I think you are saying that when you run SLX 2.4.28 (Legacy installer), Run in Background Off (please confirm this), that when you close the app, you see the splash screen "Squeezelite-X is Closing...", SLX closes, but squeezelite-win.exe is left running? Assuming you can reproduce this at will, if you are willing, you can enable log output to a file to capture the shutdown logging. In Settings press Ctrl-Shift-D, which will show some debug controls. Enable Log to File and Enable Debug level. This will create a log file on your desktop call SlxLog.txt. Then lets take a look at the log and see why it did not terminate squeezelite. Thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Wow this thread is long! Hard to find simple info for a new user of iPeng. I've been using it for a few weeks and loving the ability to control with my devices, but I have a few simple questions about playlist editing: Can you select multiple items to move around on a playlist? I know you can select multiple items for deletion but can you select, say all the track on a album or something like that, to move their order all at once on the playlist? Is it possible to view favorite albums in Tidal on a "Date Added" basis vs the default alphabetical order? When you start to develop large favorite lists it becomes difficult to locate the album if you only have the ability to view alphabetical lists. nnck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65499 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm wondering if I've screwed something up or if there's some Spotify content that they won't share to external devices or if there's some other issue? Podcasts aren't working (yet). And I guess the NPR content might be "episodes" of a podcast. I'm working on Podcasts right now, and hope to have something in a few days. Can't say how well that will work yet, as none of this is documented by Spotify. But I'm sure you'll tell me :-) Unfortunately I depend on Richard to compile new binaries for BSD before this will be available to you. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I'm using Spotty v2.8.7 and Spotty Helper Application For FreeBSD 11. (v0.20.0) in a jail on a FreeNAS server in Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.2 - TRUNK @ UNKNOWN. Spotty recently started offering me "Your Daily Drive" which mixes segments of NPR content intermixed with music. When I try to listen to it via Spotty the NPR content is silence and things seem to hang up, but if/when I skip forward to the music it plays happily until the next bit of NPR content. I also just tried listening to a podcast via Spotify for the first time, intending to pass it to spotty, but under "Devices Available" the entry for my LMS/Spotty devices says "Can't play this right now". I'm wondering if I've screwed something up or if there's some Spotify content that they won't share to external devices or if there's some other issue? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
I still suggest starting a new thread or adding to the "don't forward" thread with some of your network details / LMS logs to see if there is a way to configure things so that the issue goes away. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
I can't readily access your VPN provider site - my ISP blocks access to it. Is its job to allow you to access your home network when you are out - or to somewhat hide your details when you visit other sites? If only the 2nd one then it is not what you need for LMS access. If you read through the (long) thread about not allowing access you will see some well hidden information about how to override this check in LMS. It is not shouted about here because of the possible problems when doing it. But - by reading the thread to find it you will have learned more about what it does and why. Yes, with username and password required. If anyone knew my www.synologyddns.com:9002 address and went to that address, they would get the username+login prompt ? That, plus using www.privateinternetaccess.com clients for any and all devices, should be sufficient, shouldn't it ? Or could you explain more what you mean about using a VPN, is it different than what I'm using from www.privateinternetaccess.com ? If so, how do I set it up ? Are the LMS Advanced - Security settings, where username and password is set, explained in detail anywhere ? Thank you very much for your help! :) echable's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69542 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108960 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If "anyone in the world" can access my LMS ? Well, I have username + password protection turned on, and always use the privateinernetaccess.com VPN client on all devices, so I suppose not ? I want and need to be able to access my at-home LMS from any network anywhere. What kind of "network settings" are you asking for ? Where would I find them ? Please check www.privateinernetaccess.com, as I said I use that for all devices, plus I have username+pw set up on LMS, is that not sufficient ? echable's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69542 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108960 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
Are these the relevant settings that people refer to when they say "use a VPN" when they talk about using LMS through the internet ? Any guide on settings please ? As noted, I already use a VPN from privateinternetaccess.com that encrypts everything, is that NOT sufficient ? According to previous poster, the 7.9.2 pinkdot version completely prohibits any outside internet access (including, apparently, in this case, access from my internal LAN but using the Synology ddns address). If the below is what I need (or should, instead of port forwarding, anyway) set up to have more secure access to LMS from anywhere, links to any guides or an explanation here would be MUCH apprecated! Thank you! 28536 +---+ |Filename: Annotation 2019-11-13 122249.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=28536| +---+ echable's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69542 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108960 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
Can anyone in the world access your LMS installation? If yes - then there is a chance that they will (there are plenty of examples) and will have fun changing your settings, playing music loudly and setting a password to make it difficult for you to get back in to LMS to fix things. If you have no intention of accessing your LMS from outside you local network and access has been left open by mistake ... then close down that access route. If you do want it to be accessible and you think that you have protected access to your LMS via a VPN (or similar) then please post network settings with some explanation so that the problem can be diagnosed further (assuming it remains) ... and probably in a new thread. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
Thanks for your reply! Surely I should be able to decide this myself ? I don't understand what people mean when they say "use a VPN". I use the www.privateinternetaccess.com VPN on all my devices, is that what you mean ? Or do you mean something like this stuff on my Asus router ? 28535 If the latter, any link or explanation for my detailed instructions please ? The LMS 7.9.2 version installed on my DietPi Odroid XU4 works with forwarded ports just fine. +---+ |Filename: Annotation 2019-11-13 121651.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=28535| +---+ echable's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69542 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108960 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
Just installed this package, used the mirror source and the link specifically for my NAS build, DS415PLAY, it installed suspiciously quickly and when I click on the link I get taken to http://ddns.synology.me:9002/settings/server/wizard.html this showing this message: 403 Forbidden: settings/server/wizard.html Any tips ? Just a question of waiting a while or rebooting perhaps ? I previously had the SynoCommunity older version build installed, just installed that, rebooted, then installed this. Great job anyway by the way, I'm sure I'll get it working! Will this package auto-update ? How come you don't make a repo so the package can be added to and show up in Package Center ? Thanks for a great job! echable's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69542 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108960 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
