Thanks for posting the Dr. Williams link, below, advocating the use of
niacinamide for treating Alzheimers. Wikipedia has some useful information
about niacinamide as well.

Here is a Government study of the safety of using niacinamide for treating
Alzheimers http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00580931

It was last updated in March this year, so perhaps the study is still
on-going.

RE: CSquestion regarding CS production

Use a LM334 current regulator. You can set the current much lower. I have
good results with 0.2 mA in a quart of H2O for 24 hours, no stirring needed.

Subject: CSquestion regarding CS production

Hi Guys,

I am very new to the list and I am sorry if am asking something that may
have been answered many times before (I couldn't find a FAQ .. or a sticky
post...).

It was from reading the excellent posts from this silver-list that I have
decided to make my own CS..

I used to buy my CS, however I decided to make my own CS primarily due to
the fact that the amount being used warranted that I make my own.

I got my friendly jeweler to rollout a Canadian maple leaf coin 99.99%
purity into a wire (bought from a respected coin dealer and also tested with
a silver testing kit, which gave me a rough idea that it wasn't a fake coin)

Then made a very simple circuit arrangement using a 30V dc power supply,
into an lm338 and also tried with a lm317 regulator used in a current
controlling mode, set to 1.5ma (since i couldn't get it to go any lower).

I am stirring the water with a motor which is spinning a plastic knife
around, in a 300g glass coffee jar, to delay agglomeration.

When used with distilled water (steam distilled by my friend with his own
distiller - he needs it for his silvergen sg6) - I have a water meter that
which measured 0 micro siemens for the water), I created bits of silver that
I could see visually... like very microscopic glitter, which I know is
incorrect and there were sparklies on top and sludge gathering at the
bottom...

I had an initial arrangement of 1 anode and 1 cathodes 15cm each 1.25mm
wide exactly, and then placed them 2cm electrode to electrode, which was
really bad!...

I then made an array of 3 anodes and 3 cathodes 15cm each 1.25mm wide
exactly, perfectly parallel to each other, and then placed them 3.5cm
electrode to electrode...which helped significantly... but still not
perfect..

water is room temperature and definitely no additives like salt, Bicarb or
even CS!...

Voltage does indeed drop slowly over two hours, and current maintained at
1.5ma and then hovers at around 5-6 volts which seems to be the saturation
point, when it first gets to around 6 volts i found its around 9 micro
seimens. but visible particles of silver.

I thought at 1.5ma for even 1 anode setup that I would be ok, and not
overdrive it... but clearly something isn't right

So I may have not done something right, or not understood the process, or
something could be faulty .. or a combination therein

Would you kind people help shed some light on what's going on here.

Many Thanks,

Asif.

RE: CSfiltering CS vs polarity switching

2011-05-20 Thread SJY
I got tired of manually cleaning and swapping my CS generator electrodes.
So I converted my homemade generator to electrically swap polarity to the
electrodes about every 15 minutes. I kept the same run time of 24 hours,
but I had to increase the constant current from about 0.2 ma to 0.3 ma to
end up with the same strength brew. Now I NEVER need to clean or swap the
electrodes. And no stuff sluffs off into the brew, so there is no need to
filter or carefully decant.

I highly recommend automatic polarity switching of current to CS generator
electrodes.

Well, each to their own I spose, but suffice to say I never want to see any
'stuff' build up on my electrodes. No big deal necessarily I guess, just
something I never want to see on my setup, which is why I clean my trodes at
regular timed intervals, if they need it or not. I don't have polarity
reversal on my gear, I just swap the trodes over as I clean them.

Nothing detrimental either, you can filter it as you say, or leave it behind
in the container. If you've got another use for that residue that's fine,
but if not, you got residue in the container serving no useful purpose. I
don't have a use for it personally, and I don't see a need to find a use for
it, so I choose not to create any 'debris'.

RE: CSTyndal Effect help

2011-05-11 Thread SJY
Anthony,

Faint Tyndall effect from a laser pointer generally is indicative of smaller
particle sizes, which is good. Usually slower brewing times at low
electrode current produces smaller particles. I would say you have made an
effective batch which is a mix of small particles and ions. The vote is
still out on what ratio of ions and particles is best - there is probably
a wide range that produces good results.

use a silvergen machine and deionized water that reads well below 1uS on a
hanna meter. After I am done I have a reading around 14uS and it tastes
like CS but I have little to no TE.
From my readings I understand the TE reflects bigger particles and the
meter measures the ions. The silvergen I am using should be doing aprox
80-85/20-15% of ions to particles. If I am not getting the TE does it just
mean I am producing less particles, or am I doing something wrong? Is my
stuff still effective with only ions?

You can just leave your CS in your quart jar. No need for special amber
bottles. This assumes you have made it with 0.999 or better pure silver
electrodes, steam distilled water and no other additives. But if you
insist, either funnel material is fine. Just first give them a rinse with
distilled water.

We've had some interesting results with the commercial solution and my

CSLipsomal Encapsulated Vitamin C

2009-09-19 Thread SJY
Brooks other experimenters,

1) Subject topic has been discussed and evolved for a number of weeks now.
Based on the results of those who are making suitable products, for the sake
of the rest of us who now want to make our own, please post your recipe of
ingredients (e.g. lecithin granules, sodium ascorbate), quantities of these
ingredients (by weight or by volume), your step by step procedure, and any
other helpful tips such as where you got your ingredients, what should be
avoided, storage life, etc.

2) Another question: is there any advantage, other than more volume
capacity, for the larger Harbor Freight US cleaner over their smaller one?
The larger one has a built-in heater, but is that of any use? Does the
larger one have more power density (i.e. power per cubic centimeter), or
just more power for more volume, ending up with about the same power density
as the smaller one?

