Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2020-05-19 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi Erland,

I have just started using Spotty 4.0 with LMS 8.0 for Spotify music
integrated with my local library. I have found that Trackstat doesn't
see to work with Spotify tracks. Talked to Michael he wondered if it was
because you rely on a file being local, eg. accessible on the
filesystem. Is there any chance that Trackstat could work with Spotify
streams?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)

Hi,

is there any reason why Trackstat isn't working with Spotty 4.0? I'd
like to be able to rate Spotify tracks and have them included in dynamic
playlists but it seems the allocated ratings never are recorded.

Is this an issue with Spotty or Trackstat or something which isn't
possible for a technical reason?

There is only an issue with the ratings that I did before I installed
Material, ie see below. No ratings show in the track listing but if I go

Now I have all the right pictures I was wondering how to get them all
square without having to process each and everyone of them. Would it be
possible for the plug in to do that? ie with a picture where x doesn't
equal y to take the smaller dimension and crop the other dimension to
that around the mid point of the photo? I thin that would make the
photos look neater and most would look just fine. If any look weird I
could re-download but that would take far less time.

What do you think?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2014-04-04 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi erland,

I have just updated to CSOS R7 (and then downgraded to LMS 7.8.0. to get
Trackstat working again). As part of the process I am restoring my
trackstat data. For me this process is very painful. It seems to take
forever and I get no notification of how long this will take or how far
through the process I am. Also, whilst this is going on I get constant
rebuffering (I'm guessing the process is processor intensive).

My library is ~2 tracks, my backup file is 13,573K and it takes many
hours to restore. Is this right?

Also, It is possible to give some progress indication, ie like the
scanning process?

Any help in speeding this up or at least understanding the time involved
would be appreciated,

Regards

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2014-04-04 Thread Chunkywizard

HI erland,

thanks for the reply. What I've done is gone back to my previous image,
deleted unused statistics, then saved a backup (reducing the file to
11,535K). I then reverted to R7 image, tuned off find alternatives and
loaded the backup. Looking at the server.log I can see it working but I
am getting loads of 'no matching file for' statements.

One thing that changed between my images was the mount point changed
from file:///mnt/PaulsMusic/Music/ to file:///mnt/storage/Music/
(because of the automatic mount point setup in R7), would this cause all
the no matching files?

If not, I don't understand why there are mismatches as both images point
to the same network share and no files have changed since the backup.

Any ideas?

Thanks Pascal, most appreciated. I had done some more googling and I

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2013-10-15 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi Erland,

I have some strange behaviour which I reckon might be a bug. I backup my
TrackStat data ever night. Yesterday, I had to restore my trackstat data
and found that some of the ratings were not restored correctly. This
reminded me it happened last time I did this also. I think there is a
pattern to which albums didn't correctly restore their ratings.

Kasabian - Veloceraptor!
+44 - When Your Heart Stops Beating
Ed Sheran - +

It seems to be albums with + ! in them. I guess this points to charset
issues. My files are on a WHS v1 and LMS is on a Wandboard.

Do you think this is fixable? If you need any more info or some testing
let me know

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2013-05-19 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi Erland,

I have an issue with exporting/import for Trackstat stats. I am
migrating to the Wandboard for my server from a Windows Home Server. I
reckon the issue is with the import (but it could be the export).
Basically play count and ratings are not imported for songs with foreign
characters in them. I am using the WHS backup file to import into the
Wandboard. There are no exceptions to the failure, all 96 songs in my
library are missing the info. I know when I mounted the cifs on my
Wandboard I needed to have the option charset=utf8 in fstab to see these
foreign character songs so I'm guessing it is related.

Any help you can give would be appreciated

I guess you're listening to your own music only? I took that recipe from

some of the tutorials. But I must admit that though I have lots of
Dreamtheater etc. in my collection, it would bring up Dido or Annie
 Lennox
pretty quickly... I'll try to tweak that a bit. Currently I'm working on

adding the genre-radio type. But in this very case, using metal as the

genre, I would only get tracks tagged with metal in TEN's database.
Which is a meager 5 tracks...

