Thank you for all that responded to my 718 problem with transmit in the USB mode. Here is what I learned. It runs out that the default settings in the menu allow for turning each mode on and off. The transmit mode of USB was turned off. I am not sure why such a setting would even exist. I

I am having an issue with my new Icom 718. While the receiver is a big improvement. In five different attempts, I have attempted to make a contact without success. I thought it was just band conditions, until today. I noticed no lights on my tuner in USB mode, 20 meters. No green light on the