3) Last question: Some products (e.g. MMS1) are recommended to not be
consumed within a few hours of taking Vitamin C. How would this
recommendation be applied for Lipsomal Encapsulated Vit C-same timing? In
other words, how do absorbsion and dispersion rates compare for Vit C
capsules vs Lipsomal Encapsulated Vit C?

Thanks,

Gina,

What works well for me is to use a Harbor Freight air brush (part number
47791-OVGA) with air coming from a Harbor Freight air brush air compressor
(93657-OVGA). Just put an ounce or two of your normal 5 to 20 ppm CS (EIS)
in the air brush reservoir, adjust the nozzle for a fine mist, aim it at
your mouth and/or nose and inhale it several times, and repeat this
inhalation procedure many times a day. Brooks Bradley, our resident list
expert in these matters, recommends supplying the air brush with pure
oxygen, instead of compressed air, but the compressed air seems to work fine
for me. Just be sure to use an oil-less air compressor so you don't inhale
oil fumes.

Several list members have experienced difficulty in obtaining reliable,
accurate indications of the actual encapsulation percentages..using the
Do It Yourself technique which I outlined in an earlier post. NOTE: The
methodology outlined IS NOT RELIABLE as a true indication of achieved
encapsulation levels of vitamin C. The ONLY truly reliable means of,
accurately, knowing the degree of encapsulation is via Electron Microscopic
observation. This entails preparation protocols/equipment beyond means of
most personseven most laboratories.
In my enthusiasm to avail list members of a SIMPLE protocol, which had
yielded results reliable enough to validate useful parametersI outlined
a test which is
NOT TRULY INDICATIVE of the encapsulated Vitamin C content.
For those of you who followed my instructions for making a general
determination of the approximate, percentage levels of encapsulation, the
discrepancy in resultsyou may have achieved, ARE NOT YOUR FAULT and did
not result from a broken protocol on your part.
Partial Explanation: There are just too many variables involved
(volumes/strengths/ratios) of the reactive materials, especially bicarbonate
and ascorbic acid fractions presenting. Just varying the velocity of mixing
can result in marked differences of the gas-release reaction. The gas
generation is NOT a true reflection of the percentage of non-encapsulated

RE: CSEICS colour?

2008-09-16 Thread SJY
Neville,

You probably won't like this answer, but here it is anyway. You should find
a source of steam distilled water such that your finished product has no
discernable color. Consider color as an indication that you are making
something less than an optimum product. In your case, your Pure Water is
probably a misnomer, and you may be making some silver compounds that cause
your brew to be colored. Stick with genuine steam distilled water. Unless
you know the specific types and quantities of contaminants in your water,
there is no way to equate color with ppm.

Subject: CSEICS colour?

Hi All,

Yep, I'm back! Assume everything has settled down so I thought I could come
out of hiding...joking of course...g

Perhaps someone could give me the colour ranges of LVDC CS, starting with
clear and progressing through the colour changes after that? Except
'black', don't bother with 'black' as I'm never going to go that far. My
research states 'yellow' is always the first colour which becomes apparent
when producing colloids. I have researched some information but prefer a
personal appraisal.

I am using Pure Water at the moment as the supermarket I usually get my
Distilled Water from is closed for refurbishment. Can't say I'm happy with
Pure Water though, even though I got it from the chemist 'cos this is what
they use in making up medications so I figured it should be pretty much the
best that is available for the man, oops, and woman in the street. I have
never had colour changes using DW in the past but with this PW the colours I
have got are...clear, yellow and 'pink-ish'. I have been starting to add a
quantity of previous batches of CS also and believe this could be the reason
for the colour changes, even though I use the same method of production and
time frame, (don't ask me why though, and I am aware of 'seeding' the
water). I don't usually add previous CS as a 'seed', I just use the water
straight out of the bottle. The ambient temperatures are starting to
increase here due to seasonal change so the reason could be simply that, but
somehow I doubt it. Every other time I have made CS in the past it has
always been clear, hovering around the 10-15ppm, (give and take depending on
what ppm I decide I want at the time), so have decided to stick with
Distilled, I definitely won't consider Demineralised.

These results are the reason for my question about colour changes.

Enn...dem...err...preferably under 1000 words? g

Just simple colour changes will suffice. A 'concensus of opinion' regarding
the ppm of each colour would also be helpful, so I can do a comparison with
my meter tested results. If your ppm results is with the use of the Com 100
TDS/EC/TEMP meter or Hanna TDS 1 'ppm...?' meter, perhaps you could include
that also so I know what meter to use, (I have both), OH, and I will need to
know what setting the Comm meter is set on. I also know about the use of
meters in testing 'ppm' when they are basically only conductivity meters but
if I use the same setting as you then I will be far better able to make my
comparisons. Information I have states the Com 100 meter should be set to
either EC/KCl or Nacl for colloidal silver. Don't bother with water
temperature as I haven't checked my water temperatures before/or during
production anyway, I'll just 'read between the lines' so to speak, it's only
to give me a fairly good idea that's all, to narrow down the 'guesswork'
without laboratory testing, (cash and the lack thereof).

You see, I know that there are several of you here that have been 'into' CS
for quite some time so thought I would ask you 'straight up'. This way I
will know 'straight from the horses mouth' so to speak, and it can be
considered more 'trusted and reliable'.

CSPolarity Reversal

2008-08-29 Thread SJY
I am interested in your educated thoughts regarding polarity reversal of
constant current DC being supplied to the electrodes. Specifically, how
would one optimize the frequency of polarity reversals, given brew the time
(and possibly the current), to minimize the buildup of crud on the
electrodes? If the reversals are too fast (e.g. many reversals per second),
the ions will not have time to get from one electrode to the other, and brew
time will go up substantially. On the other hand, if the reversals are too
slow e.g. a few times per brew time), then I suppose this might defeat the
advantage of less crud buildup on the electrodes.

