Hi Clemment.

DanZ actually setup a full page of downloads of hist stuff, so you can just
grab them from audiogmaes.net or anywhere else.

See http://audiogames.net/db.php?id=superdeekout for details and the
download link.

Beware the grue!

Re: [Audyssey] super deekout

2011-04-03 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Kevin,

Yes, you can get Super Deecout to run on Windows 7, but you have to
install the DirectX 8 components for Visual Basic 6. Namely dx8vb.dll
which does not ship with Windows 7 or the latest DirectX
redistribution packages. That's why you are getting that error.

The best way to resolve this problem is to grab Jim Kitchens Winkit
setup which appears to have a complete Visual Basic 6 runtime
including dx8vb.dll. Once you install that and reboot games like Super
Deecout should work with no problem. Its just a matter of restoring
the missing Visual Basic libraries Microsoft ripped out of Windows 7
when they officially dropped Visual Basic support a couple years back.

Hi Sabrina,
Have you tried the registration patch for Super Deecout that was
provided by Dan before DanZ Games closed? If not I recommend you head
to my web site
http://www.usagamesinteractive.com
and go to the free games page. Once there Find Super Deecout, and
download the patch for it. What you do is copy that patch to your
Super Deecout installation folder and run the patch. It will register
the game, and you will not need your key to do it any longer.

Hi. I made an autoit script that does that for me. The invisible thing.
I like that.
I just run the script first before I run the game. The script stays active
until I close it.

Hello gamers
firstly, I just want to tell you all that I have now purchased myself a
bluetooth keyboard which I use on my mobile.
so now its much easier to type a message on my phone. its such a schlep to
type using my phone's numpad as each number contains more than one letter.

i HAVE DISCOVERED AN EASY WAY TO USE THE INVISIBLE CHEET IN SUPER DEEKOUT.
THIS IS DONE BY CREATING A SIMPLE JAWS SCRIPT.
STEP 1: LAUNCH SUPER DEEKOUT BUT DON'T SELECT START game yet. .
2. press insert plus f2 followed by s and press enter.
3. press control plus end to go to the bottom of the script file.
4. press control plus e to create a new script.
5. in the script name field type invisible.
6. press tab once and press spacebar.
7. in the next two fields you can write a synopsis and description of what
the script do.
8. press alt plus a and press the letter i or any easy key you want to
ASSIGN TO THE SCRIPT and press enter.
9. press up and down arrow until you are on the blank line beneath the
line with the script name in it.

10. press control plus i for the function dialogue.
11. press tab until you are in a list box. now type the words type string.
you are now on the item type string. press enter.
12. type the following in the edit field. this will be the invisible cheet
surrounded by quotes:

"zqyxg"
press enter.
13. press ALT PLUS F4 AND ANSWER YES TO COMPILE. IF YOU GOT ANY ERRORS GO
BACK INTO SCRIPT MANAGER AND GO THROUGH THE STEPS AGAIN.
now back in super deekout you can now start the game. if you need to be
invisible press control plus alt plus j.
control alt j will only work if you have set a keyboard shortcut to launch
jaws. if you need to know how to set a shortcut let me know.
the arrow keys in the game does not work if jaws is active, so therefore
you have to unload jaws to move your CHARACTER. SO TO BECOME INVISIBLE
EASILY LAUNCH JAWS AND PRESS I OR WHATEVER KEYSTROKE YOU HAVE ASSIGNED
WHEN YOU CREATED THE SCRIPT AND UNLOAD JAWS AGAIN.
IF i WANT TO BE INVISIBLE FOR LONG, i LAUNCH JAWS AND PRESS I IF i HEAR
THE WARNING SOUND THAT MY INVISIBILITY IS RUNNING OUT

i HOPE THIS WILL HELP.

Hi,
I believe I had all of those games at one time or another. Like a lot of
kids of the 80's we traded games around a lot after we got tired of
them. I have most of the games I originally started out with but now and
then I would trade out games I didn't like as well for something someone

Re: [Audyssey] super deekout

2008-04-16 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Nicol,
On the contrary I rather like the fact that Super Deecout has unlimited
levels and game play. It reminds me of classic Atari 2600 games like
Space Invaders, Asteroids, Galaxian, Demon Attack, that kept throwing
enemies at you until you died.
By the general tone and nature of your message I get the impression you
have little to know experience with classic arcade games. The concept
behind a game with unlimited levels is a game you can't beat so you try
your best to get as far as you can go and get the best score humanly
possible.
For example, back in the mid 1980's I remember my mom and I tried to see
who would have the better score on Demon Attack. I can remember us
setting the game up for two player mode and blasting our way up through
level 50 or so. Each of us were good, and I lost because I jinked the
wrong way and got bombed into the next world.
The thing about games like that were so fun as the enemies kept getting
harder, faster, and deadlier that it took total control and experience
to get very far into those games. If you reached a very high level of
game play you would get huge score bonuses that made everyone else want
to top you or die in the process of trying.
Even in one on one games there was some thrill in trying to get a better
score than your last game. If you got whiped out with only 5 points
your next game you will play until you have 50001 points.

