Hi, I am not really talking about any custom objects, but objects that are marked as custom in the definition files. I am not convinced that this is your real problem though... Can you import other stuff? Like if you create a form, export it, delete it, and then import it? Maybe something fails

I have had a case where I couldn't see the imported custom object in base mode, only in Best Practice mode. Not saying it makes sense, not saying I have figured out why, just saying it happened(and I haven't submitted a bug to BMC either, yet). Daniel 7.6.04 P2, Windows Server 2008, SQL 2008

Warren, Are you physical or running virtual? BMC do recommend physical - with a virtual environment you can easily add more resources when needed. Some DBA's like to keep the DB physical. We have been very successful keeping everything virtual and just scale up when more juice / disk pace

Connect to the JRE with either jconsole or jvisualvm and see where the cpu cycles are going. Most likely the JVM is busy with GC activities. If this is the case you have a few options: - Tune the GC so that it can keep up with the load, if possible - Move to a 64-bit JDK for Tomcat and increase

Agreed, there are (long) times when you do not see any activity in the install logs or to the db. I have almost killed the installer before but let it run over night instead. Sometimes it is still not finished in the morning but it has progressed beyond where I had almost killed it and does end