In my case, I use 5.5 inch electrodes spaced about 2 inches apart, with a
constant current of 0.25 ma for 24 hours. This makes a very good product
with very small particles. Based on your experience, what would be the
recommended range of time between reversals, and what is the basis for your
recommendation?

Thanks,

Steve Y.

Subject: CSRe: CS Systemic Action

Greetings to all!

I just rejoined this list after an extended hiatus of several years.

Mike D.'s invitation was simply irresistible.

Anyway ... I am interested in systemic action.

I formerly generated HVAC with a generator sold by some guy(s) in N.I.
15,000 kvolt neon transformer ... either 60 milli or micro amps. Can't
recall which, but the current was sufficient to scare the daylights out of
me a few times (milli vs micro is a major difference ... surely it was 50
micro amps?)
The manufacturer entombed the innards of the unit in electrical tar ... an
apparent attempt to protect their proprietary interest.
A lame grade switch eventually gave out ... rendering the unit useless for
much of anything besides a door stop.
Attempts to remedy the switch fell upon deaf ears with the boys of N.I. ...
even though I nearly lost the life of a close family member who did not
respond well to a silver embargo.

Fortunately, a friend who had purchased 2 different units over the years
with my input, came through for us. He shipped a loaner out ... a high
volume constant current Low Voltage AC unit. My family member was so ill
that the home health care nurses had refused to continue care unless their
patient was transferred to a hospital.Fortunately, I was able to restore
their supply of CS ...sent a mixture of CS Aloe in a sprayer bottle The
wound care nurse had come out for a last inspection, and to sign off on the
case ... on a Tuesday. They had last examined their patient on the
previous Thursday morning. In that short period of 4 - 5 days, the pressure
sores were all but healed. The nurse was quite curious about this major
turnaround ... followed up with a query for information on this treatment.
Hopefully, this Nurse has shared this information with other patients. I
had purchased a 1 oz. bottle in sprayer at a local health store ... don't
recall the brand .. it was not any of the major labels ... nor have I seen
this brand since. My friend's unit arrived the day after

I started generating a huge supply of CS with my friend's high volume unit
(constant current low voltage AC) back in Nov. 2004. My first dose was
approximately 3 or 4 oz. of 12ppm (measured with a Hanna PWT ... believe
that was calculated in microsiemens, and then adjusted for PPM ... it's been
quite some time since I've reviewed the math.) A few hours later, my head
started aching rather fierce. I finally made the connection of a possible
Herxheimer effect ... one that was confirmed a few days later with another
less robust dosage.
This herx effect eventually wore off after using the product regularly
... yet it would return if I did not consume product for several months and
consumed a robust dose.

Yet, I never had experienced a herx with the HVAC product ... even with 6
to 8oz dosages. I soon lost interest in my door stop. If anyone can tell
me how to fix it ... or if they are interested in taking it off my hands,
please write!

It is my opinion that the low voltage AC product provides a systemic action
that the HVAC product simply could not deliver.
Perhaps this was simply the result of the electrode configuration? Or is
the HVAC methodology less effective?

The HVAC product worked great on kidney infections ... urinary tract ...
eyes ... and topical ... but never did I noticed any systemic benefit like a
respiratory illness or influenza or even dental infections for that matter.
The HVAC was somewhat beneficial for sinus comfort .. but it worked much
better when combining it with MSM (methyl-sulfonyl-methane.) Btw ... anyone
notice how well MSM CS works when nasal sprayed for snoring?

thanks for following this far! I'm on the digest mode ... so if you'd like
an immediate and/or personal response, you are always welcome to write
direct. Please insert an ALERT in the subject line if you write direct
... I might miss it otherwise.

best regards,

JD Kalloco

For the benefit of new list members, it would be good if some of you would

And could someone explain why the FDA has not shut them down like they have

RE: CSNewbie - Just began making CS - SilverGen questions

2007-11-21 Thread SJY
Mary,

Welcome to the list!

It is normal to produce a little bit of sludge along with your product.
Just let it sink to the bottom and carefully decant off the good stuff,
leaving the sludge a bit of liquid. Then dump out that residue. I don't
recommend using a filter as it will just contribute unwanted chemicals into
your batch, and it is an unnecessary pain to do it. You can store your
product in the jar you made it in if you wish. And you don't need to clean
the jar before making another batch.

If your generator doesn't automatically reverse polarity as it runs, and
both electrodes are silver, it would be a good idea to swap the electrodes
each time you make a batch so they get consumed evenly.

Subject: CSNewbie - Just began making CS - SilverGen questions

Hi all, I'm new to the list . I heard of this list through Beck n
Stuff yahoo group. These questions may have been asked a gazillion
times in the past but I had difficulty finding the list archives. so
here it goes...

I've been using cs for about three years (myself/kids and pets). Up to
this point I got my cs from a friend but I wanted the independence of
making my own so I bought a generator.

I just received my SilverGen unit last week and began making my own
cs. I am using distilled I made using a steam distiller. Up to this
point I am using a 32 oz glass jar. I was thinking I would prefer to
make a gallon at a time. I do have 1 gal wide mouth glass jars.

I don't have any form of TDS or PPM meter so I have no idea exactly
what the final results have been. I have the meter set to high.

Although I have been using cs for almost three years I have some
newbie questions in terms of making cs on your own.

A couple of observations I wanted to bounce off others who making
their own, especially if they are using the
SilverGen...

Sludge build up only on one side. Is this normal only to build up on one
side?

Ash? What is this?
In the 4th batch, I noticed what appears as a small ant hill like pile
in the bottom of the jar.

