My new build machine is an intel haswell. On the abortive 7.9-rc1 system (abortive because of the glibc issue) I have ended up by installing kf5 and plasma, along with sddmR,. to check that upgrading wayland to 1.10 seems ok. But when I rebooted to graphical mode, both icewm and xfce worked

The last time I needed to copy from a PDF, I fired up evince and was able to do so without any difficulty. But that was probably a couple of years ago. Now that I need to again copy from PDFs, on 7.9, I do not seem to have any PDF viewer which will let me copy. Has anybody got a current version
