-Caveat Lector- From Korea Herald Trade row with France, Holland looming over dioxin Korea seems to be heading for possible trade frictions with France and the Netherlands as the two European nations are strongly protesting against a ban on the sale of pork imported from them. France and Holland have lodged official complaints with the government, demanding the measure be taken back, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said yesterday. In an official letter sent by the French Embassy to the Korean government, France alleged that its pork, beef, chicken and dairy products are free from dioxin, a cancer-causing chemical, the ministry said. The ministry quoted the letter as maintaining that the French quarantine authorities have already taken swift and effective measures to stem dioxin contamination. The Netherlands also filed a formal compliant with the government, alleging that samples of animal feed imported from Belgium have tested negative for dioxin, the ministry said. The two nations contended that Korea's sale ban is too harsh given that Japan and the United States have not slapped a ban on the local distribution of pork imported from them, the ministry said. A ministry official said France and the Netherlands are hinting at taking retaliatory measures against Korean products but that the sales ban will stay in place until the safety of pork imported from the two countries is ensured. In addition, Belgium has also sent the government an official document alleging that pork produced in the country is safe for consumption, he said. Amid the escalating scandal over dioxin-tainted meat imports, the Korean government officially banned the domestic sale and use of pork imported from Belgium, France and the Netherlands Monday. According to the ministry, 8,776 tons of pork have been imported from Belgium, France and the Netherlands since Jan. 15 this year with 5,826 tons presumed to be circulation in the market. They speculate that the hardliners in the North Korean military are testing the patience of the Kim Dae-jung administration and its Sunshine Policy of engaging with the reclusive country. As an attempt to find excuses to sabotage Seoul's peace gesture, the North Korean military might have dispatched its Navy ships, they conjectured. Ahead of the June 22 meeting in Beijing between vice ministers of the two Koreas, North Korea is testing the will of the South Korean government, they said. It is clear that in the North, both doves and hawks are clashing frequently over ways of responding to Seoul's peace gestures, they said. As the NLL was drawn unilaterally by the South, North Korea is seeking to nullify the artificial line, they speculated. As the area has abundant fish resources, the North Korean Navy is seeking to help famine-stricken North Korean fishermen catch as many fish as possible, they noted. The incursion, which ended without armed conflict yesterday, is also intended to divide public opinion in the South on Kim's Sunshine Policy, they added. But as there is no way of understanding North Korea's motives, ``we are just speculating,'' they noted. A key presidential aide said yesterday that the Seoul government has been in close contact with its allies over the incursion of North Korean Navy ships into the Northern Line Limit (NLL) off the west coast. ``If necessary, we allies agree to cooperate with each other (on contingency),'' said Hwang Won-tak, senior presidential secretary for foreign affairs and national security affairs. He said it is an undeniable fact that North Korean Navy ships have crossed the NLL buffer zone, which is a clearly provocative act, adding that North Korean Navy ships are acting as if the buffer water territory is their own. Hwang said as it was a clear violation of the armistice agreement, the South has asked for the opening of a meeting at the truce village of Panmumjon, which Pyongyang rejected. He said North Korea refused to accept the message asking for the meeting, saying it is an instruction from its leadership. Diplomatically, Seoul has informed its allies of the incursion of North Korean ships, he said. He recalled one of the three principles laid out in President Kim's Shunshine Policy of open engagement with North Korea, ``no toleration of military provocation by the North.'' Also, Malachi is the Jewish spelling (the Christian is Malachy) and he says he was named after one of his relatives -- a banker fleeing Spain under Queen Isabella --- now let's put on our thinking caps and see what group that banker was undoubtedly from and also Malachi said as a young priest he used to shake skeletons in old Cardinal's faces (during Vat II) to get compliance. He said the "power" become intoxicating. These last two gems from interviews done by Ben Kaufman in the Cincinnati Enquirer when Martin was just over from Rome in 1971, now a layman ??. Martin since 1977 has been "Apostle to the Conservative" Catholics, writing "inside information" that ultimately demoralizes the reader. Martin also write to both sides, the pitiful Catholics still looking to him for hope in the present morass he helped create, and to the Judeo-Masonic side. He states clearly that Siri was the Church's candidate and that his taking power would have meant the end of the anti-Church. He also states that Paul VI (Montini) was the candidate of the anti-Church. Mr. Gurman states the failure to monitor the CME was do to a "detector was being baked out" and "the reformatting of software". This occurred during an American Astronomical Society meeting in Chicago on June 1st, at which the BCC was covering. It was well attended by physicists, scientist and astronomers. For a moment, when viewing the monitors at the convention they thought they had a "real planet buster" of a CME. After further determination, the scientist realized it was heading away from earth. (What a picture for Warner Brothers, I can see the move now). Mr. Gurman went on to state "If I had to guess" regarding the omission of this date, June 1st, " the LASCO folks (had) no one in over the Memorial Day weekend, and somebody's "automatic" software broke." At the Centennial meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) in Chicago last week --- a meeting very well attended by solar physicists, since the Society was founded by George Ellery Hale, the pioneer solar physicist --- we (actually, ESA paid for most of it) had a Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) booth in the exhibition area. In addition to "canned" videos of past SOHO observations and science presentations, the booth included two PC's connected to the Internet; the PC's were provided by the group at the Naval Research Laboratory who operate the LASCO coronagraphs on SOHO. LASCO and the Extreme ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (EIT) share electronics, so the NRL people as well as we (the EIT team) both reformat the EIT data and make movies of them. The PC's from NRL were designed to grab movies of the most recent 24 hours or so of images from LASCO C2, LASCO C3, and EIT from machines at the SOHO Experimenters' Operations Facility (EOF) here at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt Maryland, via the Internet, and display them for the folks attending the AAS meeting exhibitions. There were two problems with this: 1. The EIT CCD detector was being baked out over the Memorial Day weekend to improve its performance (see: http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/eit/CCD_bakeout.html for more on CCD detectors and why the EIT one needs to be baked out occasionally) 2. The reformatting software --- that turns the raw telemetry into viewable images --- on the LASCO workstations in the EOF had broken down over the holiday weekend, when noone came in to check on it. (Most of the people who usually did so were in Chicago, and the one other fellow was on his boat on Chesapeake Bay.) So, we didn't have very current movies of LASCO images for the first day and a half of the meeting (May 32 - June 1), and then when the data started flowing again, we saw the great, bright halo coronal mass ejection (CME). Unfortunately, what one needs to determine whether the "halo" CME is headed towards or away from the earth --- they look the same in white-light coronagraph images because the scattering geometry is identical --- is by looking at what happens (or doesn't happen) in the lower corona: i.e., in EIT images and we weren't getting any EIT images (aside from "darks" taken with the shutter closed, or calibration images taken with a visible-light lamp flooding the CCD, to calibrate it after the bakeout. This is a standard procedure every time we do a bakeout. So the situation in Chicago was that we had a great-looking halo CME, a substantial number of eager journalists, and no EIT images with which to determine whether the CME was directed or directed toward or away from the earth. The BBC journalist evidently decide he (or she) knew the answer when the SOHO scientists at the AAS meeting were still

