For the most part they are over rated. They may sound good on a certain
song which was used to demonstrate them but overall they don't really sound
that good.

Other ideas, then, on very small compact systems with good sound?
Looking for something to put in my kitchen, to jam with, while cooking,

Claudia put a set of bluetooth speakers or remote speakers and use your
computer to play the music.

I have heard them, and have been aware of them since the 80's.
I can say this for sure, expensive and worth the money in the sound
reproduction.
You may spend $2k and it will sound worth $4k.
They had a stupid dolby b that you couldn't turn off, in the earliest
system. I doubt there is anything
Hi;
I have a bose table radio/cd and it is very nice but very
expensive. I found a company call cambridge soundworks that, in my
opinion) has better sound for about half the price. Their products are
worth the money.

I think Bose make decent consumer grade speakers. One has to understand what
their goal is. They want to provide the best sound
they can in the smallest enclosure possible. Think of it as range of sound
verses the size of each speaker. Given this, they have
done a good job.

Terry, I'd agree with you where music is concerned for the most part.
I don't know that the average person really understands all this and
I'm not an engineer, so I tend to follow my ears in all things. As a
bassist, I am very aware of the sound and quite frankly for long wear
and good
And I should add that if you want to install the radio under a shelf,
they do offer for $50 a bracket that is more like a shelf itself and
you attach to a surface and the radio sits on a tray.

Hi,
Does anyone have a Bose system, and if so, is it really all that they say
it
is?
We're thinking about such a system, but we're wondering if it's worth the
money?

Also, are those systems very complicated in nature?
Thanks.

I have a Bose table-top radio, it is everything they advertise it to be. It
is extremely easy to operate and the remote control card buttons are laid
much like the buttons on the radio itself so when you've mastered one set
you've mastered the other.
I do not have the Wave System with the CD
Claudia, which system are you referring too? I have one of the Life-
style 25 surround-sound systems that we have had for about five or
seven years and we love it. I am wearing a pair of Bose Tri-port
headphones and I really love them and they are the most comfortable
pair I have owned.
Claudia, I have a bows acustic wave radio I paid dam neer 1000 dollors for
and , not worth it, Phil Parr.
