RE: CFMX7 and SMS

2005-07-25 Thread Ian Vaughan
How would you test the example SMS applications that come with CFMX 7 ?

I have started the SMS Simulator, but how would you test say the ' Book
Club' using this simulator ?

What address do you use so the phone knows where to connect to the Book
Club or any other of the example applications ?

Just a reminder that we have like 4 whole new chapters in the CFMX7
Developers Guide dedicated to Gateways and SMS. Answers and detailed
examples and discussion can be found there. Very good stuff (reviewed
these chapters personally for the doc team)

CFMX, Video resizing/repurposing

2005-07-25 Thread Rich Wild
Hi all,

I've got a task to develop an online video resizing app and so I'm looking
at some server side tools that will help me let a user upload a movie (of
any format/size) and it'll resize it down and reformat it ready for viewing
by a larger audience.

I could hardly find anything suitable. The only thing I could find was the
LEAD multimedia toolkit that exposes its functionality via COM.

However, not being a COM expert, I didn't get very far in harnessing it. A
dump of the object in cfmx reveals propertiesand methods that seemingly
can't be accessed, and the documentation isn't very non-gui-application
helpful to me.

Does anyone have any experience in dealing with LEAD tools and CF

or even better -

does anyone have any ideas for tools I can use server side and that can be
triggered by CF in order for me to repurpose video files uploaded by users.
Price isn't too much of an issue.

Many thanks,

Rich Wild

How To...

2005-07-25 Thread Protoculture
I need to build a .cfm page ( assume with cffile ). In other words I will be
creating a cfml page using cffile, that will be using coldfusion functions, sql
statements etc passed into it as part of the new file ...

How can I safely pass cf functions/sql into the cffile output attribute? See
below in the #My_Embedded_CF_SQL_Code_Here# variable. It is in this variable I
wish to place actual CFML and SQL content.

example...

cffile action=write output=#My_Embedded_CF_SQL_Code_Here#
file=e:\mpath\#pagename#.cfm
cffile action=append output=#My_Embedded_CF_SQL_Code_Here#
file=e:\mypath\#pagename#.cfm

perhaps there's a better way to do this, but I will need to 'build' the page
dynamically.

SQL - Counting rows of UNION query

and pieced together an answer from other

I don't really want to join the website just to reply.
I'm fairly new to SQL and I search a LOT of sites for

Answer:

1) You have to name the table that is the result of
the FROM,
2) You have to use UNION ALL. If two (or more)
queries return the same value, UNION will drop one and
give incorrect results. UNION ALL will force all
records and give a correct count.

example:

SELECT count(*) FROM
(
  SELECT * FROM tblA
  UNION ALL
  SELECT * FROM tblB
) AS AggregateTable

Re: CFMX, Video resizing/repurposing

2005-07-25 Thread Deanna Schneider
If price really isn't an issue - you could look at flipfactory:
http://www.telestream.net/products/flipfactory.htm

Basically, you could use CF to allow someone to upload to a watched
directory. FF would watch the directory, and flip any media
uploaded. It's probably overkill for what you need, though. We
attempted to implement this solution in concert with Virage, and it
was a tangled mess. (Though, we really were trying to use it in a way
that is not specified by the manufacturers.)

Restricting Access

2005-07-25 Thread Ian Vaughan
I have the following code that supposed to check by their IP address if
a user has submitted a feedback form, if they have and try to visit the
page again they get STOP! If they have not submitted a form before they
see the form.

However how can I set the first line cfif isDefined etc.. To set the
client.localip variable when the user has submitted the form

 cfif isDefined(form.submit???)

   cfset client.localip = #cgi.remote_addr#

/cfif

cfif isDefined(client.localip) and client.localip EQ
#cgi.remote_addr#
  STOP!

I only up to the point of installing the framework. I'll

I set up one of those too, but never got around to actually using

RE: How To...