The Fireworks I Want to See This 4th of July I am one of those scandalous Americans who carry a copy of the Citizen's Rule Book, that remarkably seditious document which is a weapon of instruction and a rod of correction. Using this assault weapon -- defined so because those who purport to rule us find it threatening -- makes it easy to show any of the millions of fearful non-seditious exactly how far our "government" has slipped into tyranny. I care very little for the Constitution as constitution, it being a mere plan of government and flawed at that. I care a great deal for the Bill of Rights, which is the separate instrument that warned our increasingly centralized government, even back then, that individual liberty was and is the single most important thing about America. And I love the Declaration of Independence, because it tells tyrants to go to hell. I also know that the socialistic moldwarps over at National Propaganda Radio will read our forceful and illuminating charter on the 4th of July, with absolutely no awareness of the irony of their doing so. We'll hear the smarmy, self-righteously snide voice of Cokie Roberts mouthing these stern Jeffersonian sentences of rebuttal to and refusal of tyranny. We'll hear the puling tones of Daniel Pinkwater (who is regularly heard on National PudPuller Radio saying "Public Radio International" as if it were some sort of Golden Calf) reading parts of this most important record of our nation. And we'll hear all the rest of the propagandists-who-can't-wait-to-be-globalists letting their slimy tongues slide over the words of something they will never understand. Unless, of course, we help them to understand, which brings me to the fireworks I want to see this 4th of July. I want to see brimstone and hellfire light up people's minds. I want them to actually read the Declaration of Independence and understand its relevance to our own day--more so now than at any other time in our history. I want to see a burning in people's hearts, a spark to give them the courage to do whatever may be necessary to dislodge these miserable, impertinent cockalorums making up our current corrupt government. I want to see fire, and I want to see it ignite our spirits to resistance. Fierce resistance. We have been "more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right [ourselves] by abolishing the forms to which [we] are accustomed." We have, so far, simply suffered all the various assaults listed in the Declaration. We have put up with murders and thefts and attempts to make us numbered and docile slaves. No more. Without Resistance, we and our children will be slaves. Our "representatives" have already passed far too many of these new feudal orders for us to question it. "Our" president, that chinaman- thief, is over reporting and paying homage to the communist king's office as I write this, and our judiciary is the worst of this craven clutch who are busy attempting to enslave us. Fireworks. You may ask, "Does she really want to see 'bombs bursting in air'? Besides my love of fireworks, I'd have to say no. I do want these feudal bastards to bugger off. But will they? No. Will I be a slave? No. So, necessarily, fireworks. "But when a long trail of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government and to provide Guards for their future security." Fireworks. So be it. I want to see Resistance. I want to hear the boom of people saying NO to these ubiquitious ugly laws being passed with such speed: National ID, numbers for patients and health-care providers, registering all firearms (and no doubt fireworks as well), databasing our liberties out of existence. THE ROOTS AND CONTEXT OF THE KOSOVO PROBLEM IGNORED BY MOST MEDIA AND POLICY-MAKERS * Professor George Vide Tomashevich It did not start in the 1980s and it cannot be resolved in the 1990s without some understanding of what happened to both of these nations prior to the advent of the New World Order. Six hundred years ago, Albanians and Serbs were two neighborly Christian peoples who, together, defended their own countries against the Islamic Turkish invasion and lost. The conquest of the medieval Balkan states and their incorporation into the Ottoman Empire set in motion drastic population dislocations and transformations of many ethnic groups, the consequences of which the world is witnessing today. Because of their geographic location, the most profoundly affected were the Serbs, whose territory, for centuries, was the battle-field between the Habsburg and Ottoman Empires. In the course of several hundred years the Serbs became dispersed throughout the former Austrian imperial provinces which, in the 20th century, are claimed by several successor states. Following the death of their great leader Skenderbeg and the fall of their medieval state in 1468, under the Ottoman pressure, most Albanians converted to Islam. Some Serbs, under the same pressure, left their cities and river valleys and withdrew to the mountains of Montenegro and Herzegovina. Other Serbs migrated to the Austro-Hungarian domains which included Krajina, Slavonia and the Pannonian plains of Vojvodina. The greatest Serbian migration from Kosovo to the Austrian- controlled territories took place in 1690, in the wake of the last Turkish siege of Vienna in 1683. There they joined the earlier refugees and, like them, became the Habsburg border guards (Granicari) against further Turkish incursion into Central Europe. By the 19th century, as the Ottoman Empire continued to decay, the Serbs started their descent from the Dinaric Mountains back to the plains, thus repopulating Serbia's fertile river valleys which their ancestors had left centuries ago. There, they mounted two major insurrections against their Ottoman rulers, in 1804 and 1815 respectively, which ultimately led to the independence of Serbia and Montenegro and their eventual recognition as fully sovereign Serbian sister-states, at the Congress of Berlin, in 1878. In 1918, after the collapse of both the Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires, the country of the South Slavs - Yugoslavia - was created from the former provinces of these two antagonistic powers. There even are suggestions for a ``study commission'' - a kind of graveyard where policymakers bury problems they cannot, or will not, solve themselves. Whatever name is used - blue ribbon commission, special task force, select advisory panel - the intent usually is clear, one Congress watcher says. ``Beware of the politician who rises to strike a pose of great concern about an issue and then recommends a commission,'' says Paul Light, director of governmental studies at the Brookings Institution. ``That is a sure sign that he or she does not know what to do and hopes to postpone the inevitable day that they'll actually be called to account.'' Two recent commissions - one created by Congress and the other by President Clinton - spent months studying the financially ailing Medicare program and the country's racial divide without reaching a consensus. Sen. Bob Kerrey, D-Neb., who served on panels that studied entitlement programs, the Internal Revenue Service and, this year, Medicare, says commissions are useful. For one, he says, the way Congress operates - with two distinct legislative chambers and structured committee system - limits the opportunities for lawmakers to work together to tackle a problem. ``It's not a small item to bring people together that are of different parties, in almost different worlds in the House and Senate and allow them to sit for a long period of time,'' Kerrey said in a telephone interview. Since the school shooting April 20, the entertainment industry, the media and the Internet all have gotten blamed for glorifying violence. Many have urged stronger gun restrictions. Further study could not hurt, particularly on an issue where the existing research is so ``ideologically tinged,'' Light says. Still, he believes commissions generally are not worth much. The House is expected Wednesday to begin debating gun control and measures to crack down on juvenile crime. The Senate passed a juvenile justice bill last month that includes several gun control provisions. Officials at all levels of government use study commissions, often to delay the day of reckoning. But in some cases, they do manage to shed light on issues and their recommendations are adopted. Congressional analysts estimate that hundreds of study commissions have been created over the years, though precise figures are not available. Some are effective and memorable. The Kerner and Warren commissions - on 1960s race rioting and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy - are among them. Others include the military base closure commissions and, most recently, the panel that recommended major IRS reforms that were adopted last year. A national gambling study commission created by Congress plans to release its final report Friday to the White House and Congress, with recommendations to slow down new casinos and lotteries nationwide, increase to 21 in the minimum betting age and offer more help for addicted gamblers. Those people actually consist of more than 90 percent of the population, including the majority of the communists. They all have this kind of desire. Therefore, although there has never been any vote by show of hands, my fate is closely linked with that of 1.2 billion people. This is why this issue has become very important. But I never consider this to be my personal issue. Q: I am rather curious how you took this road, a very dangerous road. After graduation from the middle school, you became a Red Guard, joined the military service, and worked as an electrician. What personal experiences drove you unto this road? Was it after you read any books, met somebody, or saw something that you took this road? A: The situation in China then is known to all. There were very few books. Very few books could be found. Really limited. Apart from novels, most of the books I read about political theories were actually Marxist books. However, as long as you think in terms of the future of mankind and the conscience of the people, whatever road is taken, the destination will be the same. If I may quote a Western proverb: All roads lead to Rome. The most important thing that first broke my blind belief in the Communist Party was the constant changing faces and positions of Mao Zedong and Madam Mao during the Cultural Revolution. I was really disappointed and shocked to find that the Communist Party was not as good as it said it was. They were not working for the interests of the people but for themselves. I started thinking about a lot of problems since then. I devoured all the books I could get, day and night. More importantly, after that, we were sent to the countryside before I joined the military service. While in the countryside, I saw in reality what would be beyond my wildest imagination, all the great disasters the Communist Party brought to the people. While in the military service, I heard about all kinds of real situations in various places from other soldiers who were just peasants before joining the military service. Of course, my unit moved around the country a lot, thus giving me opportunities to see different places with my own eyes. In Shaanbei (Central China), residents had only about 100 kilograms of food, mostly yam, for the entire year. I saw how people were surviving in the extremely harsh environment, not at all like the beautiful picture the Communist Party had described. All this made me think more deeply, suspecting that the problems might not be that simple. It was not that this person or that person was bad, but probably there was something wrong with the wholesystem. After years of thinking, I reached the conclusion in the mid 70's that the Chinese people would soon fall into great miseries unless the social system is made democratic and the Chinese people could control their own fate instead of letting it be controlled by a small number of people. That was the main reason that I got involved in the Democracy Wall Movement. Q: But almost immediately after you took this very dangerous road, you were arrested in 1979. Although you were released for a short period afterwards, the Chinese authorities put you in the prison again. I understand that later in your prison life, you were put in a cell with transparent glass wall on 2 sides (Wei: on 4 sides), yes, 4 sides, with the light on 24 hours a day. You had no contact with other people. During such a long time in the prison like this, I wonder how you managed to maintain your psychological balance and your sanity to prevent yourself

