Hi Ben,
Thats interesting. Here are some thoughts:
Is there always a crash after 4?
Is it the same 4 forms? e.g. If you just created 4 other sample forms and
used those do you get the same crash after 4?
Do you think its something to do with form number 4? e.g. it didnt like

Hi Danny,
I haven't done much investigation. I expect there is a core but it will be
relatively useless without source. I haven’t run arserver under any of the
tracing utilities. I do run with server tracing on but truth to tell, I
haven't inspected them.
As I said, it is on random forms
Hi Ben,
The core actually can help. You will find the function names recognisable
to us that work with the api. I was thinking you might see a a createfield
then then something like a malloc error on null etc. I have found a few
bugs in my time with that. Work a look.
Data should not matter.

Hi List,
I am currently having trouble updating a Support Group in ITSM 7.6.03 to a new
name using the Data Wizard.
All steps for the update remain in status pending. When I check HPD:Helpdesk or
Support Group Forms, the new group name is already displayed and the old one is
missing.
Is there
For group/LoginName may be still in the cache you need to re-load.

Howard's right. Keep in mind that ServiceNow has as many customers around the

Hello,
We are running ARS incident (customized) version 7.6.03 and we are seeing some
debilitating slowness in some of our end user desktop UTs. We run Windows 7 64
bit on the desktop and overall have had no real issues, except for some of our
power users who are having system lock ups and
One time I had a problem because there was an existing alias with the same
name as the group I was trying to rename. Hope that makes sense. I found
this by looking through the list of forms that get updated when a Support
Group name is changed.

Filters DO fire when doing a Mod-Allthere is no way to modify a record
that doesn't cause the filters to fire (other than special api

Good evening
Rebecca,
big thanks, I found exactly the same situation you described.
The alias caused all the trouble. Even after deleting it, wizard would stay at
Pending for all it's tasks, so I deleted the DLD:Lock entry and tried to rerun
it. That caused a bit of data mess for the renamed group.
LJ, You beat me to saying that

I would say run the data wizard to change the new group back to the old
group, then again from old to new...should catch all of the stragglers.

Wasn't sure if this would be okay after the mess my first update caused. But it
went through smooth in a matter of seconds.
Big Thanks to your contributions, you just saved my day :-)

Hello ,
Filters on modify all will also trigger the underlying filter written on
modify condition.
If you have an very distinct search possible on those records ,and the
fields you are trying to update are not display only then you can try
updating the records using an simple sql procedure.
What you're saying definitely makes sense, but it still makes it look like even
BMC doesn't know how to use Advanced Interface Forms. As I may have mentioned

I am testing calls to some of the OOTB ITSM Web Services. Many appear to be
working fine. However, the most important one that we'd like to use

Portal) is not returning a response and the SOAP UI tool just times out
Hello List,
Just to inform you that a new version of ARSmarts is available on our
website. This version includes some bug fixes, and some minor
modifications to existing functionalities both in the definitions

Totally fits. It just makes sense. If I were SAP, I wouldn't let it happen...
therefore... bidding war over Remedy and relevant pieces between the 2
companies. Who will win? I think Oracle because they have a better balance

Ken,
The arjavaplugin log should tell you what is happening. The fact that wrong
authentication returns an error indicates that the request is indeed hitting
the AR Server. If there is a problem after that, the arjavaplugin log would
say more.

Do you really think its as high as 80%? I would have given Oracle a little
more credit than that. At least I end up working at sites that are more
Oracle centric to meet their database needs.
Cheers

Amar,
You have very loosely used the word integrate.
Integrate could mean any number of things.
So with that very abstract idea of what you need to get done, I would
suggest the use of web services to do what you need to.
While there are some limitations going that path (most of
