It's still not because I think the barners are that good, but we won't beat any ranked team without a QB. I thought the defense fought hard until the offense couldn't score the series after Pennington gave them a touchdown. What the hell are we going to do next year after Brodie gets hurt? We all know it's going to happen because the scrawny kid just isn't durable we're losing most of our OL. My question is why in the hell have we been wasting scholarships on Pennington Gilligan? I just don't get it. Even UAB Troy can find somebody that can complete a pass. Are we even trying to recruit one? He's had one recruiting class and they look impressive. I feel like we are going to be top-10 next year and at least competing for the National Championship in 2006. Am I happy with the last 6 years at the Capstone - HELL NO. But it ain't Shula's fault. He got here 18 months ago. Now don't get me started on the administration that made all of this the mess it is in the first place, but also don't blame the guy that is cleaning it up, and in my opinion, doing a pretty damn good job. Shula would not have been my first choice, but we put our selves into a position where we had to hire a career asst. Nobody else wanted the job. He is learning fast. I wish he didn't have to go through the learning process, but that's not Shula's fault either. Call me a Shulacrat if you wish, but I'd rather be called a Shulacan. The guy was dealt the worst hand imaginable and has done a pretty damn good job with it. He's had one recruiting class and they look impressive. I feel like we are going to be top-10 next year and at least competing for the National Championship in 2006. Am I happy with the last 6 years at the Capstone - HELL NO. But it ain't Shula's fault. He got here 18 months ago. Now don't get me started on the administration that made all of this the mess it is in the first place, but also don't blame the guy that is cleaning it up, and in my opinion, doing a pretty damn good job. Shula would not have been my first choice, but we put our selves into a position where we had to hire a career asst. Nobody else wanted the job. He is learning fast. I wish he didn't have to go through the learning process, but that's not Shula's fault either. Call me a Shulacrat if you wish, but I'd rather be called a Shulacan. I'm just tired of being a bitcher, moaner, whiner, complainer and creating a coaching turnstile. As far as this group goes, I love it. I don't agree with everyone, but so what, I never have. What do you expect, Pat? We live smack-dab-in-the-middle of the bible belt, were mostly hypocrites fill the pews each and every sunday. They complain about having to read the F word on an email list but think nothing about watching their sexy shows on TV, renting their soft porn videos at the local rental store, attending r-rated movies, ignoring their fellow church attending brethren when they see them at the local liquor store, etc. These are the people that drove me away from church and organized religion all together. Prch on Brother Rick. I gave it up for the same reasons. I realized that most women went so they could show off their new clothes. That was your choice. Nobody's fault but your own. You just did not find the right church. When I 1st visited my church, I had hair half way down my back and a beard. Nobody gave me a second look, they just smiled and made me feel welcome. That was a shocker to me. I walked in and saw a coffee pot on a back table90% of the congregation was in blue jeansa few Biker's for Christ and a Deputy Sheriff in uniform were sitting on the same row. One guy wears shoes once in a while. The sign out front says Come as you areand means it. Oh...and my pastor is a Bama fan as well.
