What do you do when some young wood be magician gets hold of your phone and won't stop calling you? Why try to save his world by mucking about with the laws of physics of course. this is the scenario in Timecrest, an absolutely awesome new game from Sneaky crab games available for Ios. Your Iphone has been contacted by Ash, a young mage on the world of Alynsia (apparently he was communing with apples). Talking to you through his watch, he can send messages across time, (when he's not busy). You can even speed up and slow down time yourself in Ash's world. Unfortunately, the weather in Alynsia seems to be occasional meteors with some chance of total devastation,so your probably not going to get too much time for a nice cosy chat. The developers have just made a major update to the game, adding a huge range of accessibility features, including lots of handy sound effects. With a complex interactive story set in a very different world, an awe

ok, one more question:Currently, I am having to use energy balls to kill the burners and stuff in 25-5, because it seems that I do not have a powerful enough weapon. The triple yoyo is not cutting it for me. Is there something better than that I should have by now? If so, what are the steps I should take to get it? I want to make sure I am well equipped for the next difficulty I try. I should be able to breeze through it, given that my stats are high enough. But I need to know what weapon/weapons I should have by now. I've only made a few so far, like the electric stick, high jump shoes, and the triple yoyo. It seems that most of them require a higher difficulty level to unlock. @kratos: If I am thinking of the door you are thinking of, it is not possible to unlock it from that stage, as that is the door to the north building, which you will be able to enter at a later stage. I don't believe you can enter it from that level. What stage have you made it 
 to?

Hi Wastelander!Niklas mentioned something wich made me think about an important detail:Do you plan to have something like a real generated worldmap?Point is, that maybe you cant reach some territories in the beginning cause your lands are not linked with them. So flying units could be very important to get to all possible places.I wonder how to implement this in the controls or how to manage this world map if planed.Another general question. A bit on the pricey end, but great sounding voices overall. They couldn't have done the demo better in my opinion. The music watermark makes for an interruption free demo. I'm firmly against Vw voices complaining every utterance when they lost their license *makes for some great tts production though* or cepstral voices doing the same thing for that matter. Neither am I in favor of expiring demos either, because those just stop working after 30 or so days. The music overlay is a perfect balance between the two kinds of tts demos we see. It's a nag that doesn't require interruption. The voices are actually pretty responsive too. They lag a little bit but maybe the demo song makes them lag. Maybe what they should do is make the voices function normally for an hour after system boot just so that people can test responsiveness, then activate the demo song nag. But definitely some great sounding voices. Just registered to test them for Android as well, so am looking
  forward to potentially testing those on Android. Great to see them going for Android as now that Ivona has left the scene, Svox's data servers are down, Vestec got pulled from the store, Sereproc lags on any device you run it on, you name it, Acapella and Vocalizer rare eally the only lag-free natural voices we've got on the market, so will be looking forward to these new voices coming to Android.

Such posts aren't really all that new actually, they've been popping up for years on dev sites.The "idea guys" in large companies are typically referred to as Creative Directors, and you usually need a great deal of experience in related fields before trying to get the position, not to mention such companies often have a lot of money and personel that they can justify for having a Creative Director to help manage teams. The Indie scene and small groups of developers function very differently however, and its very, very difficult to get and keep a team together without contributing something other than ideas. Why? Because programmers, artists, and audio engineers all have their own ideas and bills to pay, if their not going to get paid, why should they stop working on the things they want to do too work on your project?Now you could possibly entice people with a truly amazing idea to work for free, but then you have to maintain their interest and h
 elp make them feel invested so they don't move on to other things. Maybe they'll do it for the experience, as part of their portfolio, or for future revenue, but even the greatest of potential gains can only do so much to maintain interest. Bottom line here, you are your games greatest champion, and chances are its not going to happen unless you get started yourself. Either way, I hope you find success and make the game you want.Also if anyones interested in what the roles there are in larger game dev companies, you should check out "The Door Problem" of Game Design [link], its a pretty neat little article describing what roles there are and the ways they fit into the bigger picture.

hi, sorry to say this game is still majorly buggy. First jumping over stuff that you randomly fall over and there's no indication why you might fall. Second, enemies shooting you before you can ever hear them move into the stereo field. Third, the health you get is insane, i.e. you can stand there and be massacred by bullets and still be alive. Fourth, you can use the grappling hook as some sort of projectile, as in some sort of remote controlled missile, a grappling hook is meant to be something that you shoot in one direction and it goes until it either hits a surface you can grapple on or it runs out of line or drops. There are also tinier bugs I can't really describe well.

