I had the old Heath Cantenna dummy load. I had it filled with real transformer oil… it later became a problem to get rid of it legally and the thing was kind of messy to have in the house. Kept it in a dishpan. I will probably stick with my MFJ dry dummy load and the radio’s output meter.

Regarding the question about preparing for THE TEST... I'd like to mention my own experience. I had to spend a lot of time around the house at Christmas so I decided that upgrading to Extra from Advanced would be a good thing to do. I bought a course from HAMTESTONLINE.COM for about $35.
