Re: First Generation iPad For Sale

Hi, I believe the reason why you didn't get any response is because your
price in not realistic. I buy those all day for about $90.00 and resell
them for about $175. if you really wanted to sell it you would have asked
for about $100 to $125.

I am selling my First Generation iPad, 16 GB, Wi Fi only.
It is in very good condition, almost like newm with the exception of a

 there.

Included is a leather case slash stand, which is worn, but still
 useable.
There is a small square of Velcro on the back of the iPad which
prevents the iPad from slipping out of the case.
I have erased and reset the iPad and turned voice over on.
The charger and USB cord is included.

I will put it up on Ebay for $200.00 if there is no interest here,
but I thought I'd give you all the first shot.

$175.00 plus $5.00 shipping the the contiguous 48 United States.
Payment of $180.00 is by PayPal.

P.S. Reason for selling... I bought an iPad Mini

Perhaps Apple are planning on releasing one, if not, perhaps they don't want

I'm not saying that is right or wrong, just, that there is always a reason…

Kick Starter projects are becoming ever more common place, and the general

Caleb, all of the discussion about Braille Touch has the user holding the

We recommend using a case with BrailleTouch for several reasons.
1. A case will help you grip the phone from the sides with both hands.
2. On the iPhone the speaker is under the Home button. A case will help keep
your hand from blocking the speaker, if you use the speaker and not
headphones. (The speaker location on the iPod touch is not an issue.) 3. A
case will help orient your fingers on the screen when you are typing.

It may work for you without a case. Please try the app with the free version
first.

you need to be stationary either if you mean sitting down somewhere; i think
i can do it standing or walking somewher where I am familiar with my
surroundings and not needing to use my cane. But then I don't type anyway
without these factors. I'm not typing on the virtual keyboard or pulling out
my bluetooth keyboard in situations where I'd have to balance them while
trying to get somewhere though I'm sure some have the skill to do this.
Dictation also has its limitations in a noisy environment so whatever you
do, there are limitations. That's why it's good there are several options.

Re: BrailleTouch app cost comparison

2013-01-06 Thread BrailleTouch

Hi Sandy.

Thanks for your question. We designed BrailleTouch so that you hold the
phone in the special way, with two hands in landscape and the screen
facing away from you. The advantage of doing this is that it allows your
fingers to naturally fall on the touchscreen braille keyboard without
any tactile landmarks. We have tested this with many blind users with
great success!

Some people have told us they have also had success laying the phone on
a flat surface and typing with BrailleTouch. We have not officially
tested this, so we don't officially support this way of using the app or
include this in our User Guide. However, I encourage people to try this
out if they would prefer to type this way. This is one of the reasons we
offer a free trial of BrailleTouch, so you can see how it works for you
before purchasing the upgrade. We welcome any feedback on using
BrailleTouch in this non-standard way. For this way of typing to work,
you will need to make sure that your left hand stays on the left side of
the screen for dots 1-2-3, and your right hand stays on the right side
of the screen, for dots 4-5-6. Otherwise BrailleTouch will become
confused as to what braille characters you are typing.

Please try the app with the free version
first.

Caleb

They recommend a case but I don't think I need one; I'm not planning to do

you need to be stationary either if you mean sitting down somewhere; i think
i can do it standing or walking somewher where I am familiar with my
surroundings and not needing to use my cane.

Hi Rebecca,

BrailleTouch supports regular uppercase numbers. You type the number
sign, then the letters A through J for numbers 1 through 9 and 0. We
also support the decimal point, slash, and the letter sign.

On a related note, BrailleTouch is based on the BANA Grade 1 standards.
We support numbers, capital letters, and most punctuation.

RE: Books and Nls service

HI,
For whatever reason, Learning Ally chose to set it up so you can't search
for the books from within the app and down load them directly.
Perhaps you could contact Learning Ally's customer service and request that
they change this approach.

Hi Teresa,

I have a question. The other day I opened the LearnAlly app on the phone.
With Learning Ally, one pays a subscription like Bookshare. In the Read@Go
app, one can search and download periodicals and books. Why can't one do it
in the Learning Ally app. It's running on the same principle. I understand
that one needs to purchase the books or magazines from the 3rth party and
then sync it to the phone, but in the case of Learning Ally, I don't think
it should be this way. HTH.

