This is a great Southern recipe for butter milk cornbread. I have made this
recipe and it turned out great. I hope that you enjoy. Mike
2 cups self-rising cornmeal
1 ½ cups buttermilk
3 tsb oil
1 egg
Set oven to 425 degrees. Place oil in cast iron frying pan and place frying
pan in the oven
Custard Skillet Cornbread
1 1/2 C. yellow cornmeal
1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. sugar
1 C. milk
1 C. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 T. butter
1 C. milk
Preheat oven to 350°. In large mixer bowl combine all ingredients except
butter and 1 C. milk. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl
I see that ila is offering a dial microwave for 65.00. Has anyone used this
microwave? How accessible is it? I'm guessing since it is dial it's probably
easy for a blind person to use. I'm not in the market for a new microwave, was
just curious about it.
Does anyone know how to make honey butter?

eggplant, carrots, onions, potatoes (all kinds), squash, peppers, (red,
green, yellow), mushrooms, sun chokes. They release their juices and blend

(3 ½ quart crock pot)
