Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
Hi, I'm a Newbie and non-technical, so just checking that Spotty won't run on my old Synology DS207+ with the Marvel Orion CPU and with 28Mb memory, running squeeze centre 7.5.3 packaged as LMS. am I correct in assuming that this is too old to run spotty? thankyou, sorry for the newbie question.oh, if its OK to run. Where do I find the download instructions? Many thanks. "I'm sorry, but your processor architecture or operating system most likely is not compatible with Spotty. You can still give it a try. But don't be surprised if it fails... Operating system macOS 10.12.6 / unknown" Hmm... you're not the first to report this. That shouldn't happen. What LMS version are you using? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
It's got an Atom CPU - I deliberately went with x86 back in the day as it provided better support for plugins. ;-) That's good. The problem is that the package managers are now all third party, and they break the SSOTS package already installed ;-) Again: you better ask in some QNAP forum or thread. I always thought SSOxS was pretty much self-contained. Now I'm getting a 404 file not found when viewing the settings for the plugin. Then either the plugin is not running, or you got the URL wrong. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
Hi, What is the audio bitrate at which Spotty streams? I tried comparing the sound quality between Spotty (Squeezebox 3 -> Denon receiver) vs Spotify Connect (iPhone -> Denon receiver) and the sound quality from Spotify Connect is slightly better. The Music Quality setting on my iPhone is set to "Recommended", however when I switch to using Spotify Connect, the Music Quality setting is greyed out, so I'm not sure what quality it streams at. I just wanted to say, after being on vacation for a few weeks and discovering the loss of spotify, that this works fantastic. I'm on Windows 10, and within 5 minutes of my discovery, a google search and subsequent plugin installation, restart of LMS, and login to Spotify worked perfectly the first time. Dare I say this is working better than the spotify plugins that we had before (I am on a Duet). Hi @mherger QNAP NAS issues still creating dead-ends for those of us persevering. I can't find any information about the TS-239 (without the Pro). What kind of CPU is this using? Is there any chance/way the IO::Socket::SSL module can be bundled with the plugin in some way? No. That module is very picky about where it is compiled etc (for security reasons). Eg. I think the Kernel on source and target machine must match etc. There's no way I could do this for all kinds of systems. That's definitely something which should be done using the system's package manager. Or if there are precompiled binaries available that we can simply add to the perl directory on our QNAP NAS? I'll point to post #866 again. Or ask in a QNAP related forum. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
Hi @mherger QNAP NAS issues still creating dead-ends for those of us persevering. Is there any chance/way the IO::Socket::SSL module can be bundled with the plugin in some way? Or if there are precompiled binaries available that we can simply add to the perl directory on our QNAP NAS? Thanks! I use Squeeze CTRL on my android devices to control my devices and SPOTTY works very well including search functions. Not sure what you mean by "cleanup the search results". Hiding that A-Z list gives the main list more horizontal room for the text. Jeddie wrote: > > 2. Speaking of A-Z filter; I thought I would try to use it? The A-Z list depends on an index list that the app requests from the server. Sometimes when the library has some corruption, the jump points end up being incorrect. Jeddie wrote: > > 3. That's because the progress bar was never designed to be permanent. It's default state is to be hidden, the option in the preferences just stops it from automatically hiding once it's shown. When app gets hidden and shown again, the progress bar reverts to it's default state. I'll see if I can save the state of the bar when app gets hidden. -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