Once the build up on the silver was visual, I began wiping the silver
clean before beginning the next batch. I did have a laser, one of my
cats favorite toys :o) so I checked the solution and was able to see
the laser line through the solution. With the help of the laser I was
able to confirm that here were different particle sizes visually in
suspension that were not visible to the naked eye. The product does
have a silver taste. What I am referencing as ash is NOT metal fallout
as I know it. After I noticed this result I stopped production.

The solution is CLEAR, no presents of color.

Do I simply filter this batch or discard? If have you all used to filter cs?

Any suggestion and comments are welcome.

Mary

some of the black silver residue is there on one electrode, but there is
hardly any white silver residue (which I believe is silver oxide?) at
all on the other. Sometimes I make a batch and there is so much of that

don't understand, there is hardly any, and because of that, I didn't

There are many electrolyte products much better than Gatorade.
How they sell so much of the junk is beyond me.

Alacer makes an electrolyte product that is better.
Even their simple Emergen'C is better.

I have a relative that works in a foundry. He sweats all day long.
He said that before Emergen'C, he did not even feel like going home at the
end of the shift.

Now, he takes 3 packs of Emergen'C per shift and feels good at the
end of the sweat session.

He has to climb a ladder with 50 pounds on his shoulder. That is plus body
weight of course.

RE: CSCS generator

2007-06-30 Thread SJY
Keith,

The best way to use your 30 volt supply would be to add a constant current
diode in series with one of the wires going to your electrodes. See
www.mouser.com http://www.mouser.com/ and search for J504 and J506.
These are 0,75 mA and 1.4 mA, respectively, and cost $1.62 each. I would
recommend the lower current one. It will take longer to brew a batch, but
you can probably get away with not needing a stirring mechanism because the
natural thermal gradients will do it for you.

Having a constant current means you will generate CS at a constant rate
which means you can use a timer for fairly repeatable results. Roughly
speaking, you can generate a quart of very fine quality CS with 0.75 mA in
about 8 hours with a strength of 10 to 15 PPM.

Then you should buy a Hanna PWT to make sure you have high purity distilled
water to start with. It should read in the 1 to 4 PPM range, lower being
better. You can also use the PWT to measure your brew to get a rough idea
of how many PPM of silver you add to your distilled water. I say rough
because the PWT actually measures the conductance of the brew which is a
measure of silver ions in the water and only an indirect measure of the
silver particles.

With the above, you don't need to use an LED and resistor.

wanted something that will let me have a constant voltage and milliamps but
I figure it would drop with batteries. I will need a LED and a resistor but
don't know if I need a 1000 ohm or a 2000 ohm resistor or what I will need.
Any info would help. What do others use to make quality CS that they have

wanted to make a ac to dc generator. Thanks..Keithmj

CSFoot bath gunk extractor

2007-05-06 Thread SJY
List,

Long ago there was a discussion on the list of the use and benefits of a
device consisting of a foot bath container with electrodes immersed in the
liquid in the bath. When energized, various colored streams of gunk would
be drawn out of the feet, allegedly.

If you have any information about such a device, such as how it is made, by
what principle does it work. For example, what voltage, frequency, pulse
rate, etc. is applied to the electrodes, what is the liquid used, and does
it use CS/EIS (I don't think so, but I threw that in to make it barely on
topic!) and who sells them, please let me know. Others may be interested,
so just post responses on the list.

CSRE: Microwave Ovens to make CS

2007-04-13 Thread SJY
To all who contemplate using a microwave oven power supply to make EIS/CS:
You are dealing with about the same high voltage and current as is used in
an electric chair to execute people!! It can just as easily kill you if you
don't know what you are doing. I have years of high voltage experience, and
have produced seven foot arcs (Tesla Coils), but I would NEVER use a
microwave oven to make CS because it is too dangerous. There is just no
reason to do so. You can make large quantities using safe, low voltages.
The good ones work unattended, so it doesn't really require more than a
minute or so of your time to set it up and turn it on.

Again, I urge you to stay away from lethal voltages and currents associated
with microwave oven power supplies!!

Re: CSPuzzling Polarity

2006-11-28 Thread SJY
Wire works fine, is commonly available and is easy to work with. The only
reason to use sheets is the increased surface area. However, you can use
multiple wires for more area as well. The only reason for needing larger
surface areas is for faster production of a given quantity, or a larger
quantity in a given time. But one can run many CS generators using single
wires to achieve greater production.

The more important consideration is the current per unit of surface area.
Lower current per unit of area makes for a better product (e.g. smaller
particles). My generators use #12 0.999 pure silver wire, 5.5 inches long,
spaced 2 in a quart of steam distilled water, using 0.2 milliamp for 24
hours, no stirring used. The result is a superb product.

To answer your question better, you need to specify what quantity of EIS you
need to produce in a given time. If you don't need large quantities and are
not in a particular hurry, then use the more easily obtainable wire. If you
need to make a lot of product in a short time, then use silver coins, silver
sheets or many silver wires.

Julius,

This question is to you, and anyone who knows the correct answer. In your
post, you state . .. Sheet electrodes are greatly superior to

wire as far as we are concerned because of the greatly enhanced area

we believe that this produces a greater proportion of ICS.We have

seen medical reports that ICS is much more deadly to pathogenic

organisms than the de-ionized CS. 700 + organisms at last count

Others have posted that wire is superior, because sheet stock causes
buildup of silver oxide at the sharp edges. Also, I note that most of the
commercially available CS generators, except the silver-gen, are constructed
with wire electrodes. A vendor of an engineered CS generator argues that
sheet stock is the cheap way out that his competition has chosen. You see
that there is much contradiction and confusion here.

Would someone who knows the facts please state them in a definitive way so
that all of us newbies can construct a good generator? Which is really best?

