Juicing fresh organic produce is one way of concentrating nutrients. I
add a bit of Chinese Cucumber for a natural oxygen kick. I drink it
immediately and do not store it. Celery is said to be the perfect
electrolyte boost.

I would consider watermelon to be average or low, depending on what you
 compare it with.

The concentration of a given food has a direct bearing on the potassium
 content per 100 grams.
Some foods are highly concentrated while others are lowly concentrated. No
one eats a few pounds of raisins, almonds, or other nuts or seeds. Eating
several pounds of fruit and produce is possible and probably within a day.

Most of this academic stuff is irrelevant to most people because they do
not eat enough of the food for it to be of value.

Counting K mg is a lot like counting calories and playing Russian
roulette with the glycemic index. It is not going to make us healthy or
 provide us with adequate nutrients.

One must eat good food, regularly, continuously, for the amounts to add
 up enough to provide health.

I eat pounds of tomatoes per day and many pounds of watermelon because I
have them, I like them, and I consider them good food.

Most people never eat 2 to 4 pounds of tomatoes per day in their
lifetime. They never eat half of a 40 or 45 pound watermelon. Talk
about potassium . how many eat 50 figs per day?

The mickey mouse meals many people eat indicate they might as well give
up and hit the supplements several times per day.

Of course I know the people here are not the average people I am talking
 about.

I say again, I have asked many friends, how much potassium do we need
per day, and how much do you get? No one has given me an answer yet.

I am about tired of telling them my secrets of nutrition and health
which have been suppressed from the public all their life and mine as well.

We have to hunt and search, and search and hunt for the truth. Some of
us have found a small percent of it.

Potassium, like many other things has been a sore subject with me
because everyone ignores it and expects the cells to keep working like a
 fine swiss watch.

As far as I am concerned all fresh raw produce has the same amount of
 potassium.
Average about 300 mg per 100 grams. The nuts and raisins I eat daily
are some of the highest, about 700 mg per 100 grams.

All I can get and all I can eat should give me enough. And I still
pop a supplement from time to time.

Re: CSPotassium and Folic Acid Legal Limits

Your right, it is stronger and the 99mg is quite palatable. Nancy

Wayne Fugitt wfug...@direcway.com wrote:Evening Nancy,

It is hard to overdose someone with the oral , as it tastes so bad in
 liquid form.

The liquid I have, when mixed with water has virtually zero
taste. The material you mention must be more concentrated than 99 mg per
tsp. Even when taking this straight, it only tastes salty. Not bad for
anyone that likes lemons, grapefruit, dill pickles, and green persimmons.

However patients with renal problems frequently have high or retain
potassium and they are careful with foods and medication containing it.
Anyone irregardless of their health status can be harmed by too much
potassium.

At a recent outdoor event, while eating a banana, an acquaintance
walked up and stated,

I cannot eat anything with potassium.

I replied, . My friend, you are going to die. He said, I know
that. Then I said, Yes, but long before your time.

Fact is, some doctor told him to avoid potassium. I question this logic.

How can anyone avoid potassium? Think of the thousands of foods he
cannot eat.

Seems the doctor should have told him, Don't et anything high in
potassium. That would be a disaster also.

He does have some serious illness. I see him once a month. Maybe I
can find out more facts.

Anyone irregardless of their health status can be harmed by too much
potassium.

This is what my friends say ( to some degree) when I am griping
about the FDA limit of 99 mg per pill or spoonful.

Even the bottle of liquid states, Take one TSP per day. 99 mg ! Of
course I can take 3 to 5 or 10 tsp.

Since the beginning of modern record keeping, how many people do you
estimate have been killed by too much potassium? A few billion people
have to be penalized because some fool got the potassium bottle mixed up
with the beer bottle.

Most of us know about the limit of folic acid, .1 mg was the limit for
years. Everyone knows why this limit was set to protect a very small
minority of the people and penalize billions. ( Vegetarians with anemia )

The limit was increased to .4 mg and now .8 mg. I take several per
day. Fifty years ago, Adelle Davis suggested 5 mg per day. At that time,
I would have to take 50 pills. Today, I only need to take 10 or 20.

Many great doctors suggest many times the legal pill limit as the daily
intake of folic acid.

