Re: [Audyssey] Shades of doom audio review.
Hi Lori. Don't know if my message got through, but just wanted to congratulate you on a really good review, I hope to see more like it. In your initial message you said you worked for Sense Scotland, so I guess my offer to introduce you to text based and RPG titles wasn't exactly what you were looking for? However, having said that I do have vast experience with a lot of audio titles, once I've figured out how to do my own recordings I might well submit my own reviews for games I particularly enjoy. With that in mind, would you mind sharing with us how you recorded your review, I particularly want to be able to record from my PC's sound card yet use my headset's microphone for actually doing the voice over to the game. Let me know if you can help, Ibrahim. -Original Message- From: Lori Duncan Sent: Sunday, December 09, 2012 2:04 AM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Shades of doom audio review. Hi Lori, Yes the part I pasted was way down at the bottom of the message rather than at the top. I did run your review through Gold Wave and it almost completely reduced the buzz. But it also distorted your voice. Maybe you could record on battery for an hour until it runs down instead of on aC. Hi Charles, I used soundtap audio recorder from NCh Software, sadly you have to pay for it, think it's about $29. I know the game was louder at the start, I seem to have trouble speaking louder over main menus, I suppose it's all about practice. :) -- From: "Charles Rivard" Sent: Saturday, December 08, 2012 8:19 PM To: "Gamers Discussion list" Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Shades of doom audio review. Re: [Audyssey] Shades of doom audio review.
Hi Lori. Congrats on a great little review, though I found the buzzing really distracting unfortunately, so you might want to look in to why that is happening. Shades of Doom was one of my favourite accessible games back in the day and I do from time to time still play it. I am an avid gamer, I particularly enjoy action/rpg games and also text based interactive fiction, fighting fantasy and some though not all combat and stat building games.. I'm in the UK too so feel free to write me off list, perhaps we could become good friends. All the best, Ibrahim. -Original Message- From: Bryan Peterson Sent: Saturday, December 08, 2012 6:57 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Shades of doom audio review.