Re: CStechnical question

2006-11-24 Thread SJY
Peter,

Just to help you many others understand wall adapter current ratings
better:

Your transformer is actually a transformer and a rectifier combination
that puts out DC power. It only puts out the current that the load
consumes. Open circuit, your transformer puts out zero current. It is
capable of putting out up to 0.4 amps, if the load resistance is low enough.
Typically in home brew CS applications you will be drawing currents 100 to
1000 times less than your wall adapter is capable of producing. As most
wall adapters are unregulated devices, under the light loads of a CS
generator, the output voltage will be up to about 1.4 times higher than that
stated on the label.

Your sentence would be more correct if you said my transformer is capable
of putting out 0.4 amps.

Re: CSPolarity Switching ?...-Some thoughts about it.

2006-11-24 Thread SJY
Carlos,

In practice, it takes a finite amount of time, every time the polarity is
switched, for the flow of ions to stop and reverse direction. During that
time, ion production is less. So in practice, a polarity switched setup
will produce less silver in solution than an unswitched version, keeping all
other parameters the same.

Some people, myself included, just switch electrodes every batch to keep
electrode wear the same, and don't bother with the extra complication of
polarity switching. Going another step, if you reduce the constant current
to about 0.2 milliamp (0.0002 amp), so that your production takes 24 hours,
you can eliminate stirring as well. The normal Brownian movement of the
water will be all the stirring that is needed.

If you need higher production, your wall adapter can run up to hundreds of 1
quart CS generators at the same time, each consuming only 0.2 milliamp.
Just add a 0.2 ma constant current diode in series with each quart brewer
connect them all to your wall adapter. An ppripriate diode is 1N5283 (0.22
ma), available from Mouser.

 Friends,

From what I understand, the object of polarity switching in the process of
brewing AIS is to eliminate the normal silver oxide accumulation in the
cathode and the harder coat of silver oxide in the cathode, which
maintains
 both electrodes clean.

A determinate ammount of silver oxide will be produced in batch A
without
polarity switching, which at the end of the process will have produced a
noticeable moderate dark grey beard on the cathode.

If we have an identical batch B (identical water quality and ammount,
temperature, process time, current flow, container, electrodes, etc.) and
have polarity switching during the process, I assume aproximately the same
ammount of silver oxide will be produced, but instead of accumulating it
is,
in every switching of the polarity, solving into the water, aside from the
ions and colloidal particles being produced.

If, after batch A is finished, the current is stopped and the electrodes
left in the produced EIS, after a few seconds the cathode beard starts
turning into a cascade mostly dissolving in the produced batch, and a
smaller part sedimenting at the bottom of the glass jar.

If this is the case, the only basic difference between A and B would
be
cleaner electrodes in B. Both will have a determined ammount of silver
oxide incorporated, instead of being cleaned off at intervals during the
 process.

 Carlos

Re: CSQuestion about stirring mechanisms

2006-10-03 Thread SJY
Here is the easiest possible stirring mechanism - don't use any at all and
let nature do your stirring for you!! Here's how:
If you aren't in any particular hurry to generate your EIS (a.k.a. CS), you
can drastically reduce the current through your electrodes and let natural
thermal activity (called Brownian Motion) take care of stirring for you.

For example: In 24 hours, a constant current of about 0.2 mA (that's a
fifth of a milliamp) through 5 electrodes spaced 2 apart in a quart of the
purest distilled water you can get will make a superb product (i.e. crystal
clear, tiny particles and a concentration of somewhere in the range of 12-18
PPM). It needs no stirring, no external heat source to induce thermal
convection, no pumps, no timer, nothing extra. I have been doing this for
years and have been highly satisfied. Just put your generator some place
you visit every day so you remember to shut it off after it has run a day.
Mine is on a bathroom counter where I brush my teeth each evening.

If you are handy with electronics, or know someone that is, I can send you
directions on how to make a simple 0.2 mA constant current supply (send me
an email request privately).

CSMorgellon Type Illness - A different view

2006-05-28 Thread SJY
Folks,

I too looked at a few Qtips with a strong magnifying glass, and on one I did
see one or two of the fibers moving around. I was very careful to ensure
there were no air currents. BUT, as an electronic engineer with some high
voltage experience, I hypothesized that the movement could be caused by
electrostatic fields in the vicinity of the Qtips. Things charged with
static electricity (high voltage DC) can exhibit some dynamic activity as
the charge leaks off, and/or external things (e.g. hands) move in the
vicinity and change the electrostatic field geometry. There are all sorts
of things in our environment that can generate electrostatic fields, such as
TV picture tubes (not the LCD type), shuffling on carpets, moving air from
vacuum cleaners or furnaces, air ionizers, weather phenomena, etc.

A few of the cotton fibers appear to be highly sensitive to electrostatic
fields. You can see this effect for yourself by using an ordinary comb (not
metal) that has been drawn through dry hair, your cat's fur, etc. If you
then bring the comb near the Qtip, you can see the fibers move , and you can
control the movement by moving the comb around, moving your hand between the
comb and the Qtip, etc.

What is needed are controlled experiments of observing cotton fibers in an
environment completely void of electric fields (do the experiment in a
conductive grounded container, with shielded and grounded magnifier, ground
straps for the observer, etc). I believe some of you have the ability and
wherewithal to conduct such experiments and report your results to the list.
Any takers?

Re: CSMaking CS

2006-05-24 Thread SJY
Joseph,

My homemade generator uses a quart mason jar, with #12 vertically mounted
silver wires spaced about 2 inches apart whose ends are about 3/4 of an inch
from the bottom. I use a constant current of about 200 microamps and let it
brew for 24 hours. The very low current produces very fine particles and
doesn't require mechanical or thermal stirring (the Brownian motion provides
sufficient stirring). I don't use polarity switching, but I do swap the
wires every batch so they wear out evenly. Be sure to use only steam
distilled water.