2005-07-25 Thread Dave.Phillips
What problem are you having? I don't see any issue with your syntax. Are you
losing single quotes? If so, use PreserveSingleQuotes() like this:

cffile action=write
output=#PreserveSingleQuotes(My_Embedded_CF_SQL_Code_Here)#
file=e:\mpath\#pagename#.cfm

If you're losing other characters. A bit more detail about the problem you're
having and I'm sure someone on this list can figure it out!

It is in this variable I
wish to place actual CFML and SQL content.

example...

cffile action=write output=#My_Embedded_CF_SQL_Code_Here#
file=e:\mpath\#pagename#.cfm
cffile action=append output=#My_Embedded_CF_SQL_Code_Here#
file=e:\mypath\#pagename#.cfm

perhaps there's a better way to do this, but I will need to 'build' the page
dynamically.

I'd look for 'form.fieldnames' like isDefined(form.fieldnames). That's how I
check for form submissions. I hope this is what you're looking for as I wasn't
sure what you're asking. If you are trying to maintain this only during the
current session, you shouldn't need to worry about it because IP address won't
change during the session. It sounds like you're trying to persist across
session's however, so why not just set a cookie on the person's machine that
says they've submitted the feedback form already (maybe that's what you're
trying to do with the client.localip).

In any case, what if a different user uses that computer. You don't want them
to be able to submit a feedback question also? If your concern is that you
don't want the same person to submit a feedback form, then I would tie it to
their user account, not their IP address.

I hope that helps. I'm a bit confused myself. :-)

If so, use PreserveSingleQuotes() like this:

PreserveSingleQuotes() will do nothing when not used inside CFQURRY tags.
PreserveSingleQuotes() is not really a function, all it does is set a
flag so that CF
will not escape quotes when the content of a variable is used as an SQL

There is no quote escaping during the execution of a CFFILE tag.

RE: Restricting Access

2005-07-25 Thread Dave.Phillips
Actually, I'm referring to the form-scoped variable called form.fieldnames.
It is a comma delimited list of all the form fields that were submitted. This
is more generic than looking for a specific fieldname. But yes, you could do
that too, although if you ever change your fieldname you would have to change
the code again here. Basically, the bottom line is that if the form is
submitted, that variable will exist (of course as long as you have at least one
form field being passed).

If you are keeping your users from submitting the form more than once, then I
think you would be better off storing that setting in a database so they
couldn't submit the form from soneone else's machine as well. In other words,
save in a table the user's login id and a value like 'Questionnaire_Submitted'
(BIT - yes/no field). Then, no matter where they login from they can't submit
the questionnaire again, and then if you issue a new questionnaire, you can
just blow out that table so all users can submit the new one. You could make
it even more complicated with another table that tracks submission of EACH
questionnaire, but you may not need to take it that far. Anyway, if I'm trying
to do what you're doing, I put it in a database, not a client variable, so that
it persists across not only login sessions on one machine, but all machines
that can access the application.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Matthew, but I need a cross-codec solution rather than just windows

There's a web-application version of the Windows Media Encoder but I haven't
played with it in a while, and I don't think it's supported by Microsoft

form posting to cf page which sets the client var.

ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

2005-07-25 Thread Jacob
Every now and then, I will get a bunch of these errors. I have looked in
the application.log, exception.log and runtime logs, but this is not
recorded in any of the logs. What could be the cause of this? Googling
this error said it has to do with a negative index. What exactly does that
mean? (I have not dealt with many arrays, but I am helping to try to find

RE: Restricting Access

2005-07-25 Thread Dave.Phillips
Ian,

I was about to ask the same question. I thought you were posting to a cold
fusion page, hence I was giving you cold fusion code to use to check for the
form submission.

To accomplish what you want to do, I only see three options:

1. Modify the perl script to set a cookie, then you can look for that cookie
in your cold fusion page that displays the form (don't know if setting a cookie
is possible in perl as I know *squat* about perl).