Re: braille touch question numbers

2013-01-06 Thread BrailleTouch

Hi Kathie,

Thanks for your interest in BrailleTouch. We will release BrailleTouch
on the App Store by the end of the month. There will be a free version
so you can try it out first. The paid version allows to you send text
messages, emails, tweets, and copy text to the clipboard from the
touchscreen braille keyboard. I will post the exact release date on the
viphone list when we get the confirmation from Apple.

You can read more about how BrailleTouch works, including a User Guide
and FAQ, at our website:

http://brailletouchapp.com/

Thanks,
Caleb

RE: braille touch question numbers

2013-01-06 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Kathy,

This is not a physical keyboard but an app which allows you to use Grade 1
braille to type text on your touch screen.

I won't go into this further because this has been discussed to death in the
last week or so already even though the app will not be available until the
end of January.

You can lookup Braille Touch in the archives or go to their website at
www.BrailleTouchApp.com and read all about it. There is also a Podcast
demonstrating how this works on www.Applevis.com.

Regards,
Sieghard

BrailleTouch supports regular uppercase numbers. You type the number sign,

On a related note, BrailleTouch is based on the BANA Grade 1 standards. We
support numbers, capital letters, and most punctuation.

Yes, it is odd, but that is the way Learning Ally designed their process.
I think they have become more responsive to their customer base in the last

On the podcast, Mr Hanson says he holds the phone in the palms with the screen

Re: BrailleTouch app cost comparison

2013-01-06 Thread BrailleTouch

Hi Reggie,

Actually, in BrailleTouch, dots 1, 2, and 3 run down the left side of
the screen. Dots 4, 5, and 6 run down the right side of the screen. The
three keys for each hand are turned sideways, but you still use the same
fingers as you would on a standard six key braille keyboard.

Here's a description from the User Guide on our website:

We designed BrailleTouch so that you hold your phone in two hands with
the screen facing away from you. Let's get familiar with how to hold the
phone. First, pretend that you have a Perkins style braille keyboard on
a table in front of you. Place your fingers on the imaginary six keys on
the table. The first three fingers of each of your hands should be
touching the table. Now lift your hands up, and turn your hands so your
palms are facing each other. This is how you will hold the phone when
typing in braille.

Now pick up your phone and turn it in landscape orientation, with the
long side going from left to right. Flip the phone around so the screen
is facing away from you, with the Home button on your right. Hold the
phone between your two hands. Some people support the phone by pressing
in with the palms of their hands from the left and right sides. Some
people hold the phone with their two thumbs on the top and their little
fingers on the bottom. Make sure the first three fingers of each hand
are free to move and are not touching the screen, so you can type with
them. Try different ways of gripping the phone until you find what is
most comfortable for you. When you are comfortable holding the phone in
this special way, you are ready to start BrailleTouch!

For best results, we recommend using a case with your iPhone or iPod
touch. This will help you grip the phone in two hands. In addition, a
case will keep your hand from covering the speaker under the Home button
on the iPhone. If you use headphones, we recommend either using a
Bluetooth wireless headset, or using a right angle headphone jack so you
can grip the phone comfortably.

I hope this helps!
Best,
Caleb

Yes, thanks for the confirmation about the location of the dots. I noticed this
in the podcast. I had also been picturing a line of dots running from left to
right across the long edge of the phone. Now it is clear that there are two
groups of dots: 1-3 at one end of the phone and 4-6 at the other end. Although
I read the manual, I did not understand this at first. I still think this will
not be difficult to learn at all for quite a few of us.

RE: Another example of Apple being super stupid

2013-01-06 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Matthew,

Thanks for referencing that article. It goes to show what public opinion can
do, but it's too bad that Apple needs the spanking first and to me the fact
that they changed the rules shows that it was not a driver or technical
issue where Apple shot down the project in order to prevent a bad product
from coming to market. In any case, it's good to know that public opinion
can influence even powerful corporations and let's not kid ourselves,
companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Samsung etc. are powerful and can
ride rough shot over smaller companies if they want to.

Yes and you don't have to buy it if you can't afford it either. There is
a free demonstration mode as part of the Duxbury program where saving is
disabled and a watermark appears when translating to Braille. Otherwise

 Den 27/12/2012 kl. 13.31 skrev BrailleTouch viph...@brailletouchapp.com:

 Greetings and Happy Holidays!