It would be cool if some races could build machines and vehicles as well wich they can use. For example, a modern race could have robots and turrets and such things. Maybe some alien type races would be cool as well, some of them could be robotic themselves, a bit like the protos in I think it was star craft. Thought I trow that into the mix since there are a lot of different races even yet, from normal humans to life forms inspired by horror and fantasy. Maybe a bit scifi could fit in there too.And what do you think about my idea of optional missions and tasks?Another thing wich may be interesting is to have some professions, like cook or hunter and such. This way, you have to manage daily life tasks, like care for your people, keep them happy and make food, drinks and such. A bit life simulation between the wars and all that would be nice as well, since daily tasks are still there if you have a kingdom or a empire, even in a war.

Techmaster20, these game companies basically work on the principle of money. Some guy high way up in the hierarchy says we want to create this and that game, and you will be paid to design its story, gameplay, levels and whatnot, as it's your exclusive job in the company. Programmers are other people on the list, paid for other things, same for sound designers, musicians, graphics designers, etc, etc. This community just doesn't work like that, at least not yet. So, basically, if anyone thinks they can just say hey guys, I'm looking for someone to code this idea for me, someone to compose the music for it, another person to write the script, and yet another one to gather all the sound effects, then they at least need to have the funds to pay for it all to go smoothly. Otherwise, it won't simply be their game in the end any more.It might sound bitter or cruel or anything but it's just the way it works in practice, in real life.Or, if someone in
  the community is fine with that arrangement, then I can only envy them, as they obviously have no full-time job, a lot of free time, but no significant lack of money to pay their bills and everything.Lukas

@Mata sorry to hear that, the exploration screen has been altered slightly since earlier, but I'm free to answer any thing that's got your confused@connor glad to see you again too dude! gonna be working on warsim a lot now so hopefully you like what's coming up@Bucklee12 the demon horde is my favorite faction, because they are insane, the lore of the world is that once every few hundred years the demon horde arrises from the gate and causes havok and it takes the strength of all the kingdoms united to strike them back to where they came from, well... as it stands the other kingdoms are busy so its up to you!there are a few ways of tackling the demon horde, one of which I discovered earlier, the most popular way is building up a massive massive army, doesn't matter what's in it, peasants, slave soldiers, who cares, you'll need an army at least 30'000 strong to take them on, build a big army up ready for the final battle and w
 atch the fireworks go off! Demons don't go down easily but quantity does the trickanother method of dealing with them is taking out their support, there are demonic lords hidden among the world in the explore screen, I won't tell you where but some are very plain sight, take care of them and the demons get a little less support each turn, then the more obvious camp of demon worshippers and you've got a weaker hordeone trick I used when the horde sprang up early in the game was attacked them once per turn with an 800-1000 man army, the army was lost and each turn I would try to grow my economy while building an army, each turn I would knock them down slightly until eventually they disappeared for a year or two until they were back at strength, this went on until I had a strong enough economy to wipe them out in one big battlethere are also a few artifacts that help, the best is the demon shield, this artifact basically blocks the demons from being 
 able to attack you, so you can sit back happily while they destroy the surrounding world and leave you untouched!

Currently, I have an iPhone with iOS 10 installed. I have noticed a bug in the Tips App found under the Extras folder. While using the voiceover, I'm not able to go to the next tip because one finger flick down jesture is not working. As you know, to move to the next tip, you have to perform one finger flick down or up jesture as same as you do whenever you want to cycle through pages. Has anybody faced similar problem?

New tts voices available

Hello folks:Innoetics, the company who brought us the UK male voice of Ian, have released three new American English voices.  I was a beta tester of these voices as some of you know from my recorded audio.  There is one male and two female voices to choose from.  John is the male voice. This is by far my favorite.  John sounds like a radio broadcaster/newsreader.  Martha is one of the female voices, who kind of has that newsreader tone to her also.  Then we have Tamar, a young girl's voice.  This one sounds pretty hot.  Check them out at the innoetics.com websiteJake

