One problem I have had is that somehow I have the wrong user ID saved into the 
user ID field and can’t figure out how to get rid of it.

And when I log into my Bank of America app, I have to remember that the field 
where you type in your password makes a sound like something is wrong. It makes 
that sound each time you type in a letter. However, the letter is actually 
going in correctly. It is confusing using voiceover. But if you don’t pay 
attention to the sound it is making and you assume that each letter is going 
in, it can be done. Hope this helps.

Okay, I was able to log in on the web from my laptop as you did.  

I was able to look at my profile, and saw I needed to make some changes.  I 
couldn’t get them to stick, perhaps because the page timed out.

Thanks for all the responses. I have taken the advice offered and now all is 
good. I reckon it's part of the bank's new log-in screen that's supposed to be 
so much more improved. I was scared when I didn't find anything happening on my 
braille device. It's all good. I appreciate the help and clearing up my fear.

do not recieve the normal click sounds with other password fields but

Question about the Bank of America APP

I just tried to add a "pay to" account in the Bank of America APP under 
billPay, and after filling in all the info, when I went to save it, the "save" 
button was dimmed. I read and reread the info I'd inputted and still had no 
success adding the account. If anyone on this list uses the Bank of America

I just tried to add a "pay to" account in the Bank of America APP under 
billPay, and after filling in all the info, when I went to save it, the "save"

First, if you cannot log in, you probably will need to call Bank of America and 
get your log in credentials reset.

If it doesn’t say for business, it is likely the right one.
It will say something about the mobile banking app.
Here is the link to make sure:

Once you are logged in and start poking around, come back with questions where 
you cannot figure it out on your own.
It is pretty clear, but some things may need explanation but we won’t know what

back to a previous screen or sign out.

This time I set up alerts and then was able to go back to the previous screen a

Perhaps it’s the iPhone 8 that is the problem.

Actually it was my husband’s phone that we were trying to do this on so I’ll 
see if he wants to work on it again!

I don’t remember which tab we went into but we were looking at alerts to see 
about modifying those and that is where we couldn’t find a back button nor a 
button to sign out and the tabs on the bottom were not the same as on the home 
screen.

Maybe I’ll put the app on my phone which is also an iPhone 8 and work with it 
some more.

to find a continue button. I actually called AIRA and they were able to help me

Okay, so I got logged in and selected one of the tabs on the bottom just to

Hello,

 

I’ve downloaded the bank of America app to my iPhone 8 with the latest IOS 
update and find that it is not very accessible. 

 

I received a verification code which I entered but then it was very difficult 
to find a continue button. I actually called AIRA and they were able to help me 
find it using another iPhone to check the screen. There were 2 buttons which 
were not labeled so that I could say whether I wanted the device to be 
remembered and AIRA had to tell me which button was which; yes or no.  

 

Okay, so I got logged in and selected one of the tabs on the bottom just to 
check out what was in there and then I couldn’t find a back button and the Z 
scrub didn’t work. I couldn’t even sign out of the app so I just closed out of 
the app and will wait for the session to time out to log me out.

 

Does anyone have any work arounds for this app or am I doing something wrong? 
Is it just not accessible? Maybe it’s slightly usable?

Hi Debbie,

I do this so often I did not even think about this. If you touch the upper left 
corner of the screen, there is an item called Go Back to Previous Screen. You 
can also swipe left and find this, it is the first item on any given page. 
Also, sometimes, it’s helpful to use Explore by Touch. You do this by touching 
in the middle of the screen if you get stuck and cannot swipe anywhere. I 
wonder if possibly the app did not install properly on your husband’s phone? It 
can happen. Let me know if I can assist further.

