The board resolution follows strict legal language and should only include the initial PMC members of the new project. I know the resolution draft is ambigous, but that’s why it’s a draft :). Sounds like noone fancies my suggestion to start Solr TLP with committer===PMC. So I’m fine splitting

Here is how I think it should be done (just my two cents): We create two sections in the board proposal: one for initial PMC and one for initial committers. Both are replicated from the existing set with the option for people to opt out. Atri On Fri, 5 Jun 2020 at 01:00, Anshum Gupta wrote: >

Absolutely. We can always add a section about committers. In the board report, I will highlight that we have bootstrapped the new TLP using the existing project. They would be the same lists for both projects. On Thu, Jun 4, 2020 at 11:34 AM Atri Sharma wrote: > Since this is going to be a

Since this is going to be a TLP, I believe there can be segregation between the PMC and the committer list (unlike an incubation project where the only initial entity is a PPMC). On Fri, 5 Jun 2020 at 00:00, Gus Heck wrote: > It's now unclear if non PMC folks should be on or off the list on the

It's now unclear if non PMC folks should be on or off the list on the wiki (and how do we ensure we get added in the end?) On Thu, Jun 4, 2020 at 1:39 PM David Smiley wrote: > If we don't do opt-in (and there's plenty of people who seem to want > opt-out instead), then I propose we instead seek

If we don't do opt-in (and there's plenty of people who seem to want opt-out instead), then I propose we instead seek the board's input on how to navigate these waters. The board is there to help with such things. ~ David On Thu, Jun 4, 2020 at 1:30 PM Ishan Chattopadhyaya <

Let's switch to opt-out based approach. Unless someone explicitly doesn't want to in Solr PMC, he/she should be part of it. On Thu, 4 Jun, 2020, 10:48 pm Anshum Gupta, wrote: > Hi Jan, > > Thank you for taking the lead on this. > > Sure, I can take the lead on this especially as I need to work

Hi Jan, Thank you for taking the lead on this. Sure, I can take the lead on this especially as I need to work on the board report and send our report by the 10th. We just need the PMC members for the draft resolution and I strongly feel that this shouldn't be an opt-in as people might miss this

Jan, That draft resolution is ambiguous as to what *role* the "members" are that are listed. In this email thread here you ask for all committers. My original understanding of that draft resolution was PMC only. ~ David On Thu, Jun 4, 2020 at 5:19 AM Jan Høydahl wrote: > Note: All