Re: [Audyssey] super deekout

2008-04-16 Thread Ron Schamerhorn
Hi

Obviously you've never played many authentic arcade games. These would
include Pac-man, Asteroids, and others.
The games never actually ended. You would continue to shoot aliens, beat
up the bad guys or whatever.
By all means I hope the game doesn't become beatable as then it would
loose the arcade feel it has. Besides the objective is to play better the
next time then I did before, I'm competing against myself.

Hi all
Now that I know for certain that super deekout is unbeatable I want to give
my 2 cents view. Please be aware that I'm only giving input to damion in
case he plans to work on super deekout, I'm not complaining at all. I'm very
greatful that dan has made super deekout available for free before he is
closing down his site. I feel super deekout should be beatable. Its ok to
keep the number of levels unlimited but at least enable us to destroy one on
one bot completely.
One on one bot is a robot not a ghost. Its impossible for any robot to
generate each time he is destroyed. A robot is only a piece of machinery
that acts like a human. There is no ghost inside a robot that let him
generate, or at least not what I'm aware of.
If you feel one on one should not be able to be destroyed, that it should
generate each time you kill him, then alter the manual accordingly.
Such as: one on one bot has a ghost who enables him to generate, who
prevents him from being destroyed. Firstly, I can't understand why the
gaming community needs games that can't be beaten. For me I have the biggest
satisfaction if I can beat a game. And secondly if one on one is only a
robot it should be destroyable after killing it several times.
And let me tell you all, if it can be done, it will not make the game too
easy as using oil slicks is not that easy.
So keep the levels unlimited but just please enable us to destroy one on one
bot.
It doesn't make sense to me why one on one bot can't be destroyed. Once
again, it's a robot not a ghost.

Yes. The game just keeps getting harder indefinitely. There's no end to it.
It's a classic arcade game in that sense.

[Audyssey] super deekout

2008-04-15 Thread 0722001794
HI all
Let me rephrase the question I asked earlier on. I just wanted to know if super
deekout is a game you can finish/beat or is it non ending with unlimited
levels that gets harder and harder until it becomes impossible?
Can anyone remember light cars from lighttechinteractive? It has unlimited
levels and it gets harder and harder until the cars comes at you with such a
speed that its impossible to play, its a game you can't beat.
I just wanted to know if super deekout is also unbeatable.
something in the manual gave me a slight indication that the game might be
unbeatable. it says: complete as many levels as possible.
I tried to view the deekout scores but I get an error.
I've tried contacting [EMAIL PROTECTED] but I haven't got a response yet.
Dark said dan offers limited e-mail support until he closes his site down in
june. here is the steps I took to try and view scores.
1. I hit www.danzgames.com.
2. I clicked on the link top super deekout scores.
3. I clicked on easy.
and this is the error I'm getting
Warning: mysql_connect() [
function.mysql-connect]:
Access denied for user 'danzgame'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in
/home/danzgame/public_html/view_scores.php on line 15
Unable to connect
can anyone please advise me what this error means and if its possible in
another way to view scores? I've tried sending my score but the game told me my
score is too low. Next I want to revisit the statement I made earlier about the
oil slicks. the cheet which I mentioned only happened to me once. It didn't

Hi,

On normal difficulty so far I managed to get 76 some points. I want to
try for the 200 points because once I reach that, then I will have my
own cheats file. I have to have something to accomplish, right?

[Audyssey] super deekout impressions

2008-04-14 Thread 0722001794
Hi all
ON the one hand it is sad that dan is leaving the gaming community but on the
other hand its kind of him to make his games available for free.
Here is some impressions that might be helpfull to damion if he decides to
work on super deekout.
spoiler
space
Its very easy to actually cheet in the game and it spoils everything. At the
start of level1 if you press s you get an amount of oil slicks and it also
sometimes happens that more than one special item is available to pick up.
the oil slicks is only suppose to show up once you have picked up the
experiment pieces in the descending order.
and only one special item is suppose to show up for each 3 coins you pick up.
It happened that the moment i pressed s at the start of level1 there was 3
special items beeping to pick up.
the keystrokes that activates cheet codes should not have such easy
keystrokes. People are only suppose to be able to cheet if they got a score
of 2 million on normal. I'm only playing on easy. I only got as far as level6.
Btw i wonder if the game has a number of levels like trupenum and pipe or does
it have unlimited levels like light cars. the reason why i pressed s: i just
wanted to hear what sound the game will play if there is no special item of a
kind.
super deekout should have a practice mode where you can practice picking up
coins. pipe2 have a practice mode where you fit pipes without enemies. It took
me much time to get used to the concept of picking up coins and enemies makes
it difficult to practice picking up coins. Once I have a bit of practice in
picking up coins without the thread of enemies I will be more ready for the
robot. Sometimes i battle to hear when a coin is centered.
I'm very greatful that dan has made super deakout available for free. this is
just suggestions in case damion decide to work on it. I just thought my
impressions will help him.
for starters, it would mean a lot if damion can set up a score server for us
to post our scores even if it means that we pay him a fee to be able to post
scores because we can only post to the dan z server until june when the site is
closing down. Is there anyone else who would be able to set up a score server?
since damion plans to work on super deakout he need to be the one who set up a
score server because the game is programmed to post scores to dan z games'
server currently so to post to a diferent server would mean that that part
should be adjusted in the source code. I doubt if its possible to post to
another score server without instructing the game in the source code what the
server is.