If you are handy with electronics, I can send you a schematic of the
constant current supply I use. The parts cost around $15. Or, you can
simply buy a constant current diode from Mouser Electronics and put it in
series with a 24 volt DC wall transformer available from Radio Shack or
Jameco or many other sources.

Re: CScurrent regulating

2006-03-01 Thread SJY
Mouser Electronics www.mouser.com/centralsemi. You want a current regulator
diode which you simply connect in series with one of the leads going to an
electrode. They come in various current ratings starting at 0.22 mA on up
to 4.7 mA. Some part part numbers are 610-1N52xx, where xx is 85 for .27
ma, 91 for 0.56 ma, 94 for 0.75 ma, 97 for 1.0 ma and 99 for 1.2 ma. You
are better to go with less than one ma and let your generator run for a
longer time; this yields smaller particles. Cost is about $2.

I hope that no one minds my repost. I did not receive an answer to my
inquiry and I am quite sure the answer lies within these borders

I have been using with success a funky Silver generator that does not
have current regulation. I have come to use a magnetic stirrer for a long
time now and that was a huge breakthru, then I added a voltage limiting X10
unit that I have to push a button to adjust. It works OK, but I have never
added the current limiting diode that would keep the limit on my system.

I may even have received this info before and I know it's been discussed
muchobut, what is the elec gizmo I need, where do I get it, and how is
it installed?

Marshall,

I found the best cure is to change your email address and only give it out
to selected people. Better is to have 2 email addresses - one for your
regular close network of friends and coworkers, the other one to use where
there is a risk of it getting sold to spammers. Changing the latter when
you start getting spam again is no big deal doesn't require notifying many
people.

List,

(yes, this is off-topic). I would appreciate any reports of health benefits

Re: CSOle Bob's Constant Current CS Generator

2005-11-11 Thread SJY
I use 24 volt wall wart DC adapters, which, with the negligible load of a
CS generator, put out about 30 volts. Of course, the constant current
regulator automatically adjusts the voltage across the electrodes to
maintain the constant current. I estimate after 24 hours with 5.5 #12
silver wires spaced about 2 inches, the PPM is around 12.

I like the LM337s because they allow setting the current with a single
resistor. The constant current diodes someone else mentioned work fine, but
they are fixed current, cannot be adjusted, and cost a lot more than the
LM337 does.

Re: CSTrem..nebulizer.

2005-10-13 Thread SJY
Deb,

These are similar to the ones that were sold by Walgrens Drug. They use a
wick that contacts an ultrasonically vibrating plate with small holes in it
to allow the liquid to be propelled through the plate into the air. When
they work, they work well. My experience is that they sometimes fail are
not particularly reliable. But for the price, you can get several
probably at least one of them will last a long while.

My only question was how well does CS migrate through the wick? Would the
particles get partially filtered out while the ionic component would be
unimpeded?

Subject: CSAirbrush as nebulizer

I'm not telling anyone to do this. I'm just relating what I am doing.
Remember, nothing in the way of equipment listed here is in any way
approved
 for medical use.

Compressor- a commonly available small OIL-LESS air compressor; these
things
are NOISY. Cost around $150. I bought the smallest lightest I could find
at the time, since then I've seen a smaller one at Lowe's.

Regulator- a commonly available subcompact air pressure line regulator.
These regulators have trouble being reliably adjustable at below 20psi.
These usually come on the compressor these days.

Hose- standard black vinyl, red rubber, pvc or urethane air hose. Cheapest
is all I need for this. I'm using the one that came with the compressor.

Airbrush- Harbor Freight airbrush kit model 1500. Cost me $25 with
shipping.
HF is terminally slow with the cheapest shipping option. It took two weeks
to get here and their distribution center is 100 miles away.

Standard brass 1/4 quick disconnect fittings between the regulator and
main
hose, and between the main hose and the small airbrush hose in the kit.

The kit comes with two glass bottles, I use the smaller one. The metal
cup
is useless for this purpose. Save the larger bottle in case the small one
 gets broken.

At 15 psi, this airbrush puts a out a fine mist that appears to be every
bit
as fine as the mist form the nebulizer I've used for years. The main
difference is that it is pressurized. A nebulizer chamber atomizes the
liquid but disperses the pressure, so there is no pressure into the mouth.
 Disadvantage- makes me want to resist breathing it;
Advantage- would be good if breathing were difficult.
20 psi is too much. This is not for a child to use unless an adult is
controlling the trigger. There is an adjustment at the nose of the
airbrush,
keep it tight for finest mist.

At 15psi, I have the option of closing my mouth around it or holding it
out
of my mouth and breathing the mist.

The really big advantage is that this arrangement will conserve both the
CS
mixture and the air used. The compressor won't run nearly as much as with
a
nebulizer chamber since I am shutting the air off after every breath. This
would be particularly advantageous if hooked it to a bottle of oxygen
(with
an oxy regulator!!!). If I have to stop, I don't have to get up and cut
the
air off, but of course that could be fixed on a nebulizer with a valve
 in-line close to me.

Speaking of oxygen, you can buy small tanks with some metal cutting torch
outfits. I came upon mine, brand new, because someone traded in one of
those
tanks for a larger one at my local welding shop. I bought the tank for
$50.

The trigger is a button on top that has a double action. You must depress
it
and pull it back to get full fog. If you don't pull it back you're only
 getting air.

This was worth doing to me, but then I love playing with this kinda stuff.
 Guy Thing.

CSMagnetized Water

2005-07-18 Thread SJY
Folks,

I built a so-called water magnetizer and did some experiments. I used two
very strong magnetron magnets (from microwave ovens). The North poles were
facing each other on oposite side of a plastic bottle about 3 inches thick.
I added room temperature filtered tap water and let it sit in the magnetic
field overnight. I sloshed the water around a few times while it was being
magnetized.

