I think the race should have been invalid. The RC screwed up. And I can't
imagine the carnage in rounding the mark to port and then trying to get past

Of course, it happened when it was driven ashore on Key Biscayne, Fl., during a
120-mph hurricane called Wilma.
On the positive side, it apparently sailed itself all over Biscayne Bay during
the height of the storm with no apparent damage until it hit shoal

A good friend of mine was a yacht broker / importer back in the 70's or maybe
before ( can't confirm as he is now deceased.
He told me that the centerboard CCs at that time had a design problem and
several centerboards fell off in Long Island Sound! Obviously Cc fixed that
problem long ago!!
The recent singlehanded LO300 and LO600 results can attest to the
slipperyness of the 35 MKII. I really like that boat.
