Re: [Framers] Graphics question

2022-10-19 Thread Grant Hogarth
IIRC, what I used to do with this was to add a very tiny (3pt?) para
below the image in the frame. I've also used a graphics tool to add 3pt
of white/transparent to the bottom of the image.

Subject [Framers] Graphics question

OK,

This is kinda' a combination question, and I hope that I can articulate the
issue what I am running into. I have many Excel charts/graphics that I must
incorporate into a manual. My SME has provided these graphics in an Excel
spreadsheet, with one graphic per tab/sheet.

I have Excel 2016, and there is a known issue that Microsoft NEVER bothered to
fix in that the Save As Picture option on the graphic context menu (right-click
the any border of the graphic to open the context menu) just got nuked/blown
away after some long ago updates and never added back in to the menu, so the
workaround is to right-click the graphic, select Copy, and then Paste the
copied graphic into a blank PPT slide. You can then right-click on the graphic
in PPT and the Save as Picture option is there, so I do this and then save the
picture as a PNG and it looks just as expected with borders, legends . . .
Nothing is missing in the pasted graphic.

Now, in both the pasted graphic in PPT and in the saved PNG when opened in
SnagIT, the bottom border of the graphic is clearly displayed - you can see all
four borders (top, bottom, and right and left sides); however, when I then
import the graphic by reference into an anchored frame in Framemaker (2019,
64-bit), the bottom border NEVER shows - I thought that maybe it was just a
display funkiness in the source file, but when I save the source file as a PDF,
and open the PDF and even increase the magnification, the bottom border is just
not showing, so after I save the chart as a PNG in SnagIt, I then have to
manually draw in the bottom border over the bottom border that is already
displayed and then I can save the PNG and import it and the bottom border
shows. Does this even make sense?

If anyone has any ideas as to why I am seeing this quirk and what to do about
it, I would sincerely appreciate it.

So any ideas for FM10 newsletter templates? Anybody? Beuhler?

Hmmm ... PNG is not a vector format - it is a bitmap ("raster") too.

So, I am not sure what format your illustrator actually provided!

I have one particular image that is composed of detailed line art, about an

Ideas?

Maybe it's just FrameMaker being a bit more human. I have a few words

can't abide. Such as 'deal' ;-)

To be sensible for a moment (why?), is there any possibility that your
source document has been compiled from some cut and paste operation
that has

resulted in each instance of the problem word containing, say, hidden
characters?

I ask because whenever I work on a document with a lot of repetition, I
use

a text expander instead of endlessly typing, say,
antidisestablishmentarianism or whatever, and if the source word in the
expander somehow has cruft in it, you get that cruft in every instance
of
the word. I have also programmed the expander with my all favorite
typos:

maybe your author got sick of typing 'hieght' and then correcting it?

Just a thought... Other than that, maybe try a reinstall of FrameMaker?
But

odds on it's a problem with the document rather than with the app.

In earlier versions you could edit the site.dict file.

According to the Adobe forums (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1148638):
In later versions, the Adobe dictionaries are located in a Linguistics
folder. The exact location varies depending upon the O/S, but in Windows
the Linguistics files can be found at any of these locations depending
upon your operating system and installation location (typically drive
C:, but can vary):

 \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Linguistics
  \Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Adobe\Linguistics

  \users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Linguistics
That said, I was not able to find a dictionary file (as such) in any of
these folders.

OK, I will admit - in all my years of working w/ FM, I have never seen

is
beyond me. Where is this Spelling Checker Options dialog box and why

Re: [Framers] Frame2017 slow on network??

2018-08-17 Thread grant
I've had that problem as well. As I understand it, it has to do with
   handshaking protocols and packet prioritization.

The best answer I have found is to work on the files locally, and then
save them back up to the network drive. Suboptimal, but faster.

When you export the SVG with the embedded bitmap to PDF, is it still
missing? FrameMaker can't always preview vector images.

You're wasting your time embedding bitmaps in SVGs. It's still a
bitmap, so if someone zooms in it you'll start seeing the graininess.
Only the vector portions of the SVG will stay sharp.

Which font (exactly) was reported as missing before you tried to get
rid of it by turning off "Remember missing font names"? And which
font (exactly) is reported as missing now?
I'm asking, because FM replaces fonts by a standard mappings (see
maker.ini). And maybe something like "Fontname1 Heavy" was replaced
with "Fontname2 Heavy" (which might be not present as well) or
somethings replacement problems come up with Bold, Italic,
 BoldItalic replacements.