TED HARRISON THE Russian politician Yevgeny Primakov is the latest in the long and ignoble line. He is a successor to Nero, Adolf Hitler, Henry Kissinger, Ronald Reagan and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl - he is the Antichrist in waiting. Throughout Christian history, no prophecy of Christ's return in majesty is complete without the presence of a Satanic figure, an Antichrist, waiting to be vanquished. For centuries scholars have examined the allegorical book of St John the Divine, written 1,900 years ago following an apocalyptic revelation which came to St John when he was living on the island of Patmos. He was shown the war to end all wars at Armageddon. He saw the awesome serpent of evil, the Beast, the Devil himself; he was warned against the dreaded mark of the Beast and was told about the abominable forces of darkness. With the new millennium approaching, even more attention than usual is being paid to the Book of Revelation and other apocalyptic scriptures. Among others, the US tele-evangelist Pat Robertson has publicly identified as consistent with biblical prophecy a sinister cabal of individuals doing Lucifer's work in the world. The Beast plays such a central role in the final denouement that it is thought by many Christians that once they have established the identity of the Beast they will know that the end is truly nigh. There are several clues. Clearly the beast has to be a personification of evil. The early Christians, the victims of torture and persecution, identified ultimate evil with their chief persecutor, the emperor Nero. Earlier this century, Adolf Hitler fitted the bill, as did the dictator Joseph Stalin. The Book of Revelation also talks of the number 666 being highly significant. This is the mark of the Beast which the damned are to have written on their hands or foreheads. It was the number 666 which for a while identified Ronald Reagan as the Beast because he had three names, Ronald (six letters) Wilson (six letters) Reagan (six letters) - a damning coincidence if one believes that numbers can carry hidden messages. But why should Primakov now be fingered as a likely candidate? First there is a widely held belief that the Antichrist is alive today, even if he has not yet been widely recognised. According to the evangelist, David Hathaway, the man who years ago was rescued from arrest behind the Iron Curtain by the then prime minister Harold Wilson, the Antichrist will also first be revealed as a herald of peace and world government. In the current issue of his magazine, Prophetic Vision, Hathaway says that Russia is forming military alliances with those nations listed in the Bible to attack Israel. "World peace and world government will come through an attack on Israel when the Antichrist will be revealed." In the next paragraph Hathaway begins writing about the man he claims is the "most dangerous man in Russia today", Yevgeny Primakov. Primakov could be the next Russian president, he says. He speaks Arabic fluently, had a Jewish father and is anti-US and NATO. All very ominous, it is implied. On the other hand, the Antichrist might not be an individual but an organisation. One theory suggests that the Beast is in reality the European Union. So, it is said, the Brussels bureaucrats will not only introduce a single currency across Europe but use modern IT technology and bar codes to abolish cash as well. All transactions will be carried out by electronically scanning a micro-chip implanted under the skin on either the hand or forehead of every citizen, in much the same way as identification chips for dogs can be implanted. The information encoded in this chip will include the fearsome number 666 - the mark of the Beast. Several fundamentalist groups say this will lead inevitably to a cashless society and world government. Their proof? Chapter 13 of the Book of Revelation says: "No man might buy or sell save that he had the mark or the name of the Beast or the number of his name" on the right hand or the forehead. The Book of Revelation also implies that the establishment of world government must precede the return of Christ in glory and power, when the Beast is to be taken prisoner and thrown alive into the Lake of Fire with the false prophet. For members of the religious Right in the US, the establishment of world government is imminent and they accuse their own federal government of being part of a huge conspiracy. They say a sinister body called the New World Order is at work. In his book, New World Order, Pat Robertson suggested that some of the US's leading politicians might have inadvertently become spokesmen for "a tightly knit cabal whose goal is nothing less than a new order for the human race under the domination of Lucifer". The Antichrist perhaps? This cabal which Robertson traces back over 200 years has, he says, infiltrated

Nor does it succeed as prophecy: the famous dateline came and went without too much fuss. The world went to hell in a handcart, as always, but totalitarianism did not finally penetrate the central nervous system of civil society. In 1984, Margaret Hilda Thatcher did her peculiar best, but Big Sister she was not. Fifty years ago to the day, an old Etonian socialist and former Imperial policeman gave the world what can best be described as a fictionalised essay on liberty, an extrapolation of tendencies already observable when he was writing. Nineteen Eighty-Four, still selling 60,000 copies a year today, stands not as predictive science fiction but as a warning. Eric Arthur Blair (George Orwell) might have been clever to spot the advent of intrusive CCTV, social anaesthesia by pornography, or the destruction of truth through the debasement of language and the mass media, but he was not creating a future, alternate or otherwise. The best joke of 1999, perhaps, is that one of Blair's namesakes runs a country, an Airstrip One, in which the clocks have yet to strike 13. The real irony of his book's success is that, misunderstood, it turned its own sober assessment of polluted language into a cliché. "Orwellian", both as a word and a dimly-understood concept, has become a prime example of late-century tabloid newspeak. All agencies of government are these days routinely Orwellian; traffic wardens are Orwellian; applying for a driving licence is an Orwellian nightmare; criticism of the Sun is Orwellian; attempts to prohibit fox hunting are Orwellian; the internet - and what might Blair/Orwell have made of that? - is the perfection of Orwellian threat. This is prolefeed, and is not quite what the man behind the nom de plume meant. He would have noticed, nevertheless, that his name is taken in vain at the fag end of the century by people of every political persuasion when they want to damn their opponents as enemies of freedom. But then, this was the book's problem from the beginning, and it is a problem that springs from the novel itself. No sooner had Nineteen Eighty-Four been published in the United States (selling 170,000 in its first year) than Orwell was noting sourly that "some of the US Republican papers" had been trying to use it "as propaganda against the Labour Party". Writers on the left, meanwhile, were accusing him of producing right-wing Cold War propaganda. Some thought he was warning against fascism, some against Communism, some against multi-national corporate capitalism. The confusion - and it persists: Conservatives tend to be keen on the socialist Orwell - is easy to understand. This, after all, is the writer who fought for the Spanish Republic and nevertheless dubbed histotalitarian regime IngSoc (instantly identified as English Socialism) and who, just after Churchill's war, called his lone hero Winston. This is a novel set in the aftermath of a nuclear exchange in a society for which perpetual limited war has become the reason - and excuse - for everything. Did Orwell mean the Warsaw Pact, NATO, or both? Readers could choose according to their prejudices. In attempting to explain himself, the novelist struggled. Nineteen Eighty-Four, he said, was a parody, merely something that could happen. Yet the trends it described were equally, even in 1949, "deep in the political, social and economic foundations of the contemporary world situation. Specifically the danger lies in the structure imposed on Socialist and on Liberal capitalist communities by the necessity to prepare for total war with the USSR " Equally, he rejected vehemently the fond belief of American critics that he was attacking the Labour Party, of which he was a supporter. Having seen the Communists at their worst in Spain during the Civil War, happier persecuting the Anarchists who were his comrades than fighting fascism, Orwell in reality, and in his every conviction, was an anti-Stalinist socialist. Even in 1949 this was a concept beyond the grasp of many critics. Yet it raises another paradox. Having warned, in effect, of what a perpetual cold war could do to a society and its values, did Orwell not actually help to perpetuate the real Cold War? Did 50 years of fictive exhortations against the evils of an absolutely centralised economy (generally identified as some version of the USSR) not simply persuade people, Americans in particular, that their own military-industrial complex must be equally powerful, equally beyond criticism or control? In describing a world of armed camps Orwell, we could argue, offered a powerful case for their existence, at least in the west. Glasnost, in any case, is not