My name is Caleb, and I'm one of the developers of a new iPhone app called
BrailleTouch. BrailleTouch allows you to type using braille on your
touchscreen, and is based on the standard six key braille keyboard. We are
excited to announce that BrailleTouch will be on the App Store by the end of
January! We hope that you will like BrailleTouch and find it useful. I'm
happy to answer any questions you may have, and I've included some more
 information about the app below.

With BrailleTouch, you can send text messages, emails, and tweets from the
touchscreen braille keyboard. You can also copy text you type in braille to
the clipboard and paste it into other apps on your iPhone. There is a free
version of BrailleTouch, so you can try it before you buy it. The free
version lets you type in braille and hear the text you entered. Many braille
instructors have told us that they would like to use BrailleTouch as a
teaching tool, which the free version will support. Additional features are
available as In App Purchases. The Messaging Upgrade allows you to send text
messages, emails, and tweets from the touchscreen braille keyboard. The
Clipboard Upgrade allows you to copy text from the touchscreen braille
keyboard and paste it into other apps on your iPhone.

BrailleTouch is based on research conducted at Georgia Tech in Atlanta,
Georgia, USA, where I am a graduate student. My colleagues and I tested the
software with eleven volunteers who are blind. We found that people who knew
the standard Perkins braille keyboard were able to master BrailleTouch
within an hour of practice and type at an average of 23 words per minute
using Grade 1 braille. We received such positive feedback that we were
inspired to take this research out of the laboratory and release
BrailleTouch to the public. We hope this software will provide a helpful
alternative to the VoiceOver split tap keyboard, and that it will help
improve the mobile computing experience for people in the blind community
 who use an iPhone.

BrailleTouch is fully compatible with VoiceOver. It works on the iPhone 3GS
through the iPhone 5, iPod touch models since the 3rd generation, and
requires iOS 5.0 or a later operating system. BrailleTouch is only for the
iPhone and iPod touch, and is not supported on the iPad. The first release
is based on North American English Grade 1 Uncontracted Braille. You can
choose to hear speech feedback for each character you type, each word you
 type, or both.

More information about BrailleTouch is available on our website:
 http://brailletouchapp.com/

The website includes a User Guide and Frequently Asked Questions. You can
also sign up for our email list, and we will notify you when we have an
exact release date in January for the app.

 We are also on Twitter:
 https://twitter.com/brailletouch

With the free version of BrailleTouch, you can try out the touchscreen
braille keyboard and hear the text that you typed read back to you. The
Messaging Upgrade allows you to send text messages, emails, and tweets, and
costs US$9.99. The Clipboard Upgrade allows you to copy text from the
braille keyboard to paste into other apps, and costs US$9.99. You must have
the Messaging Upgrade first before you can get the Clipboard Upgrade.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have. We are very excited about
the upcoming release of BrailleTouch on the App Store. I hope that you will
like BrailleTouch and find it useful.

 Best wishes and happy holidays,
 Caleb

Re: Using Spell Checking on the iOS devices

2013-01-06 Thread Dan
Hello Jenn,
Thanks a bunch for the tip and the AppleVis podcast.
I'll listen to it and perhaps it will further assist me in getting this whole

Thanks,

First of all, you cannot correct spelling errors after you are done with
your typing. As you are typing, it will say something like. aple

you delete the space, then you can flick left or right to find your spelling
word if it is listed. I hope I didn't confuse the heck out of you. AppleVis
did a great podcast on spell check function. I suggest you give it a listen.

 Thank you so much!

 Hello List,
If anyone on the list has really achieved really good results with spell
checking on the iOS devices, please if you don't mind, give a step by step
from start to end of how to correct spelling errors. I sure would appreciate
it. I also suspect that many others on the list would also like to be able
to use the spell checking function.

 Thanks in advance.

Jana, The NRSV is on bookshare. But I don't think you can search it within read

can't get rid of the verse numbers, so far as I know. Maybe when they update
the app, the NRSV will be in there.

Switching from Apple TV to Regular TV

2013-01-06 Thread Lynda Ingraham
Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to switch between the Apple TV and cable service easily? A
sighted friend told us the only way to switch between the two is by using
the Time Warner remote. When we selected the source button on the TW
remote, nothing happens.

Is there a setting that we need to change using the apple remote that would
allow us to change between Apple TV and standard cable?