Re: [Framers] OT-Documenting APIs

2017-11-23 Thread Grant Hogarth

Hi Shmuel
You are correct. The second form are usually called REST or RESTful
applications.
The main difference from our perspective is that for the REST type, you
really do need to provide a lot more "recipes" for how the various HTTP
requests (GET, POST, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS, etc.) are used, and
which requests are and are not supported.
This is because the same API will behave (and respond) differently
depending on the type of request being made. A GET, for example, only
returns information from the target, while a POST or PATCH will change
the target.
A use case (highly recommended), should show how a user would make a
request using a GET to retrieve information (for example, the name of
the resource), and then use a PATCH to change the name.

For my own purposes, I define an "Example" as a single use of a command
or call/request, and a "Use Case" as a collection of commands/calls that
show how the user would achieve a desired task. By analogy, a Use Case
is a routine that is composed of subroutines, while an Example would be
a single-operation sub-routine.

Does this help?

Just to add to what others have mentioned, I did a search for "API
documentation" on Udemy.com and there is a nice list of API courses:

https://www.udemy.com/courses/search/?q=api%20documentation

I think there are two different types of APIs:
1. A list if software functions
2. Web-based commands that allow you to interact with website
applications

The two types seem very different. I write software reference manuals
that are like #1 above, but the API documentation examples here don't
look anything like what I write:

Could someone verify if this is correct or not?

Re: [Framers] OT-Documenting APIs

2017-11-23 Thread Grant Hogarth

Hi Allison.
I've done a fair bit of API documentation, so feel free to ask me
questions.

The thing to remember is that basically an API doc is a cookbook. You
are providing the recipe and cooking instructions.

Most APIs these days are in some variant of XML (XML, YAML, YANG, etc.),
so being comfortable reading XML is a good start. W3schools has really
good reference material.

The other big thing is being able to read the source material and parse
it out.
XSD files are often used for these, but so are .yang and .json files.
yang.org and json.org have good references.

There are two significant areas for TWs in the source.
1) the Description section. This should clearly explain what the
element being described does.
2) the criteria section. This is basically everything else in the
element description. While some programmers are really OCD about doing
a complete set, others are lazy (or have been distracted).

At a minimum, you need to check for
* name
* type (uint, date, string, etc.)
* units (if required)
* optional/required
* values and restrictions This can get broken out as min/max values,
default, special values (such as -1), etc. These may be separate items
or a single item. You will often find this information buried in the
description, which is (IMO) not correct.

---
Depending on your application, there may be other types of values (for
example a mapping app might have directions), a financial app might have
currencies, etc.)

Note that the "type" may be something your dev team has cobbled up. If
so, you will need to find the file that they defined the type and then
locate the definition. (usually with a defType statement)

If you are doing RESTful APIs, check out
https://gist.github.com/iros/3426278

If you can pick your own tools, then grab a copy of Notepad++, if only
to use it as a scratch pad.

Once you have all tee information, then you need to work with your PM do
determine how much reference information you need to provide. Much of
this (as always) depends on the target audience. I've done really basic
stuff for experts, and full-on "this is what REST is and this is what a
.yang file looks like" material. At the very least, you need to provide
information on how the users (usually developers, but not always), will
connect to your system, what files are required, what correct out put
will look line and so on.

That should get you started.

Another way to do this would be to

4. Search and Replace the string.
5. Save the MIF.
6. Reopen in FM.

Re: [Framers] "Secret" Freeze Pagination Feature

2017-04-25 Thread Grant Hogarth

Hi Stefan;
I used it a few times back in the day (I've been using FM since v2)
to create "insert" pages (for documents that were printed and stored in
3-ring binders). These pages would be updates to the existing document.
That said, I have not used the feature in many years, and I'm not sure
it is useful outside of a paper-based environment. I suppose one could
create such a page as something to be inserted into a PDF, but I'd have
to be convinced of the value of that in comparison to a linked list of
changes.
I'd much rather have an in-built tracking option that I could use to
flag changes and be able to add an auto-generated list of changes
chapter to a publication. (I see it as similar to the existing LOF/LOI
functionality.)

