[Audyssey] Mach 1 tts

2009-05-31 Thread Kevin Weispfennig

Hi jim,

That is one of your first best games! Awesome! Thank you verry mutch! I have
been waiting for sutch a game. I mean top speed is awesome too, But thats
something verry different. Top Speed is a verry different game then your
Mach 1. I mean, I was used to the old mach 1. I thought that was cool. But,
this one is tripple or fourth times cooler than the mach 1 self voicing,
Really. Is it possible to add multiplayer support to it?

Just a question. That would make it even more Awesome!

Kevin

2009-05-31 Thread Jim Kitchen

Hi Kevin,

Thank you very much. I'm very glad that you like Mach 1 tts so much better
than Mach 1 v6c. I've had a few years of learning stuff like DirectX for
sounds, keyboard and joystick since Mach 1 v6c. So I also think that Mach 1
tts is much better than Mach 1 v6c.

If you mean multi player on line like Top Speed, No, I'm sorry, but I have no
idea how to do that. If you mean other dummy cars like Mach 1 v6c, I might put
that in a future version.

Thanks again and BFN

Re: [Audyssey] online game

2009-05-31 Thread dark

Hi.

If you go to www.audiogames.net, you can search the big games list by
type, - including rpgs.

Sinse I'm only just starting out with muds myself (and having miner
trouble), I'll leave that matter to the more experienced people on list,
however for rpgs, i can highly recommend www.sryth.com, and
http://www.metroplexity.com/login.php

If your a text rpg fan, there are also some fantastic sites which provide
online playable gamebooks, with quests, items, and combat.

In particular I can recommend http://www.ffproject.com/

http://www.projectaon.org/new.htm and http://www.arborell.com/

There are many, many others, and generally it depends upon what you
like, player combat? quests? or random elements.

Hth.

Beware the Grue!

Hi Marsha,

I know you can play with monkeys on the hearts tables. They're really quite
smart and talented, all things considered. However, I'm pretty sure you
won't have bots on the holdem tables. May be wrong, though.

2009-05-31 Thread Nick Helms
Thanks for all your thoughts Shaun.
I totally agree with you.
Ok, we’re totally recording it and putting it up on BCT.
That’s a must. If we do it as some sort of live stream, I don’t want
people who weren’t able to make it not being able to gain axcess to
the information.
As far as making it in to several parts, really, all we need to do is
demonstrate the flying aspect of it. We might also go over some
commonly used terms, teach the language of aviation.
Really, that wouldn’t take long.
So I think we’re gonna stick with one part. But a lot of our method of
doing flight sim is self-explanitory, and everyone is totally more
then welcome to send any questions to me or skype me.
I’ll keep the list updated.
Best,

[Audyssey] LWorks big surprise

2009-05-31 Thread Liam Erven
Right now, the big thing is e3. The Electronic entertainment expo. It's a
week long event where the big video games developers announce their new
products for the year. In honor of that or at least sort of, LWorks will
have a surprise coming sometime on friday June fifth. I'm not saying
anything about what it is. But it'll be a surprise. Visit l-works.net on
friday to find out what it is. Of course, I'll be posting a message to the
list when what ever the surprise appears.

No. But we could broadcast it on like a shoucast server and we could
take emails while it was being played. But as of now, it's a recorded
podcast.

I am just wondering if I've missed Neil's podcast on the way he has made
the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 accessible because I have been away
for

a few days, and when I checked my backlog of email messages, I didn't
see
anything about that.

[Audyssey] Core Exiles

2009-05-31 Thread Shadow Dragon
figured I'd toss this out there for all those interested in space
exploration. I'm not sure how long it'll keep me interested, but I'm sure
plenty of people on here will find it entertaining at least. Pasted directly
from the main page.

What is Core Exiles?
Core Exiles is a PBBG based Epic Space game. We are still in a BETA phase at
the moment but are always looking for new player / testers. You play the
part of the Captain of a small vessel cast out into the Galaxy to make your
fame and fortune. Unlike many browser based games CE is a persistent game
and therefore does not reset every few months.

Currently Core Exiles contains 5 Galaxies, 160 System, 690 Planets and
Starbases and over 1,960 in game items. Many of these items can be crafted
in game or you can choose to buy them from fellow players or in game NPC run
stores.

What can I do in Core Exiles?
Well there's plenty to do don't worry about that. From being a Hauler and
running trade Missions for the smaller or larger haulage companies in the
game, whether that be to a local system or the far side of the next Galaxy!

Why not move Passengers? With over 15,000 passengers in the CE Galaxy all
wanting to go somewhere you'll never be short of finding a customer for your
cabins.

Try your hand at being a true Privateer and fit shields, scanners and a
weapon or two of your choice. Try out your hand at combat and see if you
have what it takes. With over 1,900 ship types to attack and Pirates from
here to the distant Galaxies you'll never be left stranded for something to
shoot at.

Don't forget the loot! With over 300 various items that can be looted from
your combat victories you'll be pondering over what cargo expander to
purchase next!

But combats not all that makes a game. There is also a very strong Crafting
side to Core Exiles. There are now well over 300 Schematics enabling you
with the right skills, resources and determination to build a wide range of
the items in game.

Of course Crafters need resources; Did we mention that Core Exiles enables
you to collect, mine and refine a multitude of resources. You can mine from
asteroid fields or deploy Planetary Extractors to build up a wealth in
resources.

Trading is a large part of most games and the Player Driven economy Core
Exiles is no different. Most items can be traded player to player or why not
place them on the in game Player Market. Crafters, Miners, Resource
Collectors, Privateers they all need items and this is where you can openly
trade them.

You Finished?
Hell No; Core Exiles goes on and on. Mining Drones, Combat Drones,
Factories, Player Malls, Commercial Stores, Rare Refineries, RAID targets,
New Player owned Settlements, A skills system, Crystal Crafting, Implants,
Internal Game Email, Weapons, Shields, Cargo expanders, Propulsion units,
Energy units, Ship based Systems.

You Finished Now?
N! Over 500 NPC Missions to get your teeth in too. 98 different Player
style ships to work your way through as you level through the game. 68
different store types to be found on over 300+ Promenades to go visit and
shop at.

OK I'm not finished but I'm sure you get the picture. We are constantly
developing the game, if you get stuck you can always pose a question to our
team of CSA's through the in game 'Ask a question system'. We also have a
player community forum and an IRC channel for help and support as well.

Core Exiles is always evolving and whats great is even after we go live Core
Exiles will still be FREE to play. Sure you'll be able to purchase some
special items should you wish to but the game will remain free.

That's probably the biggest features list I've seen in a space exploration
game. It differs from the planetary conquest type of thing most of them
have, and actually caught my attention. Hope to see you guys there, this one
looks like it could be fun.

Re: [Audyssey] Core Exiles

2009-05-31 Thread dark

Sounding rather like ashes of angels used to be before it went under.

I like the idea of more npc missions etc, as well as the basic rtrading and
what not.

My only question is exactly how much of the game is real exploration, ie,
reading interesting text about your location or mission or whatever, and how
much devolves into basic number crunching.

the only method I suppose is to look and see.

Beware the Grue!
