I don't have a Shuttle Pro, but I've had this problem before with a USB
device. I discovered that the device needs constant power via the USB
 port
and that the power management for the port wasn't set up right. You
 have
 to
go to the Hardware tab under System Properties, click on Device Manager,
 go
to the University Serial Bus Controller list, right-click on the USB
 Root
Hub items one at a time (there may be several), click the Power
 Management
tab of each, make sure the box Allow the computer to turn off this
 device
to save power is not checked. You might also click on the Power tab
 and
see what it says there too. I'm not saying this is the problem. It was
 for
me for a different device with the same symptoms. I no longer
 experience
  those symptoms.

I am still having problems losing the USB connection. It seems to happen
mostly when the radio/computer is setting idle with no activity, but has
happened a couple times during qso's. I have shut off everything I
 thought
might be the cause such as power management on the computer and any
automatic update, spam blockers, etc. Still no joy...

When I asked about this a few days ago there were a few folks who
 responded
both on the list and privately that they were experiencing the same
 thing.
Just wanted to check once again to see if anyone has stumbled across a

Also, for some reason I cannot seem to program the cw memories to work

Re: [Flexradio] UK Database

2006-09-07 Thread David Ackrill
Hi Eric,

There's a link on the RSGB website (www.rsgb.org.uk) which shows the UK
allocations on all the 'normal' bands from 137kHz up to 250GHz.

60M is a bit different over here from that allocated in the USA, in that
only one 'channel' is the same and we are not as restricted as to modes
and power used.

I'd be happy to copy the allocations, modes and power limits from my
Notice of Variation and email it to you if that helps?

I'm copying to the group in case anyone else wants a copy as well.

 Hi,

I remember raising the question of a bespoke database for UK bandplans,
especially 60M (5MHz) where the allocation is different here than in the

Has anyone managed to set one up please and, if so, where can I get a

At the moment I can't transmit on the 60M 'channels' that are allocated

Re: [Flexradio] Linear+SDR1000 Enable X2TR

The delay is included to allow you to delay for slower relays to completely
close before presenting RF on the output. For most amplifiers/xvtrs, 50ms
is plenty. Many work with a setting of 0ms. Your mileage may vary
depending on your hardware.

Dave,

PowerSDR requires that the .NET Framework v1.1 be installed. However, it is
not a problem to have .NET v2.0 installed as well (at least in the 3
machines that I work with). I remember others commenting along the same
lines last time this came up on the reflector. The net is that you don't
need v2.0 for our software, but it shouldn't hurt to have it installed as
long as v1.1 remains on the system.

The complete SVN 665 can be downloaded in ZIP format at:

File is about 4 megs. Be sure to unzip is into a new empty directory,

As before, files contained in this ZIP are free of viruses to the best

 Dave,

The current SVN version is 665. Brian has agreed to do periodic updates
(weekly?) to his website with the SVN versions. The best situation is to be
able to use an SVN client like TortoiseSVN (setup guide available on our
download page at www.flex-radio.com). However, we understand that there are
some that cannot access the SVN site due to firewalls or limited internet
 access.

There are more than one protocol for USB. It's actually been around for over
ten (10) years. Perhaps we need to take a good look to see if differences among
them make a difference here. One thing I would suggest it to go the the control
panel and install the USB hub and related software then reboot and let the
software search the web for the latest drivers.

Re: [Flexradio] PowerSDR 1.6.3 SVN 665

This is related to our -11kHz offset. This gives us rails of
High: sample_rate/2-if-spur_reduction_width
Low: -sample_rate/2-if+spur_reduction_width

At 96kHz, this figures to High: 33924 and Low: -55974, hence the lop-sided
view. Note that when you scale all the way out, the -11kHz hump is directly
in the center.

[Flexradio] SDR-1000 and TVI

2006-09-07 Thread Jim, W4ATK
It seems that since installing the SDR-1000 w/ 100W amplifier, I now
have
TVI on my DirecTV satellite system. I have tried, and am currently using the
S-vieo out to the AV input on my TV which would seem to be the best choice.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have suggestions and/or
cures. As far as I know at present, the XYL is the only one that has noticed
it (no neighbors yet). I am thinking a low-pass filter in the line out to
the antennas might be in order.
My shack is second story so the ground is not optimal although it is #6
copper to an 8' driven ground as direct as possible from the shack to the
ground.
I would have thought a satellite system would be the least succeptible
of
all to TVI.

Re: [Flexradio] Download and install Tortoise SVN

2006-09-07 Thread FlexRadio - Eric
Make absolutely certain that you copied the url correctly as it is
case-sensitive (typos are common on the IP address near the beginning too).
You may want to just copy+paste the url as that is a fail-safe way to go.

If it is not the address, you may have some kind of firewall up that is
preventing you from connecting (though this is not what the error seems to
indicate). Let us know what you find.

[Flexradio] 1.6.3 SVN 668 - Includes some great enhancements

2006-09-07 Thread Duane - N9DG
Wow, I like it. Thanks for the new panadaper frequency scale
and the zoom/pan sliders.

This console is really becoming ever more powerful and ever
easier to use for the more casual 1 RX at a time radioing.

Re: [Flexradio] PowerSDR 1.6.3 SVN 665

2006-09-07 Thread Larry Loen
Just trying out SVN 665 (thanks W5AMI for the zip).

I've turned conservative of late, sticking to the official releases
only. I've simply let all the recent betas kind of wash over me,
undiscovered.

Wow.

A great deal of what I had been asking for has been implemented
(particularly the pan/zoom features of the panadapter and more to be
discovered, I'm sure).

Thanks to all who were involved.

[Flexradio] LDG AT-200PC

2006-09-07 Thread Lee A Crocker
I was looking over the LDG website tonight and I ran
across the LDG AT-200PC. The 200PC is an auto tuner
that is controlled from the PC. It has 2 channels
that allow for 2 antennas, and it remembers the tuning
for each of those antennas.

One thing that I miss in the SDR-1000 is the ability
to have a second antenna such as a Beveredge on RX.
This device it seems to me would make an ideal
addition to the SDR-1000, as the software could allow
the ability to choose the antenna, and the tuner could
easily be controlled from PowerSDR.

I wonder if there is any development along these
lines?

Make absolutely certain that you copied the url correctly as it is
case-sensitive (typos are common on the IP address near the beginning too).
You may want to just copy+paste the url as that is a fail-safe way to go.

If it is not the address, you may have some kind of firewall up that is
preventing you from connecting (though this is not what the error seems to
indicate). Let us know what you find.