We have an Iphone 4s and an Ipad 4.

I apologize in advance if my question isn't clear and concise. Any help
would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Editing Text With Braille Touch

2013-01-06 Thread Arnold Schmidt
I have listened to the podcast, looked through the topics list in the manual,
and the faq, and did not find an answer to the following. If I have written
several lines and want to edit them, can I do this within BrailleTouch, or do I
have to paste it into whatever I am sending and then change it? I assume that
what I am writing appears in the center of the screen, between the two rows of
dots, so I am hoping I perhaps can use the rotor and edit within BrailleTouch
itself, or there is some other way to edit text.

I plan to purchase this app, even if you answer my question no. Thank you very
much for producing it.

Re: Recording, Or Taking Notes On, A Phone Call?

Hi folks,

Currently I am able to use List Recorder to record a phone
conversation. It only works in speaker phone mode but the quality is pretty
good. Here is what I do.

the phone call must be started first.
I then press the home key and go to List Recorder.
I then start a new recording.
Now the other person's voice is recorded as it comes out of the speaker and
mine is recorded normally. I find this useful when I need to remember
information being given to me over the phone.

RE: Location services - impact on battery

2013-01-06 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Keith,

In the list of apps that you allowed to access location services you can see
if an app has used location services in the last 24 hours. One good way to
try this is by using SIRI or an app like Ariadne or Sendero. In my opinion
it doesn't matter how many apps you allow to access location services, as
long as you are not using those apps it shouldn't affect your battery. So, I
could have 5 navigation apps which are allowed, but if I make sure they are
closed and probably best removed from the app switcher and if I never use
one of these apps for an entire month then they should have no impact
whatsoever on your battery.

I found location based reminders do make a difference as Reminders checks
your location quite a lot so you may not want to set a reminder saying
Remind me to call John when I get to work knowing you have a week off and
won't get to your office during that time.

If you want to conserve battery it is better to turn WiFi off if you are out
and about and don't use it since I find WiFi does make quite a big
difference, probably more so than Bluetooth.

Sieghard

Hi,

I notice that there are 2 components to Location Services. The category
itself can be toggled On and Off, and under that, any number of apps can be
individually toggled On and Off.

Is battery drain primarily from the category of Location Services being
toggled On, or is the impact of multiple apps with Location Services toggled
On much greater? Will enabling Location Services for 15 apps drain the
battery more than enabling Location Services for only 5 apps? Or, is the
battery drain from Locations Services a function of the category being
enabled, and enabling app Location Services just allows those apps to access
the info already onboard?

Thanks for any insights.

Keith

RE: Editing Text With Braille Touch

2013-01-06 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Arnold,

I am not the developer, but I am 99.99% sure that you will first have to
either send your text to mail or messages or copy it to the clipboard and
then put it into an app like Notes, Mail or any other app which is basically
a text editor. This is the same in Fleksy, both these apps are basically
keyboard apps which offer an alternative input method only.

RE: Switching from Apple TV to Regular TV

2013-01-06 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Linda,

How you switch depends on how your cable box and Apple TV are connected. If
you have a TV which has multiple HDMI inputs which most TV's do nowadays and
you have your cable box on HDMI 1 and your Apple TV on HDMI 2, then the only
way to switch is to use your TV's remote and use the Input selection
feature. Unfortunately most TV's have a button for this, then pressing that
button brings up a menu on the screen which shows all your inputs and you
would have to use the arrows on your remote and the enter button to select
the one you want. This could be done without sight provided the menu focus
is always at the top so you know you would have to arrow down once or twice
or something like that.

I have a surround sound receiver, all my sources (satellite, blueray player,
Apple TV etc.) are connected to the HDMI inputs on the receiver and the HDMI
output of the receiver is connected to HDMI 1 on my TV. This way I never
have to do anything with the TV except turn it on or off and, unless
somebody is around who can see, I don't even turn on my TV. The receiver's
remote fortunately has shortcuts to the most common inputs on the remote so
I know which button is HDMI 1 (my satellite), which one is HDMI 2 (my
blueray player) and which is HDMI 3 (my Apple TV). This setup is a bit more
user friendly, but if you use a TV maybe ask a sighted person to figure out
how to change it and teach you the combination of buttons and arrow keys you
need. First of all you have to of course understand how your cable box and
Apple TV are connected, but unless your Apple TV is somehow connected
through your cable box, changing things with the remote for it won't help.

