Tag: title #: mta.xml:5 #, no-c-format msgid Configuring Your Mail Transport Agent msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:7 #, no-c-format msgid Today, email is a very important part of many people's life, so it's no surprise Debian lets you configure your mail system right as a part of the installation process. The standard mail transport agent in Debian is commandexim4/command, which is relatively small, flexible, and easy to learn. msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:15 #, no-c-format msgid You may ask if this is needed even if your computer is not connected to any network. The short answer is: Yes. The longer explanation: Some system utilities (like commandcron/command, commandquota/command, commandaide/command, hellip;) may send you important notices via email. msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:23 #, no-c-format msgid So on the first screen you will be presented with several common mail scenarios. Choose the one that most closely resembles your needs: msgstr #. Tag: term #: mta.xml:32 #, no-c-format msgid internet site msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:33 #, no-c-format msgid Your system is connected to a network and your mail is sent and received directly using SMTP. On the following screens you will be asked a few basic questions, like your machine's mail name, or a list of domains for which you accept or relay mail. msgstr #. Tag: term #: mta.xml:44 #, no-c-format msgid mail sent by smarthost msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:45 #, no-c-format msgid In this scenario is your outgoing mail forwarded to another machine, called a quotesmarthost/quote, which does the actual job for you. Smarthost also usually stores incoming mail addresed to your computer, so you don't need to be permanently online. That also means you have to download your mail from the smarthost via programs like fetchmail. This option is suitable for dial-up users. msgstr #. Tag: term #: mta.xml:58 #, no-c-format msgid local delivery only msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:59 #, no-c-format msgid Your system is not on a network and mail is sent or received only between local users. Even if you don't plan to send any messages, this option is highly recommended, because some system utilities may send you various alerts from time to time (e.g. beloved quoteDisk quota exceeded/quote). This option is also convenient for new users, because it doesn't ask any further questions. msgstr #. Tag: term #: mta.xml:72 #, no-c-format msgid no configuration at this time msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:73 #, no-c-format msgid Choose this if you are absolutely convinced you know what you are doing. This will leave you with an unconfigured mail system mdash; until you configure it, you won't be able to send or receive any mail and you may miss some important messages from your system utilities. msgstr #. Tag: para #: mta.xml:84 #, no-c-format msgid If none of these scenarios suits your needs, or if you need a finer setup, you will need to edit configuration files under the filename/etc/exim4/ filename directory after the installation is complete. More information about commandexim4/command may be found under filename/usr/share/doc/ exim4/filename. msgstr --- NEW FILE: shadow.po --- msgid msgstr Project-Id-Version: \n POT-Creation-Date: 2001-02-09 01:25+0100\n PO-Revision-Date: 2004-07-03 14:45+1000\n Last-Translator: Nikolai Prokoschenko [EMAIL PROTECTED]\n Language-Team: Russian debian-l10n-russian@lists.debian.org\n MIME-Version: 1.0\n Content-Type: application/x-xml2pot; charset=UTF-8\n Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n X-Generator: KBabel 1.3.1\n Plural-Forms: nplurals=3; plural=(n%10==1 n%100!=11 ? 0 : n%10=2 n% 10=4 (n%10010 || n%100=20) ? 1 : 2);\n #. [d-i manual] New Russian translation
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello Nikolai, I noticed the new translation. I have tested that your translation builds OK (and it does, after fixing one small mistake in ru/boot-new/boot-new.xml). I have added Russian to the list of languages to be build (this is done on one of my servers at home and runs 4 times a week). You can first expect the results sunday on http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/manual/. A mail with the results of a build will be send to the debian-l10n-russian list (If you would like it send elsewhere, please contact me). A build is triggered automatically when files are committed to SVN. I noted that the translation is a bit patchy. A lot of places where Russian and English are mixed. This will give you a higher ranking on the manual index page than you really deserve :-P Cheers, FJP -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBQhIigm/Kwh6ICoQRAv4pAKCKeQIVlkszjekCRNnwCbI2fvIA1wCeICkJ qNqsshvQ2YhPGrZUej5JF0A= =J8Ye -END PGP SIGNATURE-