CONSIDER THIS: The standard, Judeo-christian interpretation of Matthew 25:14-30 is that the slave master is the good guy and the disobedient slave is the bad guy. On closer analysis of this text, in the context that Jesus, who was, by standard Jewish/Judeo-christian accounts, a rebelious slave himself, the text must be analyzed from the point of view that either Jesus, like the rebellious slave in this text, is either the good guy or the bad guy. If we assume that Jesus is the good guy then it logically follows that the rebellious slave, not the slave master, in the Mathew 25:14-30 text, is also the good guy, which turns topsy-turvy the notion that earning profit on money is good. The economic and financial implications of this little twist of theological thinking has immense and far reaching implications regarding the conflict between capitalists, communists, international socialists, and nationalists, particularly national socialists. When the Matthew 25:14-30 text is analyzed in the broader framework of various philosophical views about money, particularly Aristotle's contention that money is sterile and that it is morally bankrupt to earn profit on money, it puts the modern economic notion that money is not economically productive, and hence not part of the economic equation, into central focus and brings to the front burner the fundamental global conflict now going on as a result of the Zionist NATO attempt to expand the IMF/World bank interest/debt/tax slavery money system into Eastern Europe. Considering that America is bankrupt, it is only a matter of time until the global monetary system must come to terms with what Karl Marx called finance capital and what Adolph Hitler called the slave's yoke of international capital and its masters, the Jews. The root of this global conflict rests in Deuteronomy 15:6 and in what Islam calls the Deuteronomic Double Standard where the Bible teaches that it is morally wrong for Jews to pay interest but it is morally right for Jews to charge interest (the meliorated slavery scenario moralized by the Bible). Those who are militant anti-communists need to understand that Karl Marx did not invent the slogan from each according to his ability, to each according to his need, he mearly took it out of Acts 2:45. There is a lot going on behind the scenes these days. The Pope's recent visit to Poland has powerful implications. It is time for Christian Theologians to do a serious re-think of what Christianity is really all about. Matthew 25:14-30 must be the starting point for any scholarly analysis of the economic and financial teachings of Jesus. Most so-called christains and lovers of democracy don't have a clew that when they claim that the Bible is the word of God they are giving their blessing to Ephesians 6:5 which is now emobdied in the IMF/World Bank interest/debt/tax slavery money system that the Jews call meliorated slavery God-ordained by the Law of Moses (Torah/Pentateuch). How many so-called christains do you know who believe that Jesus abolished the Law of Moses? Jesus fulfilled the Ten Commandments, not the Torah/Pentateuch. Thomas Jefferson simply said that Christianity is an engine for enslaving mankind. There is an old saying that a really good conspiracy can not be proven. There is also an old saying that where there's smoke, there's fire. I see a whole lot of smoke. What I would like to do with this message is to try focus on the fire, or the root cause of the smoke, which is, in part, what my books are about. INTRODUCTION ...God has raised up the United States for two purposes only: to protect Israel from all enemies and to serve as a base for evangelizing the entire world. Except for these two purposes, America has no `right or reason for existence'. JERRY FALWELL (Christianity Today Sept 4, 1981, p. 25 Quoted from reprint in The Southern Baptist Holy War, by Joe Edward Barnhart, p. 170) FORWARD According to a report on CNN television the average American taxpayer must work 123 days per year in order to pay his TAXES (see endnote on p.224). Based on a 5 day, 40 hour work week, that comes to 24.6 work weeks. If the average taxpayer gets 2.8 weeks holiday time each year that means that exactly HALF OF THE AVERAGE TAXPAYER'S LABOUR GOES TO PAY TAXES. When one takes into consideration the amount of labour hours required to pay the INTEREST on the home mortgage, the INTEREST on the car payments, the INTEREST on the credit card, and the INTEREST on the multitude of other consumer purchases made; and, when one considers the built-in price increases added on to the market prices of products to pay the INTEREST on corporate and other business DEBT; and, when one considers the amount of money taken out of the take-home packet of labour to pay the DEBT on the home mortgage, the DEBT on the car, DEBT on the credit card, and the DEBT on the multitude of other consumer and capital acquisition debts owed by labour to the MONEYCHANGERS, the only logical conclusion one can come to is that INTEREST, DEBT AND TAXES ARE PURE UNADULTERATED SLAVERY OF LABOUR. The idea that Marxism is a theory of liberation or it is nothing is rooted in the Marxian theory of the exploitation of labour, a theory which is supposedly rooted in the fundamental rejection of all forms of slavery, including financial slavery, tax slavery and, indeed, all forms of debt/tax slavery. As the world watches the Russian system of STATE CAPITALISM being converted back into PRIMITIVE CAPITALISM, it becomes readily apparent that Marxism has never existed at any time in the Soviet Union nor does Marxism exist anywhere in the world today, and, that merely swinging the pendulum back and forth between vulgar communism and primitive capitalism is not going to solve the problem of the exploitation of labour. Raya Dunayevskaya made a profoundly important statement in her book Marxism and Freedom when she said that there is a veritable conspiracy to identify Marxism, a theory of liberation, with its opposite, Communism (meaning what Karl Marx called Vulgar Communism). While the general awakening to the idea of vulgar communism seems to have served as a guiding light for the rejection of State Capitalism in the now defunct Soviet Union, from the way things have been developing in Eastern Europe and Russia, however, the struggle for freedom has resulted more in opening up the freedom for the debt/tax slavemasters of the earth to exploit and enslave the working class than to free the working class from exploitation and slavery. Blaming Nationalism as the villain in the Balkan dilemma (or in any of the other struggles by peoples for freedom and independence from exploitation and slavery) is, at best, a propaganda ploy necessary to keep the IMF/World Bank/International Corporate System in global control of the exploitation and debt/tax slavery of all peoples and nations. However, there is no reason on God's earth why each nation or state (or union of nations or states) can not print their own debt free and tax free money for the creation of debt free and tax free business and industrial TRADE with one another and other nations. It is profoundly important, however, to make it unquestionably clear that FAIR trade between nations is an impossibility when foreign investment owns and controls the land, labour and capital of those nations and peoples who would otherwise be free. In fact, rather than Nationalism being the villain, the villain preventing the creation of genuine economic freedom for all people, not only in Russia and the Balkans but everywhere else as well, is the global debt/tax slavery money system which has its roots deeply embedded in Bible Slave Law. Of course, the IMF/World Bank/International Corporate Interlock COULD voluntarily convert into a debt free and tax free money system for the financing of a GLOBAL UNIVERSAL private property economic system but expecting such a miracle would be rather like

The Times, quoting government officials, reported that the intelligence assessment was completed last year and was based on evidence that includes disclosures by a senior Soviet defector, blood samples from North Korea soldiers that show smallpox vaccinations and the recent manufacture of the vaccine in Iraq. The warning was an important factor in President Clinton's decision in April to reverse course and delay destruction of American stocks of the virus, the Times said. A panel of the World Health Organization had recommended in 1996 that the smallpox virus be destroyed, officials told the Times. Only the United States and Russia retain openly declared stocks of the virus now, the Times says. The intelligence assessment concludes that Russia most likely is hiding additional stocks of the virus at military sites, the Times says. Last month, U.S. Health Secretary Donna Shalala defended the U.S. decision to seek a delay in the global destruction of smallpox virus stocks at a World Health Organization meeting, saying the ``threat of bioterrorism has sharpened the debate over smallpox destruction'' in recent years. About 56,000 U.S. troops are stationed near Iraq and North Korea, but officials told the Times that there did not appear to be an imminent military threat involving the virus. Both Iraq and North Korea have repeatedly denied having programs to develop germ weapons. A Russian Embassy spokesman in Washington also denied to the Times that his country had secret military stocks of smallpox. Russian troops, meanwhile, blocked reinforcements for a small British unit uneasily coexisting with a Russian force dominating Pristina airport. Overall, NATO's objectives were being met: Serb troops were withdrawing on or ahead of schedule, and peacekeeping units, including the first American combat troops, were fanning out across the province as planned. But some Serb forces, not due to depart for a few days, prevented NATO soldiers from reaching burning houses in an ethnic Albanian suburb of Pristina, Kosovo's capital. In the first reported fatalities of the NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, British paratroopers shot and killed a Yugoslav police reservist Sunday after the man fired a pistol at a NATO patrol, the alliance said. And in Prizren, the province's second-largest city, German troops returned heavy sniper fire, killing at least one armed man and wounding another. Capt. Jean Morissette, a Canadian military spokesman, also said one German reporter had been killed and another wounded in Kosovo. A Canadian reconnaissance unit had gone to their aid, Morissette said in Ottawa. There were no other details on the incident. About 100 to 150 U.S. Army troops in armored vehicles crossed into Kosovo at Blace, Macedonia, in the first significant U.S. force to join 5,000 NATO peacekeepers already in the province. A convoy of about 1,200 Marines stopped at the border late Sunday before entering Kosovo from Macedonia. They were to enter the southern Yugoslav province at first light Monday. In Pristina, British troops in armored personnel carriers failed after several attempts to circumvent roadblocks set up by Serbs near the suburb of Sofali. Reporters following the troops saw seven or eight abandoned houses burning in the