For those of you who don't follow Ebird, I thought I would post a quick
report of the interesting birds seen in and around Erieau today. I arrived
at the Erieau harbour this morning at 7:10 and Jim Burk came soon after.

This afternoon at approximately 1:30 (from the Berm Trail), I observed a
cave swallow flying out over Harmony Creek and the marsh for several minutes.
The bird was in the SW corner of the marsh about 100m north of the lake. It was

On Friday 13 Nov 2015 I estimated the number of COMMON LOONS Loons in a loose,
swimming raft at at least 2,300 birds. I was at Minet’s Point Park in Barrie at
around 10 a.m. I could not find any Pacific Loons among them, but there was at
least one adult RED-THROATED LOON. There were also good
I encountered the same flock of gulls noted by Steve Charbonneau in the
field with mostly Ring-billed Gulls at 3:45 and at that time I scoped 35
Franklin's Gulls which may be the day's high for that area.

lagoons. Close to 3,000 ducks, predominantly dabblers, were present.
In the last cell, we briefly saw a female wigeon, before it spooked, that