Sieghard

Re: Editing Text With Braille Touch

2013-01-06 Thread Arnold Schmidt
If this be the case, that is too bad. I understand that Apple won't let these
alternative input methods be substituted for the apple keyboard on their
phones. Let us hope (wish?) Apple would offer the developers of Flexy and
BrailleTouch a multi-digit figure for their apps and include them as
alternative input methods in the future.

I am not the developer, but I am 99.99% sure that you will first have to
either send your text to mail or messages or copy it to the clipboard and then
put it into an app like Notes, Mail or any other app which is basically a text

Mary, there are lots of free accessible bibles in the app store, with
descriptions about them. I have kjv (lookunder that) by itour

you can read about it. also there is the bible just called bible,
which someone from here showed us. it says something about from live tv,
but put out by online Bible. This has 37 versions and you can really
access all of them. some downloadable and some playable. I just got
this, and it is wonderful. Did I mention free for both?

Re: Editing Text With Braille Touch

2013-01-06 Thread BrailleTouch

Thanks for your email, Arnold.

We wish that Apple would allow alternative keyboard apps for iOS, and I
suspect that other developers such as Fleksy do as well. We have built
an in-house version of BrailleTouch for Android phones. Android will
allow alternative keyboards, so BrailleTouch would pop up for any text
field in any app instead of the standard mini-QWERTY keyboard. It works
very well, and even supports Grade 2 braille!

Unfortunately, the Android accessibility layer, Explore by Touch (which
is comparable to VoiceOver), is not compatible with multi-touch input.
BrailleTouch relies on multi-touch input to make a braille keyboard work
on a touchscreen. We have spoken with the engineer at Google who wrote
Explore by Touch for Android. He is great, and was very helpful and
supportive. We are excited about the potential to release BrailleTouch
as an alternative keyboard for Android phones, pending a future version
of Android where Explore by Touch is compatible with BrailleTouch and
multi-touch input.

Strange problem with Do Not Disturb.

2013-01-06 Thread Kawal Gucukoglu
Hello.

I've had this problem for some weeks.

I have a schedule for Do Not Disturb for example, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
However, this is not working and it has not been working for some weeks. It
doesn't matter if I switch the phone off or on or I get rid of everything from
the Appswitcher. I think this feature stopped working a couple of weeks ago.
Any ideas? I did however had to restore the phone due to Voice over not coming
back on after switching it off.

If the pending item does not let you bring focus to it to type the letters

you an error saying the word is filled in. Either way go back to the

Steve Job's first IPhone story

2013-01-06 Thread Lauren Simmons
Hi all,

Since this is an apple product related list, just thought I would pass on a
link to a very funny 60 Minutes piece on a very talented
product designer. I'm particularly interested in the anecdote regarding Steve
Job's cancer and the gift he gave his friend--The
first model IPhone. Listen to what happen when Steve Jobs tries to activate the
phone via ATT. I especially appreciate his advice
to David--don't waste your time with alternative medicine.

Re: Editing Text With Braille Touch

2013-01-06 Thread Lauren Simmons
HI,

after reading the FAQ, and as I understand, doesn't this BlindTouch seem like
an accident prone way of typing? If you're standing,
and if you hold the IPhone or IPod touch in the horizontal manner as suggested,
typing with fingers at the top of the device or
typing with fingers at the bottom of the device, the IPhone or IPod will be
held with a very loose grip. This is especially true for
characters that use upper and lower characters such as S and T. In other words,
this does not seem like a very safe manner of data
entry on an IPod or IPhone. For those who own these devices, just simulate
holding the device sideways and try typing each character
of the word nuts as in walnuts. This is not a problem if one is sitting, but
if one is standing up right in a line, you'd better
hope there is carpeting under you.

Re: brailletouch podcast backwards

2013-01-06 Thread RobH!
I'll quote from the user guide on the web page:-

Holding the Phone

Welcome to BrailleTouch, an app that lets you type in braille on your
touchscreen! We designed BrailleTouch so that you hold your phone in two
hands with the screen facing away from you. Letapos;s get familiar with how
to hold the phone. First, pretend that you have a Perkins style braille
keyboard on a table in front of you. Place your fingers on the imaginary six
keys on the table. The first three fingers of each of your hands should be
touching the table. Now lift your hands up, and turn your hands so your
palms are facing each other. This is how you will hold the phone when typing
in braille.

