FWIW, the analog IOs do work
work, but at least there were no errors when starting jackd with
those values. Thanks for enabling RME PCIe :), I decided against RME PCI
because I fear that PCI slots will be dropped for the next generation of
mobos. RME cards seems to be the best choice for good sound cards, when
using Linux only

I am trying to access the different analogue stereo out ports of a RME
Hammerfall 9636. I have installed the Card and the AIO 8/0. My system is a
Ubuntu 6.06.1, kernel 2.6.15-26-386, and alsa 1.0.10.
aplay -l gives me this list:

PS: Maybe you don't see the menu bar of hdspmixer. When using a top
panel, it could happen, that hdspmixer opens with the menu bar hidden

is there the need to edit an /etc/asound.conf to make all RME HDSPe AIO
ADAT channels available as jackd ports? Since years I'm using 2 ADAT
channels only, because the other 6 channels are not routed to the jackd
ports. HDSPmixer does show a signal for all ADAT channel inputs, but 6

money and time, when I e.g. discourage you to buy the AIO. So perhaps
you'll wait until I got a reply from RME and my dealer and until I got a
replacement AIO (warranty).