my new online engine, coded in python

Greetings all. Its been a while since i've released anything, but here goes. This package includes both a server and a client ritten in python, that can be used to write your own online games. The package includes a full area system, movement system is already coded in with full 360 rotational movement, etc. The very start to a space system is coded but the engine can be expanded for you to add stuff like, say, ground vehicles. Their's no sounds with the client as you'll need to provide those yourself, simply create a sounds folder and place sounds into their. The server includes 1 area example to get you started, while the client includes my menu class in case you want to use it in other projects. Make sure to read the readme before you ask questions or attempt to set the package up. Let me know if this is useful to you in anyway. I'm surprised you think this game is actually a fun game. Have you tried The Blank Game? It's another game I made, and it's much better than the Term Paper games. For one thing, a lot more of the game is in English, and it has much more content in it for you to play. And what do you need help with in this game? It's very simple. If it's the menus, they're in post 3 of this topic. There is no magic in this game that you can find in the magic or skills, (special) menu. All of that is accessed through items. If it's the Japanese, check out the guide for playing Japanese games in the Articles section of this forum. And if you really want the first Term Paper, I can upload the current version. But I warn you, it's filled, with, bugs. It's nothing like this game. Bad sounds, no skills for you to use, only one person to play as, and the enemies are either really weak, or impossible. And with the final boss of the first game, I mean it's i
 mpossible. Another bug is that the ending of the game is not in the game. What I mean is that it's the end of a game called Dungeon Quest. I used the source for that game to make Term Paper, and it still has the Dungeon Quest data in it. And yes, I'm allowed to use that source. It comes with Text Game Maker 0.63 as an example.

hello,the game is absolutely brilliant however, i would have a demon horde question. or observation, or call it whatever. is it just me, or. i can send thousands of soldiers on them, but while few demons die, on my side are countless deaths. do they require some special attack, or big power or whatever to defeat? i found the gate on the Southern lands. i dont mean the lava, but the gate, or camp or what is it. do i need first to press the 18th item in the attack menu on the start of the year, then somehow try to attack the gate, or go directly there?for example i had about 15000 soldiers, thousand knights, etc, and almost all of them died, and they was like able to kill about only 1300 demons?

I've just started this one and [[wow]]! it rocks, I've very much liked games like the 3D games ones (lifeline etc), and one button travel that do time plus choice based stuff, and this one looks more complex than any of that sort I've seen uptonow, which is great. I also love the soundtrack. I'm not that far through as yet since I couldn't try this until later, and am still on the first chapter, but the story is definitely intreaguing, particularly the way unexpected things tend to happen and I definitely look forward to seeing where this goes.

A user interface can cost anywhere from $50 USD  and up.     Just depends on what you're looking for.   My Tascam US-1800 costed me $200 USD and it has 8 XLR, 2 Instrument, and 4 line in's  plus digital in, midi in/out, and 4 outputs.   It's USB as well.   They have a newer model out though.

Yeah, The only thing that I know comes close is the Playstation 4.  I was trying to find something for my dad that allows him to play Blu-Rays and stream media with simplicity in mind.  I may just settloe on an Apple TV for the streaming and then he can control a blu-ray player with a remote just fine, but I was trying to find an all in one package.      Thanks anyways guys.

Hi Kevin,I figured it out.I set the mode that pressurizes the room to minus 61 and it unlocked the door,.however I'm enjoying the game but the game is lagging on my windows 7 64bit laptop.is there a way I can reduce the lag so that I can play the game smoothly?I open up task manager and I go to the processes tab and I find code7.exe is using a lot of my CPU time and the fan speeds up Whenever I play the game.

All I can really say here is to head to where you hear the speed boosters and line yourself up with them as you go. You're basically going north and west for some time, then you're working your way back north and east a bit. If you end up in a narrow path with a bunch of speed boosters right in a row, you're almost done. You'll be going east really fast for a while then slowing down as you get to the ladder.

Love the idea soul keeper! especially "sword-wielding faceless corpselord" or axe-wielding ectI made work on a massive random medeival weapon generator a few years back and always wanted to use it, could impliment it into the game, would be cool if the aftermath battlefield could be looted and the loot could be sold and tradedand I love the idea about forging weapons, different cultures could have different techniques, you could even trade techniques for money with other kingdoms, ie a kingdom of dwarves using special kind of axes you cannot forge, you can either buy the axes from them or pay lots to learn the way to make them yourself!Love it!