Finally, we know the FDA don't really care how many of us kill ourselves
with either their approved drugs or the ones we approve our self.

So, without question, they have some alterative motive for all these
unreasonable restrictions.

CSPrimary biliary cirrhosis

2004-03-09 Thread M. G. Devour
A friend writes to me:
I have been placed by the Mayo Clinic on the national waiting list for
a liver transplant. For many years I have had a condition called
 primary biliary cirrhosis.

It is considered an auto immune disease which destroys the bile ducts.
While I have been on medication (a bile salt called Urso) since 1991
the symptoms were slowed but eventually the liver is damaged enough to
fail and require transplant. That is the stage at which I am now.
One of the major side effects (besides liver failure) is fatigue, plus
jaundice and just an overall inability to do much, even think clearly
 some days.

Does anyone here have any thoughts or suggestions on effective
therapies for this condition?

Thanks!

CS might not help her condition, but I doubt it would hurt her. Colloidal

  Good luck to her.

she did, and received no reply and has already unsubscribed.

her question was; is cs safe for one who has been confirmed to have HH

it is a defect in 2 genes that cause the inhibition of iron elimination from
the body, resulting in myriad disorders relating to the breakdown of organs due
to buildup in cells of toxic iron levels...

is there no one here with such expertise?

My wife recently had a recurrent bout with rheumatic fever, using only her

and without blood tests. I assume she knew the symptoms as she's had the
recurrence 3 times before.

After 3 days of drinking 1 liter of CS a day, mixed with about 1/3rd

more days of half liter doses of the same, the symptoms disappeared.

Is it still in remission or gone?

We'll see, but at least this recurrence was a quick and inexpensive fixif
that is what she had.

All of the above took place about a month ago and she's still symptom free.

Re: CSPotassium - Debunking this very irresponsible series of articles

2004-03-09 Thread Ian_Ontario
  Generic Name Kayexalate
  Indications Hyperkalemia.
Dose 0.5-1 gm/kg/dose, made into a slurry with sorbitol, given as
retention enema at body temperature q 6 hours. Can also be given PO if
infant is tolerating feedings. Suspensions of this drug should be freshly
made and not stored beyond 24 hours.
Other measures that should also be considered: remove K from IV, IV
sodium bicarb, IV glucose insulin, IV calcium gluconate, hyperventilation,
exchange transfusion with freshly washed PRBC FFP, hemodialysis,
peritoneal dialysis.

  Route PO, PR
Action Kayexalate is a finely ground, powdered form of sodium
polystyrene sulfonate, a cation-exchange resin prepared in the sodium phase,
with an in-vivo exchange capacity of approximately 1 meq of potassium per
gram of resin.
Toxicity Since effective lowering of serum potassium may take hours to
days, treatment with this drug alone may be insufficient to rapidly correct
severe hyperkalemia associated with states of rapid tissue breakdown or
hyperkalemia so marked as to constitute a medical emergency. Therefore,
other definitive measures such as dialysis should always be considered.
Serious potassium deficiency can occur from Kayexalate therapy. Close
monitoring of serum electrolytes is imperative. Electrocardiographically,
hypokalemia is often associated with lengthened Q-T interval, widening
flattening and/or inversion of T-waves, and prominent U-waves. Also, cardiac
arrhythmias may occur, such as premature atrial, nodal, and ventricular
contractions, and supraventricular and ventricular tachycardias. The toxic
effects of digoxin are likely to be exaggerated.

Like all cation exchange resins, Kayexalate is not totally selective
for potassium in its actions, and small amounts of other cations such as
magnesium and calcium may be lost during treatment.

Kayexalate contains approximately 100 mg (4.1 meq) of sodium per gram
of resin. In patients who cannot tolerate even a small increase in sodium
load (i.e. severe congestive heart failure, hypertension, or marked edema)
compensatory restriction of sodium intake from other sources may be
indicated.

CSSilver values

2004-03-09 Thread Jonathan B. Britten

List,

Some discussion of silver investments has come up recently. I read
today an interview in which a noted analyst pointed out the following:

In 1980 you could buy the average family house for 1,500 oz. of silver.

Today it would take 40,000 oz. of silver.