You understood me correctly, but the user should be able to define
several styles.

As a take-off on your idea (of warning before printing), how about a
way to check (via a menu command) if the TOC is out of sync, in
addition to the warning before printing. However, this should include
chapter TOCs as well. If your feature would work for mini-TOCs but not
text inset TOCs, I guess that would be good enough, even though I have
tons of docs that still use the text inset TOCs.

Another option would be to have a warning in the dialog box that opens
after a book update that the TOC (and maybe LOF or LOT) has changes in
chapter X, and that you should update the local TOC if one exists. This
would be enough to address my issue of headings changing pages.
Actually there is a potential problem with this solution that if you
use only three heading levels in the TOC, but use four levels in the
chapter TOC, it would be have check for that also.

Also, your idea does not address tables that have rows that move onto a
new page. I think a warning as the table rows actually move to a new
page would be a good idea for this problem.

"Repagination Warning Setup" (dialog) and whenever you add or remove
content somewhere that makes one of the paragraphs tagged with
"Heading1" on some other page move to some other page you get a

Plus: I'm just wondering right now, if a feature that automatically

Subject: Re: [Framers] "Secret" Freeze Pagination Feature

Hi Stefan,

Instead of freeze pagination, what I would like is a pagination
warning.
This feature would, when turned on, warn you when a paragraph with one
of the user-specified specified styles moves to a new page, and when
some rows of a table end up on a new page. This would be helpful when
editing a doc, so that you know when the pagination changed and the
TOC needs to be updated, or to look over the tables to see where rows
moved to a new page. For extra credit, the feature would also provide
a list of where these changes occurred. This would be a great help.
Many times after a few edits, I find myself reviewing the entire doc
to see where the headings appear and updating all the TOCs just in
case a heading, table caption or figure caption, moved to a new page.

The current feature the way it is is pretty much useless to me.

I rebooted and when prompted with the Windows 10 EULA (end-user

 "reinstall my Windows 7".
I didn't have time to wait for it so I let it do its own thing and

 Two questions:
 1. Regarding FrameMaker (I'm running FM10), am I facing any
operational or other problems or must I reinstall it? If so, that
might be a problem because I didn't "de-activate" my second license.

The html files all work well, I’ve been deleting the FM lock files en masse rather than opening FM and reset lock for each file.

Any suggestions appreciated on how to stop FM crashing at end of html process.

Hi,
This FM 12 problem is explained clearly by a posting by Veronica Kutt of Front Runner Training (I have the identical problem of files being deleted on book update, still occurs with latest patch):
FrameMaker 12 seems to be deleting files from their network drive during the Update Book function, not just the file itself, but the backup version too.
FrameMaker 10 files had been opened and re-saved as FrameMaker 12. Then, in a subsequent update of the book file, FM reported that it could not find a certain file, and the icon for that file in the book file turned into a question mark. On inspection of the folder that should contain the file, the file was gone, as was the .backup.fm version of the file. It is my assumption that this problem occurred during a book update, although it is remotely possible that the problem occurred while saving the files from Frame 10 to Frame 12.
Have you seen this?

David, it seems logical to me:
if the CC licence is for version 6, and your CS version is 6, flies
created with the cloud version won't be able to be opened with your

Where did you get that info?
If you have CS6 via a perpetual license it will still work even after canceling

Naturally, if you have CS6 via a Cloud subscription (like I do), it will stop

If you tell FrameMaker to consider case, then you'd have to do
*separate* searches for italic and Italic (and for ITALIC or

searching for italic return results for *any* instance of those 6

Re: switch between 8.5x11 and A4 sized pages within the same book?

2013-02-21 Thread Grant Hogarth

Hello Lise;
There are two (IMO) better solutions than two full books.

One is to use a universal page (11.5 x 7.5 in ) --short enough to fit
on US Letter; narrow enough for A4. The downside is that you will end up
with extra white space (LR on US, TB on A4). OTOH, you can print the
PDF anywhere.

The other is to define two templates (one for each paper size), and then
generate two PDFs (applying the other template between generation).

This manual originated for a US-made product so it started life with
8.5x11 (US-letter size) pages. And it didn't even occur to me that it
might need to be A4-sized for the European market.

Is there a good way to switch back and forth between A4 and 8.5x11
page sizes, depending on which version of a book you want to print?