First off,Crazy party has recieved a good bit of update treatement with new parry and reaction battle cards, new game choices and some extra multiplayer options for microgames where you can hear other's progress. As always Yonder topic exists for comments and questions. Then, Beatstar pro has expanded even more (and not just because of the goodness knows how many soundpacks). Now we have more minigames and achievements to go around,from crazy pong to deal or no deal.  toxic manic angry rabid dire seagulls, will be pleased to know that Huw2k8, developer of The wastes is now working extremely diligently on his next project. Imaginatively called Warsim, this is also a textual game with a lot of randomly generated content. This time however you'll be managing a kingdom, quelling bandits and rebels, taking land, recruiting knights, fighting in bloody Roman style arenas and enslaving goblins, while playing politics with nations around you populated with anything from minotaurs to gnomes. Hi all,Is anybody getting this game? Is it worth it? The "Open Challenge" mode seems interesting, they ditched showcase mode and brought back Road to Wrestlemania, and I wonder if it has its own story heading into WR33/34, because it hasn't happened yet.Also, I wonder with Smackdown if you put those shows into Universe whether the new guy from Smackdown recorded any commentary. He is so much better than Michael Cole and doesn't have some cheap Mic.Thoughts?

Lol Phil, it is true there are now two of us, or me, or at least now a Mr. and mrs. Dark, however getting Mrs. Dark to try games and write news could be a rather interesting proposition since she's only just getting introduced to audiogames. Oh, and yes, definitely just the two of us I'm afraid. A games timeline would be great, though the devil's own job to put together and keep updated. With the db I do write "ongoing" when talking about the releases of games that have onrunning updates made to them, particularly muds and browser games, but we don't list anything specific for updates.

Technically, the game is in stereo... just not the character and impact effects. the music and even voice acting is probably in stereo depending on scenarios, there just is no panning of sounds during fights.Personally, blazblue has never captured my interest... the story is so convoluted and it's hard to follow, plus the presentation not being too exciting with only a few animated scenes and the rest being music and voiced dialog kinda has me bored. The amount of actual fighting compared to time sitting there and watching isn't really equal imo. But I'm still getting this game just to see what it's like... and maybe I'll get back into it. The fighting system is enjoyable for me, with how much there is to sink my teeth into, but I tend to prefer characters who are at least somewhat in the real world... there's just something about Blazblue characters that don't grab me.

One problem you will find is that not only is TTS needed, but so is some kind of OCR that can read unusual fonts. The menus on most discs are graphic with no mackine readable text tags. Some menu options will be for generic actions such as Play or Set Up, which can be interpreted and the action spoken, but most discs have menu items pointing to other video clips on the disc, such as previews, and those will probably need to be sent to OCR first, then sent to TTS for speaking.

Hi again DgleksThanks for your answers.How much do audio interfaces cost?As I didn't use these kind of things for many years I am like a beginner again.And when I was at university other people set sonar for me up so I learned only how to use it.I think I was using it with an edirol ua09 usb soundcard if I remember right and a midi keyboard. I had the screen reader coming out through the primary soundcard and sonar through the edirol.Maybe I still have this sound card around.But I don't know anything at all about instruments since sonar came with a few of them and I didn't look for anything more.Nikos

The only time I did was for King of Dragon Pass, because, well, everyone should experience that. And I bought Uno on blind fold RS-games, mistake as I rarely play it on the phone now that I have a Windows computer. I've spent a good $5 already on the time crystals. Five whole dollars. So yes, it's that good. I'll probably spend more than this on it though. I'm on part two, the door.

Does anyone know where assault_freak's let's play of Shadow Line went? all I can find is the old version with only part one and two.Edit:So embarrassing.  I found it. I guess when I'm in a subdir of the audiogames forum, new releases, search only functions within that subforum.Edit 2:None of the links work.  Trying to find Riru or however you spell his name. Exactly. Without meaning to sound offensive or anything, you basically got just an idea, and one that already has several different implementations in the same genre. You asked for specific tasks that you want to distribute to people. That all sounds okay and fair and fine and everything, but what would you be doing yourself then? In the end, after the game was done, what would remain to you that would still allow you to call it your game, besides just the idea? I have never understood this recent, seemingly worldwide trend of idea guys basically showing up with an idea, but their only real skills being imagination and the ability to distribute the specific, actual work tasks to other people. Oh, I figured it out! Guys, it does matter which exit you come out of. There are two exits you can use if you go west, then down, there'll be another exit on the right.

@KevinDid you checked this solution to add screen readers support to the game?It's coded in Unity so I think it's possible to compile this library:https://davykager.com/projects/tolk/Maybe this will not work but still, worth checking out. This is the same what was used in Skullgirls, 2d fighting game on Steam.. I'm not sure if it will work here as Mike Z have his custom engine so it was (probably) easier to add this library.
