Re: [QUAD-L] anyone on the list of 65 can help for a paper
Thanks for the offer. I so wish that I could use people 50 and over because it would be so much easier :-). If any of you know of anyone over 65, can you give them my email and see if they would like to answer any questions? Does anyone have the emails to the 2 guys that used to be on the list about a year ago? I think that they have a wealth of knowledge. I know I miss them being on the list. Hi John, My nephew is a chief investigator with the police department and he has a drug dog. When you get a dog like this they live with you and become part ofyour family. Our house is where all the family comes to eat and congregate. We have them over ever week or 2 to eat and watch a game or race and the dog comes along. When Jimmy needs to go places without the dog he will have a " play date " at our house. We have often said that the dog could bust us for all the meds we keep in our house. I bet he would let Jimmy know if I tried to hide some " pot " in this house. I have a cousin that's a cop, another is a deputy Sherriff and an uncle that is a captain of the guard for the Sheriff's dept' where they handle prisoners all day. In this part of the country pot laws are looked at as just plain stupid ways to fill jail cells. They could go set up a watch on a nightclub where extacy and coke are being sold in bulk to teens or they could bust the 40 yldguy sittin at home, watching cartoons, eating a twinkie. Pot is no longer a big money crime drug. So many people grow their own and theres virtually no violent crime attached to it. It is Kentucky's #1 cash crop. The reduculous part is when I see them smuggling it in from mexiico when everyone knows, Canada has the good stuff. The best stuff comes from basements and is grown using hydroponics. In any case, I don't buy it or sell it. An ounce lasts me about 6 months. If they choose to arrest me for it I'll cost them about $6500a day to keep in custody at a local hospital and I haven't got the money to pay a fine. The only reason pot is illegal is because a study done in the 1930's stated that marijuana made blackl and hispanic men want to rape white women. I heard thatin the 1800s, they decided to outlaw something and pot was considered to be the black man's drug of choice so they outlawed that instead of alcohol, the white man's drug of choice. Then in the early 1900's of course they tried outlawing alcohol, now they really need to wise up and legalize pot as well - (prostitution too) regulate and tax the crap out of them like they do now with tobacco and alcohol. We waste such great resources chasing these two 'evils' it is just unbelievable. O'C ]In a message dated 10/23/2006 11:31:31 A.M. Interestingly enough when I first started using Magic Bullets as a replacement for the oil based suppositories, I also found them to be considerably quicker. However, as time went by they became just as slow as the oil based ones. When I tried to go back to the oil based suppositories, I found they did not work on me at all. It seems as if the Magic Bullets become addictive. Now I can use nothing else. I have tried the little mini suppositories (I can't recall the name right now) that others on here use, but they do not have any effect whatsoever. I additionally have had the opportunity to use mini suppositories which have the main ingredient which makes up the Bullets, but these also have no effect. My warning to everyone is be careful. If you have a product which is working now, you may want to stick with it if at all possible. When they were having "supposed" difficulties with production, I was forced to pay the exorbitant price of $100 for 50 of them. It was either that or end up in the hospital numerous times with impactions.QuadiusDanny Hearn [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Ray i ordered a hundred Magic Bullets and they work much faster than the oil based type but I find I have accidents more if I use only them. Re: [QUAD-L] Dragon NaturallySpeaking
Hey Steve All, How do you use your keyboard in bed? Where is your tower? Thanks Lindaf
Re: [QUAD-L] Dragon NaturallySpeaking
Dillon, I personally have not used a computer from bed in quite some time, but this is more of a situation where I feel like I get enough computer use when I am up in my wheelchair and do not want to spend any more time on it from bed. I still have a laptop, but it is quite old and will not support the current version I have of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. However, since you wanted to know how I had it set up I thought I would share this with you. I sat my laptop on a bedside table (this was a hospital table I was able to get for free) at an angle where I could still watch TV, yet view the computer. Since I am unable to touch anything with my hands or arms and am completely reliant on the voice technology, it became a little tricky. If one of the programs froze up or the computer locked up, I was forced to shut off the computer utilizing my environmental control unit. Unfortunately, when I was forced to shut off the computer using my ECU I was unable to reboot the computer, since it was a laptop and it needed to be turned on by the power button. I never found a solution to this problem. As far as microphones go, I utilized a microphone I purchased from RadioShack for a reasonable price and a USB external sound card which provided very quality sound. The microphone was similar to the ones you see newscasters wearing on television and it could be placed on my chest. I used to fold a towel across my chest so I could clip the microphone to it without having it directly attached to my skin. The only drawback was all ambient noise was able to filter through and this meant I could not have people talking around me when I was dictating. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help to you, but I'm sure you will give adequate advice from others. Hi O'C,The State laws were passed before the Federal ones, but it was in the 1900's that the first laws appeared. The three main reasons brought about State laws against marijuana are immigration from Mexico, the substitution concept, and religion. http://www.forces.org/articles/files/whiteb/white04.htmThe first criminal law at the Federal level was in 1914, and comes down to the biggest reason marijuana is still illegal today, money! http://www.forces.org/articles/files/whiteb/white03.htm With Love, CtrlAltDel aka DaveC4/5 Complete - 30 Years PostTexas, USA[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I heard thatin the 1800s, they decided to outlaw something and pot was considered to be the black man's drug of choice so they outlawed that instead of alcohol, the white man's drug of choice. I still have not had the time or inclination to use Yahoo or complain to Comcast for numerous reasons. So can I ask you a favor? Please delete this part of the e-mail if you worried and post the following question for me if you would. -For the past nine years I have been usinga portable phone with a headset mostly when I am in bed so it is hands-free but I can also clip it to my clothing or strap to carry around the house with me and have the headset on my head so that I do not have to use a Speakerphone all the time. I have gotten this phone from RadioShack the last nine years but we went to our local store and they do not carry them any longer. Well, they had a very similar one but the buttons were so tiny that I can not use it.Very disappointing because they were quite reasonable [$29.95 or $35.95]They do not take up much room at all as one good feature and the second major feature was that they had big buttons. They also came in cool colors like blue or purple.Essentially, the phone itself was probably a size and a half bigger than a deck of cards. I could put the unit into the charger to charge all night long and then use it whenever. The headset was connected directly with a cord. THE HEADSET WAS NOT SEPARATE from the phone. In any case, now I can not find anything similar! It was absolutely perfect for my needs and now I can't find one. To give you an idea of what it looks like you can go to the following site and see. You will see that it is a RadioShack sitehttp://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102583cp=2032052.2032066pg=9parentPage=familyThis is the exact one we picked upFROM RadioShack today but the buttons are not big enough. Anyway, it gives you an idea of what my other one SORTA looked like. Mine was just a little bit wider to accommodate the bigger buttons.I also live in an area whereby I can not just use voice dialing JUST by saying the person's name. When I lived in New York State ... for four dollars a month for my home phone .. I could get that feature. But that feature is not available anywhere on any plan HERE. Many cell phones come with that option but that is not what I am looking for.Just a nice inexpensive phone like I used to get from RadioShack.Any ideas? Thanks in advance! [QUAD-L] where else can the pain be
Sometimes I will ask my husband to apply pressure here or rub there and I findout that I have told him the wrong place. He says I wear him out before he even finds the area that is hurting me. The pain from the nerves surprise me about the location. When I go to have the botox injections in my legs we will mark my legs the night before. We have to do a a few at a time because I loose the ability to know the exact pinpoint area to shoot. My nerves in my legs are so fragile that the EMG machine is not much help. Re: [QUAD-L] LYRICA
It's usually called a kong. Its a chew toy the dog associates with play and affection with is his reward for performing tasks. Amazingly enough, service dogs for the blind rarely rely on such toys. The service dogs are so much smarter than drug or bomb dogs that they are often capable of getting their own food and water. I'm not putting drug dogs down because they do a fabulous job, and the bomb sniffers have saved thousands of lives. I'm sure some are probably as smart as service dogs. I did see a guy on tv who had his dog trained to sit in front of people with the largest amount of cash when given the command "where's the money?". lol I do love dogs and wish I had one. john In a message dated 10/23/2006 6:00:41 PM Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Drug dogs are rewarded with playtime.