Somebody noted that those parameters aren't very obvious. And I can only

agree. There are many parameters, and their function isn't always clear
 to
 me either.

Yep, my own library only. Tried it again and no WTF moments this time.
By the way, I have a fair bit of Hard Rock/ Metal so the Cranberries
should stay well hidden!

some albums which have years for different tracks, ie an album that is
remastered and have bonus tracks at the end. I give the original tracks
the original album year and the bonus tracks the year of the remaster.
In this case it seems that the year used is the average of the two years
ie original year 1976, remaster 1991 then it appears in the year 1984.
Is it possible only to use the track year?

group by tracks.id
order by sqlplaylist_random_years.year,random()

fine! Any ideas what's going on here? Seems to be only on newly added

these are all around 1000x1000 resolution

Have you configured the iTunes Library XML file parameter in the
TrackStat iTunes Import module in the Custom Scan settings page ?

If it's configure, my next question would be if you are using Custom
 Scan 3.0.x or 2.8.x ?
If you are using the 3.0.x (which is an alpha version) that might be
the cause, as I remember I haven't gotten the time to test that
properly yet. So if you are using the 3.0.x version I think I would
suggest that you remove the alpha repository from the SBS
Settings/Plugins page and then uninstall and reinstall Custom Scan and
you should get the official 2.8.x release instead.

Let me know if any of the above solves your issues.

Hi Erland,

spot on. Rookie mistake I'm afraid, the XML file link was missing.
Sorry about that. A little while back I had to clear my settings and I
must have missed setting it again.

Thanks for your help (again)

I have tried restarting the server but I still get the same error. Any

Feels a bit strange that it should be 1 or 2, I suspect there is
something wrong with your prefs file, so hopefully 3 solves it.

Hi Erland, all sorted. For whatever reason the path to my playlists had

Hi Erland,

thanks for coming back. Restarting doesn't cure it and yes, I'm on the
latest version (at least no upgrades are shown, it's v2.9.3755). I can
access the plugin settings page and there are ticks under the enabled
playlists section.

As far as the log goes I found this

Any ideas?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2011-09-29 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi Erland,

not sure if I have reported this before but I have a possible bug in
Custom Scan.

My Music is at: D:\shares\Music\Music

This double directory came about as I have other directories such as:

D:\shares\Music\Audiobooks
D:\shares\Music\Videos
etc which I don't want scanning by SBS

I am importing statistics from iTunes using Custom Scan. In the module
settings if I leave the Music Path blank then I get errors in the log
such as:

[11-09-29 14:41:56.6540]
Plugins::TrackStat::iTunes::Import::handleTrack (424) file not found:

[Rex The Dog Dubb Mi.mp3

Note the triple 'Music' in the URL. I can work around this by entering
D:\shares\Music as the Music path. The only down side of this is Custom
Scan finds all the Audiobooks and Videos which are not in my SBS library
and complains.

Hope that make sense. It's not really an issue (just a messy log) but I
guess there is a bug in there somewhere.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2011-09-19 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi Erland,

I've noticed something and I'm not sure if it's due to the plug in or
the server. After a complete rescan of the music library all Dynamic
Playlists report 'no songs' until the server is restarted. After the
restart then things work as normal. Can you fix this?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Need help to test Custom Scan with support for new/changed scanning

2011-08-22 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi Erland,

I just loaded this up to give it a try. I am a bit confused by some of
your comments, hopefully you can explain. You say 'my hope is that this
should make it possible to play music without interruption while doing a
full rescan'. What do you mean about a full rescan? If you are talking
'Clear library and rescan everything' (which I am currently doing) then
you have no music when scanning (as it has yet to be discovered), or are
you talking about from mysqueezebox.com? I put on the radio whilst
scanning and had rebuffering issues at the end of the scanning new
files stage (300 files or so from the end)

Another comment, I don't understand Haven't tested or implemented
anything regarding export/import modules provided by TrackStat, so my
guess is that these probably won't work yet when triggered from the
main SBS scanner. Do you mean, only LastFM, custom Tag, Mixed Tag and
Rating Tag work? If so, I use none of them, so I am not sure my test
will prove anything.