predominantly ethnic Albanian neighborhood. Even after suspected Serb snipers left the scene in several trucks, there was concern about mines on the road leading to the houses. It was unclear why the homes were being set ablaze, but there have been frequent reports of Serb forces setting ethnic Albanian houses afire as they retreat ahead of advancing NATO troops. "We have the authority to go in, but we don't want to fight our way in," Lt. Damien Walker said. "We want to do it peacefully." Under the agreement reached between Yugoslavia and NATO, Yugoslav troops and Serb paramilitaries are to withdraw from Kosovo by June 20. (PO Box 339, Adrian, MI 49221; 1-888-820-2126). This "church" is the product of Pastor Rick Strawcutter, a long-time fixture on the extreme right. Strawcutter is known primarily for having operated a pirate radio station, Radio Free Lenawee, and for having helped to produce militia figure Mark Koernke's first video, "America in Peril," in 1993. He currently manages a mail-order business for extremist videotapes, claiming to have over 500 available for sale. The First Amendment Church of Truth and Sanity is a pyramid scheme cloaked as a church, although Strawcutter claims that it is multi-level marketing. However, there is essentially no product being sold--the only way members can benefit is to recruit more members, which means that the scheme will inevitably fail (one can contrast this to Amway--in Amway, even people who do not recruit members can still sell Amway products and make money doing so). Strawcutter, through personal appearances and a 28-minute video, recruits people to become "missionaries" for his church. They have to pay $125 to do so. In return, they get a "freedom manual" (which discusses jury nullification and phone-bombing public officials), a religious tract which appears to be Christian Identity in nature, and two copies of the 28-minute video, which they will use to help them recruit others. Members can buy other copies of the video--in ten tape blocks--for $30. Strawcutter's "missionaries" are expected to recruit further missionaries. Each time they do so, they will get $25 of the $125 the new missionary pays. If those missionaries recruit others, the original missionary will get $5 for those second-level recruits. This is true for third, fourth, fifth and sixth level recruits (theoretically; there are unlikely to be any). Strawcutter furthermore tells his "missionaries" that all such income is not taxable because it is an "offering" from the church. This scheme is fraught with danger. Strawcutter may be breaking laws against pyramid schemes as well as income tax laws--if he himself is not reporting the money as income. There is also the possibility of mail fraud, since he is mailing out the videotapes. People should be aware that if they get involved in a pyramid and recruit others, they themselves will be breaking the law. Rogue Number Two: Freedom's Call (11757 W. Ken Caryl Ave, F237, Littleton, Colorado, 80127, 800-873-7165; http://www.galaxymall.com/stores/freedom/). Freedom's Call, a "private membership club dedicated to personal and financial freedom," is the child of Chuck and Linda Meyers, who reputedly are 'common law' activists in Colorado. Essentially, Freedom's Call is a method by which the Meyers separate willing victims from their money. This is done via a three-staged "Prosperity Triad": Understanding, Prosperity and Protection. It is also a pyramid scheme in which people are asked to refer new members. Freedom's Call's web page promises the possibility of earning $10,000 in the first four weeks, and "$250,000 realistic potential earnings in just one year." One can only hope that they will get $250,000, because they certainly will be shelling over a lot of money to Chuck and Linda Meyers. To reach Stage One, "Understanding," participants must pay a $999 membership fee. In return they will get a "home study program" which consists of a mishmash of "patriot" materials. The second stage, "Prosperity," allows participants to attend an "intensive workshop" on doing business over the Internet. This workshop "will be in luxury accommodations at a desirable resort location within the Continental U.S." Amazingly, the workshop is "paid for by Freedom's Call." However, the membership fee for Stage II is $5,999, which may explain how Freedom's Call can afford to be so generous with its free workshops. The third stage, "Protection," is one in which members "will be wooed by representatives of various countries of the world extolling the virtues of conducting business in their jurisdictions." Members will visit several Caribbean island nations as part of a "luxury cruise," again, paid for by Freedom's Call. The price tag for membership: $16,999. Naturally he wasn't there but his friend had been and swore it was the truth. 2,500 troops in armored personal carriers (driven by black-lady-soldiers) surrounded the town of Polson MT in the fall of 1994! Everyone wore UN armbands. This was apparently prior to the "black uniform" craze. (Love them black uniforms. You can hit one at 500 yards on a snowy day...) Anyway, they surrounded the town of Polson (near Flathead Lake) and held it at bay for a few hours - then withdrew. Where was not disclosed, but following the signs left by a tracked vehicle shouldn't have been difficult. Unfortunately the news media suppressed the story! They always suppress the story - no TV coverage, no little local newspaper, nothing on the Amateur radio bands, no tourists mentioning strange things - total and absolute suppression. He also had the side story about a black (UN helicopters are always black) helicopter setting down in the town of Darby MT where he lives. After a couple hours of social drinking, we headed across the street to the stadium to try to scalp some tickets for the outfield bleachers. I wore my shades and let my cigarette dangle casually over my bottom lip. I walked to the first scalper we saw and told him that we needed some tickets. He said that it was going to cost us $20 each. I told him that I had $15 for each of them. He could tell right away that I was all about business. He gave me the tickets for my price without even trying to counter offer. We got real ripped at Wrigley Stadium as we watched the Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates. They have these frozen type drinks there made with everyone's favorite hard liquors. I liked the vodka lemonades the best, but they also had margaritas and daiquiris. Those cold drinks sure were refreshing while we sat in the warm sun. After the game was over I asked one of my buddies if the Cubs had won and then we headed over to Murph's Bleachers for some post game beers. I really enjoyed the cold, refreshing drinks while we sat underneath the warm sun in the bleachers. After a few beers at Murph's, we realized that it was getting a little late. We decided we better hit some more different bars since they were only open until 4AM. One of the places we went to had a couple of bowling lanes in it and they had these high school kids working as "pin monkeys". When the ball would knock down the pins, they would set them up again for you. It was pretty damn fun to try to hit those little guys with your bowling ball while they were working. The vodka sours tasted very nice throughout the rest of the night. I was getting a little hungry so I left the bar without telling my buds and headed to the closest convenience store. I purchased a bag of chips and started back to the bar eating the chips as I walked. Somehow I must have gotten lost, because the buildings started to look unfamiliar. I spotted several guys hanging out on a corner and so I approached them and asked them for directions. They told me that I looked like I was in the wrong area. When I asked why, they told me that I was in a "pink zone" and I didn't look like I belonged there. They laughed when I asked what a pink zone was. Their accents were unusual and they sounded a little like those Euro-type boys. They proceeded to tell me that there were other districts like that one in Dallas, Minneapolis, and even Columbus. After they spilled their guts, I began to survey the scene. I noticed that rainbow colored flags hung above the doors to the bars in the zone. The men standing in line waiting to get into the bars seemed to be wearing similar uniforms which consisted of tight jeans and white, tank-top shirts. They all looked like they were in their twenties and in excellent physical condition. There didn't seem to be any women present. Some of them were standing very closely together in pairs as if they were worried that someone would overhear their conversations. At that moment, a black Hum-Vee with tinted windows drove by at a high rate of speed and then the situation clearly came into focus for me. It was as if a fog of lies had just been lifted from my brain. I remembered the conversation I had with a guy at a bar a few nights before. He told me how the UN had troops in America and controlled a lot of our national parks. They were planning to use them as staging areas for the invasion of America. The truth hit me like an elevated train -- the region that I had casually wandered into was UN occupied! I immediately walked towards the nearest bar. I moved towards the line waiting to get in and then snuck behind the guys taking cards at the door. I jumped up and ripped down the flag above the door and sprinted down the closest alley. When I looked over my shoulder I saw that three guys were in close pursuit. They must have been Foreign Legion/Commando types, because they weighed at least 300 pounds and they were still able to run extremely fast (they even kept up with me). -Caveat Lector- -- -- Toilet Etiquette of the Gods by Gipson Arnold Since religion intrudes into so many aspects of life, we should not be shocked when it seeks to guide us in the finer points of utilizing our own bodily functions. The keen interest shown, by gods of religion, in fecal and urinary matters is not openly advertized, but helps to illustrate the extent to which religion strives to infiltrate and control. My attention was drawn to this subject while reading Life on Man by Theodor Rosebury (1). He was writing mainly about fleas, mites, and microbes that live on, or in, the human body, but he also discussed various substances the body excretes. Much of his discussion centered around people's ideas about human waste, and religion's role in developing these ideas. In his chapter titled The Romans Had a God for It, he claims there were essentially "dung" gods, "piss" gods, and "fart" gods in numerous religions throughout history. He begins to cite examples from ancient religions of Central America. He quotes Spanish monks who refered to Ochpanistli as "the deity of filth and sin". Suchiquecal (the mother of the human race), and Tlazeoltecotl (the goddess of carnal love) were both said to be "eaters of feces or filth". Rosebury points to the Baalic gods of Canaan and Moab as examples of deities with similar habits. The scarcity of information about this subject stems in part from the prudery of Christian culture. Detailed accounts of ancient beliefs have been sanitized in order to prevent exposure to "offensive" beliefs and practices. It should be noted, however, that some writings we do have are Christian attempts to discredit pagan religions. Ironically though, certain passages in the Bible help to authenticate the scatalogical concerns of the Judeo-Christian god, and of pagan gods. The Bible says: "You shall have a place outside the camp and you shall go out to it; and you shall have a stick with your weapons; and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it, and turn your back and cover up your excrement." (Deut. 24,12). "Then he (God) said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith." (Eze. 4,15). "Therefore, behold, I (God) will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall . . . " (I Kings 14,10). "Behold, I (God) will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solumn feasts". (Mal. 2,3). When the Christian god threatens to spread the "dung of (their) solumn feasts" in the faces of his followers, it indicates how dung may have played a notable role in early Jewish rituals. The mention of "him that pisseth against the wall" may also refer to such rituals. We find earlier religious fascination with dung in the religions of Egypt. One belief held that the sky was a large meadow which was crawled over by a dung-beetle, or "scarab", which rolled the sun around, the way dung-beetles roll balls of dung. Egyptians thought young beetles were born directly out of the dung, and the scarab became a sky god and creator of life (2). The Mahabbharata, an epic poem of Hindu mythology, lets us see another godly fixation toward bodily functions: "The ear, the skin, the two eyes, the tongue, the nose, the two feet, the two hands, the speech, the genital organ, and the anus, these verily are the ten sacrificial priests. Sound, touch, color, taste, smell, words, actions, motion, and the discharge of seed, urine, and excretions are the ten oblations (sacrificies)." In India, according to some Hindu customs, devout followers have used the dung of sacred cows as part of religious observances. A drink, composed of five products from the cow (milk, butter, curd, urine, and dung), listed in various sources as "panchagavia" or "panch gavya", has been consumed as a form of pentitence for sins committed(3). Might men worship gods of flatelent gas? Lo, it has come to pass! The words "inspiration", "expire", and "spirit" all derive from words meaning breath or wind. When people die, they stop breathing, so breath is equated with the life force, and God is said to "breathe life" into Adam. Beleivers commonly attempted to preserve a person's essence or soul by capturing their last breath, regardless of which end might expel it. Foul emanations from one's lower recesses may be the original "inspiration" for the belief in possession by evil spirits. The Roman deity Crepitus, whose name means "crackling sound" or "flatulence", has been traced to an Egyptian goddess named Le Pet (fart). It is also interesting to note that the Roman god Ajax, who has been connected with agriculture and the fertilization of crops with manure, is now the namesake of a toilet bowl cleaner. (There are many.) One has a knack of calling his defeat a victory, the other keeps pulling victory out of impending defeat. Why? A central reason is that Bill Clinton is a child of the Information Age, whereas Slobodan Milosevic's persona belongs way back in the Industrial Age. Bill Clinton has continuously overcome obstacles by engaging in a two-way conversation with the American people. He listens. He is always reaching out to his constituency, asking them how things are going, what they think about this and that? Bill Clinton doesn't 'rule'. He manages by consensus. And no matter how great his personal failings may be, the American people respond to him because he responds to them. Slobodan Milosevic rules with an iron fist. Unfortunately for him, iron fist thinking belongs back in the Iron Age. He is a dictator, pursuing xenophobic nationalist policies, and his cruelty is only matched by his untrustworthiness. Milosevic has a total lack of understanding of the key principles that underpin the Information Age. He still believes that power is maintained by hoarding information, whereas, in fact, today you get and keep power by spreading information around as quickly and efficiently as possible. You can't keep the public (your workers or consumers) in the dark today; they simply won't accept it. Milosevic is rarely seen in public. He hardly ever talks to his people, let alone listens to them. Serbia has little hope of participating in a productive manner in the Information Age, with that sort of archaic system and thinking. Because to survive, Information Age societies, economies and companies must be open and must embrace and share information. The consumer in the Information Society takes it for granted that the information they require will be available to them. If they come to you and you refuse or are unable to supply them with the information they require, then as I heard someone state, 'your competition is only one click away. Not giving a consumer the information they require today is like refusing to give them your telephone number ten years ago. In fact, the information game has moved on to a whole other level. The free flow of information has for many become a flood. Providing a quality flow of information merely gets you into the game today. You may think your information is valuable but what's really valuable is a consumer's time. A key challenge is thus getting the consumer to spend time digesting your information. Understanding a consumer and developing a relationship with them allows you to know how they spend their time and money. You get to know what their specific information needs are, thus allowing you to customise your information (and product) to their needs. Whatever you might personally think of Bill Clinton, he is unquestionably a pioneer of the Information Age. He knows that you succeed today by communicating, listening and creating consensus. (19 NATO countries staying unified was no small achievement.) I, for one, infinitely prefer a world managed by Bill Clinton than one ruled by the likes of Slobodan Milosevic. -Caveat Lector- Slaughter waiting to happen in UK ??by Andrew Hennessey the mobilisation towards totalitarian control of the UK population appears to have quietened down a bit - even though the stealth fascism is undetectable - we do know that its going on in the background. Central Edinburgh catholic soup kitchen is in the process of being refurbished, a beautiful and very modern place, spacious, accomodation, almost yuppie veneer whilst the renovations within the huge building incorporate a massive new office that would accomodate 6-8 members of staff and furniture. Allegedly in the throes of becoming a community centre, the brand new massive and empty filing cabinets within - each drawer holds 12 lever arch folders and there are 4-5 4 drawer cabinets - speak of large scale record keeping. so I ask myself what community arts centre can anticipate this much filing. Being an experienced office administrator I reckon that there is much more to this than meets the eye. This place is virtually anonymous in profile as anything other than a kitchen. Could this innocent, benevolent soup kitchen come refuge be turning into a tracking registry for the homeless - and if so, what have innocent christian men of god got to do with implementing measures for the secret police in Edinburgh. The filing cabinets look like just smaller than the big kind used by government admin. I would envisage that Theatre/Centre usage might use 1% of the entire capacity of that filing system in 1 year - that there is enough filing space for 100 years of Theatre It seems to me that there isn't enough of a PROBLEM in the community yet for there to be sweeping reforms of homelessness and deviance. The SOLUTION to some as yet undiscovered problem seems already in place - so are we due some horrible massacre in the UK - perhaps a spate of horrific mind controlled crime caused by homeless people to highlight the need for the restriction of liberty by legislation. Before his death, Louis Kelso (co-author of "The Capitalist Manifesto)
and I had several discussions on the relevance of the theory of relativity
for, and on, economic theory. Most Bibles render Genesis 1:1 as "In the
beginning, God created the heavens and the earth". An equally correct
rendering is simply "in the beginning the universe", meaning in the
beginning the universe already existed (in the same sense that in the
beginning God already existed). Eastern Orthodox theology has long struggled
with the eternal co-existence of matter, mind, and conscious being. The
Jewish definition of the universe, on the other hand, has always been that
God exists EXTERNAL to the universe of mind and matter. The great unsung
contribution to philosophy by Karl Marx is his contribution to the triune
nature of the universe; his dialectical materialism, which was the
forerunner of the Theory of Relativity. When Marx said that he could just
as easily ask the question "who created God" as ask the question "who
created the universe", it was not, as his critics would like us to believe,
an antithesis to God. Rather, it was a recognition, by Marx, of the
inseparability of conscious being, mind and matter; past, present, and
future flowing together in the eternal present, with memory reaching into
the past and imagination reaching into the future, always in the eternal
present - Existentialism par excellence. Merely changing the definition of
God from an abstract, intangible, non-entity, figment of the imagination
into a tangible, living, breathing, omnipresent entity called universe does
not, as Judeo-christianity has claimed, make Marxism atheistic, except,
perhaps, in the Jewish/Judeo-christian sense of being anti dualistic
abstractions. Confusing Marxism with Atheistic Communism is a grave error.