Maybe I’ll put the app on my phone which is also an iPhone 8 and work with it

back button on the screen, but really do not need it. Let me provide a few 
suggestions to get you started. First, the tabs you want are on the lower right 
corner of the screen. By default, the accounts available to you should appear 
first. You can single finger double tap to activate any of them. Along the 
bottom right corner are a list of tabs. They include accounts, transfers and 
bill pay. Just double tap any of them to activate them. There is an electronic 
assistant called Erica. She can assist in paying bills, transferring money and 
many other tasks. You don’t have to use her, I find I do sometimes, and other 
times, I use the app’s facilities to do what I want. Finally, on most screens, 
there is a sign out button. Again, just double tap to activate and confirm you 
wish to sign out. Swiping from left to right should help you once you activate 
the feature you wish to use. I would be happy to assist further if you wish, 
but this should get you going.

Never had such an experience.   BOA is the most accessible banking app and I 
never found any button that’s not labeled  
For continue or done button, I would start looking at the bottom right corner

I found the same thing you did. It disappoints that a bank that large would not

Bank of America App

Hello,

 

I've downloaded the bank of America app to my iPhone 8 with the latest IOS
update and find that it is not very accessible. 

 

I received a verification code which I entered but then it was very
difficult to find a continue button. I actually called AIRA and they were
able to help me find it using another iPhone to check the screen. There were
2 buttons which were not labeled so that I could say whether I wanted the
device to be remembered and AIRA had to tell me which button was which; yes
or no.  

 

Okay, so I got logged in and selected one of the tabs on the bottom just to
check out what was in there and then I couldn't find a back button and the Z
scrub didn't work. I couldn't even sign out of the app so I just closed out
of the app and will wait for the session to time out to log me out.

 

Does anyone have any work arounds for this app or am I doing something
wrong? Is it just not accessible? Maybe it's slightly usable?

Payees you have set up will now display as you swipe through the list.  You 
will notice an unchecked box next to each payee.  You can check as many payees 
as you wish, thereby allowing you to make multiple payments.  Before, you had 
to make one payment at a time.  I was finally able to demonstrate the issue of 
only being able to display 5 payees to an Engineer, and ultimately the problem 
was resolved.  You need to get the latest update to the app.  It took a while, 
but I think it was worth the effort to bring this to their attention.

Bank of America app is fixed in today's update. At least, I can read my 
transactions now. I did not check if they messed something else up, but that 
issue is fixed.

bank of America App Fixed

I downloaded an update to Bank of America’s app.  The ability to explore by 
touch when completing the payment screen appears to be working again.  I 
haven’t looked at the transfer screen yet, but I’m hopeful that will work 
properly as well now.  If you do encounter problems, please report it here, and

I also use the B of A app. I don't have investments so haven't
experienced what you are saying on those pages.
I have, however, experienced something similar on  the pages to pay
bills and to make transfers. Mostly towards the bottom of the page
when I'm trying to get to the next step or done. I didn't find it a
huge annoiance, I was just glad to be able to get to it at all without
a lot of trouble. This is probably not what you wanted to hear, but
that is what I have noticed, as you said, for a while.

I use the app and deposit checks; I have partial vision although I 
cannot see much of what is showing in the viewfinder for aligning the 
check. It usually takes me several tries for each side of the check. 
I place the check on a surface with a contrasting background and with 
good lighting. The app uses an automatic process that will take the 
photo when the check is properly framed and at the appropriate 
distance. It really takes trial and error. Don't forget the back of 
the check needs a signature.

my friend and I are working on the bank of america App.  Howe ver, when we 
attempt to use the deposit feature of mobile banking, the photos just don't 
come out correctly.  We have tried using the scan stand that is cardboard and 
metal to line up the checks, but that didn't work either.  
Any Help would be appreciated.

I just downloaded the update and it appears to be working fine with voiceover. 
There is an additional menu on the screen which is also accessible. But the 
familiar options are still there, and everything seems to be working as it 
should.

The new one hit the App Store this afternoon.  It is a new design, but
quite accessible.  I am sure I will find minor problems, but nothing serious
thus far.  Amazing what happens when these companies have good testing
practices.
