That sounds like the default > behaviour for the web UI, but not on other UIs. On https://listen.tidal.com/ in a web browser, if I start playing a song in a playlist, it continues with the rest of the playlist. In the windows tidal app, if I start playing a song in a playlist, it continues with the rest of the playlist (i.e. the same behaviour as the web page). The playlist items in the above interfaces have three different options: - The heart (which is "Add to My Collection") - The "+" (which is "Add to Playlist") - Selecting the song itself, which starts playing the song (and continuing with the rest of the playlist) In addition each playlist item has a "..." button that opens an Options menu. In the android tidal app, if I start playing a song in a playlist, it continues with the rest of the playlist. The android app have just two possible ways to select the song: - Selecting the song itself, which starts the song playing, and continues with what seems to be a random song from the same playlist (that was really strange...? Anyway: not the behaviour I was hoping for. Can't remember this behaviour the last time I used the app) - "..." which opens an options menu ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] TIDAL plugin request: play playlist from selected tune
Hi, Who maintains the TIDAL plugin? I have googled but not found. Is it open source? Do they accept pull requests? I have a wish: when selecting a tune in a playlist I would like to play the rest of the playlist, starting with the selected tune. What happens today is that just that tune is played and then playing stops. I have some very long playlists and clicking through songs to get to the point I left off the day before can become very tiresome. Especially when I'm getting close to the end of the playlist. [slim] How to connect Duet receiver without controller to mysqueezebox.com?
I have an old duet receiver where the controller died quite a while back, but the duet receiver kept working until the power supply died in 2017. Now I've gotten a power supply from someone else's old duet receiver and I plugged the power into the receiver, and the LED on the front lit up and cycled through a lot of colours until finally settling on blue, This meant that it was connected to the home wi-fi and was trying to find a squeeze server of some sort. The player is listed on mysqueezebox.com from earlier, but didn't show up as connected. I booted the PC that used to run LMS and started LMS and the player appeared there. But the LMS settings had no setting for connecting the player to mysqueezebox.com. I looked at Net::UDAP which I've used earlier to reconnect the duet receiver to the wi-fi after changing the access point. But Net::UDAP seems to be concerned with getting a duet on to the network, and the duet is on the network. Is there a REST API on the duet itself that I could use to make it use mysqueezebox.com? You'd need to do so if you changed your password. Thanks for the clarification, Michael! The reason I thought this meant it wasn't working, is that when I try the remote control, and then 1. click "TIDAL" 2. click "Mine spillelister" (which is Norwegian for "My playlists") 3. The remote control says "Spilleren din har ikke lov til å bruke mysqueezebox.com." which means "Your player isn't allowed to use mysqueezebox.com" So I misread that response to mean "your player isn't allowed to use the TIDAL plugin in mysqueezebox.com". But what the actually says is that the SB radio itself isn't allowed to use mysqueezebox.com. However the radio shows up in "Spillere" (ie. "Players") as "Tilkoblet" (ie. "Connected"), and other functionality from mysqueezebox.com such as Radio and alarm clock works fine. In "Mine tjenester" (ie. "My services"): 1. I click "TIDAL" 2. Select the tab "Spilleringstillinger" (ie. "Player settings" or "Player configuration") 3. Squeezebox radio shows up with my phone number without the "47" (ie. "Norway) prefix, and status "Aktivert" (ie. "Activated") and in "Hovedmeny" (ie. "Main menu") has selected "Vis på hovedmenyen" (ie. "Show in the main menu") 4. The old (possibly dead) duet receiver had the phone number with a "47" prefix 5. I switched the squeezebox radio to the phone number with "47" prefix 6. I opened the remote control and tried to navigate to "TIDAL->My playlists" as above, but got the same error message, ie. "Spilleren din har ikke lov til å bruke mysqueezebox.com." (ie. "Your player isn't allowed to use mysqueezebox.com") So I'm confused...? :-) Thanks, again! ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Hi, Yesterday I switched my 2004 vintage access point with a (fairly) new one, using the same ESSID and the same WPA2 password. However having a network with the same ESSID and WPA2 password wasn't enough to make the squeezeboxes rejoin the network. Rebooting them didn't help. >>>>> Steinar Bang <s...@dod.no>: > I will read the Net::UDAP documentation more closely to see if there was > a step I've missed. Ok, I did that, and now it's working! :-) I reconnected the Duet receiver to the cabled network, disconnected and reconnected the power plug, pressed the button on the front panel until the light started blinking rapidly red, and then followed the instructions on the "getting started" page http://projects.robinbowes.com/Net-UDAP/trac/wiki/GettingStarted with the actual "set" command picked from http://projects.robinbowes.com/Net-UDAP/trac/wiki/SampleUsage#WirelessWPA1DHCP (using my own values for wireless_SSID, wireless_wpa_psk, and squeezecenter_address) Thanks! :-) To summarize what I did to get things working, with Net::UDAP running on a debian "jessie" computer (for someone discovering this while googling for a solution): 1. Get the Net::UDAP source on the "jessie" computer: mkdir -p ~/git cd ~/git git clone https://github.com/robinbowes/net-udap.git 2. Get the missing debian-provided perl modules, as root do the following commands: apt-get install libterm-shell-perl libio-interface-perl 3. Manually install the Log::StdLog perl module (not provided by debian as far as I could tell): 1. Download and unpack the Log-StdLog-v0.0.3.tar.gz file from http://search.cpan.org/~dconway/Log-StdLog-v0.0.3/lib/Log/StdLog.pm cd /tmp wget http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/D/DC/DCONWAY/Log-StdLog-v0.0.3.tar.gz tar zxf Log-StdLog-v0.0.3.tar.gz 2. As root, build and install the Log::StdLog perl module: cd /tmp/Log-StdLog-v0.0.3 perl Build.PL ./Build ./Build test ./Build install 4. Connect the Duet receiver to the same ethernet segment as the debian computer, using a cabled network connection 5. Power on the Duet receiver with the cabled connector plugged in 6. Press the button on the front of the Duet receiver until the light starts blinking _rapidly_ red (it blinks slowly red at first, but keep the button pressed a little longer) 7. Follow the instructions on the Net::UDAP Getting Started page: http://projects.robinbowes.com/Net-UDAP/trac/wiki/GettingStarted Replace the "set " command with the desired network configuration fetched from this page: http://projects.robinbowes.com/Net-UDAP/trac/wiki/SampleUsage (See the "Complete Examples" section for something that fits) And that's it. Thank you! :-) I have plugged in the RJ45 cable, plugged the power out and back in, and pressed the plug until the front light blinks red. Then I started Net::UDAP shell, ie. cd ~/git/net-udap ./scripts/udap_shell.pl Then I did the following commands in the UDAP shell: discover conf 1 set interface=0 wireless_mode=0 wireless_region_id=14 wireless_SSID=MySSID wireless_wpa_on=1 wireless_keylen=1 wireless_wpa_psk="Top Secret!" lan_ip_mode=1 squeezecenter_address=192.168.1.150 save_data reset (this time I got no error messages) But the status is still the same :-/ : - The MAC of the SB Duet receiver repeatedly connects to the Access Point - There are no entries for the MAC of the DB Duet receiver in the DHCP server log - The SB Duet Receiver does not show up in my SqueezeCenter I have tried powering off and on the SB Duet receiver (plugging the power out and back in) with the RJ45 cable disconnected, but the SB Duet receiver still hasn't shown up in the DHCP logs or in SqueezeCenter, unfortunately. After powering the SB Duet receiver on, the light first goes red, and then goes white. Was it supposed to end up in a different colour? Green, perhaps? > I've used the Windows Net::UDAP a couple of times and it worked fine > provided I started with the receiver being Ethernet attached and being > in the factory reset state. Yes, when I tried the commands conf 1 set interface=0 wireless_mode=0 wireless_region_id=14 wireless_SSID=MySSID wireless_wpa_on=1 wireless_keylen=1 wireless_wpa_psk="Top Secret!" lan_ip_mode=1 squeezecenter_address=192.168.1.150 save_data reset after having reset the Duet receiver using the front button, there were no error messages containing the text "Uninitialized value ...". [slim] Trying to change WPA key on Duet receiver