I have the sneaking suspicion that I will have to break this into two
separate books, but I figured I'd ask to see if anyone had
recommendations.

Job Ops: Networking technology writers

2013-01-24 Thread Grant Hogarth
Hi all! The company I have been contracting for for the past 9 months
now has some open contract positions that they want to fill
immediately. I'm posting here because they are FrameMaker jobs.

Bard (http://www.bardwrite.com/
redir.aspx?C=fc7b544926bf43e19dad21c7de1a7103URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.bardwrite.com%2f)
is looking immediately to fill a number ofpositions with writers who
haveXML experience and network security knowledge and experience in at
least some of the following areas:

 * Cloud/Network security
 * Email/Web security
 * Security policies
 * Intrusion prevention
 * Encryption
 * Authentication
 * Mobile device management
 * VPN management

On a separate requirement, Bard is looking for multiple writers with
experience doing hardware and software documentation, ideally in
networking (switching, routing, wireless, or combination), with an
emphasis on data center switching and network management. XML experience
will be a definite plus. There is also a desire for at least a couple of
writers with writing for mobile use or video-creation experience.

Obviously not everyone will have /all/this experience, but a successful
applicant will have some of it.

The other information I have at this time is that:

 * The writing will be done using FrameMakerand or XML(client-provided).
 * The client will be doing the writer selection (Bard will pass the
   qualified names/resumes to them).
 * The client is a major player in the networking world and is looking
at this being a long-term contract opportunity, running through at
least 2013. The usualcontract is six months.
 * There is currently no requirement for the writers to be on-site, so
non-US applications are welcome, provided they meet the other
   requirements.
 * Writers will start as US 1099 contractors; Bard is examining the
option of making a W2-contract available later in 2013

autonumber is Bullet. The font for the Bullet character tag was once
upon a time Zapf Dingbats but it gets remapped to Adobe Pi Std.

On my predecessor's machine, Bullet1 had a round bullet, maybe because
he had a different Zapf Dingbats, I don't know (machine has been wiped
so I can't check it). On my machine, instead of a bullet there's a
question mark.

I was unable to get font mapping to work so I hacked Adobe Pi Std to
add the bullet glyph from Zapf Dingbats BT Regular and map it to l.

If I type an l and format it with the Bullet character tag, it appears
as a bullet, but Bullet1 still has a question mark in place of a
bullet.

Suggestions?

FYI: Deal for upgrading from FM7.x to FM10 ends June 15

2012-06-05 Thread Grant Hogarth
Just got this from a friend at Adobe (I'm trying to get some clients to

Cheapest route to go is the Promo which ends June 15th, which lets
you upgrade FM7.x to FM10 at 30% of what would have been normal
cost. Before this promo you could only have updated to entire tech
comm suite. (Much more expensive.) This 30% off upgrade ends FOREVER
AND EVER AND EVER on June 15th. It will never be repeated. This is
your last chance.

I've used both, and am very happy with MIF2Go. WebWorks ePublisher

Variables and Character Formats

2012-02-04 Thread Grant Hogarth
Alison ---
A lot depends on how many variants you have. You will have to
define one for each product.
("SonixTouch", "SonixRemote", "SonixMDP", etc.), now if you want
"SonixTouch Installation" to appear that way for the chapter title page
and then appear "SonixTouch INSTALLATION" in the header, that gets a bit
tricky, as one can't nest variables in FM.
One way to do this define the header on the master page as
"<$ProductName> "
You would also define a charformat tag of "AllCaps", and set the value
of <$chaptertitlename> to "Installation"
(See attached.)

Others may have other solutions (possibly better)

Re: PNG usage (was re: Recommended single-sourcing graphic file format for FM-RH)

2012-01-16 Thread Grant Hogarth
If you are talking about JPEG 2000, I would agree.
I still find that adding annotations on a JPG (unless one uses no
compression), leaves artifacts, which are especially noticeable when
they get scaled.
If you are not scaling and not annotating directly on the image, then
JPG is probably not a bad choice.
(And yes, I agree that FM needs to improve it's handling of PNG colors.
FM10 seems to have eliminated most of that problem (in that I've not
noticed it in FM 10), but I've also not pushed the limits. (I also save
in indexed PNG, which may have something to do with it.)

