TRANSPORT SECY NAMES N GOA COLLECTOR: The Election Commission of India has
appointed Transport secretary, Amit Yadav, an IAS officer as the new North
Goa district collector and returning officer for the North Goa parliamentary
constituency. Two days ago, Election Commissioner BB Tandon had asked the
State government to immediately replace SS Keshkamat as the district
collector and returning officer of the Lok Sabha elections for the North Goa
constituency as he was on extension of service. (H)

EC PROBE TEAM COMING: A two-member committee headed by Dr PC Kapoor,
Secretary (Health), Government of India, is arriving in Goa tomorrow (March
28) to hold an independent inquiry into the episode of spying on opposition
members in the State. (GT)

PANJIM FEELS THE PINCH AFTER TALEIGAO DELINKS: The delinking of Taleigao
from the jurisdiction of Panjim seems to have cost the Corporation of the
City of Panaji dearly. The loss has been calculated at approximately Rs.1
crore. This was clearly indicated in a balanced budget presented and
approved by the Corporation for the year 2004-5. Last year the PMC had
presented a Rs.11.75 crore budget. This year, however, the budget revenue
and expenditures have been balanced to the tune of Rs.10.46 crore. (H)

HEATED DEBATE WITNESSED AT CCP MEET: The meeting of the first Budget
Estimates of the Corporation of City of Panaji for 2004-05 witnessed a
heated debate over various issues besides the budget. Two councilors, Ms
Patricia Pinto and Ms Ruth Furtado, raised questions over why the
Corporation should shoulder the burden of making payments to architects
engaged by the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation for the work
of the International Film Festival of India when GSIDC had kept the
Corporation completely in the dark over IFFI project. (NT)

TWO TRAWLERS DESTROYED IN ALDONA FIRE: Two fishing trawlers, parked along
the river at Aldona-Carona were completely destroyed, when a fire broke out
this evening. Three fire tenders were pressed into service to extinguish the
fire. (NT)

WOMAN'S BODY RECOVERED IN VASCO: Vasco police have recovered a dead body of
an unknown woman from the Old Vegetable Market on Thursday evening. (NT)

ARCHBISHOP CALLS FOR CAMPAIGN AGAINST HUNGER, DISEASE: The following is a
message of the Archbishop on Campaign against Hunger and Disease: We are,
by now, well integrated into the spirit of the Holy Season of Lent-a time
when we are called in a very special way to introspect sincerely and reflect
deeply on the meaning and the purpose of God's precious gift of each human
life. Most of us know that this Archdiocese is full-heartedly involved with
Caritas India in the campaign of the Church against Hunger and Disease
dedicating the Fifth Sunday in Lent to this cause. This year, the theme is
Give us, today, our daily rice! (NT)

CONG MAY MOVE THE GOVERNOR FOR DISMISSAL OF STATE GOVT: The Congress is
likely to submit a memorandum to Governor Kidar Nath Sahani today demanding
the dismissal of the BJP-led government for spying on the activities and
movements of opposition members and blatant violation of model code of
conduct for the coming Lok Sabha polls. (GT)

TWO CR INDIVIDUALS GET INSURANCE COVER: The Life Insurance Corporation of
India has extended the insurance protection to more than 2 crore individuals
in the current financial year, by 15 March 2004. (GT)

HMS GLOUCESTER CALLS ON GOA: The Royal Navy's Anti-Air Warfare Destroyer
HMS Gloucester came alongside at Mormugao Port Trust's berth number eight
at about 3 pm yesterday. The state-of-the-art vessel will remain in port for
a fortnight before hading out to sea to participate in Exercise Varuna.
(GT)

TALEIGAO SARPANCH, DY ELECTED: Jannu Mahadev Rosario and Elsa D'Cunha were
unanimously elected as sarpanch and deputy sarpanch respectively of Taleigao
panchayat on March 26. Jannu's name was proposed by Jennifer Monserrate,
wife of Town and Country Planning Minister and Taleigao MLA Atanasio
Monserrate and seconded by Candid Dias. (H)

USE PHONES TO WIN OVER VOTES: For the next few weeks, the usual Hello in a
phone call could well be followed by Vote BJP. The IT-savvy Chief
Minister, Manohar Parrikar, has now requested party workers to phone friends
and relatives residing in other parts of South Goa and to convince them to
vote the BJP candidate to power. Tell them that you and many others have
decided unanimously to vote BJP and see that your relative or friend votes
for the BJP. Take care that the phone call does not exceed

[Goanet]Peace in Goa

2004-03-26 Thread Gilbert Lawrence
I would like to second the calls to let Goans live in peace and
agreement ... and. let our (Goan) history continue to be in
bewilderment.