Now pick up your phone and turn it in landscape orientation, with the long
side going from left to right. Flip the phone around so the screen is facing
away from you, with the Home button on your left. Hold the phone between
your two hands.

end quote.

So even this has ambiguity, if you rotate a line from top to bottom so it
goes left to right; the Home key would be on the right; quoting a line
from bottom to top and rotating it is a tad unusual.

I prefer the Home button to the right as that puts the speaker nearer my
best ear.

I suppose the first time we try it, all will become clear, tap the corners
until it says A!

Re: BrailleTouch app cost comparison

2013-01-06 Thread RobH!
I agree with you, if it fulfills a real need for an individual, it is worth
it to them.
I'll have to see how it pans out in GBP mind, amazing how much stuff comes
over from the us and we are charged the same in £ as you in $ which is
something like a 50% ripoff. I think Apple do enough of this though they
don't do the full $ to £; but neither is it anywhere near the exchange rate.

I am guilty in commenting on the price of this app too. If this app will do
what it is expected, then it it worth the money. I would like to know how
many of the list has Readp2Go or Digit-Eyes? Apps are the same price and we
use them on a regular basis. If this app does what it is intended, I will
purchase it. There are many people on this list that would love to have a
Braille input device, but don't have the means to get one and this would be
a wonderful solution.

Best,
Caleb

Cheryl,

Good catch! If you lock your phone in portrait, then BrailleTouch will
work with the home button on your right, from the perspective of the
screen facing away from you. It will be locked in this orientation.

If you do not lock your iPhone, then BrailleTouch will work in both
landscape orientations, depending on which way you hold the phone. So
Michael Hansen is correct in his podcast. He was just holding it in the
other landscape orientation. Regardless of how you hold the phone if it
is not locked in portrait mode, dot 1 is your left index finger, dot 3
is your left ring finger, dot 4 is your right index finger, and so forth.

I hope this helps.

Good rubbery case, easy to fit, don't add too much bulk, cheaper, but stil

Hi,
I'm the developer of Voice Dream Reader. You're right: text navigation with
VoiceOver on needs work. I'm thinking through this problem carefully and
will have a good solution soon.
For now, you can do a search in the text to find the Title, for example,
and make a bookmark there. I know making a bookmark requires the imprecise
long-press on the screen. It may help to know that when it navigates to a
piece of text through search, the text is about one quarter down from the
top of the screen.
My goal is for you to do everything around long-running content with one
text to speech readers. I think we'll get there soon.
Best,

  Thanks Rick,
If one is going to read many Bookshare books, this app is pretty much
not there yet if you can't skip the notice and other preliminary
  regions of a book.
I agree, it would be nice to access more file types with Read2Go and I
would like to see more Acapella voices available. Perhaps if enough
people contact both Bookshare and the Voice Dream Reader author we can
get something going. Given the voices choices, Voice Dream is a very
appealing option, not to mention the price, but I'm not willing to
listen through that notice section and all the table of contents,
reviews, etc., in Bookshare books. To me, the $19.99 was well worth
it for Read2Go just to easily navigate the books.

  Richard,

I did use this app to download a BookShare title but found no good way
to move past the copywrite text. If you tap the editor button, you
get a message stating that the document is too large to edit. It's a
shame as this could be a really great app for reading but has some
major accessibility issues that currently don't make it a great choice
for a blind user IMHO. As others have already stated, the real text
area where one can interact with the text with various gestures is
totally invisible to VO. I do plan to contact the author and give
this feedback. It's interface to BookShare is pretty nice and straight
forward so I hope the app gets better.

Actually, what i would really like to see is the Read2Go app simply
added more supported file formats and it would be perfect. I haven't
purchased it for that very reason, only BookShare books are supported
and for $20 I would want more formats, at least text, PDF, and epub
 without DRM of course.

  Best,

That is rather easy to do with Read2Go.
Plus, you can have access to the text, which also means you can read
  with
a braille display if you use VoiceOver instead of the Acapella voice.
  Thanks,

I'm the developer of Voice Dream Reader. Please email me next time at

Are you using the latest release, 2.6.2?
If so, can you email me and tell me which book you're trying to download?
Thanks,