2. Change your form processor to a CF page.

3. I haven't tried this, but theoretically, you could set a cookie with
javascript during the form 'onsubmit' event. A quick search resulted this
page:

which said you can set a cookie in javascript like this: document.cookie =
name=value;, so I would do something like this:

cfoutput
form action=cgi-bin/subqs.pl method=post target=_top
onsubmit=document.cookie = 'localip=#cgi.remote_addr#';
/cfoutput

Then, at the top of your page, change your CFIF to this:

cfif isDefined(cookie.localip) and cookie.localip EQ cgi.remote_addr
  STOP!
  cfabort
/cfif

Just FYI - You don't need to put # signs around a coldfusion variable when it
is contained within another cold fusion tag or function.

Hope this helps!

Dave

How are you setting this client variable if the calling page is posting to a
perl script? I am not sure how this is possible? You would need to have
form posting to cf page which sets the client var.

RE: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

2005-07-25 Thread Dave.Phillips
It means that you are trying to reference an index of an array that doesn't
exist. For example:

If you have an array called aCars and it has three elements:

aCars[1] = Ford
aCars[2] = Chrysler
aCars[3] = GM

Then, if you try to reference aCars[5] like this:

cfoutput#aCars[5]#/cfoutput

You will get an error. Not sure what the error would be, but that's what this
sounds like. As far as I know, anytime you reference an array with a negative
value index, it will generate an error, but don't quote me on this as I haven't
tested it.

I'd check your code for where you are accessing arrays, and make sure that if
you have the array access within a loop that your loop parameters will not
exceed the length of the array. If you can't figure it out, post some code on
here and someone will figure it out. :)

Re: Triple DES

2005-07-25 Thread Steve Bryant
That was actually the first thing I tried, but the resulting string is the
wrong length (throwing an error).

Sorry for the delayed response, btw - got a cold or something.

Steve

Hi Steven,
When sent the details about their keys, they included three keys.

Unfortunately, encrypt() and decrypt() each take only one key even when
using Triple DES (DESEDE) as the algorithm.
I have no specific experience with this implementation of 3DES, but my
understanding is that the 3 keys are normally concatenated to produce
1 key.
Not sure if simply concatenating them will suffice in your case, but
hopefully that gives you a starting point.

Chris

downloading the Windows Media Encoder SDK.

Even if it's not supported there's still a command-line encoder that would

But I think that any format almost by definition means that you'll be

How can I set the client variable to their IP Address when they submit

If so you could query that table for that IP..

cfquery name=foo datasource=...

/cfquery

then you can check the recordcount of that query..

cfschedule ghost threads

2005-07-25 Thread Micha Schopman
I hoped this would be a long solved dusty relic from CFMX, but I just
experienced that CFMX 6.1 fully patched also has issues with never
ending scheduler jobs. They do not appear in the list of jobs, but they
do however execute. I also checked any running jobs with the service
factory but, it also turned out to be empty.

Anyone else experienced this, and besides forcing a service restart of
CFMX did someone find a solution? The tasks are created with the
cfscheduler tag, and the same counts for the deletion of them when their
job is finished. The jobs are doing mass mailings, whereas cfschedule is
responsible for taking care of short pauses.

RSS and Clouds

2005-07-25 Thread S . Isaac Dealey
I noticed that the information about RSS 2.0[.1] has been updated on
the harvard site since the last time I looked, and they've added a
publish-subscribe mechanism called a cloud. I'm curious to know if a
lot of people are using or wanting to use clouds, or if when
implementing an RSS feed I should just continue to focus on pubDate,
lastBuildDate and ttl (time to live) as mechanisms for broadcasting
content updates?

I'm also thinking about including the RSS img tag in my updated RSS
feeds, which of course, requires additional user-input as well. I'm
thinking the image being provided in RSS feeds can also be insinuated
into the user-defined layout (or skin) for the blog, so the extra
input shouldn't seem too strange to a less technical user, but I'm
hesitant to introduce input elements for clouds if most folks will
just see the (optional) form elements and say WTF?! This is too
complicated!.

