Medium NE to E winds were possibly responsible for few observers
30 minutes ago I flushed a female Snowy Owl from Snake Island in Kingston
Harbour. Upon taking flight it was harassed by several Herring Gulls. It
circled the island a couple times and landed on the south end. It took flight
again, got harassed again and eventually flew off towards Simcoe

In the Fall when we have East or
South-east winds, it can be rather exiting along the Lake Huron
shoreline near Forest.
In the afternoon after 2pm. the occasional GOLDEN EAGLE can be
found. Today at 3pm. two passed directly overhead at about

year Ian Cannell and I still did quite well down there. We again only birded
Hanlans Point and for the first trip since Sept. 28th we did not find a N.

We begin our Quinte Area Bird Report at Prince Edward Point where a
RED-THROATED LOON was seen on the 17th. Twenty-five COMMON LOONS were seen the
next day as were 20 HORNED
Much to my surprise, the family of 5 Ross's Geese were at Wildwood this
afternoon. They were east of the 31st line and in both the pond and on
he flats north of the pond. There were still 2 Yellow Legs there as well.

Hey Birders,
I was surprised to see that no one has reported yet. But the Fork-tailed
Flycatcher hadn't been seen as of 4:00pm today. My Dad and I had searched
from 1-4pm throughout the onion fields, as well other birders we had talked
too reported much of the same. Some had been there all
If memory serves me correctly, that's the third Snowy down south in the
past week or so. Considering that Boreals are also on the move already, it
may be a very interesting winter.
