Stopped by the feeders at the Red Rocks Trading Post around noon threw out
some seed. Felt just like home as the Golden-crowned Sparrow popped into view

Since I won't be able to get to the feeders at the Red Rocks Trading
post for the next couple of days, I took some seed down about 4:30P.M.
and stayed for 45 minutes. Seems like some new birds arrived during
the day. As soon as I arrived I noticed two White-winged Juncos side

morning below the platform feeder. He spent the next 10-15 minutes
alternating between feeding under the platform feeder and retreating
in to the shrubs.
Other highlights of the morning at the feeders
The Golden-crowned Sparrow showed up 7:22 A.M. on the flat rock just
to the left of the upper apple tree. As is often the case, the 1st
year White-crowned made an appearance followed shortly thereafter by
the adult Golden-crowned Sparrow. Seems like the two often appear at
the feeder
The Golden-crowned Sparrow showed up under the lower apple tree about
7:27 A.M. this morning. If you are planning on visiting the feeders
at Red Rocks this weekend, plan on bringing some seed with you. I
will be unable to visit the feeders this weekend.

Threw some seed out early this morning at the feeders at the Red Rocks
Trading Post. The Golden-crowned Sparrow was seen early in the
morning on the flat rock under the upper apple tree and later in the
morning under the platform feeder. Lots of birds with the snow and

male Cassin's Finch perch in the crown of the lower apple tree for a