The context for this is blog software (currently) if it matters.

If you're scratching your head, but interested, the info is here:

RE: Restricting Access

2005-07-25 Thread Dave.Phillips
Ian,

client variables are a feature of coldfusion and can only be set/retrieved on
the server side. When you're looking at the form, you're on the client side.
If you use my javascript method in my previous post, you should be able to
access the same cookie on both the client and server side. If you don't want
to use a regular cookie, then your only option I can see is to re-write the
form processor in cold fusion. If you have to use client variables, then that
is definitely your only option.

input type=hidden name=sent value=yes

Then using the code below to set a client variable when the form is
submitted but still no luck!

 cfif isDefined(form.sent)

   cfset client.localip = #cgi.remote_addr#

/cfif

How can I set the client variable to their IP Address when they submit
the form ???

How are you setting this client variable if the calling page is posting
to a perl script? I am not sure how this is possible? You would need
to have form posting to cf page which sets the client var.

Ian,

client variables are a feature of coldfusion and can only be
set/retrieved on the server side. When you're looking at the form,
you're on the client side. If you use my javascript method in my
previous post, you should be able to access the same cookie on both the
client and server side. If you don't want to use a regular cookie, then
your only option I can see is to re-write the form processor in cold
fusion. If you have to use client variables, then that is definitely
your only option.

RE: cfschedule ghost threads

2005-07-25 Thread Micha Schopman
Dave,

It is a bug ... I am really astonished that such a mayor bug from 2003
still isn't fixed. Practically, the cfschedule tag is useless.

Bug: 48529
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_18325

The jobs all have different names, they run with a interval of 60
seconds, and are doing nothing more than cfmail start-endrow, until all
rows are handled. Then the job is removed, well .. it should have been
removed.

Still astonished ...

That's a good idea too. So in your form you would set form action to:
something.cfm and then in something.cfm you would have:

CFSET client.localip = cgi.remote_addr
cfhttp url=whatever.pl method=post
cfhttpparam type=formfield namefieldname value=form.fieldname /

/cfhttp
cfoutput#cfhttp.filecontent#/cfoutput

You could try this. I didn't test my code above for typos. :)

Dave,

It is a bug ... I am really astonished that such a mayor bug from 2003
still isn't fixed. Practically, the cfschedule tag is useless.

Bug: 48529
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_18325

The jobs all have different names, they run with a interval of 60
seconds, and are doing nothing more than cfmail start-endrow, until all
rows are handled. Then the job is removed, well .. it should have been
removed.

Still astonished ...

Micha,

I experienced the same thing and only a CF service restart cleared them.
It's gotta be a bug, but I haven't ever researched it to see if there is
a fix for it.

Are the jobs you're adding/deleting using the same task name? Have you
experienced trying to use either the same task name everytime, or a
different one everytime? I never tested that, just created my own
scheduling system (it was also for mailings). I have a table where the
mailing is added to the table, and I'm only using the CF scheduler to
run the same program every 5 minutes and look for any jobs that need to
be sent. This way I just have a static job in the CF scheduler and
don't have to worry about the bug. Alot of work to get around a bug
but

you gotta do what you gotta do (I'm sure someone important said that
one day)

Re: RSS and Clouds

2005-07-25 Thread Adrocknaphobia
Isaac,

Cloud has been around for awhile, but really hasn't gained much
popularity. It adds alot of complexity to consuming a feed (requiring
the consumer to setup web services). I'm not sure how many news
readers support it, I doubt many at all considering you pretty much
need a static IP. I think for public RSS feeds its probably not going
to be utilized much at all.

