Description of problem There is more than one situation: *Window-Eyes will cause a dialogue to appears that says Window-Eyes has stopped responding. Trying to get focus to the dialogue and pressing the spacebar to activate the OK button gets ris of it. Then using the window-Eyes start hot key, alt+control+W calls up WE again and no error report is generated. *Widnow-Eyes will stop working with no error. The only thing close to a pattern is that this often happens just before I get an updates are available notice. *Outlook 2013 is set to check spelling before sending. I use control+enter to send the message. The spell check routine comes up. At the end of the check there is an error. Sometimes it is the Outlook enhance app that tanks and sometimes Window-Eyes stops working. Generally an error report is created and I always send them. Pressing Windows Key+R to call up the run dialogue and typing in a URL will cause IE 11 to launch. May be half the time Window-Eyes stops working. Sometimes Window-Eyes will continue working again. When it doesn't recover on its own, there is no error report to send. No fancy web sites, I usually just call up Google, www.google.ca or Winnipeg Transit's mobile page http://m.winnipegtransit.com. I don't include the http:// prefix in the first instance, because the www is enough. 2. Computing environment: operating system version and architecture (32 or 64 bit), Window-Eyes version and synthesizer Windows 8.1 64 bit pro version, Intel I5 4 cores 2.5 ghz. Office 2013 for business. AMD bios. 6 GB installed RAM. I am running Window-Eyes 9.1 using either Microsoft Hazel or eSpeak. 3. Exact steps to duplicate the problem (including web page address if applicable) This is difficult. Often it is when IE 11 is launched or a new page is called up in a new tab. Sometimes it is during spell check before sending a message. I use three user accounts. I usually don't sign out, I just switch users. If Window-Eyes is having a problem in one account, chances are when I return to another, WE is not speaking. There are even times when I am just using Windows Explorer to move or copy files around various folders or devices. WE will stop working, but not as often as when browsing, calling up a browser or while in email. 4. Expected results I don't understand this question, I expect Window-Eyes to keep speaking to me. 5. Current results Again I don't understand this question. 6. Any additional comments (e.g. does this issue happen with other screen readers, can you duplicate it reliably, etc.) These problems do not occur when I use NV Access or Sa To Go. At work, I am using JFW 15 on a Windows 7 64 bit pro version. It is running on an HP laptop that is five or six years old with 4 GB of ram and an older Intel processor. None of these lock up situations happen. The version of Office at work is 2010 pro. That is not a reasonable comparison. And I no longer have admin rights to install the software I want to use. Spell check WE hot keys do not work for me in Office 2013. I have tried to re-install WE and the various apps with the same results. I have tried using FireFox instead of IE, however that didn't help We with the stability issues. Even when using the WE mouse keys the behaviour is odd. For example if I press the key to move the mouse pointer to the top left of the screen, I can still press the key to move the mouse pointer up a line and WE continues to read more text. This is also the case if I press the go to bottom left corner and use the mnouse down key to read more. Top left or right and bottom left or right behave exactly the same. RE: restoring windows.
Hi: When you do a reset, you are given 2 options. The first one lets you restore Windows and keep all your files. The second one removes everything and re-installs from the factory image. Under that second option, you can choose to just remove your files or erase the hard-drive. Usually, the just remove my files is the quickest option. It deletes everything and does a quick-format. After your computer finishes grinding away, with Windows 8.1, you should be able to press Windows-key plus Enter and Narrator will come up. Then, you can hold the caps lock key down and use the left and right arrows to navigate around the screen. If you want to click on an option, you can press caps lock plus space to click on an item. Even when using the WE mouse

I need help finding questions
Hi all, I received an email asking if I would like to be in a focus group which will pay $100 if I am selected. I went to the survey I need to fill out, which I have done before. This time, the first question was whether I was male or female. There was a radio button that said male, then under that the word male was repeated. The same was done for female. So, I hit the space bar for female. Then, when I went to the next question, I found the radio buttons that said yes on the button with the word yes under the button. The same was done for no. But, I couldn't find the question. What should I do? I have been able to do these surveys from the same source in the past. I tried turning on forms mode, but that didn't do any good. Thanks for your help. Paulette ___ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared. RE: fire fox updating itself
You might find that even after unchecking the update box, Firefox will still try to perform the update. If that happens, you can stop this behavior by renaming the firefox.exe to firefoxold.exe and then launch that renamed executable. This will force Firefox to create a new firefoox.exe which will then recognize your current version and stop trying to automatically update. -Original Message- From: Carol and Roger via Talk [mailto:talk@lists.window-eyes.com] Sent: Friday, July 10, 2015 7:28 AM To: Butch K; Window-Eyes Discussion List Subject: Re: fire fox updating itself Tools, options, advanced check never update.
