Well, I spent all day yesterday pretty much assembling 24 boxes for CDs. We have open-faced cabinets for storing CDs, but somehow got these totally lame trays as inserts. The trays are flexible, so every time you would pick one up, the CDs would either shift around or more generally fall out.

How much and what sort of insulation are you using? Should be at least 4 inches in the walls and 6 in the ceiling of fiberglass, r 12 and r 20 respectively. The big deal is to seal all air leaks through the building so the cold can't get out or the hot get in. The insulation will take care of

Have you thought of planting some modest sized deciduous trees like maybe apple trees which don't grow too high but which would help shade in the summer and permit sun heat in the winter? Adding an awning over the window if it receives direct sunshine also helps and maybe over the door too.

If you build a ground level deck you will want pressure treated lumber on the ground for sure. I mention it in case you are one of those who objects. anything else won't last at all long. Concrete though isn't all that difficult and down right easy if a Ready Mix truck can get close. Lockstone
