I finally found my ancestor, Antonio Moniz's baptismal record, in 1753,
Maia. Unfortunately, it's so faded that it's hard to make out.
Would someone give it a once over to see if I've got it right? I'd
appreciate it. It's image 0040, the one in the upper left hand corner.

You have to drag it to the 1:00 position and let go.
I made a video on how to do this but accidentally exposed an email address.
So I need to reshoot unless it can be blurred out. Anyone know?

Some people weren't coding it right, so FTDNA was getting the wrong
information back for statistical purposes. So now you have to link your
cousin to the tree that you've uploaded to FTDNA and then FTDNA tells you
the degree of relationship. But if your 2nd cousin is also your 3rd cousin

I don't know where you are looking, but I'm guessing the church is named
Sao Tiago so the guy was a native (born there) and a parishioner (goes to

Yes MtDNA is important. I had a gentleman who was searching for my ggg
grandmother for 25years!!! I emailed him and told him I believed it was my
ggg grandmother. Luckily we found a female couisn 94 from his side and mine
which came back as positive match.