Many screenshots in Win 7 require gradients that JPG handles well. IMO

And since AFAIK FrameMaker still imports eleventyhundred colors with

I always vote for PNG. The files may not be the smallest, but I've
never had anything in the past decade choke on them (not
display/corrupt display (either unreadable or artifacts)/Fail (as in
 crash)).

JPEG is fine for Photos, and SVG for line graphics. PS is fine if
you've got the time to render it.
 GIF is for icons.
 BMP/WMF/EMF should be discontinued.

You may want to invest in a graphics converter. The two best (IMO)
are FastStone Image Viewer (or just Image Converter) and IrfanView.

apologize if this topic has been covered extensively somewhere (if
so, please feel free to point me to it). I have recently resumed my
Technical Writing career at a software development company that uses
FrameMaker to create its documentation. All the legacy manuals were
delivered with the products as hyperlinked PDF files (not really meant
for printing due to length, although one could do so and they are
 formatted correctly for that).

The company recently purchased TCS3, and would like to single-source
Frame files to online help using Robohelp. I have been trying to find
out what would be the best graphic file format to use for this
multi-purpose moving forward. Some background: All legacy images,
which are primarily screenshots with some flowcharts, were .tif files,
RGB color, 96 dpi (again, intended for on-screen viewing). Using TCS3
moving forward, is there a better/clear recommendation for what
graphic file format would produce the best results?

I have been searching the web for a few days and can't seem to find
any information on this particular aspect of single-sourcing using the
new TCS3. Does it not matter, i.e., does one just set up Robohelp
templates to convert .tifs to .jpgs or similar?

All information is very much appreciated. Thank you, and I am happy to
 be back to this forum!

PNG usage (was re: Recommended single-sourcing graphic file format for FM->RH)

I always vote for PNG. The files may not be the smallest, but I've
never had anything in the past decade choke on them (not display/corrupt
display (either unreadable or artifacts)/Fail (as in crash)).

JPEG is fine for Photos, and SVG for line graphics. PS is fine if
you've got the time to render it.

GIF is for icons.
BMP/WMF/EMF should be discontinued.

You may want to invest in a graphics converter. The two best (IMO) are
FastStone Image Viewer (or just Image Converter) and IrfanView.

I've politely pointed out that industry best practice is to

FWIW, I found that there was not a terribly steep learning curve for

Re: Tool to convert jpeg files to text

There is no text component to JPEG files, so your best bet is to
run them through an optical character recognition (OCR) program or send
them out to have them transcribed by a service that does that type of
work. You *might* be able to PDF them and use Acrobat's OCR facility,
but I've not had the best luck with that route.

Hi Framers,

I've read a few threads on this in the archives but didn't get how
they could help solve this problem.

Using FM 9.0p255 on a virtual PC, Windows 7, via Parallels.

I have a set of well-established files on an external HD that I take
between home and office to work on the files regularly. Yesterday,
one file generated the dreaded unknown file type error and nothing
seemed to open it. Because I'd had a modem power supply go bad around
the same time as I last worked on this file (at home), I accepted the
corruption and was able to restore the content from other sources
into a new file.

Today, a different file that was fine yesterday afternoon at home now
generates the same unknown file type error at the office. And this
file I don't relish reconstructing. The result is the same whether I
double-click from the Mac, open from the Windows desktop or folder,
or choose FileOpen in Frame. From the Mac side it looks like the
permissions are OK; don't know how to check that on the PC side.

I'm concerned that the problem is random and could affect any file at
any time--I can't back up every file every minute without seriously
slowing down my/the computer's efficiency and compromising my
already-tight deadline.

Are there any solutions to this problem? Something I missed or
misunderstood in the archives?

Thanks for any insight,
Karen

Apologies for incomplete/distorted information.

I'm using a demo version of TCS 3.5 (FM 10.0.1.408 RH 9.0.1.262) on
Windows Vista (fully patched).

I'm trying to split on FM styles heading 1 and heading 2.
The formats are mapped.

I selected Pagination, and then after clicking Edit Style, I
selected Format Paragraph New Page.

In response to:

Jeff Coatsworth:
That should work - you're sure that the FM doc has Heading1 as its paragraph
format? What versions of FM and RH are you using?

Bill Swallow:
I see a disconnect here. You mention Level1 Head and Heading1. Are
these formats mapped? Also, which versions of the tools are you using?
Part of TCS?