***Super Deekout Cheats and Easter Eggs

Keep in mind that when you use an easter egg or cheat, you cannot post
the score from that game to the DanZ score server.

Type the following at the game's main menu before starting a game:
15healthlevel: Obtain health bonuses on a level, even if you lost health
doubletime12: Gives you double the standard time for obtaining time bonuses
headstart: Starts you off with special items
more22health: Start the game with more health
badbadbad: Makes nasty items appear like crazy

The following cheats are to be used during actual game play:
gemme: While paused, spawns a good item for you to pick up
ok88ok: Makes a bonus round after you beat the current level
86van: Causes all robot bullets to vanish
zqyxg: Makes you invisible
no7xall: Causes smashing into walls not to take off health or points
241good: Dispatches two good items instead of one

Hi Ryan,

Personally, I would like you not too. there is nothing stopping you from
doing so though. the best thing is for people to contact you off list to
request this info. if you do decide to, please put spoiler space before your
posting. One letter per line. This gives a person the ability to not read
the message if they don't want to.

I am going to get the game later and try it myself. so that is why I don't
want them.

[Audyssey] super deekout

2008-04-10 Thread jeh
Hi,

Well, it will be awhile before I reach 200 points in super deekout
normal difficulty level. It's hard as ever to even get to level 3 or four!
How do I or how can I tell where one of those bad level dropping items is
at?

[Audyssey] super deekout helpful tips

2008-04-10 Thread jeh
Hi,

I have some tips I found in the manual. they are not really tips, but key
commands that may help get you more points.
1. pressing letter m turns off and on whether you hear all coins or just a
certain number of coins to target. so, if I start the game and as soon as my
level1 starts, quickly hit m1: I will only hear the nearest coin that can be
targeted. This helps me get more coins in a shorter amount of time, rather
than hearing all 20 some coins at once. pressing t lets you hear the elapsed
time, shift speaks your current score and h or y I think speaks the current
high score for that level. Oh yeah!
alt page-up, and alt page-down, turns up and down the volume of the music.
it helps to really read the manual before you play.

Hi,

Ok my latest high score on super deekout is: 1693195 points! I'm gunna play
later tonight to see if i can reach 200 points to get the cheats file.
Those bullets are pretty easy to avoid on easy difficulty. Or, I better read

cheats...

Hmmm, I've read the manual and checked the game options. There's certainly
the ability to turn all music off, but no volume controls for music that
I've noticed thus far, unless they were in an update to the game which
didn't make it into the documentation somehow.

as I said, it's a bit disappointing in this respect because I always play
audio games with music, even if as in something like treasuremania, I
need to turn the volume down a bit.

Beware the Grue!

Hi Dark,
Actually, I believe SD does have a volume control for the music. For the
life of me I can't remember what it is at the moment.
However, I really doo like the music, and you are right that the sound
doesn't quite sound correct when trying to locate coins.

Ah Josh, it'spretty pathetic thus far.

one trouble I do have with the game is the pitch change sound used to
indicate vertical position of coins or the robot is rather quiet.

usually I always play audio games with music because I like the atmosphere,
but in superdeakout, I'm finding the music just a bit too loud and would
very much like a way of turning it down, rather than off.

I'll also admit, I've never been great at that sort of game, but it's a very

Hi Josh,
No. The patches are fine. You don't even need to run register because
the patch turns off the expiration for the demos.

If I knew what the site is, I'd go look. But I'm not sure.

anyway, good luck. Hope you find them.

[Audyssey] Super deekout?

2008-02-17 Thread James Scholes
Hi all, I ordered Super Deekout yesterday, and have received an email telling
me that my order has been received, the payment has been accepted, and that I
will soon receive the licence code from DanZGames. However, I have not as yet
received the code, so my question is, how long does it usually take for licence
codes to be sent out?

No the item neutraliser doesn't work on the rockets. The way to get 2
million on normal difficulty is to keep being knocked down a level; on level
7 let the robot pick up the nasty items until you drop down. That way you
can rack up more points without encountering the rocket.

Damien.
