I’ve been using Navionics on a pedestal-mounted iPad for years
(also have it on my phone), and it works fine for what I need on Lake Erie.
However, I was chastised by someone on this list for previously reporting this.

Like Bill, I’m a fan of 3M products. On my 34, I used a 3M black butyl tape to
re-bed my genny tracks. Seemed to work fine, but it did noticeably and
unexpectedly ooze out over time. I now use Bed-it due to advice from this
list. I believe it’s superior to the 3M product I used.

FWIW, I used a Loos gauge for my rod rigging this past spring to equalize the
tension of my upper and lower shrouds. While sailing in a breeze, I noted that
the lower shrouds were loose compared to the upper shrouds. Go figure.

I was using Outlook on a Windows 10 machine when it started. Today I
began using a newer version of Outlook on a Windows 11 machine. I ran into the
same issue -- some e-mail notes come through normally, others as an attachment.
Your note below came through fine, by the way.
I'm reading less e-mail traffic due to the attachment issue. I previously
read everything from the list. If there's an attachment, I only open it if
the subject line is enticing.
I think John Read may be on to something.

A related question: does anyone know of a comparable butyl tape that is
wider?

I believe a few listers responded. I was not one of them as my yard does not
have the type of forklift you described.

Following up on what John said, the same vintage 36 is a fine

for your family at this time, and will not be quite so eye-opening on many of
the issues described so far for making the jump