Remember the image likeness of God scenario? If you want to see God in
the flesh, look in the mirror, except that maybe you'll see the devil
instead... or both. So much for Christos!
The advent of the formalized mathematical theory of relativity (E=MC2)
abstracted mind and matter relative to the observer which has no
mathematical existence. It is obvious, however, that since conscious being
is, in fact, a reality, even if provable only by solipsism, that in order
for the theory of relativity to be a definitive definition of the universe,
conscious being must be part of, not external to, MC2. Therefore, at least
within the context of dialectical materialism, the observer must be included
WITHIN the MC2 formula. If, as has been postulated for centuries by
philosophers and theologians, the universe is not merely a dualistic
abstraction from conscious being, then it is reasonable to postulate that C2
is squared precisely because it represents TWO forms of energy (both mind,
radiant energy, or C - and conscious being, C1), not merely mind (C2).
Thus, at least within the theory of dialectical materialism, the
correct mathematical formula for the theory of relativity should be a Triune
Theory of Relativity, E=MCC1 or E=MCL, where C1 or L stands for conscious
being, or more properly, conscious-light-space (knowledge of which Plato
speaks of as causing one to be blinded by the light) in a Triune Universe.
While such a formulation may pose some difficult mathematical dilemmas, the
notion that the universe is a trinity stands or falls on the inclusion of
the
Godhead (pure light as opposed to radiated light) WITHIN the definition of
the universe.
The Jewish Takeover of Christianity is not merely limited to the
mundane matters of politics, economics, and finance. The crowning glory of
The Jewish Takeover of Christianity must certainly be the refusal of
Jewish-christians to accept the incarnation. There is nothing in existence
that is not occupied by conscious being, and there is nothing in existence
that does not occupy conscious being of the Godhead into the universe
itself.

omnipresent, and real the Godhead actually is. The traditional idea that

He listens. He is always reaching out to his constituency, asking them how things are going, what they think about this and that? Bill Clinton doesn't 'rule'. He manages by consensus. And no matter how great his personal failings may be, the American people respond to him because he responds to them. What about all the executive orders? He doesn't even listen to Congress much less the American people. Slobodan Milosevic rules with an iron fist. Unfortunately for him, iron fist thinking belongs back in the Iron Age. He is a dictator, pursuing xenophobic nationalist policies, and his cruelty is only matched by his untrustworthiness. What about Waco? That sure looked like an iron fist. And how many bombs did Clinton drop on Yugoslavia (or Sudan)? Clinton trustworthy? Milosevic has a total lack of understanding of the key principles that underpin the Information Age. He still believes that power is maintained by hoarding information, whereas, in fact, today you get and keep power by spreading information around as quickly and efficiently as possible. You can't keep the public (your workers or consumers) in the dark today; they simply won't accept it. You get and keep power by spreading disinformation and getting away with it. Clinton is an expert. Milosevic is rarely seen in public. He hardly ever talks to his people, let alone listens to them. Serbia has little hope of participating in a productive manner in the Information Age, with that sort of archaic system and thinking. Because to survive, Information Age societies, economies and companies must be open and must embrace and share information. Milosevic was interviewed in English on American TV. Milosevic's wife has her own tv show. Has he never been on it? I doubt that. The consumer in the Information Society takes it for granted that the information they require will be available to them. If they come to you and you refuse or are unable to supply them with the information they require, then as I heard someone state, 'your competition is only one click away. Not giving a consumer the information they require today is like refusing to give them your telephone number ten years ago. In fact, the information game has moved on to a whole other level. The free flow of information has for many become a flood. Providing a quality flow of information merely gets you into the game today. You may think your information is valuable but what's really valuable is a consumer's time. A key challenge is thus getting the consumer to spend time digesting your information. Understanding a consumer and developing a relationship with them allows you to know how they spend their time and money. You get to know what their specific information needs are, thus allowing you to customise your information (and product) to their needs. And, if you do a good job at the above you can really brainwash them. Whatever you might personally think of Bill Clinton, he is unquestionably a pioneer of the Information Age. He knows that you succeed today by communicating, listening and creating consensus. (19 NATO countries staying unified was no small achievement.) Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt is using his regulatory authority to halt mining, grazing, logging and oil and gas exploration on public lands. In many cases all recreational uses would be banned except walking and meditating. 'We have to be wary. They want to appease the extreme environmentalists who have this on their agenda and want this to happen,' said Sen. Frank H. Murkowski, Alaska Republican and chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. 'In the next -- Continued from Front Page -- 19 months we will see a significant movement to usurp congressional authority.' Mr. Babbitt also says he may ask President Clinton to use the Antiquities Act to declare some of the public land a national monument. Among other things, the act authorizes the president to set aside land for preservation. Mr. Clinton received kudos from the environmental community when he used that act during the 1996 presidential campaign. He created the 1.7 million-acre Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah to stop mining, and oil and gas exploration. In four of the Western states, the administration is hoping to declare or designate: 2.6 million acres in Utah a wilderness study area. 1.5 million acres in Alaska a wilderness area. 505,350 acres in Arizona a national monument. Several miles along the Upper Missouri River in Montana as a national park, conservation area or wildlife refuge. In a written statement, Mr. Babbitt's spokesman said Republicans should be helping them by drafting legislation to 'protect' these areas from 'big mining companies, the big oil companies and the big developers who want to chop up what's left of their unspoiled American public lands.' The administration has also proposed a two-year moratorium from mineral activity on 429,000 acres in Montana; 165,000 acres in Colorado and 5,000 acres in Missouri. Republican lawmakers say that by removing these lands from future exploration, the administration is hurting local communities by eliminating jobs and tax revenues. It also leaves the United States more dependent on foreign oil. 'There is no question they are trying to stick it to us, and it's really sad. These are pioneer families who made the West, and they feel robbed,' said Sen. Orrin G. Hatch, Utah Republican. 'Their goal is to turn public lands into a museum -- a diorama where all of the people are on the outside looking in,' said Laura Skaer, executive director of the Northwest Mining Association. 'I think they have quietly declared a new war on the West,' she said. 'I expect Clinton will find all sorts of national monuments to start popping up between now and November 2000.' Republican Missouri lawmakers have written to Mr. Babbitt saying the withdrawals were 'unnecessary and inappropriate.' 'It appears the administration has launched an orchestrated campaign to preclude mining on vast acreages of public lands governed by multiple-use laws and to do so without consulting Congress and without soliciting public input or independent scientific review,' Sens. John Ashcroft, Christopher S. Bond, and Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, stated in the letter. Mrs. Emerson fears many jobs would be lost in her district as a result of the administration's actions and says the land would be useless 'unless people just want to stand there and meditate.' Sen. Conrad Burns, Montana Republican, said he is concerned with the lack of discussion or local input from those who will be directly affected. 