No its ok with only one cucm server 2- When you use the auto registration method to register your phone, what exactly define which device pool the new registered phone will belong to The default device pool. Yes for both questions And Finally, I really shocked how much time the full lab needs, I did not finish 50 % of the lab in the 8 hours, I really need your advise regarding the time challenge !! I configured CUE to work with UCM. I have configured a phone button of a phone with DN, say 6001, using CUE as its VM to transfer an active call to the voicemail. When there is a voicemail due to this action, I see/hear that the voicemail is from, let's say, 911. So, 911 calls 6001, 6001 pick up the call, and transfers using the button Trasfer - Xfer button - Transfer. 911 leaves a message. When the message is played, it says message from 911. Now, when in SRST mode, the same caller, 911, makes the same call and transferred using the same sequence, leaves a message. In this case, the message is said to be from the 6001 DN itself. I have done some basic tests and read the docs. It is supported and appears to work. The benefits: I don't have to wait for phones to failover to finish SRST related configs. I can configure BACD, call coverage for VM, mwi sip, name, description, etc. Thoughts? -- William Bell blog: http://ucguerrilla.com twitter: @ucguerrilla On Feb 20, 2013, at 10:23 PM, Leslie Meade wrote: Hey Steve, I just ran this via my lab and the light turns on.. MWI works great when registered to CUCM and using CUE for VM. When the site fails over in to srst mode and your phone has an existing MWI on it, this is what you would want to do in order to preserve that MWI lamp. 1) When integrating your CUE to CUCM choose MWI type subscribe/notify. 2) When building your router config for SRST, make sure to build an ephone-dn-template that specifies MWI SIP that will get applied to the phones when they register (under your telephony service). 3) when configuring sip-ua / mwi-server i did not use unsolicited key word this has allowed the current MWI lamp to stay lit when failover to unified CME as SRST. When integrating using unsolicited notificiatoins I was not maintaining the MWI lamp on during failover. i am using 7975 model phones and i bounced the failover a few times and it seemed to work pretty consistently. please try at home and let us know if you have the same results with this if you are interested. It is a juggling act between reading comprehension, choosing your approach based on requirements, accurate application of configs, and speed of application. You have 8 hours to complete the lab and you will have a 20 min lunch thrown in the middle somewhere. The time you start, have lunch, and finish will depend on the testing facility. Personally, my goal is to get through the configs with 2 hours remaining for: - Tackling any questions I didn't know off the top of my head - Doing an end-to-end validation of the lab to catch any oversights / screw ups In reality, the goal of having 2 hours left over for testing/validation is a real challenge. All I can say is that everyone I have heard from who passed the test were able to knock out the core configurations in 5 - 6 hours and had 1.5 - 2 hours dedicated to checking their work. That isn't to say there aren't people who pass without this validation process. Just that I don't know of any. -- William Bell blog: http://ucguerrilla.com twitter: @ucguerrilla On Jan 14, 2013, at 12:52 PM, Chrysostomos Christofi wrote: Guys they say that you have to be very fast in the lab what actual that means? do you have time for check every task? you can check every task when you finish it ,or if you check every task then you will not have a time to finish the remaining lab can you pls send your feedback? ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.comhttp://www.ipexpert.com Are you a CCNP or CCIE and looking for a job?