However, while we live in harmony and blissfully unaware, others are
writing our Goan history. And in some situations we accept as true what
the 'outside experts' have written and interpreted. This was my surprise
discovery in my research on the INQUISITION IN GOA. If you followed the
thread on the inquisition in Goa - the only response I could get from
native Goans including those who wrote about the Goan inquisition was
You come and do the research yourself. This instead of: I have not
read/ come across the specific information and hence we do not know the
answer to that very good question. =:))

However much we love our grand-mothers, our first task is to put an end
to our Grand-mother's legends! :=)) By repeating the myths / kaneos, we
provide fodder for outsiders to come in and start a fire in Goa's
community as pointed out in the recent response/ post from Tariq. So
Goans should wake up and start smelling the coffee. Gilbert

[Goanet-news]Goa related books... new

2004-03-26 Thread Frederick Noronha (FN)
Some interesting Goa/Goan-related books which I just came across in the
latest (Jan-Mar 2004) edition of *Penguin Post* published from New Delhi:

101 Folktales from India
Eunice de Souza

In every corner of India, there is a wealth of folktales, funny, fabulous
and fantastical. In this collection, Eucine de Souza brings together one
hundred and one wonderful stories, both familiar and unknown. Their
subjects are diverse -- how the world was made, how kings should rule, the
tales of wise and foolish men and women, and animal fables.

Some stories are about well-known heroes -- Akbar and Birbal, Vikram and
Betal, Tenali Raman -- which some introduce new ones, like Gulaba Khan,
the brave man from the hills, and Paramvir, the reluctant guru from Andhra
Pradesh. There are also sundry appearances by the devil, beautiful
temptresses and supernatural creatures.

This is a true collector's item, encompassing the entire range and
diversity of the oral tradition in different parts of the country, and
with bold and vivid illustrations by Sujata Singh.

Goa, and the Blue Mountains
Or, Six Months of Sick Leave

Richard F Burton (Reprint)

First one gentleman chastised his spouse, then another, and then another.
To judge by the ear, the fair ones did not receive the discipline with
that patience, submission, and long suffering which Eastern dames are most
apocryphally believed to practise.

... and so goes this one-of-a-kind travelogue. Victorian explorer Richard
Burton is best known for his translation of the *Kama Sutra* and his
writings on Africa and West Asia -- but his first book, published in 1851,
was *Goa, and the Blue Mountains*.

After he was expelled from Oxford for unruly behaviour, Burton joined the
British Indian Army and spent five happy years in Sindh before an attack
of cholera sent him south of the Nilgris. Ever obsessed with discovery, he
renounced the comforts of a steamer to amble down the coast in a pattimar.

Burton was no cloistered bara sahib; he was a master linguist who studied
Arabic at Oxford and went on to learn Gujarati, Marathi, Persian, Telugu,
Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashto and Portuguese.

Yet he was a man of his time, and a curmudgeonly with in the bargain. No
one escapes his nit-picking gaze: the Portuguese or mestizos of Goa, the
Hindus or Muslims of Malabar, the Todas or -- certainly not -- the British
of the Nilgiris. He matchless drollery makes his adventures and
misadventures a hilarious and transporting read.

With an introduction by Burton-expert Dane Kennedy, the escapades of this
incorrigibly Englishman will have you laughing out loud in your train
compartment.

[Goanet]RE: Temples and Churches

2004-03-26 Thread Gilbert Lawrence
A church is not built because there is a burnt temple and surrounding
land that is available. I have previously described the physical and
religious impediments to building a church EXACTLY OVER the temple.

The church is built to meet the needs of a surrounding catholic
community. So it is very likely that after the event of 1567 (burning of
the temples and fleeing of the local Hindu population), the villages
were slowly re-populated over the next 50 years by Portuguese and
remaining natives. To meet the growing needs of the faithful, the church
was built in the village. The location of the church was most likely
dependent on the way the village expanded and grew with roads and / or
river traffic.

