Garbage pix K20D review pancake too
Here: http://www.tbray.org/ongoing/When/200x/2008/04/13/K20D Here's a PDML-only note, not included in the blog: If you're going to walk around all day with a camera on your wrist you don't want to be changing lenses, and you really don't want to be fiddling with the lens-cap when the picture occurs. With Pentax's 40mm pancake prime, the problem goes away; the built-in lens hood means you're really not going to smudge the lens unless you're really unlucky (or have a grabby toddler), so stick the awkward little screw-in cap in your pocket and just forget about it. Well, and that lens just gets right out of your way. Re: PESO: Snowy Egret
Nice pics, Bob. I don't think the green cast is a problem. It looks like a reflection of the foliage, and with the foliage present in the pic, it looks natural. Maybe just a slight reduction in green saturation will remove it if you don't like it? I like the second pic best. Great documentation of the display and how it use the tail feathers. Even though both birds look away from the camera, there's more feeling of contact with the bird in the second than in the first. Bill, My father was born in 1920 and had no memories of prohibition. If that's what your asking me to compare to, you're gonna have to find something more current. My only drug experience comes thru my brother the attorney. He is taking public defender cases on cocaine arrests of gangbangers. How much of that do they have in Regina? From: http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=1017full=1 Although consumption of alcohol fell at the beginning of Prohibition, it subsequently increased. Alcohol became more dangerous to consume; crime increased and became organized; the court and prison systems were stretched to the breaking point; and corruption of public officials was rampant. No measurable gains were made in productivity or reduced absenteeism. Prohibition removed a significant source of tax revenue and greatly increased government spending. It led many drinkers to switch to opium, marijuana, patent medicines, cocaine, and other dangerous substances that they would have been unlikely to encounter in the absence of Prohibition. Being a native westerner from the heart of Reform country in southern-central BC, the West has many of the same political issues with the Federal Government as Quebec (But with a different set of Cultural issues). Moving towards a federal government that's weaker on domestic issues benefits both the West and Quebec, and reduces the stress level within Confederation. Of course, I've long been of the opinion that the Western Provinces (or more accurately, BC and Alberta) are more likely to separate than Quebec. There's a lot less economic and cultural ties between them and Central and Eastern Canada than there is between Quebec and the surrounding provinces. -- M.
