[Audyssey] Night of Parasites?
Hey, I did an update of my audiogames collection to see if I would like any of the new ones, and Avast flagged Night of Parasites as a virus. Anyone have any ideas if this is the case? Thanks. its not a virus, its the chinese installer. if you turn off avast then install the game it will work fine. there was an installer round i made of nop but its not up there anymore fright now maybeone someone has it but minesweeper will have the same result. I have made the author aware of innosetup though so maybe he will change his installer at some point. My best tip is to bepatient, read the documentation (the controls are a bit unusual but not difficult when you get used to them after a while, and the concept of the game itself is nothing difficult to learn but can be a little pain to master) and try to get around on your own at first. I didn't get the file either, even without an active virus checker or firewall. I am beginning to think that the issue has something to do with a specific property of the file not being liked by international systems, that is with different local settings from English or Chinese, or something along these lines, but that's just a vague and weak idea. Hi. Yeah, to install it, the installer isn't english, so you have to hit alt+n like 5 times after you open the file, and then hit alt+f. Hi Linzy. You might want to check it's audiogames.net entry page, sinse I wrote up a litle mini manual as the manual of the game takes a bit of reading given translation rom chinese. I won't give you any exploration tips or anything walkthrough like before you even start, but don't get discouraged at combat, it takes a bit of getting used to, and remember that the look keys are your friends. I'm also a big fan of using coordinates to remember locations that are confusing, such as which dor I may or may not have entered. hth, and enjoy he game. Beware the Grue! Well, it doesn't have a trogion Michael, but this isn't the first I heard of AVG deciding innocuous programs are viruses, - with me it randomly deleted winamp plugins, and the games from Klango. I do also wonder if it stopped the download, sinse the person on audiogames.net forums who had a similar problem couldn't download the game either. I'm afraid this is why i stopped using AVG, and other than changing antivirus programs, i don't particularly have any suggestions. Beware the Grue! Hi I downloaded the game and must say I think it's pretty dang good so far. I have however managed to get myself somewhat stuck on the first chapter. I'm currently level 3 and have walked around the woods retrieveing the items, been into the hall and the other two rooms. However I don't seem to have picked up anything to help me get through the door in the north. I've acquired two keys neither of which seem to help Any suggestions are welcome as I have tried the keys on the container in the small room, and the north door in the corridor. Everything is there. Use control plus enter to double check if you picked up all items. Hi Ryan When you are on say I think it's the tools using the s/w keys. Then you need to switch and use e/d to cycle through the one's you are carrying in order to use them. Obviously highlighting the one you wish to use. Hello everyone. I went to download this game and got a warning that it was infected with a trojan. I thought I'd take a slight chance and disable AVG's web shield but find that I can't download the game at all. Does anybody have any news regarding this? Did you try write clicking on the link and selecting save target as, if you are using internet explorer, and save link as, I think, if you are using firefox? Hi Jeremy. I've now got the game downloading but it's very slowly coming in. I think I might have to leave the computer on all night to get it. I had to disable the web shield of avg8 in order to download it at all. That doesn't bother me. The resident shield will catch anything nasty when I run the file. I hope Francis is able to have the game posted on a place where it can be downloaded faster.
