logs could be forged, it's not like one is more susceptible to being forged than the other. I'm not saying I believe that's happening, just pointing out the fact that it could be done in either case.Simter, people aren't against you because you're you; they're against you because of what you have done and continue to do. If you just chilled out a bit and quit slinging mud around, and were willing to give it time, people might start coming around regarding you. But you know, trolling is fun and people suck right? Hey, it's your choice, I'm just laying out possible scenarios.

This happened on my new laptop. Unfortunately installing drivers is a minor pain in the ass and when you install intel smart sound, your internal card is temporarily disabled. This is why I've been meaning to get a cheap USB card that outputs a headphone signal for cases like this. Luckily my samson metier mic came to the rescue. That is a damn good $80 mic, still, to this day.Not stupid, BTW. I learned all I know about computers by being inquisitive and looking up information when I was stuck. Best way to do it.

Re: For Fans of MSN Messenger, it's back! Well... Kinda

@4 made a really interesting point. All these new messenger services are so connected and try to push you to share share share, vs how old skype used to be, where you had an attach files button to share if you felt like it. Not to mention skype was p2p, I think at least, but it wasn't as connected to the matrix of trends and what was brewing up shitstorms at that particular time. The old skype interface, updated when it needed to be did its job well. everything nowadays is just trying to be its own social media platform, with trying to suggest random people to you, push ads, and in general be an overbloated mess. Maybe its just because I'm not sighted, but I just don't care about all the extra shit. That's what Twitter is for. I can go onto Twitter when I want too but Twitter isn't meant for messaging exclusively but its there to message people you find on Twitter.I really do miss old school Skype and Discord, while close in some way, its not the same interface-wise first of all, and second of all, everything is stored on their servers. Messages, everything. Idk man, shit is not what it used to be. I do like Discord though and do enjoy the strides it made towards accessibility, but I wish it had a more traditional, win32 applike interface like Skype used to have.I will never use Zoom. Fuck Zoom. Its amazing how naive people in general are, but also schools, to give up security for convenience. It pisses me off personally because when shit does hit the fans later down the line these motherfuckers are going to be screaming at the top of their lungs. It goes hand in hand with giving up rights because you think big brother has your best interest at heart, when really, they care about making as much money as possible while tricking you into fucking yourself.I wonder if some day down the line there will be a resurgence of minimal and simplistic messaging and VOIP clients. I wouldn't be surprised if some people get tired of the constant noise and a new platform is created and other people join. Even better if its open source, or at least the client is, I don't know. But its supported through donations from people who value it.Or maybe not.

@14I can't tell you how much it annoys me to see people going "Python isn't for newbies because it's slow".  I have lots of problems with Python, just like with many other tools I use, but telling new programmers that Python is problematic because it's slow leaves everyone with entirely the wrong idea, and I wish people would stop, especially if we're going to try to make the point with mostly hypothetical np-hard problems with no applicability to the topic at hand. There's only two reasons that slowness of a programming language matters to a newbie.  The first is if they don't know how to implement algorithms efficiently, in which case it won't matter because even the fast languages won't help.  The second is when they've gotten far enough that just using Cython is easy, or even switching languages.  This is a self-solving problem in other words--by the time it's actually the fault of the programming language and not of poor programming practices, you know what to do about it.  But that said, using Cython is as easy as using the C# compiler from the command line, or whatever, so it's not like it's actually hard to do as you're making it out to be.  I learned it in an hour for Synthizer, literally, by the time someone needs it, *if* someone needs it, they can probably learn it in an afternoon.By all means don't use Python.  I don't care, honestly, whether people use Python or not.  I can make arguments against Python, and if I ever actually get as far as my MMO for the blind I probably won't be using it myself.  But I do care when I see incredibly bad arguments against it.  Let's actually make good arguments against things, please, or make the speed argument when audiogames as a whole are actually good enough that thinking about speed is a concern. Also, don't be so quick to say that things like C# don't require special packaging.  They don't at first.  They do as soon as you need to use dlls.  Yeah it's a bit easier than Python.  But it doesn't stay free. And finally, tons and tons of new programmers handle JS fine.  It's even got classes built in now, it's not like it's still 2012.  They say they're trying to work with a sighted programmer.  Therefore not dismissing the platform that's probably the easiest platform to get cool graphics going on short of inaccessible things like Unity is perhaps advised.

Hello all,For those who tried using the uploader, I am happy to report it works properly now if you upload files larger than 60 mB.@rory, I downloaded your env and gave it a try. It's really neat though I can't seem to get past the safe zone office. Is this by design or is there something I'm missing. If you don't want to spoil it feel free to email me.I do remember there being a version of this for the older syntax and rather liked it.

Yeah, sadly, with 3 and 5 here.  Everyone who grew up on IM will probably appreciate some semblance of it, but most of the world population has moved on to texting, messenger and even more interesting to the sighted community and the one that puts us behind on many levels, is snapchat, which brings a whole new level to microblogging and instant multimedia sharing.  Move 229 million users away from it and on to what you're suggesting, and then lets talk.