Thus there was no direct relation to the physical action of burning /
destruction of the Hindu temple and the building of the present Catholic
church many many decades later. Also it is very unlikely the location of
the two is on the EXACT SAME SPOT.

Much of the controversy can be ended if we do not connect the religions.
All power to Goan Hindus to build more temples and some replicas if they
so choose. They do not need anything from another religion to do so. And
the same applies to Muslims and Catholics. Regards, Gilbert

[Goanet]BJP’s ‘Closed-Door’ Campaign for Demolishing of Christian Churches in Goa.

2004-03-26 Thread Santana Afonso
Ha! What is going on in our beautiful Goa these days? Am I just dreaming in
my sleep?

A great shock to all goans living in Goa, middle east, Europe, Africa,
America and other parts of the world and as well as in India to know that CM
Manohar Parrikar and his troupe along with non-goans in the hinduvta gang,
conducting a ‘closed-door’ campaign in South Goa by adopting false promises
to peace loving goans in Goa just as the high priests of Jews did to Jesus
in crucifying him on the cross. The aforesaid ‘closed-door’ campaign is to
nail every Christian and Muslim on the cross.

Recently I was reading in the goa’s dailies that CM Manohar Parrikar and his
‘lembddo’ Deputy Digambar Kamat (Karwarcho ghanti like Timblo’s parrivar) of
Margao, with some 80 idiots conducting closed-door campaign in the minority
dominated Salcete to win votes for BJP. Instead of developing electricity in
Margao and salcete, now Digambar Kamat is thinking to develop other Salcete
villages with the help of crook CM Manohar Parrikar by false promises.

Beware my fellow goans, please do not fall into the hands of the devils who
are ready to demolish our churches in Goa which was built by the Portuguese.
These are the same peoples who once kept a bomb in the Vasco Church in Goa.
Instead of catching the culprits, they blames Pakistani ISI's and made
propaganda that ISI is behind the scene. Recently some BJP idiots carried a
rampage in St. Jose Areal Chapel too. Also they burnt the Muslim paryer
place in porvorim. Why still justice is not done so far? All goans should
watch carefully and should not fall into the prey of these stupid idiots
ruining the peace and harmony in Goa. But keep in mind that CM Manohar
Parrikar and his BJP are the number one enemy of the Christians and Muslims
in Goa and India.

Now time is ripe to open our eyes and not to bow down in front of CM Manohar
Parrikar, karwarcho ghanti Digambar Kamat and other hinduvta monsters for
their ‘closed-door’ campaign; otherwise we will be no more in our own Goa
for the coming days ahead. BJP is trying desperately by hook or crook to win
the votes in Salcete by deleting the Christians and Muslims names in the
election rolls. Last time did the same thing in whole Salcete as well in
Margao too by adding ‘ganti’ people and deleting Christian and Muslims by
Digambar Kamat and his BJP.

My Clear warning to CM Manohar Parrikar, Digambar Kamat and those who follow
them for their ‘closed-door’ campaing to demolish our churches in Goa that
bloodshed will be spilled every corner of the villages and all over Goa. Do
not under-estimate goans as succegad, they will do anything if churches are
been demolished. This is not Ayodhea to built ram temple on the demolished
mosque. Whole world is watching what is going on in Goa.. Beware!

[Goanet]MATARPON ALBUM RELEASED IN KUWAIT.

2004-03-26 Thread A. Veronica Fernandes
RELEASING OF KONKANI ALBUM – CD CASSTTE “MATARPON ”

The much awaited 11th Konkani Album “MATARPONN” by Rosary Ferns was released
at Hotel Village Inn at 8.00 p.m. on 25th March 2004 in the form of CD
Audio Cassette. Rosary Ferns is the first expatriate Goan and possibly the
first Konkani artiste to release his Audio Cassette by being in a foreign
country. He also carries the unique distinction of producing and releasing
the first ever Konkani CD and that too in Kuwait some years back during the
Mando Festival function held at Hotel Plaza organized by Kuwait Konknni
Kendr. This historic CD was released thru the hands of yet another Konkani
promoter, Konkani lover and Konkani supporter Raymond D’Sa from Apora Bardez
and in Kuwait the president of Goan Overseas Association.

