A second vote to use the Remedy Restore Tool, plus some hints on licenses. In
version 7.x they are stored in the database so will get copied along with
everything else.
Also, if you are on version 7 or newer the only license key that is tied to
your Host ID (your hardware) is the AR Server
and promotions can be found at

Hello Hany,
You don't mention the version of Email Engine or whether you are on Windows,
but if you are on Windows one problem that exists with the email engine at
least in version 7.6.4 (and others as well) is that there is a leading space in
one of the registry keys.

Lisa, quite right you are about the DMT not having a spreadsheet for Asset!
Thanks for pointing that out. I must have been remembering about Incidents and
Change but when I actually looked at DMT 7.6.4 you can only import asset
relations, work logs and things like that. Asset (or CI) import is
already be on your server,
look for Program Files\BMC Software\DataManagementClient folder.
Hope that gets you started in the right direction!

Hello Pietro,
It depends on what version of ARS you are on, but if the fields are locked
maybe you need to start by creating an Overlay? If you right-click on the
field, do you have an option to Create Overlay? You will also have to create
a view overlay.
Do you want to replace the 3 fields

Do you have a record in the NTE:CFG-Notification Events form with Notification
Event Type = System, Module Name = Incident and Notification Event =
Assignment? Are the Group Notifications set to Yes? That should be the NTE

Jiri, is another term for the token an NTLM hash? Just curious.
Shawn, unless I have this wrong, in the context of Remedy authentication, I
belive what you are getting from your SSO in the AuthString parameter would
correspond to the 4th field on the OOB login screen (Authentication).

If you want to understand CMDB classes and relationships, then you will
probably want to look at the HTML documentation that ships with the CMDB
product itself.

your reboot your server after setting PATH, if Tomcat is running as a

Thats probably the Sun JDK 1.5.0_11 Registry Key bug. In Regedit check
HKLM/Software/JavaSoft/Java Development Kit/1.5/JavaHome. It should have the
path to the JDK, but you will probably see the number 1 there instead.
Workaround is to edit that key.
I'm pretty sure this has been documented
on the compatibility matrix for MT
7.0 and/or try an alternate browser?
Thanks