Hi, I have changed the WPA key in my home network and am trying to change the WPA key on my Duet receiver (the Duet hand control is long dead. I've controlled it with smartphone and tablet apps, and the web interface of my local squeezecenter). Here's what I've done so far: - Installed Net::UDAP on a debian "jessie" machine (did a "git clone https://github.com/robinbowes/net-udap.git;) - Installed the necessary perl packages: - Installed those that were provided in debian with: apt-get install libterm-shell-perl libio-interface-perl - Installed the Log::StdLog perl module manually (not provided by debian): - Downloaded the Log-StdLog-v0.0.3.tar.gz file from http://search.cpan.org/~dconway/Log-StdLog-v0.0.3/lib/Log/StdLog.pm - Unpackaged the tar.gz file and ran the following commands as root: perl Build.PL ./Build install - Started the Net::UDAP shell application as a non-root user in a terminal window: cd ~/git/net-udap ./scripts/udap_shell.pl - Tried to set up the new WPA-code using this setup: http://projects.robinbowes.com/Net-UDAP/trac/wiki/SampleUsage#WirelessWPA1DHCP (same command, just different wireless_SSID, wireless_wpa_psk, and squeezecenter_address) This is what I've seen after running the commands: - The MAC address on the receiver fills up the Access Point's log with messages like this: 20 hour(s) 33 min(s) 06 sec(s) after system power on : Wireless MAC address 00:04:20:17:45:C8 has connected with the device (this is the same MAC address as can be found printed on the underside of the SB Duet receiver) - There are no DHCPREQUEST messages with this MAC address in the DHCP-server's log - The Duet receiver has not shown up in SqueezeCenter again (it just shows my SB Radio, which also is in the same LAN. The SB Radio could configure the new WPA key using the GUI on the Radio itself, so it has been working all the time) Does anyone know what I could do to debug this further? I got an awful lot of error messages about "uninitialized value" from "Net::UDAP" when doing the configuration commands, so I don't know how well it worked (my current perl version is 5.20.2). When I opened the firewall on Windows 8, and selected the open for app or function (freely translated from the Norwegian text in the Norwegian Win8 install), there were two entries for Spotify in there. There were two columns with checkmarks: Private and Public (I guess... the Norwegian text there said Offentlig). Both of the Spotify entries had checkmarks in Public, but Private was unchecked. I checked the Private entries as well, but that didn't make any difference. Do I have to open an incoming port on my firewall to the outside world as well? [slim] Duet control doesn't see any wireless networks (scan comes up empty should be 9 or 10)
I thought the battery on my Duet hand control had died, but when someone dusted it this weekend it started charging again. So it was probably just a bad connection. However, while it was dead I had changed my WLAN from WEP to WPA2. Same SSID, but different encryption and different key/password. The Duet shows a red anenna symbol (unsurprisingly). When it first came back up, it listed all of the neighbourhood WLANs and showed my WLAN with a checkmark. I tried connecting to it which failed, and I was given the option of giving a new password (but not to change the encryption method). I gave the new password, but the Duet control was unable to connect. It didn't show up as connected, or trying to connect, in either the AP, nor in the DHCP server log. So I shut the Duet control off, and switched it back in again. And when it came back up it was unable to see any WLAN (the netbook I am typing this on shows 9 WLANs in addition to my own, all with strong signals). I have tried connecting blindly to my WLAN, giving the SSID, WPA2 as the encryption and the network password. But that didn't work either. Does anyone know what I can do to make WLAN scan work again? And what I need to do to connect to my own? I have googled for this issue, but not seeing any WLANs at all doesn't seem to be a common Duet control problem...? I'm currently running server version: 7.6.1-r33110@Wed Aug 17 18:52:34 PDT 2011 Yesterday I was logged in on the XP machine running squeeze server. When I look at http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download I see that 7.7.1 is available. How should I proceed? Should I download 7.7.1 and install it? Will it be able to upgrade the existing installation and keep the settings? Or is there a different way I can persuade the existing installation to upgrade itself?