So onto your rescan performance question. As I don't use any of the
implemented features I guess it will be similar. But with Custom Scan

enabled I get:

Discovering files/directories: \\TheMACServer\Music\Music (16935 of
16935) Complete 00:03:07
Scanning new files: \\TheMACServer\Music\Music (14696 of 14696)

The server has finished scanning your music collection.
Total Time: 00:46:17 (Monday, August 22, 2011 / 10:02 AM)

Hi Erland,

in your SQL what does playcount is null actually mean? I have a number

Are some of my TrackStats damaged?

 Not sure I understand.

If you copy the SQL DLL as before it works ? Where are you copying it
from/to ? Is Moose not creating it ?

Actually, if Moose is creating it alongside and it's failing, does
quitting and restarting Moose make it work ? (ie, does the dll need to
be there when moose starts ?) I wonder if I'm creating it too late..

Sorry, I'll explain better. With 0.76c it fails to work unless I move a
DLL. If I move the SQL DLL into the same directory at the Moose.exe then
it works fine (I copied it from within the thumbs folder). I do nothing
with the MS DLL, it works fine where it is.

Does that make sense?

Normally it makes playback very stuttery but today it seems to be
behaving. I am on 7.6.1. r33094 (rc1 I believe)

Let me know if there is any further information you need

Regards

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Scan and 7.6

2011-08-17 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi erland,

thanks for the explanation, it helps clarify things a bit for me. So my
log was for a refresh then (hence why it was so quick - I renamed the
artist for one album). What I don't understand is why Settings:Plug
Ins:Custom Scan is still reporting 'Scanning in Progress' even if you
hit refresh. I have all scanning module set to Manual, yet the iTunes
input one still shows scanning. Do you have to restart SBS after
changing options (I only set the scan to be manual today)

Hi there,

I am still having problems scanning the database. I have downloaded and
installed the VS runtimes but I still get the error:

Problems with SQLlite support DLL: Could not load file or assembly
'System.Data.SQLite, Version 1.0.74.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of its depnedances. The system
cannot find the file specified. This could be due to not having the
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 SP1 runtimes. See website for details.

I am running 7.6.1 rc1 on my WHS, Moose resides on my Win 7 x64 Home PC
which has a mapped network drive referenced in the scanning preferences

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2011-08-10 Thread Chunkywizard

erland;648502 Wrote:
TrackStat Statistics and SBS Statistics are stored in different tables.
 The difference are:
 - SBS Statistics are overwritten during rescans (if you use iTunes or
MusciIP integation if I remember correctly)
 - TrackStat statistics is merged if you are using its iTunes or MusicIP
import modules but it's merged in a smart way so it will for example
never import a play count from iTunes/MusicIP that's lower than the
 TrackStat play count.
 - SBS Statistics count a track as played even if it's only played a
single second and then skipped, TrackStat is a bit smarter and doesn't
consider a track played until you have played a certain part of the
track (can be configured in TrackStat settings)

I think the existing SQL Playlist template only uses the TrackStat data
as that's the only one I trust.

It's hard to say exactly what's causing the difference in your setup
but my guess would be that you use either iTunes or MusicIP integration
and they contain a 0 play count for the track and due to this have
overwritten the SBS Statistics when you did a full rescan. TrackStat
play counts will never be decreased when importing statistics from
iTunes or MusicIP because if the play counts are higher in TrackStat
then iTunes it just means that you have played some music on the
Squeezebox since you last synchronized with iTunes.

Hi Erland,

thanks for the explanation.I do import from iTunes (no MusicIP) however
iTunes reports no unplayed sounds :-S I am not sure where these songs
are, I think it may be a bug! Can I do a database query to narrow this
down?

2011-08-10 Thread Chunkywizard

Thanks. I have worked out what this is, I think. The query did return a
few tracks. All had a play count of 0. However, I don't think they
have been played on SBS after the last time they were changed in some
way or another. eg 'Nicest Thing' by Kate Nash. I changed this in the
last couple of days from 'The Nicest Thing' when I found the title was
wrong. Also I had a newly downloaded track which hasn't been played on
SBS but has on iTunes, this was in the list but the play count is 1.
Not sure if that makes it a bug or not!

