I usually start with the very light hiss rumble remover preset and go from there by plus or minus 3DB, you have to pay close attention but it's the least destructive way and you get used to it after a while.

Thumbs up! It's awesome that your taking this well...I use Gold Wave personally, which is a good step up from Wave Pad, and has decent scripts that work with Jaws below V5.7, along with a decent NVDA Add-on that works