Using two different ranges of pH paper, I measured the before and after pH
of the water. Out of the tap it measured a bit below 7. The disappointing
thing was that the after Magnetizing the water measured exactly the same -
there was no change in pH.

So, either my experimental technique is wrong, or the concept of
magnetized water is a bunch of hooey. I am thinking the latter, but
welcome your comments.

I will make one more run with N S poles facing each other to see if makes
any difference.

As an aside, I have proven for myself that passing a DC current (10-12 ma)
through plain tap water does result in a change in pH. I used two plastic
containers with holes in each container with a porous membrane (artificial
chamois) clamped between the holes. After an overnight run, the two
containers that started with water with a pH of about 7 ended up about 8
(slightly alkaline) and 6 (slightly acid). However, after half an hour or
so, both containers reverted back to being about 7 again.

So, list members, what are the safe, economical ways to make stable alkaline
water?

Dan,

Thanks for you interesting but disturbing results with the Jupiter water
alkalizer. Since many people use water alkalizers, I am trying to reconcile
why you had the bad experience. Please tell us if you can:
1) What was your body pH after drinking the alkaline water for a while?
2) I assume your Jupiter model had adjustable settings. Were you using the
highest alkaline pH setting? Do you know the pH of the water you were
drinking?
3) How much did you drink a day?
4) Besides the bad side effects, did you notice anything good?

Anyone else - what has been your experience with ionized alkaline water?

Thanks,
--Steve Y.

I have a Jupiter water ionizer and several of us used it for several
months. Symptoms after a few months included dry and peeling skin,
aggravation of psoriasis/eczema-like skin areas, drying and cracking of
mucus membranes and rectal bleeding, general digestive upset.

I did not think that it improved the taste of water, rather you could
taste and feel that it was alkaline and not neutral. After a time we
could not tolerate it even on the lowest settings.

It did have a nice water filter with silver in it which we still use...

CSWater Ionizers / Alkalizers

2005-03-31 Thread SJY
Folks,

I would appreciate anyone who has experience drinking alkaline water,
produced by a commercial or home-made water ionizer, sharing their results.
From what I read on the web, they are constructed something like a CS
generator, but have a permeable membrane to keep the acid and alkaline water
separated, the electrodes are typically titanium, and they cost a lot - over
$500 usually. I suppose if one used silver electrodes, one could have the
benefits of EIS as well as high pH water. Might this be the next advance in
CS generators?

Does anyone have plans for building one? Has anyone built their own, and if
so, what are your results? Terry Chamberlain posted a website that had
plans for one, but it was not a flow-through version, and I think there
should be simpler designs and construction methods.

Thanks,

CSdose PPM, quantity frequency

2005-03-29 Thread SJY
Mike Monett others,

It's interesting 20 us CS apparently didn't help with your mold problems,
but 40 us did. What puzzles me is why double your 20 us dose wouldn't
accomplish exactly the same thing?

In other words, why shouldn't 2 ounces of 5 uS or PPM have exactly the same
effect as 1 ounce of 10 uS or PPM? Does it have something to do with the
rate of absorption per fluid ounce, and if it isn't strong enough, the body
gets rid of it faster than it can accumulate to do some good? Comments
anyone?

As a general rule, I think all CS List posters should specify PPM (or uS),
quantity and frequency of ingestion when they report the results produced.
E.g. I drank 8 ounces of 10 PPM CS 6 times a day for 3 weeks and it cured my
Lyme Disease, or whatever. Just saying you used 10 PPM CS doesn't tell the
whole story.

CSBody pH

2005-03-26 Thread SJY
I have been reading some things that suggest as we age, our systems tend to
become more acidic, and this in turn makes our systems more vulnerable to
disease (e.g. cancer) and eventually death. Some advocate ingesting foods
or other organic or inorganic compounds to shift one's pH to be slightly
alkaline.

Has anyone had any experience alkalizing their bodies? For example, is
anyone having good results with a product called Alkaline Body Balance, or
others like it, to mitigate cancer or other medical problems?

To keep it CS oriented, I would assume there would be no harm in taking
products to increase body alkalinity (e.g. potassium or cesium salts) along
with doses of Colloidal and Ionic Silver. Comments?

CSPyro-Energyn

2005-02-18 Thread SJY
All,

I looked through the website to try to determine how the pyro-energyn device
works. It appears to produce some sort of high voltage very low current
output coupled to the body via bare feet on the device. Whether it is DC,
AC, constant or variable frequency, pulsed, etc. I could not tell. How it
can produce the seemingly miraculous claimed results is also not specified.

The claim is that it works with negative static electricity. Taken
literally, static means DC. Perhaps it is just a current limited negative
high voltage supply of several thousand volts? In that case then perhaps
the surface of the user becomes a large negative ion generator? If so, how
in the world can that affect us internally, except through the inhalation of
negatively charged air? But there are plenty of air ionizers used
throughout the world with no significant attendant reduction in viral
diseases.

So, can anyone shed some details on the device? How and why does it work?
Is it for real or another quack device to rob you of about $800 dollars?
Seems like one could build a similar unit for considerably less cost, if one
knew the electrical specifications of the output.

Laurie,

You must look into getting this machine, the Pyro-energen. It was
discovered by a Japanese MD and is now being manufactured in the US and
Phillipines. It works through negative static electricity... absolutely no
side effects but kills any and all virus in the body. It does not kill
bacteria but most Leukemia is virus induced (even if ultimately caused by
chemical exposure or radiation, this damages the cells/immune system that
allows the virus to infect cellular DNA). One case cited cured his leukemia
in ONE WEEK.

 Best of luck.