Question on FF - RH conversion

2011-10-17 Thread Grant Hogarth

I'm trying to move a FM book to RH to produce Eclipse Help output.
Where I'm breaking my brain is on trying to get the RH import to split
off a new topic at each Level1 Head.
I've set the import (.isf) file to paginate on Heading1, but that does
not seem to split the files as desired.

What am I missing?
(or do the FM files need to be split from chapters into 1-page topics
separately?)

Thanks!
Grant

Question on FF -> RH conversion

2011-10-17 Thread Grant Hogarth
Apologies for incomplete/distorted information.

I'm using a demo version of TCS 3.5 (FM 10.0.1.408 & RH 9.0.1.262) on
Windows Vista (fully patched).

I'm trying to split on FM styles "heading 1" and "heading 2".
The formats are mapped.

I selected "Pagination", and then after clicking "Edit Style", I
selected Format> Paragraph> New Page.
===
In response to:

Jeff Coatsworth:
That should work - you're sure that the FM doc has "Heading1" as its paragraph
format? What versions of FM and RH are you using?

Bill Swallow:
I see a disconnect here. You mention "Level1 Head" and "Heading1". Are
these formats mapped? Also, which versions of the tools are you using?
Part of TCS?

Re: screwy x-ref formatting

All I can think of is that you are missing a DefaultParaFont (or
\) at the end of the reference string.

I can't narrow the problem down to any specific xref format, and I

Blue$paratext /on page $pagenum

When I update the x-ref, it behaves properly. But when I update all
x-refs in the book, it reverts to the all-blue look.

I've had enough problems with certain font files getting corrupted that

Normally you cannot write to files in the program files folder
structure, but if you try to do so, the system may write the file to a
»VirtualStore« folder structured which is created in

C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore
As a result, you may have three copies of the maker.ini. I am not
sure, how applications that were published before Windows 7 handle
that VirtualStore. You should compare the different versions if you
find anything that gives you a hint. Well, the version in

C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\9
is not a complete version, it just contains additional settings or
overrides to the settings in the installation folder maker.ini.

As you already guessed, something has definitely changed on your
system, and if it is nothing FrameMaker-related it could well be
something regarding the logged-in user, maybe some hidden changes to
the user rights?

I would:
1. Update FrameMaker 9 to 9.0p245 (which is the latest version).
2. Give the current user Administrator rights. If you think the last
action is too much, then allow the current user to change the
FrameMaker installation folder.

Re: Link a colored background to a section of text so it moves as the doc flow changes?

2011-08-24 Thread Grant Hogarth
There are two ways to do this that I know of in FM.
1) create a graphic of the backing color block, place a text rectangle
over it, and anchor the two together. You'll need to put it in an
in-line anchored frame.
2) create a one-cell table, color the background, and insert your text
Each has advantages and disadvantages. I'd try one of each, and then
test all your downstream mods (HTML, PDF, XML, etc.) to see what causes
the fewest problems.

I have a document with a section of text. The section includes a
 header, followed by several paragraphs.

Is there a way that I can link a colored graphic to this section of
text? Design requires a colored graphic behind this section.
Pagination can change as content changes, but this section is always
the last section in the document. Content of this section is fairly
stable, so adjusting the size of the colored background would be a
 very occasional task.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

Drag the pod off to the side so it is a child window.
You can also move the sub-pieces of the pods around to assemble a

For a while, when I opened either catalog, it would stay open and stay on top

How do I make it stay open?

Framers,

I'm trying to get an index to format entries in a special manner. I
can get a page number to bold in a list of entries without a problem.
However, I also want to bold the entry itself. When I do this, I
get 2 separate entries in the index.

For example, here's my desired output:

*Adams, Geoffrey* 3, *5*

Here's how FrameMaker formats the index:

*Adams, Geoffrey* 5
Adams, Geoffrey* 3*
*
*

My entries look as follows:

Adams, Geoffrey[Adams, Jeff]Bold

BoldAdams, Geoffrey[Adams, Jeff]/BoldBold

I've tried several variations of these. I can get the page number
entry to bold using the first method. However, if I try to bold the
entry itself, it'll end up as 2 entries in the index from the other
entries that are not bolded. I can make the bolding with a
FrameScript, just thought I'd check to see if someone's got this to work.

Thanks,

Brad
