we banded a cardinal at the hilliardton marsh it has been one of several
cardinals spotted in our area this year. Cardinals are very rare for us in the
north but this year we have had over a dozen sightings. I was hoping someone
might be able to shed some light on why we have so many this year.

There were four Purple Sandpipers foraging together, sometimes on the same
rock, at Pipit Point on the LSS this afternoon. The spit is closed during
