Have you tried putting cferror tags in various places, for instance
onApplicationStart or so?

I've done some searching and haven't found any answers yet so I
figured I'd throw the question out here and see what comes back :)
I have an Application.cfc in an app which I want
=#session.applicants# index=applicant
cfif Len(applicant[firstName]) or ...
/cfif
/cfloop
Multiple benefits:
- Much better datastructure in your session scope instead of gazillion
individual variables
- Less string manipulation and # signs in your loops

I would have a look into that datasource idea with your staging environment
again. Maybe just build a simple testcase and see if calling the logic that
runs the query in staging triggers the re-execution of the query in production.
Also - you're 100% sure there that it doesn't get kicked out of
Nope, you're wrong re 4. There's no underlying magic that notifies CF that a
query has changed. If you cache a query for whatever timespan CF doesn't talk
to the server for that timespan at all unless you flush the query cache by for
instance setting cachedwithin for that query to a

If you've got a critical piece of CF work to get done, don't upgrade your
machine unless you want to spend a few hours trying to figure out why it
isn't working and then downgrading your install.
But of course, if you don't have anything that's critical, plus a spare

Totally! But I guess I've seen too many people upgrading their one and only

+1 - A message queue is the best solution for this type of problem.

I think the solution is a message queue. It's a system that guarantees
the message (record) is delivered to the other system (database) and
it can give that guarantee because it stores all the messages in it's