The function for the release of Rosary’s 11th Album was attended amongst
others by well known Tiatrists Marcus Vaz, Bab Agnelo, Domnick Araujo,
Manuel de Santa Cruz, Ms Sandra Fernandes Bernard Fernandes. The Album was
released jointly thru the hands of Chief Guest Lawry Pinto and Guest of
Honour Frankie Sequeira, the former is the president of Youth Recreation
Centre (Rising Stars) and Gen. Sec. of prestigious Indian Arts Circle, while
the latter is the president of Bombay Boys Club and both are social worker
who volunteer to help many of the good causes in the community. The Album
“Matarponn” produced by Sinaris in Goa and dedicated by Rosary Ferns to his
brother Fidelis Fernandes with special thanks to Mickey Pacheco (Minister
for Sports and Tourism – Goa), Lawry Pinto, Frankie Sequeira and Luis
Cardoso (Kuwait Konknni Kendr). Musical score for this Album was provided by
well-known Maestro Josinho.

“Matarpon” consists of 10 songs of which 5 were played during the function.
The title song rendered by Rosary Ferns revolved around different phases of
human life leading finally to Old age. This is somewhat similar to what
Shakesphere depicted 7 stages of life in his last tragi-comedy drama “As You
Like It”. The 2nd song “Fuddar Tuzo Kor” by Naphie Rod is on her regret
over the betrayal of her lover. The 3rd rendered by Prince Jacob “Tourist”
mocks the tourism industry in Goa. The 4th “Bhau-Bhau” rendered by Bab
Andrew describes the split in the family life because of the dispute
creating daughters-in-law. The 5th “Kazari” by Rosary Ferns along with his
young niece Jessica speaks of the girls regret for unknowingly falling in
love with a married man. The 6th “Goa” by Rosary Ferns along with his singer
sister Antonette, Lawry and Andrew. describes the greatness of Goa. The
7th is the duet rendered by Jessie Dias and C. D’Silva “Inam Khoxttancho” in
which they both lament the ingratitude of their son. The 8th is the solo
“Melody King” on the late Alfred Rose in which Rosary describes Alfi’s
greatness. The 9th “Bhogsonnem” by Melody Prince Lawry describes the love
of forgiveness of a mother towards her son. The 10th by Naphie Rod on
“Vasco Portrust-an”. It was earlier rendered in Kuwait as Mando during the
Songit Sanz organized by Kuwait Konknni Kendr a year back. It is a very
romantic song and one does not get tired to listen to this song and moreover
it was very nicely rendered by Naphie Rod with her mellifluent voice. The
other songs which earlier rendered in Kuwait were Matarpon during the same
Songit Sanz and it was acclaimed as the best in that Songit Sanz. Later on
it was also rendered during the last Goa Day Function held at IAC Funaitees
by Goan Welfare Society; it was done on kind request of GWS. “Goa” is yet
another beautiful song earlier rendered in the Musical Show organized by
Konkani Heritage Kuwait. A genuine Goan will never shy away from listening
to this song a thousand times. Yet another song which was earlier rendered
in Kuwait was “Melody King” during the recently organized Musical Show by
Lawry Pinto’s Club Youth Recreation Centre.

During the function a galaxy of speakers rendered their speeches in praise
of Rosary Ferns. Mr. Fidelis Fernandes the President of Konkani Heritage
Kuwait in a brief speech welcomed the gathering and conducted the ceremony
of releasing the Album. While speaking he gave detailed explanation of his
musically conscious family, his father’s encouragement for them to promote
dramatic art and how his youngest and last brother Rosary Ferns alone in the
family carried forward this art. Fidelis also told how Rosary Ferns was
named after the death of their eldest brother who died at an early age.
Rosary Ferns then spoke at length about this Album and thanked everyone who
helped him to produce this Album. In a special way he thanked and lauded
the contribution of his brother Fidelis for helping him to move ahead in

[Goanet]Mr Churchill Alemao ex -CM/MP appointed KRCL Goa Staff Association chief

2004-03-26 Thread godfrey gonsalves
At a meeting of about 76 staff from Goa region of the
Konkan Railway Corporation limited held on 25th
March,2004 at the St Sebastian Church Hall at Aquem
Alto Margao ex CM and former Lok Sabha MP and now
Indian National Congress MP candidate for 26 April
2004 14 Lok Sabha General Elections from the Mormugao
Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency ,was unanimously
selected to head the new association KONKAN RAILWAY
Corporation Ltd GOA STAFF ASSOCIATION, apparently to
safeguard and promote the interests of Konkan Railway
personnel in Goa region. There are three regions of
the KRCL Goa Karnataka and Maharashtra . The other
members of the committee will be selected shortly.