However for private feeds, say within corporate intranets where you
have some level of control over the consumers, then you can save alot
of bandwidth.

implementing an RSS feed I should just continue to focus on pubDate,
lastBuildDate and ttl (time to live) as mechanisms for broadcasting

I'm also thinking about including the RSS img tag in my updated RSS

thinking the image being provided in RSS feeds can also be insinuated
into the user-defined layout (or skin) for the blog, so the extra

hesitant to introduce input elements for clouds if most folks will
just see the (optional) form elements and say WTF?! This is too

I noticed that the information about RSS 2.0[.1] has been updated on
the harvard site since the last time I looked...

As Adam mentioned, rss:cloud isn't new... it's been in there for years. And I
can confirm that there have been very, very few implementors. If PubSub's
Atom-over-XMPP thing becomes popular, rss:cloud and the associated XML-RPC

Server Relocation

2005-07-25 Thread Kevin Bridges
Greetings:

We are running cfmx 6.1 and ms SQL Server and are going to be moving our
primary servers to a new physical location. We maintain several large
volume websites and want to provide the smallest impact possible to end
users.

Our plan, as it stands now, is to turn on the backup servers and bring
the primary servers down one by one. When we have the sites running on
backup systems we are going to move the primary machines to another
location. The old primary machines are going to be implemented as our
backup machines in the new location and we are using new servers for
primary (web, mail, sql, and cvs).

Because of the new machines we need to reinstall CF and deal with each
client on an individual basis. Clients may be running different
versions and have different customizations.

We would like to minimize the any lost data that may be entered into the
backup servers while we are pulling the new ones on line. I know this
is a broad question, but I would think a fair number in this community
have had to perform something similar ... What is the best way to
transfer the server settings, data sources, databases, custom extensions
(jars, tags) etc. to the new machines without causing our clients
customers to loose data.

Best Regards,
Kevin Bridges

RE: Rails like Framework

2005-07-25 Thread Damien McKenna
I'm about 3 days into building a blog actually as a sample application
for the onTap framework. It may or may not be the best sample
because
I'm actually adding some advanced features,

How about separating it into two applications, a basic one which would
cover some of the basics, and the advanced one? That way people could
ease into it a bit more, rather than having to learn everything in one
fell swoop. Kind of like how the older Fusebox demos worked, you'd have
several related projects with each building upon the previous one.

I just subscribed to the list so missed most of this thread ... please
disregard if not relevant.

Access is not imune. At a minimmun you have this vulnerability with VB
to deal with:
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/security/security_zone/asb99-09.html

I think if anyone is running a web application without actively
protecting themselves against injection attacks is running software I
would immediately chuck into to the opposite of the aint broken
category ... just an opinion.

FYI you can run multiple commands in ms access injection attacks by
using '%00' instead of the '--' used in ms SQL server attacks.

I'd also change those 3 most important things to planning,
documentation, and standards ... another opinion ;-)

Claude Schneegans wrote:

Right. However, before CF 5, consistency was NOT to use CFQUERYPARAM since it
didn't exist,
and I would add another most important thing: if it aint broken, don't fix
it...

So let me reformulate my question:
Is it really worth to modify old CF applications running Access to use
CFQUERYPARAM,
and is it really true that the only way for SQL injection is by using multiple
commands,
and that Access DS are SQL injection free?

RE: FuseBox - Fuse

2005-07-25 Thread Kevin Penny
Right ok - I think I am on the right track then - as I'm specifying a
permission on the fuseaction - then with a security plugin - I created -
I'm checking the permission vs. the access rights the user has (in a cookie
etc.)

So my security plugin runs and has some logic in it to check the permissions
on the current fuseaction -

So if it's not a 'publically' available fuseaction - (I've defined say 10
pages that are public) - then it will check the the fuseaction permission
against the user permissions.

cfif isdefined('attributes.fuseaction') and
not(listfind(request.PublicAccessFuses,lcase(attributes.fuseaction)))

I'm never referencing the security permissions from inside a fuseaction of
any kind - only the securityplugin is looking for 'access' or 'no-access'
for that fuseaction to that user.