There are a number of ways of looking at this, of course, but it
suggests that the price of silver is very low relative to another
real standard of value. NB the value of real estate is relatively
low in relation to stocks. It does lend some credibility to one
silver bull's argument that silver prices are artificially low due to
various manipulations of the price.

CSOregano Oils

2004-03-09 Thread Jonathan B. Britten

List,

Some members will be interested in the following, from Butch Owen of
Anatolian Treasures, r.e. oregano oil, which is almost certainly a
good product to keep on hand next to one's silver generator. Here
goes:

JBB

I'll point out the major differences in Origanums again .. below.
Keep in mind that the Origanum dubium Linalool shares many of the
therapeutic properties of Lavandula angustifolia and still contains a
fair amount of Carvacrol. Carvacrol is a wondrous and very special
chemical .. I have dozens and dozens of scientific studies on its
effectiveness .. its perhaps the best researched EO in existence.

 - - - - - - - - - - - FACTS ON THE ORIGANUMS - - - - - - - - - -

All of the Origanums except the Origanum dubium Linalool Type are
carvacrol-rich and carvacrol is the active therapeutic component
people seek. Higher carvacrol aromatic plants are more expensive
to purchase. We have some plants that will produce oils with
carvacrol levels over 80%. This simply means you get more bang
for the buck when mixing it with olive oil or whatever. You use
less oil to get the same results.

Origanum dubium (Linalool type) is in its own class .. a very nice
odor and dual therapeutic value. It's high in linalool, as is
lavender, and high in carvacrol, as is oregano. It has healing
properties of oregano and lavender .. so much so that the common
name in Turkey is Lavanta Kekik (Lavender Oregano.) It's endemic
to Turkey - not found elsewhere and even here it's only found in
a very small corner of the Southeast. When people get samples of
it from us, they buy it. I normally use it for inhalation and it
is great for diffusion - I love the odor.

Origanum vulgare is the best seller. Maybe people associate the
name and the fact that there is one company making some fairly
sound health claims and selling it as Oil of Oregano in a 10%
Oregano/90% Olive Oil mixture for as much as $29.95 per 2/3 ounce
bottle. So people see mine as being less costly. With mine, one
can mix their own and create a dozen bottles of the $29.95 product
for less than half the price.

Origanum onites has been the next best seller and that might be
due to some things I've written on it and a portion of the lecture I
gave at an AT Conference in Toronto, Canada in September 1999. I
presented research conducted by five prominent professors in
Turkey using Origanum onites in a project involving lung tumors in
rats,

using three different groups and three treatments, one of them being
normal cancer treatments. I presented the study, showed the audience
colored micro slides of the lung tissues. The Origanum onites not
only stopped the growth but also caused recession of the growths!
The lung tissue was reverting to its previously normal pink and
clear state!! I made it clear that this is not an indication that
it will cure cancer in humans but it shows a great need for
further research and such research is ongoing.

Origanum dubium is the next best seller, possibly because it
appears to have a lighter odor than the others. Turks generally
prefer it for home medication.

I prefer Origanum vulgare, Origanum onites and Origanum dubium for
kicking Big Bad Bug Butts but I do not make recommendations to others
on ingestion of essential oils. I recommend buyers consult their
doctor

prior to this manner of usage.

So - one can choose based on the above descriptions of each oil.
For colds and flu, I use the onites, vulgare or dubium. For
diffusion any one will do the job but just for inhalation, I'd go
with the O. dubium (Linalool type) because I love the odor. All
have proven antiseptic, antimicrobial, antifungal, anti-spasmodic
properties and they are believed to be capable of stimulating the
immune system

CSNewbie with rectal cancer

2004-03-09 Thread K Ott
Hi,
I have rectal cancer, am new to the list and need a crash course. A friend of
mine told me that Colloidal Silver might be of help. Does anyone have any
Colloidal Silver/Cancer testimonials?
How much CS do I need to take per day? Which machine is best for home use?
Can I use my tap water to make CS?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kathy

Kathy,

No to the tap water. It must be distilled water. You might look into the
Budwig diet. It is composed of flaxseed oil and cottage cheese.

Lots of people have found results with the Budwig diet.

Do a web search on Hulda Clark. She has a cancer theory that has great
logic and extensive advice on how to get rid of it.

My husband's lung cancer was cured using the procedures in her books.
I hope it helps you too.