Hi Erland,

I upgrade to 7.6 yesterday. I did as instructed and removed all data
then restored from file (I do a nightly backup). My log is full of the
same error, eg

[11-07-26 21:36:22.0477] Plugins::TrackStat::Storage::addToHistory

(230) Restore completed at 2011-07-26 21:36:31

It seems no stats have been imported. I guess this might be due to
syntax for network drives. In settings:advanced:trackstat the backup
location is referred to thus: D:\shares\Music\Squeezebox\TrackStat
Backup\trackstat_scheduled_backup_20110726.xml

Any ideas? Do I need to refer to the backup location as a network share
rather than a mapped drive? Or is it something else?

You can compare it with the Location attribute shown in the Song
Info page in SBS web interface.

I assume you let SBS rescan complete before you started the TrackStat
 restore ?

If the paths to the music has changed, you can edit the TrackStat
backup file in a text editor using replace all and replace the old
paths with the new path. Just make sure to keep the original backup
file as that might be needed if you do something wrong and want to do a
 clean restore again.

Hi Erland,

thanks for the quick response. In answer to your questions:

No, the path to the music hasn't changed

Yes, the file exists (by the way, this wasn't the only error, I got
14000 of them, one for each file I think)

Song Info reports the location as \\TheMACServer\Music\Music\Aloe
Blacc\I Need a Dollar - Single\01 I Need A Dollar.mp3 (does the back
slash vs forward slash make a difference?)

Yes, rescan was complete before starting

In the backup file the URL is thus:
urlfile%3A%2F%2F%2F%2FTheMACServer%2FMusic%2FMusic%2FAloe%2520Blacc%2FI%2520Need%2520a%2520Dollar%2520Single%2F01%2520I%2520Need%2520A%2520Dollar.mp3/url

What do you think I need to do? Shall I try and reload?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2011-07-27 Thread Chunkywizard

Update. I have just tried using the TrackStat restore function in
CustomScan and I think this is working. Not sure what that tells you (
I guess it's different code to do the same job?) but it's been going a
couple of minutes and the log is devoid of errors so far. I'll let you
know if it works.

O.k., this is bizarre. Although I am getting the failures in the log it
seems as though the import worked. When I play a random mix I can
seeing ratings against all tracks, even Aloe Blacc.

Dynamic Playlists seem bust though. Below is the playlost and the error

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2011-07-27 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi erland,

thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it.

In the plugin history entries is twice number of songs (30K vs 15K), so
that's good.

I did customise the SQL so I'll make the changes you suggest, thanks

I also use the iTunes Import part of Custom Scan, will this be affected
in the same way do you know?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Moose 0.74 (squeezebox windowsclient)

2011-05-27 Thread Chunkywizard

Hi there,

I have a bug or maybe a weird interaction I would like to solve. For a
while I was getting track skipping in SBS and I have tracked it down to
the following situation. If I have Moose maximised and then I start
Chrome which has SBS as a saved tab then SBS/Moose will stop playing
the current track, skip 2 or 3 tracks and start playing a new one.

Anyone any ideas why? I'm running SBS 7.5.4 and Chrome 13.x dev-m.

Well, as said before, I don't _have_ the old buttons in a resolution

Now we are currently working here to get the new ones changed to
something that has the power states easily distinguishable and hope to
 have a solution this week.
Judging from the comments I'd assume this is the biggest issue for most
 people.

When that's finally out we can re-run the poll to really find out how
people feel about the STYLE of the icons.

Options... You know how I think about that, I might eventually add a
skinning feature so that you can change the style yourself...

Hi Pippin,

the power states of the new icons isn't the biggest issue for me, I
just prefer the old ones! What resolution do the icons have to be?
Perhaps a skilled poster could update the old style icons to the
correct resolution. I guess you could take the press shots (eg image
gallery here:
http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/speakers-audio/wireless-music-systems/devices/5745)as
a starting point.

So Pippin, we have been going a week on the poll and the old icons are
winning by a mile. Any chance we can have them back or at least an
option to use them? Or maybe a competition to design some new ones?
