[PEDA] Annular Ring design rule
Folks, While currently checking the annular rings of a design, it appears to me as Protel treats vias and pads differently. Following seem to be the calculations for: annular ring of a via = DIAMETER of pad - DIAMETER of hole annular ring of pad = RADIUS of pad - RADIUS of hole Can somebody confirm this? I'm using P99SE, SP6. Re: [PEDA] CAM Outputs
Wayne, When using the Access ddb format just unchek the "export copy to" option in the "tools-preferences", rename the CAM-folder after generating the data within the database and export it by a "right mouse click-export..." to your target directory on the disk. Sorry, I'm not aware of a more convenient way! Re: [PEDA] CAM Outputs
Hi Wayne You can rename the folder in the design explorer, but you have to close the cam output before. Right mouse click and so on. Re: [PEDA] update schematic problem ??
Only schematic pages that are open when you hit "Update Schematics" will be changed. I think it's always been like that. I also found that "Update parts in Cache" only affected the open schematic pages, at least after I was in this 'partially updated' state. -Original Message- From: Jon Elson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 26, 2001 3:32 PM Robison Michael R CNIN wrote: > > i built an IC component and i incorrectly numbered the ground pin > as 17 instead of the 7 it should have been. i used three of them > in the schematic and it was flagged when i went to update the > pcb. i changed the component library, updated the schematic, > but only one of the chips got corrected. why wouldn't the other > two chips update to the correct numbering? > When you edit the component library, there is a button in the left pane (when the document manager is on the screen (toggled with the hierarchy symbol on the left side of the toolbar) that says update schematics. Hi Brad yes I use the windows file system. I create a copy of the cam's to hardrive - which is part of the preferences of CAM output. Namely in a dir called "c:\camout\" But when generating files Protel places folders in this location called "Cam for x" I cant have spaces in the folder name. [PEDA] update schematic problem ??
hello, i built an IC component and i incorrectly numbered the ground pin as 17 instead of the 7 it should have been. i used three of them in the schematic and it was flagged when i went to update the pcb. i changed the component library, updated the schematic, but only one of the chips got corrected. why wouldn't the other two chips update to the correct numbering? i double-checked that the chips were all the same, that they used the same footprint, and that they came from the same library. i guess i'm gonna have to forcefully delete the two that won't up- date and replace them with the corrected version. thank you, miker * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post a message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To leave this list visit: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/leave.html * * Contact the list manager: * mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Forum Guidelines Rules: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/forumrules.html * * Browse or Search previous postings: * http://www.mail-archive.com/proteledaforum@techservinc.com * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