'There is no doubt they have chosen to make an assault on the West. We may as well be operating under a czar,' Mr. Burns said. Mr. Murkowski is also concerned that the proposed designations are a blueprint for Mr. Clinton to bolster his environmental record before leaving office. Without this technology becomes expensive accouterments. What has struck Beijing is not the fact that it was social democrats who ordered the attack on Serbia (the same people who never condemned a communist regime) but their lack of will revealed by their fear of suffering casualties. Many people have been deceived into thinking that because Clinton and Blair forced NATO into attacking Serbia this exhibited courage and determination on their part. Beijing sees it differently. Moreover, it was not impressed with the aerial bombardment. To be able to plaster from a short distance a small target like Serbia does nothing to intimidate Beijing. And as far as she is concerned, these are weapons she will soon command herself, including counter-measures. Its long term strategic objective is to drive American bases and influence out of the Pacific region and to exercise hegemony over it. Now this does not mean another Pearl Harbour but it does mean that unless China's nationalists are kept in check, if not actually subdued, there will be a great deal of tension in the future between Washington and Beijing. I have written before that the Chinese leadership knows its history. It knows that powers rise and fall. It is coming to the conclusion, if it hasn't already, that America is in a state of terminal moral decline. To China's ruling elite the reelection of Clinton; his popular support; the refusal of the American people to evict him from the White House, despite his contempt for them; his treason and gutting of America's military and the refusal of America's so-called intellectual elites to abandon him are symptoms of a country that has lost its spirit and rejected its heritage and destiny. Nevertheless, keenly aware of the country's weaknesses Beijing will move with caution. Now this interpretation of the American mood and its moral character could lead to Beijing taking a more aggressive stand in the near future against American policy and interests, even if it means uttering threats and demanding demeaning apologies. This will be done to undermine Asian countries faith in American resolve. By convincing Asian countries that America is straw man, an ally whose word cannot be counted on, it would hop to detonate a chain reaction that would result in these countries deciding to throw their lot in with Beijing. I doubt if Americans will ever fully learn the dreadful role Clinton has played in fuelling and strengthening the PLA's ambitions. By selling it the key to America's military secrets and aiding the PLA in modernising it military it has brought closer the time when it can intimidate its neighbours. This is what most American observers have overlooked. To drive America out of most of the Pacific China does not have to threaten the nuclear destruction of American cities; she only has to apply subtle, and perhaps not so-subtle, threats against the rest of Asia. This is not so far fetched as many might think once one realises that Beijing seeks domination and not occupation. The danger, I think, is that the Chinese nationalists tend to view America as Rome viewed Carthage. If this idea should take hold the consequences could indeed be fearful. It is the same kind of idea that took hold among pre-war Japanese nationalists. But I view America in another light. To me she is not suffering a moral decline but sliding into a moral malaise. The common values that held it together are constantly under attack: ridiculed and scorned by its own intellectuals. Its history and traditions mocked and denigrated. Its moral standing in the world battered. This continuous assault has created confusion and uncertainty among the mass of its citizens. If America is going to ever again face down genuine threats to its existence it must first win the war at home. If the so-called values of the likes of Clinton should finally prevail America will be in mortal danger. Its sheer size and reputation for revitalising itself pose dangers that tyrants cannot afford to tolerate. Loses Majority In Poll-Official BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The center-left government of Prime Minister Jean-Luc Dehaene lost Sunday's general elections in Belgium, results from the interior ministry showed Monday. With 86 percent of the vote counted, the coalition of Dehaene's CVP Flemish Christian Democrats, their francophone counterpart PSC and the SP and PS Socialists were set to lose 16 seats of their 82-seat majority. This means they drop to 66 seats, well below half of the mandates in the 150-seat federal parliament. Flemish VLD and French-speaking PRL Liberals gained two seats to reach 41, while Dutch-speaking and francophone environmentalist parties were seen going to 20 seats from the 11 won in the 1995 elections. The ultra-nationalist Vlaams Blok gained four seats to reach its target of 15 seats. The landslide in Sunday's elections came at the end of a campaign marked by a scare over dioxin, a toxic, cancer-causing chemical which was found in staples such as eggs and chicken. A scandal erupted just over two weeks ago after it became clear Belgian authorities had known about the presence of dioxin, resulting from polluted animal feed, for at least a month before alerting the public and the European Commission. The affair cost the health and farm ministers their jobs and forced Dehaene personally to take charge of tackling the scare in which not only Belgian chicken and eggs, but also beef and pork, and even butter, were taken off store shelves for up to a week. The crisis had been predicted to result in a large protest vote, with the Green parties and the opposition Liberals seen benefiting at the expense of the ruling coalition. So does marijuana use (but not 'harder' drugs), being male, and feeling vulnerable to violence or having been victimized by violence among other factors. The research, done long before the Columbine shootings by a group at the USC medical school's Institute for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research (IPR), followed groups of at-risk high school students who had completed detailed questionnaires asking questions about a wide spectrum of behavior and attitudes, looking for variables that predicted violent behavior or drug taking in the subsequent year. The results appear in forthcoming papers in two journals. The racially mixed group of students studied, boys (55 percent) and girls between the ages of 15 and 19, were all from Southern California continuation high schools - special schools for youth with discipline or academic problems. Unlike ordinary high school populations in which violence is a rare exception, for these students it was a rule: fully 70 percent reported having been involved in violence against either persons or property in their first interview. In a set of initial questionnaires, researchers asked questions about a wide range of behavior, attitudes and activities. In the follow-up interviews a year later, the same students were asked about their experience with violent episodes since the initial interview. The student's original responses were then tabulated to see which were associated, within the sample, with renewed violence. Since the group was one in which violence had previously been common, statistical tests were applied to cancel out what Steve Sussman, associate professor at the IPR and lead author on both papers refers as the high baseline violence of the sample, to see which variables could be viewed as predictors of continued violence. A number of variables stood out. One in particular had never been systematically studied before: self-identification with on-campus subgroups or social sets. The USC researchers found that students who identified themselves as part of certain high risk campus groups showed a high tendency over the course of the subsequent year to become involved with violence, drugs, or both. The high risk groups included gang members and stoners. Other categories listed on the questionnaire included identification terms such as brains, jocks, popular, and loners. In the follow-up reports, the high risk groups reported significantly more alcohol, marijuana and other drug use than others (though not more cigarette smoking); and a much higher number of reports of violence, both offensive and defensive. The high risk group was particularly like to be found carrying weapons onto campus. While it may not seem surprising that students who say they identify with high risk group like gang members should be found to be involved in drugs and violence, commented Sussman, the degree to which this is true, and particularly, the degree to which violence can be predicted from this identification, has never been scientifically studied. This element of the research will appear in a forthcoming issue of the journal Psychology of Addictive Behavior. In addition to violence the identification with high risk groups was a predictor of later drug use. It has been speculated, Sussman added, that students who self-identify as loners or outsiders were violence risks. Our data doesn't show that, he said. Sussman's co-authors on the study were Clyde W. Dent, associate professor at IPR; and project data analyst William J. McCullar, a graduate student at California State University Los Angeles. Other variables found in initial interviews to be associated during the study period with violence included a range of items, discussed along with group identification in a separate article in a forthcoming issue of the American Journal of Health Behavior. Most obviously, members of the group who had initially reported to have engaged in violent behavior in the past were likely to continue to engage in such behavior. The study asked a number of questions about drug use, including frequency of use of a range of other drugs, from cigarettes and alcohol to methamphetamine and heroin. Surprisingly, the only drug whose use was found to significantly predict later violence, when contrasted with other drug use predictors was marijuana.