CSPMR

2005-01-28 Thread SJY
Anyone have any reliable information regarding treatments for polymyalgia
rheumatica (PMR) besides the use of steroids (e.g. prednizone) and
inflammation/pain reducers like ibuprofin? These control the pain but are
not very effective in curing the problem. Most literature regarding PMR
says the cause is unknown, and the cure seems to be the passage of time -
perhaps 6 months to two years augmented by 5 to 10 mg daily doses of
prednizone. Are there known useful alternative treatments, e.g. colloidal
silver, that can speed recovery?

Thanks,

CSCo-Q-10

2005-01-17 Thread SJY
All,

My wife I have been taking Co-Q-10 for so long that we have forgotten why
we do it! It is getting more expensive, and we are wondering why we should
continue with it, or if there are other less expensive products that do the
equivalent thing. I do remember that the body naturally produces this, and
the amount it produces tapers off as we get older. Are their techniques to
utilize more of the supplemental Co-Q-10, similar to mixing Gatorade with
EIS? Yes, this is off-topic, so just a quick answer we can drop the

CSColloidal silver/gold

Dear alchemists and chemists:

1) can gold and silver be alloyed together?

2) Would electrodes of Au/Ag alloy work in a low voltage DC constant current

gold would stay in the electrode?

Anyone actually tried it and determined what mix of gold silver gets
electrically isolated?

Subject: CSMy startling allergy discovery

I've reported on several forums for a couple of years now about how I've
beaten most of my allergies with MSM, Bragg Vinegar, and local raw honey; I'
ve also reported how sleeping on a Crock Device has generally kept my
sinuses clear of nearly everything else.

What I haven't reported is that there have been a very few but very notable
exceptions of allergy attacks that have occurred mostly at night that I had
not the foggiest notion of a cause.

I've finally nailed it down. It has taken 3 distinct and memorable attacks
and one instant of blinding realization, but I've got this thing hammered
down now: It is CORN!

CORN CORN CORN CORN CORN!

I won't try to bore everyone with all of the specific details of the three
attacks, all of which have happened within the last two months. I'll try to
keep this to the essentials.

I have generally avoided corn for about 2 years as part of trying to lower
my carb intake, and as part of realizing that whole grains in general are
not good at all for me and my metabolic type, and that modern grains bear
little resemblance to the foods our ancestors ate. But, I am a child of the
American South, and avoiding corn altogether here is dang near impossible.
Why who ever heard of such a stupid thing; corn being bad for you. I grew up
on corn, corn soup, corn on the cob, creamed corn, cornmeal mush, cornbread,
hushpuppies (deep fried corn meal fritters for you non-southerners), and
grits. My grandparents would roll over in their graves if they knew what I'm
saying.

At this time I think grits are not at fault. Grits are ground hominy, which
is corn denuded of its bran and germ by a lye soak. I think it's the germ,
not the starchy insides of the kernel, to which I'm allergic. Anyway, grits
are nutritionally worthless, and I rarely eat them these days.

But there it is, without going into all the details, I've found that I am
very badly allergic to corn.

This goes a long way towards explaining my 17 years of chronic sinusitis,
and may explain some of my lapses of health in the past 5 years of recovery.
Just this past late winter I had 2 months of sickness that I just could not
understand. I have stated on these forums that I thought it was because I
got slack with all of my various health routines. Now however, I distinctly
remember going through a period of eating corn chips back then. Could it be
that I unwittingly set myself up for all of that sickness with my appetite?

To all of you who are dealing with allergies, you've got something else to
consider now. It may be what you're eating as much or more than what you're
breathing.

Daddybob, a corn eater no more.

Re: CSFiltering CS

2004-07-18 Thread SJY
Terry,

Just let the particulates settle to the bottom - you might have to first
stir to break surface tension if they are floating on the surface. Then
just carefully decant off the clear liquid and dump out the liquid solid
stuff at the bottom. Filtering often adds more stuff then it takes out
unless you have very good filter media (coffee filters seem to introduce
chemicals into your brew - recommend not using them).

I would like to clarify an issue I read about here before I got a CS
generator, but can't recall the consensus. Now that I'm making my own CS
(Silvergen SG6), if I get above about halfway on the setting (roughly 5
ppm), I get gray particulates floating in the otherwise clear liquid
(sometimes I even get a few at 5 ppm).

Should I filter these out (via a coffee filter or some other type of
filter), or is it okay to leave these in the CS and consume them?

 Thanks,
 Terry

All,

White LEDs are especially good indicators at low currents. I have built LED
flashlights that are always idling at about 30 microamps (0.03 milliamps)

A white LED should be quite noticible at 0.2 ma.

 be
able to set the current to what you like (within reason!).

 Nice circuit, nice drawing.

Thanks. Electronics is what we do for a living.

 One question.

Have you checked the brilliance of the LED at that low current? Likely
some of the smaller ones will work fine.

Most LED's will light dimly at this current. When I did my tests on the
de-ionised water at 0.2ma, you could see the led lit very dimly. It was
quite a bit brighter when the test stopped at 0.8ma

An alternate method to make larger quantities of CS is the continuous flow

The wet and cloudy weather creates fungus problems with my plants,

I would like to make, 2, 3 or 5 gallons per batch.

I can fabricate the electrodes and voltages in virtually any fashion.

The problem and question relates to the containers. I have no large
glass
 containers.

Seems when I quit wine making, I gave away all my 5 gallon glass
containers.

I have plastic containers or all sizes, 5, 15, 25, 55 gallons and larger.

What would be the effect of making CS in a 5 gallon or 15 gallon plastic
 containers?

I suppose I could do multiple gallon glass the way Terry does it. Still,
I rather have one large container with a spigot of the bottom.

Any ideas or suggestions such are voltages and electrodes appreciated.
For
the electrodes, I was planning to wind a coil of silver wire. I buy 100
 feet at a time.