It may be recalled that the Konkan Railway in Goa was
conceptualised during the brief tenure of the
Progressive Democratic Government of ex Chief Minister
Dr Proto Barboso in 1989 of which Mr Alemao was one of
the members. At the Central Government the Prof Madhu
Dandavate of Rajwada Maharashtra Konkan region and Mr.
George Fernandes were also responsible for the making
the Konkan Railway a through corridor for the people
along the Konkan upto Thiruvantahpuram in Kerala which
prior to its coming to reality the people of Goa had
to depend on a meter guage railway connection to
outside Goa.

Later there was an agitation for taking the route
via the central talukas of Ponda Quepem etc for an
area of a mere 21 kms which the agitationists felt
would decongest the high density populated areas along
the coastal and most develpoed talukas while promoting
the hitherto remote underdeveloped areas.

Further it was felt that the present route would not
be viable because the braod gauge was simultaneously
approved and hence the duplication of railway network
along the same corridor especially from Verna in
Salcette to Margao.

Ironically it was the Catholic community led by the
Church in its support for social issues which was
branded as anti-nationalists by the upper caste
majority community so that they would gain supremacy
in matters of employment and other benefits of rail
concessions etc . These same people similarly did
not support the Meta strips issue because it promised
high wage island job opportunities for this community
who are a mere 3% but corner jobs for their kith and
kin with ease .

However when they realised that the bahujan samaj
lower caste Hindus would be empowered by way of
employment in the Nylon 6 6 and they would not get
domestic help for their household they immediately
sought the support of the Catholic community and the
Church and were considered as nationalist once the
Nylon 6 6 was out.

It is hoped that with Churchill at the helm, of
affairs the Catholic community will regain their lost
respect with the KRCL
a) landlosers in Goa getting opportunity with KRCL in
Goa region
b) employment to the people of Goa in Goa region and

c) other safety measures will be implemented with the
team work of all employees;

There is also a need to take up certain issues of
general interests the rail timings the quota for
passengers travelling vide the Netravati Express and
the perenial rush of seats from Yeshwantpur to
Goa(Bangalore) in Karnataka.

There is also a huge financial loss to tourists
arriving in Goa who rush to visit the capital city not
knowing that Panaji is merely an administrative
headquarters and does not have much to offer a tourist
who has come to enjoy the beaches or indulge in eco
tourism or adventure tourism.

Further incase they do need to visit Panaji then the
ideal station for them to alight would be the Karmali
(Old Goa Station ) for disembarking and not Margao.

Hence the Konkan Railway should ensure that a huge
board viz; PANAJI ROAD STATION is put at Karmali
Station and on all tickets to and from this station
so that the tourists would get down at the nearest
station Karmali and not Margao.

Mr Alemao should also ensure that the approach roads
to Konkan Railway via Malbhat - Appolo Victor Hospital
from Old Railway station or the St Sebastian Church
and from Hotel Palace near Our lady of Rosary Church
and the new road via the ESIS Hospital and Rajendra
Prasad is completed fast before the monsoons.

With the Exposition and IFFI due in November to
January 2005 Mr Alemao should ensure a team of staff
from Goa to man the vital points in Goa.

He should also ensure that tourist making it to
Dudhsagar are not exploited with high fare structures.

Presently the Konkan Railway station is dominated by
nearly 95% non Goans and this does not reflect the
Goan ambience to the tourist both domestic and foreign
on arrivals.

Infact there have been remarks made by tourists that
Goans are over tolerant and subservient to the
dictates of non goans and the malaise of being
replaced by non Goans in every field. This must
change and NOW.