Sound about right??

permissions, not your fuses, so having a fuse rely on the calling
fuseaction's permissions is almost certainly not what you really want.

In general, you fuses should be entirely agnostic to the framework;
they should only be aware of variables passing in and out, as per the
fusedocs.

The permissions attribute will usually be acted upon by a
prefuseaction plugin. And if you really do need access to the
permissions in a fuse, you should use a plugin to build a
request-scope variable that contains all the permissions needed to get
to the fuses location. Because the permission for the fuseaction
directly containing the fuse aren't the only ones you need to care
about, you also have to worry about all the fuseactions that the
reqeust went though (via the DO) tag to get to the point of the fuse.
I.e. you have to meet ALL those permissions in order to get them, not
just the ones on the last fuseaction.

And for completeness' sake, the permission attribute doesn't do
anything, it's merely a place to put information. If you want to
actually use the information, you have to write that yourself (almost
certainly as a prefuseaction plugin).

Access Remote For Functions

2005-07-25 Thread Kenton Gray
When writing Flash Remoting CFC's I have to set the the function
access to remote

eg: cffunction name=blah access=remote returnType=boolean
output=false

It seems to me that these have differences in how they behave from
normal functions in cfcs. For example, if I put an init function into
it and set this.example = 4, and then in another function attempt to
call this.example it will say it's undefined.

Is there any good explanation online in the differences between
remote functions, and is there anyway to have any sort of state to
a flash remoting cfc or are you forced to refresh all data at each call?

Thanks,
Kenton

It sounds to me like you've found all the explanation there is - with web
services, there is no state between service calls unless you explicitly
build it yourself. There are a couple of approaches you can take - you can
use CF's state management which relies on cookies by default, or you can
build a login or initialization service, which sends the client a token
which the client would then send to any other service calls it makes.

Yes, you can, as long as the configuration information will exactly match on
both servers for the specific neo- file you copy. For example, if the
datasources will be identical in all respects, you can copy neo-query.xml
from one server to another. If they won't be exactly identical, you may be
able to copy it anyway and just make some minor changes in a text editor.

If you are running the J2EE version you can just copy the entire

However the easiest way is it make a CAR file (ColdFusion archive)

I received some feedback from MM in regards to an issue I have been
trying to tackle for a while now:

Enable SSL debugging by adding in the following JVM argument for more
info. -Dssl.debug=true This should write out to the standard out log.
This will show in what CACERTS file Coldfusion is looking for the
 certificate.

I did exactly as requested above, also restarted the CF server, made
another call to the class, then had a look at
 C:\CFusionMX\runtime\logs\default-out.log

But no reference to what certs CF is looking for.

 Anyone any ideas?

You need to encapsulate the entire cfdocument either inside or outside
the if statements ... that works the sam way if you improperly nest

I would use CFSAVECONTENT to get the information between the CFIF tags.
That may be a more-graceful way of handling this.

I would say the error is because you can't nest CF tags in this manner.

How about separating it into two applications,
a basic one which would cover some of the basics,

ease into it a bit more, rather than having to
learn everything in one fell swoop. Kind of
like how the older Fusebox demos worked, you'd
have several related projects with each building

Yeah, I could do that... graduating features into / out of the app...

Well, if by request headers you mean the HTTP request and response
headers, you won't be able to see them by default. You will be able to see
the SSL certificate information and handshakes, etc. If you want to see the

Tool for monitoring directory/sending notification...

2005-07-25 Thread Dan G. Switzer, II
Does anyone know of a good (preferably free) tool that will watch a
directory and if there are any files older than XXX send some kind of
notification/alert?

Apparently this morning around 1:29am GMT CF got locked out of the Spool
directory. It could write to the directory, but wasn't sending mail. I ended
up having to kick the services to get it up and running again.

