Maria Elena,
That is a tough one, but I don't think your ancestors are in this it.
To me, the groom's name looks like Antonio de Medeiros and the bride
is Josefa da Conceicao.
He from Achada Grande son of Manoel de Medeiros and ? da Rocha. She
from Sao Pedro, Ponta Delgada daugther of ? do Rego
Oops I guess I looked at the other cert. first!
After Maria da Silva it says she is entombed in this church.
I had this same situation with one of my ggrandfathers, I had to
locate his first marriage to find his parents names.
Good luck,
Maria Natalia
Linda,
I think you can call the grandparents Avo I have heard it used we just
always used Vavo. It's like calling your grandfather, grandfather vs.
grandpa or as they say here in Texas, Paw-Paw. It's much less
formal. Just as we never in our family called our mother mae, always
mama. And
Charlene,
It looks like the groom's name is Braz Valladao do Rego. I have seen
Braz as a given name before in the records but not in my family so
far.

Ed,
Thanks for posting your link, I enjoyed browsing through your
adventure to the Azores. It is amazing how much you packed into a
weeks visit! We usually only see Sao Miguel as that was where my
parents were from, and that is it.
We are hoping to go to the Azores and the Continent next