It is also hoped that Mr Alemao will also ensure that
the people of Goa need not go with a begging bowl to
demand tickets or other concessions from

What would most Goans, of whichever religious community, accept as their
common cultural symbol or symbols? Each community can also think of its own

Lady, 2-year-old son murdered at Anjuna
-
In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman and her two-year-old
son were murdered on a hillock along the Baga-Anjuna coastal belt.
According to Anjuna police, some villagers had noticed two men and
a woman along with a child proceeding to a hillock at about 7.30 p.m.
on Tuesday.
A short while later, some foreigners heard screams and rushed to the
site only to see the woman being assaulted by the two men. They tried
to nab the culprits, who however managed to flee from the scene under
the cover of darkness.
The foreigners then alerted Anjuna police, who rushed to the site. The
woman, however, died of injuries while being shifted to the Asilo hospital,
here.
On Wednesday morning, when a police team visited the scene for purpose
of investigations, the police noticed the body of a two-year-old boy, lying
about 100 metres from the place where the woman was found.
An autopsy on the two bodies established that while the woman died of
head injuries caused by some blunt force, the child was strangulated to
death.
Anjuna Police Inspector, Lawrence D'Souza informed Herald that the
police will register a case of murder (Section 302) against unidentified
persons, who have committed the gruesome crime, on completion of
preliminary investigations.
Meanwhile, police has requested the public to provide information which
would help in establishing the identity of the woman and her child.
The woman is about 5.3 feet in height and was wearing a yellowish
printed saree and a cream-coloured blouse. The child was wearing a
blue-coloured Reebok baby suit. PI D'Souza is investigating the case.

[Goanet]Football in Goa

2004-03-26 Thread Eddie Fernandes
Folks,

The current, (25 March 2004), issue of FACTS (the Swiss news magazine), has
a 639 words long article in German about Marco Pitta, a Swiss professional
footballer who signed up as trainer of the Churchill Brothers team in Goa 10
months ago.

From a very poor quality machine translation it appears that he is
thoroughly disillusioned. He talks of dusty everyday life ... delayed
payments of salary ... lack of order and punctuality ... the waste
everywhere ... bribery and corruption ... lack of enthusiasm among Goans for
football. He hopes to sign up with another team in Goa for the next season.

This article does not appear on the magazine website http://www.facts.ch
Pick up the magazine locally or write to me for the German text.

Cheers,

Eddie Fernandes

[Goanet]Church over Temple

2004-03-26 Thread Teotonio R. de Souza
From what I know of the case of Moirá, the main village church is not on the
exact spot, neither very close to the original spot. Very near the original
spot was built a road-side cross, and quite close to it is the chapel of St.
Sebastian. Curiously, when the Bl. Sacrament has to be removed from the
Chuch, the tradition requires that it be kept in the Chapel of St. Sebastian
On the same spot as the old main temple stood a huge banyan tree till very
recently. The housing spree got rid of it some years ago.

The sites chosen to build the new churches were generally located on or
close to river margins to (1) take advantage of river transport for building
material; (2) to enable the religious superiors of the Orders, who
controlled the parishes of Goa in the early centuries of conversion, to pay
annual visits to the churches.

It would be interesting to know from other village cases, if they generally
 follow a similar pattern.

..asks whether the churches were built on the EXACT spot where the temples
stood. I do not know for a fact, but it would seem obvious that if a temple
was destroyed to build a church in its place, then the spot where the church
would be built should be the EXACT spot.

[Goanet]Goa Museum

2004-03-26 Thread Miguel Braganza
Take a test. Randomly select five passengers from each bus arriving at KTC
bus stand in Panaji from any destinationeven from Miramar or Santa
Cruz. Ask each of them to give you the directions to the State Museum[ which
is hardly 500 metres away from the KTC bus stand]. If 10 % of the people can
tell you exactly where it is located and how to get there on foot or by
vehicle, I am your fairy godmother. ;-)

GOA STATE MUSEUM: The long history of a small geographical entity called Goa
showcased with exhibits at the Goa State Museum, a prestigious project of
world importance, is yet to attract tourists, both domestic and foreign.
Is
it a museum or a morgue? The State government agencies both academic and
those connected with tourism promotion have failed to motivate people to
visit this centre of great heritage and knowledge. Housed in a stately
edifice at the Pato Plaza, a massive commercial complex along the Rua de
Ourem canal, the museum has seven spacious galleries. (Jagdish Wagh in GT)

Can we have some signboards near the KTC bus stand, please. Could someone
list it in the tourist brochures? Can the GTDC buses on package tours of Old
Goa or Ponda not stop ther for a while?? Can the schools not be invited to
visit the state museum the same way they visit the Goa Science Centre? None
of the answers are actually expensive. No one is giving it a damn,it seems.

Viva Goa.
Miguel