Anyway, my boss wants to make sure we know ASAP if mails not going out. The
most straightforward method seems like to watch the spool directory and if
there's files in there older than a couple of minutes, well, then I know the
spool isn't sending mail. Obviously, I'd need to be notified in some manor
other than CFMAIL, so I'd prefer the product to be able to send SMTP mail on
it's own.

So, in a nutshell I'm looking for something to monitor spool folders and to
generate a notification alert if a folder has files in it and it has not
removed any files recently.

Anyway recommendations? I've been searching all evening and haven't found
anything that does exactly what I need...

By monitoring the mail out directory on a regular basis, you can avoid the CF

It's never done it before, but I need to make sure we know about it
immediately if it does. The log files have been most vague, only stating
that the spool file was locked.

When I finally recycled the services, it sent all the e-mails in the spool
directory, so it doesn't appear to have been a malformed e-mail address.

I think maybe the problem might have been between CF and IIS SMTP, I kind of
think CF hung and wouldn't release it's SMTP connection pool.

Re: Tool for monitoring directory/sending notification...

2005-07-25 Thread Kevin Bridges
I prefer non microsoft environments so compiled this from a few minutes
with google so may or may not help. It would seem you could use vb or
ActiveXObjects in javascript to create something like what you are
looking for ... Something like the following gives you the basics. If I
recall properly your involved with qforms so should be able to modify
these pretty easily to get something working. This was the result of a
few quick google searches ... I would highly recommend not placing this
type of code in a public web accesible folder:

set fso = CreateObject(Scripting.FileSystemObject)
set file = fso.GetFile(c:\windows\notepad.exe )
WScript.echo Notepad.exe was created on, file.DateCreated
WScript.echo and is, file.Size, bytes long

While this one gives you a directory listing:

%@ LANGUAGE=VBSCRIPT %
%

'Written by: Toby Gramm
'070698
'Modified 092998 - Added support for Folders.
' As suggested by Bill Wilkinson [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Sub Main()
sPP = Request.QueryString(PP) 'Physical Path
sUP = Request.QueryString(UP) 'URL Path

Set fso = CreateObject(Scripting.FileSystemObject)
Set f = fso.GetFolder(sPP)
Set fc = f.Files
Set ff = f.SubFolders
For Each f1 in ff
  Response.Write a href= sUP f1.namef1.name /a
br
Next
Response.Write br
For Each f1 in fc
  Response.Write a href= sUP f1.namef1.name /a
br
Next
Set ff = nothing
Set fso = nothing
Set f = nothing
Set fc = nothing
End Sub
%
Main()

Then maybe combine with something like this for smtp:

'//
'//
'// Send SMTP Mail messsage via VBScript.
'// 12/09/02
'//
'// Written by: Nathan Strimling
'//

End With

'// Set the message properties.

Set .Configuration = iConf

End With

'// An attachment can be included.

For all troubles like this, I use Ethereal. Its a open source
network sniffer that lets you see what transactions are happening
over the wire. I've used it to find out many times where
 connections were failing.

 http://www.ethereal.com/

Of course, you won't be able to see the actual SSL packets
body, but you can see the request headers...

Well, if by request headers you mean the HTTP request and response
headers, you won't be able to see them by default. You will be able to see
the SSL certificate information and handshakes, etc. If you want to see
 the
content of HTTPS requests and responses, you'll need to use a tool that
 acts
as an SSL proxy, such as ssldump, I think.

trying to tackle for a while now:

Enable SSL debugging by adding in the following JVM argument for more
info. -Dssl.debug=true This should write out to the standard out log.
This will show in what CACERTS file Coldfusion is looking for the
 certificate.

I did exactly as requested above, also restarted the CF server, made
another call to the class, then had a look at
 C:\CFusionMX\runtime\logs\default-out.log

But no reference to what certs CF is looking for.

 Anyone any ideas?

 Thanks,
