Re: [JAWS-Users] labs.google.com
ok, I tried to run this thing down, but I don't get something that you apparently do, you said something to the effect that when you tried a search recently in the labs, you got your results in a current google search format, correct? how was it displayed before this? I don't remember how things were displayed in the past, and I never had a google account so have no point of reference. and two, yes, as of the 16th of this month google labs is a goner, though some of the sub divisions are supposed to be moved to other places or other arrangements. they still want you to have a google account to access the android application maker stuff though unfortunately, I could get interested in that! anyway, I have a Email saying that to change things to do with searches and how the results are displayed, you go into your account preferences, and in a part called Query Suggestions. the user unchecked "Do not provide query suggestions in the search box." and wound up with No search clutter. Re: [JAWS-Users] hiding Windows Live Essentials update
Hi. It comes as a separate update, and if you only hear the message, that there is an update for Windows Live 2011, than just ignore this. If you really want to hide this update, than in your search box type Taskbar and choose Taskbar and Menuen Start, and from the Taskbar tab, select the Customize button, from where you can make your chois for, which icon's shall appear in the taskbar. Find the Windows Live 2011 Icon's, and from the Compobox select Icon and message's, and press ok. Press ok once more. Now you can find the update on the Taskbar, and after selected this, press the context menu key, and find the selection "Hide update" and press enter. This should get it to disappear from your update opportunities. Good luck. HTML in Outlook 2007 Cher, There is no way to tell Outlook 2007 to open the incoming messages as text instead of HTML. But, when I open HTML messages that were routed to my Junk folder, they are in text format and all HTML is disabled. I copy/paste the links I want to access from those messages. You have now made me realize that I need to route more messages to Junk instead of constantly waiting to open them in the web browser. Thanks so much Jerry. I've changed the setting and would never have found it on my own- so thanks twice. Have you used this setting, and if so, have you found a down side to doing so? I have a couple of files for my course. I am finding, that Jaws is saying space marker a lot. It is almost after every word. It is also saying paragraph marker at times too. I haven't experienced this with previous files. It makes reading the text rather awkward. Is there a setting I can change to stop this? I am using Jaws 12 on a XP home system.