It is so awesome to see the package gets updated with mods and addons wich work for us. Cool, this way not all things have to be tryed out by everyone. This realy develops nicely. Does the game have even sounds for the enemies? In the let's plays I listened, I don't heared sounds from the enemies itself, like pain sounds etc but I don't know how old the lets plays are.

Re: For Fans of MSN Messenger, it's back! Well... Kinda

I loved the old Messenger back in the day, except when they changed things so much that it stopped working with JAWS and the only way to get it to work was to pay to upgrade JAWS. Then Microsoft decided to replace Messenger with Skype, and I wasn't too happy about that. Compared to Messenger, Skype was bloated and slow.Would I use this version? Probably not unless everyone I talked to switched to it. There are already far too many communication apps as  it is. I don't need yet another one open. Right now I use Skype, with Miranda NG for Facebook Messenger.

Re: how does this work, and what do you recomend?

Hi folks, hmm, okay, I don't want to dictate you your posts guys, but might I just suggest, what about calming down and concentrating on the question?@1: As for the first question, on your place, I would make a change in type of message, that is send during a reload.I.E. if the server is currently just sending a command to play a sound on specific location, I would instead design it in a way, that steps of players have player id attached, and these player action events would be then paired to them. Thus after receiving a player reload event, the client can attach the sound to player and move it as necessary. When you count it, you have added bytes of player id in steps event, but at the same time you can release floor type and coordinates in the reload event, so it's even more efficient than just sending around PlaySound commands. Also don't worry about networking in other languages. Yes, networking is complicated, no doubts about that, but there are many very good wrappers out there, which will help you on the way.For example, SFML has a very nice udp wrapper, there are also eNet wrappers for warious languages (eNet is the networking library used by BGT) and programming languages themselves are often packed up with their own weapons to deal with this.I have just recently worked with Python's TCP sockets and it's a piece of cake, no kidding. It didn't help me in the end though, as I found out, that you can't start TcP connections from _javascript_, so I needed to look around for a websockets library, but it was definitely nice.I have found a ws solution as well, which works just as expected. There are really many options to choose from.As for programming language, what about C#?It's modern, supported by Microsoft, it's very similar to BGT in syntax, it's object oriented, it has automatic memory management (no need for pointers and cleaning objects), it compiles to .exe (no need of special packing), it's crossplatform (in Asp.net core and Mono version), it has popular gaming libraries and it's there for quite a while, since 1995 if I remember right, so there is a really huge community and material behind it._javascript_ would be an option as well, although I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. There are some syntactic weirdnesses, such as the way of declaring properties and there is no encapsulation at all in the language, so knowing what you're doing is often a necessity to make an usable code.Plus you need to keep in mind, that you're running in browser and not on system with luxuries such as harddrive and filesystem, syntax in these cases can get even weirder, than in normal code. So, it's subjective of course, but I would recommend some rather desktop based compiled language, such as C#.Also, when I see benchmarks, with n-body problem taking python about 830 seconds, which can be solved by compiled programs in about 20 secs,http://benchmarksgame.wildervanck.eu/http://benchmarksgame.wildervanck.eu/python.htmlI wouldn't recommend Python to beginners as well. I'm not one of those guys, who find a benchmark, and then argue with it, even if reality is completely different, I have run into this problem myself, under quite umpleasant circumstances.I'm not saying, that Python can't do better, it simply wasn't designed to run computations like this. The performance can be significantly improved by cythoning the code, or by supplying Rust or C++ libraries to do the heavy part, like Tensorflow does. This is the modern way, in which Python is used, as an elegant wrapper for powerful tools. But doing so requires some background in the language and general programming skills, so again, not suitable for beginners.that's my opinion at least.Best regardsRastislav

My main problem with this is the fact that you say "Oh look, people should use this in their games. They should learn from this code!" Honestly? I'd say you have a thing or two to learn from all of this, starting with that negation operator.Again, I appreciate the effort, but it has been largely wasted. Do some more projects, perhaps focusing on trying to improve on the points I made in fourteen, and then try again. Also? What organization are you talking about. There is none. Data gets changed all over the place, functions are separated into different files without a good reason... how is this organized?

Re: Shooter XT - Open sourced 2D Sidescroller Shooter for BGT beginners

the bullet class, even if from sb, cannot be stolen as that game was made open source a long, long ime ago. Its a part of masons set of open sourced projects found at his webpage.his webpage for anyone looking for it is www.masonasons.me.  you'll know its the right thing because you'll hit tab or k (or your navigate link key) will say: Archive containing some old projects  linknow, what does clicking on this do. Well, it goes to the internet and finds the files on the website. This then goes ahead, and downloads the file straight to your computer, and saves it in the default place your web browser stores downloaded files. Most is your user downloads folder, but internet explorer is some random as crapplace if you click open and not save, but if you click save its usually still in either your downloads or documents folder.see, thats what this source is like for me. It takes something so simple as downloading a file, into a paragraph. I'm not trying to be rude as some starting programmers might need this, as some things clossing over them by lign aren't clearly heard with screen readers, and some synths don't read things the exact same way. But simple things, like, every single other freekin lign has a comment, wich is a bit extreme. If there were certain things that were complicated, like maybe that dictionary section, i can get if some of those were commented, but every single lign and almost anything that isn't a brace? Thats a bit much at atht point.
