CS>leg cramps

2018-07-16 Thread Jean Baugh
Hi Helena,

One more thing is either a small amount of sugar, or apple cider vinegar will
stop muscle spasms. Saw a show on TV about weight lifters who could lift
anything and after half a teaspoon of sugar on the tongue, they were helpless.
I wondered about stopping asthma and later had a chance when I was carrying two
buckets of feed and goat kids climbing all over me, on a very cold night (no
coat), and suddenly could not breathe, for the first time ever; crawled back to
the house, tried to think and grabbed a coke with sugar in it. The caffeine
and sugar worked nearly immediately.

I started having these when I was put on thyroid medication. I have since
weaned off it. I do the mag chloride crystals too but mix it with witch hazel
instead of water so it is not so sticky.

At one time muscle cramps would involve opposing muscles. Nothing more painful
in
my experience as you have to endure them, you can't pull them out.

I have found that if I indulge myself with fruit, or Almond milk, I will
shortly experience
restless legs, then muscle cramps... and if I keep ignoring them, opposing
muscle
cramps. :(

And I've also come to recognize the energy that precedes restless legs.
And the sleeplessness that precedes that energy.

There is also a problem with my left hand 'freezing' into a claw to the point
that I have to grab each finger one-at-a-time and force them to open. This is
also magnesium related.

And as someone that never gets-around-to taking pills unless forced to

Helen,

Whenever I wake with a cramp (about once a month, usually my foot or big toe),
I limp into my kitchen and fix myself a glass of a product called calm. 2
teaspoons contains 325 mg of magnesium and it gets rid of the cramp within 5
minutes. I really rely on this product .

It might be an electrolyte imbalance, like PT suggests.

I do legs stretches while prone, stretching my arms above my head and pulling
my toes up toward my knees, or a full body stretch. Feels great to do these.

Would an Epsom salt bath help with the magnesium?

They are highly advertising a homeopathic cream?, for leg cramps on TV but don’
t know the name. Probably google would tell you. It starts with a T.

Re: CS>leg cramps

2018-07-16 Thread PT Ferrance
Hi Helen,Leg cramps can be do to a number of things.  I have found that an
upset balance of calcium and magnesium OR sodium and potassium can be the
cause.

I use ReMag because it doesn't cause diarrhea which can make the magnesium
deficiency worse.  I also use magnesium chelate.
Someone on another list wrote in about Good State Ionic Magnesium which is
available on amazon as well.
I hope you find something soon.PT

2018-07-16 Thread STEVE LEVINE
The easiest way to get a direct therapeutic dosage of magnesium into the legs
is magnesium oil which is absorbed transdermally. The most economic way is to
make the oil using mag chloride crystals 50/50 just add hot water and dissolve.
I use this one.

Hello,
There has been a conversation going on about the need for copper in the body
and people have written about colloidal copper.  Has anyone on this list made
colloidal copper?  If you have how did you do it?Thanks.PT
